I've seen several reviews on Katie Foodies on this place so I yelped it and had no idea it was a hidden gem. So I went in for lunch and went with the TMG patty melt and crispy FFs. Food came in about 10 mins and I was not disappointed. It's pretty simple - big ol' thick patty, melted cheese and grilled onions. I took half home. Lots of options on the menu so next time will branch out. They do offer breakfast on Sat/Sun. read more

Wow is the best word to follow up on and OMG burger. Wow. I can say I drove past this restaurant on highway 90 for years and it wasn't until a "guys night" started there that I found what may be the best burger in Texas! We all sat outside on a picnic table and enjoyed a fresh cool evening but the inside seating looked nice too! read more

TMG Burger Grill is easily one of the best burger spots I've ever been to (for real for real)! It's that kind of hidden gem you randomly find and immediately know you'll be coming back. Attentive service. I ordered my cheeseburger medium and it was more of a medium rare. Burger was hot and greasy - greasy part is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe not so much in this case. Burger spots with the old-school diner aesthetic have the best food. TMG lives up to this saying. The classic diner aesthetic is nice, the ambiance is laid-back and comforting, the customer service is great, and the menu is full of great selections that make you want to keep coming back to try something new. My wife and I both ordered hamburgers and let me just say, they have this nailed. The French fries were on point, and the sweet tea met the mark. So why 4 and not 5 the onion rings, there were supersized and lacked flavor for me. Not a deal breaker, however, they were big and lacked flavor. This is my go to place for burgers in Katy. Great old fashioned burgers that are great tasting, fresh and big! Old school diner feel, and they have malts...not just shakes that are delicious. Friendly staff and the manager usually visits the tables. read more

My daughter and I stumbled upon this place today and wow! It was so delicious! The onion rings were cooked to perfection, the onion itself was not over cooked, it was al dente! And the batter was light and clean and crunchy! The burgers were extremely tasteful, a light flavorful mesquite beef....veggies were fresh and tasty, it was a good old fashioned burger! It is GREAT to see the reopening and the new name. There is NO place in Katy for an absolutely amazing delicious Hamburger. I just stopped and got an order of onion rings to go, absolutely amazing. It's sad when a business owner takes a business down, but it's great when someone else takes on the challenge and rebranding and recreating the best burger in the Country. Classic feel and ambiance from the former establishment that people knew and loved at this same location. Even saw some of the same staff. Food was great. Ordered the burger melt with queso fries. Very filling. Queso was not overwhelming and the fries weren't too salty. Cherry coke definitely tastes different on tap than it does in a 20oz plastic bottle. Family friendly and still maintains the outdoor patio seating. Staff came by regularly to check on me and even picked up my empty tray when I was done eating. Was able to watch SC vs Tennessee women's hoops while I dined. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back. read more

Theres a good makeover since the building was Wiiliburger which closed 18 months or so ago. The ambiance is 60s Diner . The place seemed clean but there was a very odd smell of industrial disinfectant! This was soon after opening time They have a selection similar to Willyburger except for the blue cheese burger is gone. We tried the base single patty cheeseburger and fries. The patty is tasty but a little too greasy 70/30? Fresh pickles lettuce tomato and diced onions served on what seemed a potato style bun The value was good as was the size. I would improve the quality of the American cheese as it seemed more like cheese wizz and i guess most of it was lost on the grill! read more

This is just Willie Burger under a new name. My wife had the fish tacos which she said were good. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. The cheese burger had no seasoning and the flavor came from the gristle which isn't very appetizing. The lettuce was placed on the bun still wet plus the grease from the burger didn't help. The onion rings could have been better because the coating was still a little undercooked. Not bad, but again, it's still Willie Burger just a different name. read more

I had high expectations for this place bc there are so many ratings. Very disappointed and I'm not sure that these reviews are legit. We took this to go, however these were eaten in the car within 3mins, and the food was picked up as soon as it became ready. First off, value. I know times are rough but paying $50 for a kids burger, 3 hamburgers (no combos), one large French fries and one side of onion rings, was excessive. Taste wise. The burgers were nothing speculative, the patty needed more seasoning, they don't put the mayo/mustard/ketchup in the burgers, you do it and they just give you a few of the condiments. The fries had Zero seasoning, which was a huge disappointment. They were super super soggy. The onion rings were the only thing that was actually good and better than most places. We will never come back for sure. Very overpriced, & lacks flavor. read more

I took the family to TMG this past Friday night, and wondered if it would be as good as the previous burger joint in this location (which was a huge favorite of ours). In my opinion TMG is every bit as good. I'm glad because I want a great go-to burger spot, and this location is still the one. Everyone at the table said it was just as good as they were hoping. Robin was our server and she did great. The problem was the cooks in the kitchen. They may need some more training. Well, 2 of us ordered breakfast and 2 of us ordered dinner. The dinner portions both gave 2 thumbs up. 2 breakfast people were not as happy. First thing , plates came out to tables one at a time. Pet peeve of mine. It throws people dining experience off. Whoever cooked the breakfast one came out to greasy and the other came out almost after we were all done. She had asked for a scrambled egg on the side of her French toast and if you look at the photo it was a fried egg chopped up and the French toast was soggy. Only the kitchen to blame for that one. Now the impressive part, they acknowledged it right away and told us it would be taken off the bill, no worries and also served us a complementary dessert for the trouble. Now , that's how a situation should be handled. Hands on managers and making it right. I will give them that. They care about the customers. Everything that was brought out by our table looked very good and saw a couple things brought back to the line. We were sitting right beside the pick up area. It is a very family friendly restaurant and it was very busy. So I'm not going to bash this restaurant or review because I feel if they know- they will work to fix any future problems in the kitchen area. I can only review our situation with hopes that it helps with training. Your line managers did a great job at rectifying the situation.

The pabellón or a filling with multiple ingredients is probably the way to go, unless if you want a lot of one kind of filling. Fried arepas is also better for holding the massive filling over grilled arepas. You get to choose. Shredded beef is better than the cubed beef that was in the arepa llanera which was a bit too chewy. Tequeburger is something new. It was good too, and heavy. I do not know if I would order this again and instead may just go for regular tequeños. It is an untraditional and creative novelty here, and for that reason it gets the attention and sells. Tequenos made into squarish shape instead of sticks are used in lieu of buns. Empanadas were perfectly crunchy on the outside and the filling was yummy, even the plain cheese.

The onion rings had a cake-like texture--soft and sweet--but I think they could improve the batter so they stay a little sweet while still getting that crisp bite. The steak fries were not fresh at all and were extremely salty to the point of being uneatable. We only ate about half of our burgers, and the rest had to be discarded. It felt like a waste, especially since the steak fries had to be thrown out too. A few of my coworkers didn't enjoy their burgers either.
