Have not been to this place for many years at a different location. The burgers are absolutely incredible, flavorful and better than most. Staff is efficient and very customer service oriented. The small booths I thought were uncomfortable as I sat down and the table came up to my chest so I move to a regular table. Everything is set up perfectly and with the size of the burger matched with how great it was for a great price, makes this my number one go to place for burgers even a touch above becks prime. One thing though is the tables were wiped down but greasy a bit and felt a bit dirty as well. If tables were cleaned better with a new safe cleaner then this place is pushing a 5 for sure. Found this gem online to host a Super Bowl gathering. They confirmed my order on Thursday for Sunday pickup. The wait was maybe 5 mins and it was ready. My guests absolutely enjoyed the sliders and tenders. I still have sides left as it was way more than we could chew . Definitely going to try the brunch soon. read more

So I just always had a bad juju about this place. Recently, my Mom was raving about how delicious the breakfast is, so I decided to stop in. The menu has all your favorite comfort foods, including hamburgers, baked potatoes, sandwiches, a breakfast menu that is served until 11 AM, etc. I do wish they served coffee in actual ceramic cups, or maybe offered that option. I also wish they had an iced coffee option. My Belgian waffle combo was delicious. The eggs were obviously cooked to order, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. I'll be back again soon! Is 9er's the best food ever? No, but you will get good food at a good price. "Cheers" was the bar where "everyone knows your name". I wouldn't go to that extreme with 9er's, but it is a neighborhood eatery. It's a meeting place, an after church restaurant, a breakfast spot. The place shows a little wear and tear and probably needs a refurb, but it's still a comfortable place to eat comfort food. Watch for the specials. On my last visit, I had a couple of tasty, grilled catfish filets from the weekend special menu. Great seasoning on the fish and only $10. So as much as I enjoy the food here, I had a not so pleasant experience here this week and it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not run to eat there again unless I have no other options. My husband and I ordered a Philly cheesesteak, which is really good here. I have a food allergy and asked for no mayo. Well for the second time, it came swimming with mayo. They also didn't give us any fries. So come to discover, they forgot to charge us for the fries. Now instead of just giving ya some, once they fix our sandwich, they came to our table and asked for 2.80$ for the fries! Are you kidding me? Is that 2.80 going to break your bank? And this was after they messed up our food. Now I did bring this to the ladies attention and she said clearly this was their policy and couldn't wave the 2.80 for the fries even though they messed up our food. Now had I not been with friends, who by the way were eating already and done once our food came, I would of left. This place is still my favorite in all of the Houston area. I now live past San Antonio and I get to Houston about twice a month and we always grab family to go. In the last 5 years we have eaten there at least 100 times- can only remember once it being ok. The burgers are always our go to - moist, great meat, heat buns and super fresh/ crisp vegetables on the sandwhich. Another favorite is the Royal chicken sandwhich- the chicken always big, moist and it has grilled onions, mushroom and cheese. If you go Monday thru-Friday they have lunch specials. My son usually orders the great specials on the weekend like fajitas or chicken fried steak. Wish there was one closer to home near San Antonio. Read about this place for breakfast on the Katy Foodies Facebook page, so we stopped here this morning. We walked in around 9:30 this morning and it wasn't busy at all. You order at the counter similar to a fast food restaurant and then you pick up your food when your number is called. The lady at the counter was very friendly and made sure she had our order correct. I ordered the traditional omelet with ham, tomatoes, onions, and cheese, hash browns, a side of bacon and a biscuit. My husband ordered the chicken fries steak with over easy eggs, with potatoes and toast, and a side of extra gravy. It didn't take too long for our number to be called and my husband picked up the food from the counter, which arrived on plates that were served on cafeteria trays. The food looked good and we both commented how perfectly his eggs were cooked as well as my omelet. My side of bacon was cooked well to but was ice cold. The same with my hash browns. Cooked perfectly but ice cold. My husband cut into his chicken fried steak...boy was it overcooked. So bad that the breaking came off in big burnt chunks and the steak was so chewy. The gravy lacked any real flavor but was passable with more salt and pepper. The one thing that threw us both was that the toast had no butter and neither did my biscuit. Instead my biscuit was cooked on the plancha grill and tasted like a greasy flat top, and my husband's toast was barely toasted and served cold and plain. My husband went up to task for butter and was given two little cups of what appeared to be whipped butter. Overall, it was an okay breakfast. However for the price - $26 for the both of us (he also had a Coke and I had a glass of water) we would prefer to just go to Denny's and be waited on to eat mediocre food. We usually come here all the time because the food is always on point. Today is a different story. My girlfriend ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar