    TMG patty melt n FFs
    Todd R.

I've seen several reviews on Katie Foodies on this place so I yelped it and had no idea it was a hidden gem. So I went in for lunch and went with the TMG patty melt and crispy FFs. Food came in about 10 mins and I was not disappointed. It's pretty simple - big ol' thick patty, melted cheese and grilled onions. I took half home. Lots of options on the menu so next time will branch out. They do offer breakfast on Sat/Sun.

Wow is the best word to follow up on and OMG burger. Wow. I can say I drove past this restaurant on highway 90 for years and it wasn't until a "guys night" started there that I found what may be the best burger in Texas! We all sat outside on a picnic table and enjoyed a fresh cool evening but the inside seating looked nice too!

TMG Burger Grill is easily one of the best burger spots I've ever been to (for real for real)! It's that kind of hidden gem you randomly find and immediately know you'll be coming back. The burgers literally melt in your mouth...so juicy, flavorful, and just downright delicious! The whole place has a cozy, mom-and-pop diner vibe and I love the classic diner decor. Soooo glad we stopped by! This is officially my go to burger spot and it's very close by! If you haven't been yet, you're seriously missing out.

KATY, TX 77494 / BURGERS, AMERICAN / 12-18-23 / DINNER +The in-house ground beef was delicious; not too salty. +The toppings were fresh. +The burgers, hot dogs, and fries were cooked well. +The outside seating with murals and painted pavement is a nice touch. +The customer service was good. I'm not sure how I feel about the funnel cake battered onion rings. It wasn't greasy at all and had a nice crunch to it, but not sure I like this take on breading. What we ordered: 2 kid's hotdogs $13.98 1 hamburger $7.99 w/onion ring combo $5.44 1 cheeseburger w/American cheese $8.99 Total: $39.40

Attentive service. I ordered my cheeseburger medium and it was more of a medium rare. Burger was hot and greasy - greasy part is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe not so much in this case. Patty could have been seasoned a little more. Veggies were fresh. Not crazy about the almost shoestring fries. Will give them another try though

Burger spots with the old-school diner aesthetic have the best food. TMG lives up to this saying. The classic diner aesthetic is nice, the ambiance is laid-back and comforting, the customer service is great, and the menu is full of great selections that make you want to keep coming back to try something new. I've gone to TMG during the peak lunch rush, and although it's busy, I've gotten my order within five minutes of ordering. Mom and Pop joints like this never disappoint with great food. If you're in the Katy area, give TMG a try. They also serve homemade breakfast.

Classic cheeseburger, no bun with sweet potato fries! DELICIOUS!

We finally stopped in to TMG! I opted for a classic cheeseburger, no bun and added bacon and avocado. My burger was so flavorful that I did not even miss the buns on it! The side of sweet potato fries was plentiful and delicious! We will be returning!

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

While we completely understand wanting to protect expensive furniture, the tone and delivery came across as rude and made our entire table feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On the other hand, I want to recognize our waiter, who was excellent throughout the meal. Raymond was attentive, friendly, and did his best to make us feel comfortable again after the interaction with the manager. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food also fell short of expectations. In particular, I would not recommend the mussels. The flavor was unpleasant and left a very bad aftertaste, making them one of the least enjoyable dishes we ordered. Good customer service isn't just about enforcing rules--it's about how those rules are communicated. Unfortunately, the manager's approach, combined with the disappointing food, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office.

Table of 4, waiter addressed us after about 10 minutes, got obviously upset when he figured out we weren't drinking alcohol, treated us poorly the entire rest of the visit (when he actually deigned to stop by). Ordered "hand battered" pickles, which is a lie, these came directly out of the freezer, had absolutely no flavor at all, and were not served with the dressing specified on the menu. He literally dropped them and ran. I had to go the service counter to get us napkins so we could try the food, and we had to flag him down to ask for the accompaniment. When confronted, he literally said "it doesn't come with anything", we replied that the menu said it did, and he insisted that he was correct. So, he was asked for ranch dressing (which is what the menu states was supposed to be served with it), and he stated, "oh, we don't have any of that, we've been out for weeks". REALLY? He just decided he didn't like us, so he treated us like crap. Burger ordered, listed on menu as 1/2 lb., might have been 5 ounces maximum and had no flavor at all. All of just picked at our food, because it was all just sad. In addition, meals that came with fries had the fries served almost 10 minutes after the meals. Saving grace, they were hot and well seasoned, so we finally had something we could all share to eat, but had to fight to get ketchup for those that wanted it. Would most definitely NOT recommend for any reason at all.
