We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Gauchos, and what an incredible experience it turned out to be! While the salad bar was fresh and plentiful and the steaks varied (some absolutely outstanding), what truly stood out was the exceptional service. I genuinely can't stop thinking about it! From the moment we sat down, everything was seamless and the bread appeared on our table instantly, and when we stepped away for just a minute to check out the salad bar, our iced teas were already waiting when we returned. The servers were so attentive that our drinks were constantly refilled and the meats kept coming without us ever having to ask. Every detail was handled so quickly and efficiently, it felt effortless. Truly impressed by the staff! The restaurant is only about 10 minutes away, which makes it even better AND we can't wait to return and bring our family next time. Chama Gaucha used to be our go-to, but honestly, this place checks all the boxes especially the short distance. The dessert was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was simply exceptional.

I really wanted to love Gauchos Do Sol and while the service was absolutely stellar, we were waited on hand and foot, the food just didn't match up. The Brazilian lemonade was AMAZING, but the meats were a big letdown. Out of all the many options,, only two meats stood out as good, while the rest, including the lamb chops, lacked flavor. It honestly felt like I was eating air food. The salad bar was just a little better, but still nothing to rave about. With this price point, I truly expected more. Unfortunately, I'm 100% sure I won't be back.

Go hungry! I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner here with some friends. Once the green card is up and the salad bar has been visited the food is non stop. I felt like people were coming from every direction every minute with new food to try. The meat is delicious, seasoned and prepared well. My favorites were the grilled pineapple, the salad bar options and the lamb chops. I didn't get to try the shrimp but it looked delicious. When you're full or just need a break flip your card from green to red. They have an extensive wine menu. A variety of cocktails and appetite options Plenty of parking options, great location with friendly and efficient staff.

Everything was perfect. I wish I could give them 6 stars. All the usual meat suspects, perfectly prepared and presented. They even have fire roasted pineapple and bacon wrapped Scallops. Excellent first course bar. The lobster bisque was excellent. Many such Brazilian places seem to have skinned down their fare but not this one. Their wine and cocktail selection is great. 5 star restaurant service. Everyone was so sweet. Waiters even pulled out chairs to help seat their guests. Super attentive service. Robber baron level. We felt extremely well treated.

I really enjoy the experience of all the meat that comes around and getting to choose multiple different cuts. The service is top notch- very friendly and attentive! They want you to make sure you get what you want. The ambiance is more upscale, warm, and inviting. The salad and sides bar is nice with a lot of options, the cheese rolls are warm and delicious, and the meats are amazing!

Gauchos had been on our list of must try restaurants so we were very excited about our visit. The place is beautiful and our reservation time was perfect as there was still not a lot of people inside dining or waiting. We very seated immediately. We had the worst service. Our server was not friendly and rather dry but the worst part, he would forget absolutely everything. We had to continuously flag him down and ask for things multiple times. I asked twice for my coke zero after our table had received cocktails. They bring cheese bread which was delicious and we had to ask four times for a second basket, I repeat four times because our server would simply not bring it. We had to ask other servers for things such as new plates, beverages and of course the cheese bread. We love a great steak and found this was not the right place for good quality and great tasting steak. The meats were not flavorful and surprisingly not as many options as we were expecting. The medium cuts were overcooked. The salad bar was okay but not as many options as other places with salad bars. What I enjoyed the most here we're items from the salad bar such as the blue cheese and lobster bisque. Pretty pricey dinner for blue cheese and lobster bisque. If you just want to stuff yourself with all you can eat meat this is your place, the price will be worth it. If you care about the quality and taste of your meat, for the price there are plenty of steakhouses in Houston. The service could have helped our experience a little but we did not even enjoy that. We won't be returning.

Me and wife had to try this establishment. The outside of the restaurant is amazing but once you enter it decorated beautifully. We were sat out table it was a little dark but the ambience was great. The waiting staff was excellent, our guy was on it and many others also. The salad spread was amazing lots of great foods to choose from but don't eat too much roughages, leave room some protein. I didn't have to flip my indicator for meat they swarmed us with delicious meats. I really enjoyed the ribeye and picanha steak . We left there full! A little pricey but worth it. The only hiccup I had, was the waiter asked if I wanted desserts but was too full. Instead I asked for a coffee to settle the meat. I had already paid my bill and was charged for the coffee. Come on folks, you guys can't be this stingy. Anyways will definitely return to this establishment. You can figure roughly $100 per person.

This was my first time coming to this Brazilian steakhouse, and my friends and I came to try the HRW menu. The salad bar was great and the meats were all so delicious. But my favorite part was the dessert! Thankfully there were 3 of us so we tried each of them and I cannot even tell you which one was my favorite because they all were spectacular. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

A perfect place to celebrate!!!! We just finished celebrating my daughter 18th Birthday here and I must say I made the best decision picking this beautiful place for this special occasion. The restaurant accommodated a private room for our party of 18. The host walked us into the room, and we were met by our energetic, friendly waiter Marvin and manager Omar. Both Marvin and manager Omar went above and beyond to make sure everyone receives exceptional service. We were all very satisfied with the quality of our drinks, salad bar and best of all flavorful meats. Thank you Gauchos Do Sul (Katy Location) for making this beautiful evening extra special for our family and friends.