salad. When we got our food she got a Chicken Tender Salad so she goes back to the lady that took the order and told her about the confusion. Then has the audacity to say "That's not what you said" Coming from business management you got to do what's right for the customer and make the experience memorable, not try to tell the customer they are wrong So she takes back the food and mins later brings out another dish that still isn't correct. It looks like they just grilled chicken and replaced it with the chicken tenders on top. Plus this salad had avocados, tomatoes, etc that a usual Caesar salad doesn't. She gives up and decides just to eat it anyway. I wish there was a way to do this with giving no stars ... This is an update to my review ... I had meant to do it when the incident happened, but I kept forgetting to do it. So upon my initial review, the owner of the place calls my relative and demands that she speak to me. Anyway, she calls me and I don't pick up. She leaves a voice mail asking I call her back. Why? She calls again ... Again I don't answer. She tells my relative that she's demanding that he bring me by to discuss my review, and give me a tour of the kitchen. Seriously? She told him that I need to change my review or delete it. So, I end up going so she leaves him alone. And, I wish I hadn't. In my opinion it was pointless .... Basically she's telling me that she can't believe I gave her such a terrible rating and that only my review is hurting her business. Never mind that there are other negative reviews about her business ... It was just mine that 'hurt' her. And why? Because my relative works there and she expected a better review? Lady, I will not give an establishment a great review if I did not like the service or food. Sorry ... She than tells me that I said her chicken fried steak was terrible ...... Ah, WHERE IN MY REVIEW IS THAT?????? As far as I knew I was doing my review soley on the chili fries, which the chili IS canned, the pie, and the onion rings .... As I had so clearly stated. I know the onion rings are not freshly made there and neither is the pie. The food is overpriced and the selection of food is still too overwhelming. I made my review out to be unbiased and played no favoritism what so ever. I based my review on MY experience there and what I observed, not from what my relative has or hasn't told me. A tour of the kitchen I didn't want or need. I didn't say anything bad about the kitchen. So I declined the offer. 'Touring' the kitchen won't make me revise my review ... You know, because again I didn't say anything bad about the kitchen. Other things were said, but it makes no sense to post them. She is very bad professionally and needs a course in management skills. But that's just my opinion. I did, however ... While I was there that day listening to her, have a chocolate shake. And, I'm sorry. It was terrible. Truly, truly terrible. I had a couple sips and that was it for me. I trashed it. You could taste no CHOCOLATE what so ever and .... did I mention that it tasted horrible. With that being said, I will not be back as a patron to this restaurant. The lack of professionalism from the owner left a sour taste in my mouth. The food that I did have, well ... If you read my review than I don't need to repeat it. Others may have had a better experience there and think the food is outstanding. That's great. But again, this is my experience. And according to yelp guidelines, a business owner asking consumers to post reviews is not allowed. I found that out after talking to someone about it. But, as long as my review was unbiased and pertained to my experience, which it did. It did not come off as being in favor or promoting a establishment in which my relative works for. Nor was I trying to be vindictive or malevolent in trying to 'destroy' someone's business. In my experience, when a consumer gives a negative comment, and it's a comment that others have said. I take from it and strive to make it better. I want my consumers to enjoy their time in my establishment and I'd want them to come back and bring others with them. Maybe that's just me :/ Oh and .... Just Ok... Huge menu, if you haven't been here before it may take you a few minutes to decide. You order off the menu located on the wall behind the cashier. They really should scale it down some and focus on improving the quality of the food on a smaller menu. When your order is ready they will call your number and you pick up your meal from the counter. It's a similar set up to Fuddruckers. I had the Philly cheesesteak, fries and an ice tea. It came to 9.73. The Philly was small, too small for the 10 dollar price tag. It tasted Ok, but wasn't' anything special. They give you plenty of steak fries, they were just Ok. No seasoning at all, basically what you would get from the grocery store. The Ice tea was good and the lemons were fresh. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking. I met the owner at the hospital just by chance one day and had always wanted to try it out. My dad had some dr appts in the area so I dropped him off and gabbed some grub. It's much like willies as you order then find a seat. But that's where the similarities stop. The quality of food is so much better. Their lunch menu is huge and well priced. The tables were clean, even during the lunch rush. I had the steak sandwich with fries and it was amazing. The bread was spongy enough to hold the juices, and the meat was tender. The fries were steak fries and cooked perfectly, a nice change from the usual fries. The bread on the po boy was ok, not New Orleans style, but fresh and passable. The shrimp were small, but cooked on point with a light beading and lots of them - loaded. Tomato and lettuce fresh.
