I had a coupon for a free onion blossom and figured it was time to check out Texas Roadhouse again since the last time I visited the chain was years ago. I was surprised to find a weight at 2:00 p.m. on a Sunday, but the wait wasn't that long and they had three peanuts so no big deal. The fresh rolls and cinnamon butter weren't as amazing as I remembered, but still enjoyable. The onion blossom totally hit the spot. They have option for regular and spicy and I probably should have opt for spicy, but no complaints as it was. Upon recommendation of a friend I went with the 12 oz prime rib which comes with two sides for $25. I had a caesar salad and the loaded baked potato, which was another dollar or so up charge. The prime rib looked a little fatty but it was actually quite good. The Caesar salad I think had a whole two croutons in it, but again I enjoyed it. The baked potato was pretty good but could have used more bacon and cheese especially given that I paid it up charge for it. The service was solid. Wouldn't have minded a slightly larger table or more space. I feel like it's becoming a trend to squeeze people into smaller spaces to maximize profitability. read more

I have not been to a Texas roadhouse in probably 6 to 7 years and Sunday evening reminded me why. We went to Texas roadhouse around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and it was packed. There were a lot of servers standing around talking to each other playing around and not working as you would expect them to be. We waited about 20 minutes and finally got seated. Our waiter greeted us right away and was very friendly and brought us our drinks. We felt very rushed because once he took our drink order he said are you ready to order? We had only been seated for maybe seven minutes. We ordered their new deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were OK. They were mediocre at best and any home cook or Baker could've made them better. We both ordered a steak and shrimp combo. Due to food allergies, I asked for my shrimp to be grilled with no seasoning. So the food finally comes out, and my steak was supposed to be medium rare, and it was medium at best. Yes, the middle of the steak was red, but the ends of the stake was more well done than medium. Medium rare should be medium rare and not medium rare at one point and medium, and another and well done at another. My boyfriend steak was supposed to be medium, and it came out more medium well. My shrimp came out after my steak and it was barely grilled. The food was not hot. It was lukewarm at best. I also ordered a side of mushrooms and they were pretty much roadkill and burnt. I am normally not one to complain or say anything about it, however, this food was absolutely horrible. Nothing was hot, the steaks were not correct, my shrimp was barely cooked, and the mushrooms were burnt. When I did ask the waiter to either re-cook the food or bring a manager he said OK I will get the manager. He did not return to our table at least for 15 minutes at least. And then he asked me again if I wanted to speak to a manager and I said yes. The manager finally came out and I explained to her the situation with the food and she did comp my meal. I in no way was asking for a free meal. I would've preferred it to be re-cooked but at this point I was ready to leave. Texas roadhouse was really one of the places I truly enjoyed for a steak but after this incident, I will no longer be going there and I'd rather go somewhere that takes the time and the love of cooking your meal, knowing how expensive food is these days. read more

We celebrated my dads retirement and they were so welcoming and friendly! Brought the saddle out and everything hahah. We ordered the Wednesday special and it was delicious, my parents split the tomahawk and it literally melted in your mouth! Do yourself a favor and order the chili, it was so good! Place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to not wait and sat at the bar, luckily there were exactly 2 seats open. Staff was friendly. Love the rolls and the butter. I ordered the smothered chicken with baked potato, delish, chicken was moist. Also had the house salad which was refreshing. Based on reviews and it being a 3.1/5 overall I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. My friend and I arrived around 6:30pm and it was beyond busy. The wait time was about 45 minutes but luckily they gave us an option to sit at the bar and we didn't have to wait. Came here to celebrate my early birthday and I left happy & full. We started off with some frozen mango margaritas. Great mango flavor, the drink was strong & I like that they added chunks of mango inside the drink. Then we ordered a half slab of ribs with steak fries as an appetizer. The ribs were tendered and fall off the bone, flavor wise it could've used some more salt. The steak fries were good and seasoned nicely. The complimentary rolls that were brought out were hot, fresh, soft, fluffy & just delicious. By far the freshest rolls I've had at Texas RH. For my main course I got the 12 ounce ribeye with corn & green beans. The steak came out medium which is perfectly fine with me as long as it's not medium well or well done. The steak was juicy, tender and had the right amount of seasoning. I added extra salt just because I like my steaks a little more salty. The corn was standard and peppery. Unfortunately the green beans were my least favorite. Not much flavor except from the bacon. It was just smoky but bland as well. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience. It's extremely busy so expect a wait. Parking can be challenging even though it has a lot of spots, there's so many businesses that share the lot. I figured this would be a great date with my 15 year old niece and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated promptly on a Thursday evening. It was a full house. We immediately received bread as we sat. Which was cool. My niece and I ordered combo appetizer: potato skins, twisted cheese and buffalo bites. They were all perfect. It was pretty packed and we waited about an hour Our server was nice and service was great. When we got seated, we were greeted with the famous cinnamon butter rolls and wow they were amazing. I'm really disappointed with my takeout experience. At 6:57 PM, I received a text saying my food was ready. I immediately replied that I had arrived and was parked in the designated curbside pickup spot. To make sure they knew I was there, I also called the restaurant. The employee who answered was very polite and confirmed she had seen my text. After waiting 25 minutes, I called back because no one had brought my order out. Five more minutes passed, so I finally went inside myself. My order had been sitting on the pickup shelves the entire time. The employee told me this has happened multiple times before. Apparently, orders are sometimes marked as "brought out" even though they're still sitting on the shelves, and because the restaurant gets so busy, no one notices. That's a serious issue that needs to be addressed. To their credit, they did try to make it right by giving me some peanuts/bread, and I appreciate the gesture. The employee I spoke with was genuinely kind and professional throughout the entire interaction. That said, waiting over 30 minutes after being notified that my order was ready is simply not acceptable. If you're going to offer curbside pickup, the system needs to work. Otherwise, customers shouldn't be told to wait outside for food that's already sitting on a shelf inside. read more

