At A&M for a meeting and stayed at the A&M Hotel. Brazos was recommended for breakfast. I'm not usually a fan of hotel breakfast, they are overpriced and nothing special. That's not the case here. Food was very fresh, great menu and really good prices. Top that off with incredible service. Great find. Chloe was a super friendly, professional server that made for a bright morning.

Okay wow! This place is amazing! Pre Covid, my fiancé and I ate here twice for breakfast when they were doing it buffet style and remembered it being particularly good but this was may 2019. We went this past weekend and the brunch was so delicious! The cowboy Benedict was such a yummy rendition of a classic eggs Benedict. Because the sausage gravy and pepper tomato jam on top was SO good and flavorful, I did not miss the regular hollandaise! We also got the Nutella French toast, which this was also delicious! The amaretto creme really stepped the entire dish up a level. Overall, an amazing experience with the food and also great service! Will definitely be going to brunch here when staying at this hotel in college station!

    The 22oz tomahawk

We had a family dinner here after graduation Saturday (whoop!). The restaurant is roomy and able to accommodate a larger group. We had 12 in our group and I believe everyone really enjoyed their meal. The only minor hiccup was them not having avocado/guacamole which was in one of our appetizers and one entree. But, we worked around that. The ambiance was pleasant as was our server. We loved not having to leave the hotel for a nice dinner. The tomahawk takes about 40 minutes to cook but it got rave reviews!

My husband flagged down another waitress after we had been sitting there for 15 minutes without any water or drinks. We also had to flag her down for the check. Considering the price tag for the night, I expected the service to be better.

With that look comes upscale prices. You'd think the prices would match the experience but as with most hotel restaurants, they do not. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of food and drink options here and some deliver such as the Pine & Petal cocktail which is as pretty as it is tasty with the hibiscus, pineapple, mint and lime mixed with buffalo trace. And I enjoyed the Walt Blue Jay Pinot Noir which was a generous pour delivered. As for service, it's the definition of inconsistent. When I sat down, they greeted me within a couple minutes and poured my wine immediately and let me sip it in peace. So far so good. But when I finished, they approached and asked me if I'd like another drink which I replied about the Pine & Petal cocktail. They put it in and then the bartenders go to some other guests and chit chat about some contest they are setting up with the soda gun and building some paper boat to float down it with the person building the best paper boat getting a prize. I'm sitting there thinking are they gonna make my drink or do I have to remind them again? So they organize this contest with about 4-5 participants and then crown the winner. As they're celebrating, the bartender comes back and asks me what'd I'd like to order. I'm definitely a bit peeved since this was roughly 15 minutes after I had asked them to make the Pine & Petal cocktail. So mentioned that I ordered that cocktail a while ago. The bartenders realized their error and made the drink and decided not to charge me for it. While I appreciate the no charge, having the attentiveness to make the drink instead of focusing on the paper boat contest would've been more sufficient. Especially given the reviews commenting about customer service. Should I stay at the Stella again, I may venture here to try the other cocktails. But I'll probably just order one and be done with it.