Lamb chops took a bit to get here but great in taste

Great food pretty good service and great vibe along with friendly staff who were very helpful

First time this location. Definitely make reservations. Food was good. Salad bar was ok but other Brazilian places have better. Full experience price is higher than all the others but they are the only place in Katy for now. Been to the other location twice. Liked that a bit better.

Several kinds of steak cuts, along with sausage, lamb, chicken, and shrimp. Other sides that are passed include mashed potatoes, bananas, and cheese puffs. Before moving to the buffet, I enjoy a cup of lobster bisque soup. Delicious! Once we're were full, I asked for the pineapples. Here they are available but are a'la 'carte. They were so good and juicy! The touch of cinnamon just set it off. After this, we shared Tres' Leche' cake for dessert. Delicious and rich!!! If you're lactose...don't do it! Note: The pineapple was sweet enough for dessert, and it helps digest the meat. Maybe not a weekly experience at $70 per person, but I can experience it quarterly maybe. Definitely a repeat spot.

By the way, the manager was very friendly. He came to check on us multiple times. I came during lunch for the express lunch and the menu specifically states that you can get 6 ounces of meat and unlimited trips to the salad and hot bar. Our waiter told us that we could only go to the bar once which is not what the menu states. I just went along with it and only went to the bar once but it definitely would've been nice to go one or two more times to get some things that I did like.. Also, the waiters demeanor towards us was just very watchful, and it was a bit strange. But I enjoyed the food here. The ambience is really cute and the food was good. I got the picanha and it was cooked well and goes well with the sauces that they offer.

From the beginning, service was extremely slow and inattentive. It took about 15 minutes just to get our first glasses of iced tea ordered. Throughout the meal, we were only offered four of the many meats that are supposed to be available. Of those four, two of them -- the filet and garlic picanha -- were so fatty we could barely cut through them, much less enjoy them. The service continued to decline as the evening went on. We went approximately 20 minutes without water. We asked one waiter for water, and about five minutes later, we watched him pour water for every table around us until he ran out -- but he never returned to our table. Another waiter stopped by, and we again explained that we needed water. He walked away and went to get a dessert menu for another table instead. At that point, my husband had to get up and find a pitcher so we could fill our water ourselves. We expressed our concerns to the waiter during the meal, but nothing was done to improve the experience. When we raised the issue further, we were told he was unable to "do anything about the bill," which was disappointing considering the level of service and overall experience we had received. When it was time to leave, we waited another 10 minutes just to receive our check and then another 5 minutes for it to be picked up. My husband also let the staff know upon arrival that we were celebrating my birthday. I was under the impression that Texas de Brazil did something special for birthdays or anniversaries, but nothing was acknowledged or done. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for a birthday dinner and our first visit. Between the lack of service, limited meat selection, poor quality of what was served, lack of acknowledgment for the occasion, and unwillingness to address our concerns, we left extremely disappointed and would not be eager to return.

We've…read moretried many of them around Houston -- and honestly, Avenida stands out as the best when it comes to meat quality and variety of cuts, especially compared to other well-known Brazilian steakhouses in the same price range like Fogo de Chão and Gauchos Do Sul. Besides the typical cuts like picanha, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, and lamb chops, Avenida also offers Wagyu steak, ribeye, NY strip, salmon, shrimp, and even lobster soup. I prefer my steaks medium rare, and the meat was incredibly tender. My favorites were the top sirloin, lamb chops, and filet mignon. The service was phenomenal. They don't play the usual games that many Brazilian steakhouses do by bringing out the cheaper cuts first to fill you up. Instead, they consistently walk around serving a wide variety of meats throughout the meal, which really elevated the experience. Honestly, the only thing holding this restaurant back is the interior design and exterior appearance. I can barely notice the restaurant while driving by because the outside signage and overall presentation don't stand out. Meanwhile, Fogo de Chão (in Katy for example) catches attention immediately because the building and interior feel upscale and polished. Avenida seriously has better meat quality in my opinion, but the restaurant could benefit greatly from renovating the interior, improving the lighting, and creating a more modern and inviting romantic vibe. The food and service deserve a much busier crowd.

There was a live guitarist/singer playing which was a fantastic vibe. A complimentary basket of four pieces of cheese bread was brought out, excellent way to start the meal! For two people, we ordered: 2x Coxinha (3.5/5): While the chicken is a tad dry, it's complimented well by the creamy sauce 1x Kibe (3/5): Reminded me of a meatball crossed with a falafel, like something you'd order on a skewer. Not too grainy and a nice smoky flavor. 1x Risole de Camarao (4.5/5): I thought this was a better version of the Coxinha. The shrimp flavor really permeates and reminds you of a shrimp risotto in a single bite. Churrasco Gaucho (16oz) (2/5): We decided to get this to sample all of the meats. Unfortunately I thought everything was really salty. Maybe it's characteristic of the Brazilian grilling style, because the smoky flavors did come through, but it just felt too salty for me on everything. Honestly maybe it just needed some kind of vegetable besides beans to help offset. Whatever their chili sauce is (5/5): I have no idea what this is but it reminds me of mashed up bird eye chili sauce..it's really good. Sprinkle it on everything. Helps with the saltiness of things. Also the quality is not there anymore in the meats along with the stale cheese bread and crispy polenta. We were offered a complimentary dessert that we ended up paying for which was fine since we wanted dessert anyway. Ordered the tres leches and that alone was a 2/10. If you're used to Mexican tres leches do not get this. It's more sweeter, and the cake is more grainy.