My wife's wasn't seasoned quite as well, and closer to medium. 2026 I had my birthday party there and it was awesome the seating was quick the waiter was awesome and the food was excellent our steaks were made with perfection. I've been in Katy forever and never once have I eaten at Texas Roadhouse so we decided to stop on in last Friday. It's located on a busy strip with lots of other restaurants but there's a big parking lot and I lucked up on a spot right out front. We were immediately seated with their famous hot & fresh rolls with the best honey cinnamon butter you'll ever taste! Our server even brought a fresh basket of rolls when she came to greet us. She offered great recommendations for their margaritas and appetizers. We ordered the sampler with boneless wings, fried pickles and twisted cheese. It was my daughter's first time having fried pickles and she loved them! Our son wanted a steak and to my surprise they had one on the kid's menu. I was eyeing the ribs but opted for the fried catfish. When I say they have the best green beans ever...I mean those green beans are soooo yummy! I almost forgot to snap a pic because the food was so good that we started eating everything right away. I think I'll add them into rotation because I went to that area for a different restaurant but I was so glad we changed to Texas Roadhouse. The again, were from California, so everywhere we go is a bit cheaper when it comes to expenses. The food was delicious and flavorful, presentation can be a bit nicer but I do believe this is a chain restaurant, so they're about quick service and turning tables. We had a table of 8 adults and 2 kids which can be a bit much and chaotic as our waiter had to take several orders in which there was a mistake made - my sister-in-law's meal was completely overlooked and never came out while everyone's meal came out. Other than that, our server corrected the mistake as soon as possible and there were no complaints thereafter. I would recommend getting on the wait-list as soon as possible as this place seems to get packed once doors open. I'm back again. This time to redeem my cactus blossom. And it was good. Not greasy at all. The only thing was when you grabbed them, you got all batter and rarely got onion. You can see from the pics that mostly of the onion remained. The southern fried chicken I ordered with mushrooms and jack cheese had gravy so I sent it back and it came back out without gravy. My wife was in the hospital for a week , but she's finally able to eat, this was her first choice after leaving my grandkids pizza party, so we saved the appetite, then brought my 30 year old son to eat, he was visiting for Jersey, and our 3 year old , I'm giving you all this detail because it was a busy night, my son worked as a waiter in college ten years ago, and I also worked at a restaurant as a teen, so to make it easy we order my 3 year old his hide chicken meal, so it would come out first, eat first, and make sure food wasn't to hot, then we wanted appetizers, so we order first so they don't bring it with the meal, so our waitress says, I will make sure to get it out first, so she took our meals order , well everything came out wrong, and in the worse order, first we got our meals, my steak was over cooked, I asked for medium rare, but I got more of a medium well, I don't send food back, so I ate it because I was starving, my son got mineral water instead of sprite, my 3 year old kid meal came after, good thing it was cold as it was seating out for a while, then appetizers come out last, our waitress apologized, she offered to make the steak over, but no way I was sending it back, we cancelled the appetizers, we had our meals already, our waitress said someone took ours, so for a Texas Roadhouse year over year, we visit San Antonio locations a lot, and south of Houston, never have we ever had such bad service, and food, we still tip 20% we hope things get better, but we assure you we will never be back to this location. We approached the manager that came to our table ( Sarah) told her about it , she apologized and that was it, there was no apologetic gesture from her end, we didn't expect anything better from this location, so we believe this issues start from the top, management, no quality control. The only reason I'm giving this place less than 5 stars is due to the cleanliness. As the hostess sat me, she didn't check the table, and I had to ask for it to be cleaned. Never once had a bad encounter at this roadhouse until today. Caitlyn, at the host, had attitude and yes I was aware it was busy but working in the industry that's not acceptable. Talked about "not caring" about what I had to say and even when exiting the restaurant, to her coworkers, repeated "that's her, that's her" most likely she was talking about me. We had the unfortunate experience of visiting Texas Roadhouse recently with our family of 11. We completely understood that seating all of us at one table might not be possible -- we were more than willing to split up. What we didn't expect, however, was to be seated at opposite ends of the restaurant, as far apart as humanly possible. We politely asked if there was any way to sit even remotely closer, especially since our grandparents (who arrived first) were already seated and had ordered. The service manager -- who, let's just say, had a uniquely memorable attitude -- was noticeably rude and made no effort to be accommodating. Instead, we were told that because food had already been ordered at that table, there was absolutely no way to adjust anything. So, we left. The situation was already disappointing, but it somehow got worse. Not long after, we received a call from our grandparents (who were still dining there) saying that a manager approached them and claimed that someone in our party had called the service manager a derogatory name -- which absolutely never happened. That level of unprofessionalism and unnecessary drama was honestly shocking. We ended up having a great time at another restaurant that actually values customer service and knows how to treat guests with basic respect. Texas Roadhouse, do better. Your food might be decent, but no meal is worth being treated like an inconvenience. read more
