This is a soft opening, a lovely full bar
    Thomas K.

On the back of all the servers T-shirts is the phrase "soft opening"... if they can maintain the level of service and food we received last night I'd like their soft opening phase to remain forever. This is a lovely little dining establishment and I would note little because even though they are officially not open, the restaurant filled up a great deal yesterday evening. At no point did that compromise either the service or the quality of food however it is a note to those who are reading and wondering about whether they should visit the restaurant earlier rather than later as I would imagine it will fill up quite quickly. And why will it fill up is the question? ....and the answer is that it is truly Spanish food it is not fusion. It is real Spanish food cooked quite well by a chef who obviously has cooked Spanish food for quite some time. We started with the vary, very lightly fried croquettes, both ham and cheese, and frankly both were incredibly good perfectly cooked to a light golden brown with a very lite shell over them. You really could not have asked for anything better. Although there's a full bar, we elected to drink Spanish wine I do not recollect the label however it was an organic Spanish wine and a perfect compliment to the meal. Typical to Spanish wine it is a blend however, this was a very smooth finish. We accompanied the croquettes with crystal bread and frankly, I should have waited until my Pulpo. But I'll get to that in a moment. We parted ways for the entrée one of us had paella which was very well done, not as heavily seasoned, as I am accustomed to, but served with an abundance of seafood. It is a meal that can clearly be shared since the serving is large. It was, however, simply wonderful.. I told you I had the pulpo and for those of you who read what I write, you know it's amongst my favorite dishes and this I must tell you was cooked to absolute perfection at no time did I require a knife... a fork was more than adequate and it was just wonderfully cooked very lightly seasoned by something I could not identify. The chef made his appearance several times during the meal and he's an absolute delight and very, very informative about the procedures he uses to accomplish what is really an artists canvas.. The ambience is wonderful on this particular evening. Paco de Lucia was playing steel guitar on a TV screen and for those of you who enjoy steel guitar you already know the quality of music. The service was absolutely outstanding and the food was magnificent. Don't miss this opportunity..

We had a great meal here. We so rarely get Spanish restaurants here and it was a great surprise to have one in Katy. The atmosphere is beautiful, the menu is small but well done. My kids loved the seafood pallea, croquettes and patatas bravas. My kids even ate the muscles and squid! The service was attentive and we will be back to try some other dishes. Don't let the small menu deter you. Go check them out!

If you're looking for an unforgettable Spanish dining experience in Brenham, you need to check out this gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of authentic charm, making it the perfect place for both a cozy dinner and a lively night out. The staff were attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about providing top-notch service. Now, let's talk about the food: ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!!! The patatas bravas were crispy, golden perfection paired with an incredible aioli cream that elevates every piece; they were pure bliss. But honestly, the fideuà stole the show for me, rich, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor in every bite. And the croquetas are light, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. Each morsel melts in your mouth, reminding you why Spanish cuisine is so beloved worldwide. Every dish is crafted with care and attention, making it clear this restaurant takes pride in delivering high-quality, authentic Spanish food. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I can't recommend it enough! Five stars for fantastic food, impeccable service, and a wonderful ambience.

This is by far the best Spanish food I've had! The appetizers, entrees and deserts were all amazing. The service was also great, the owner even came and explained each dish. This place is a must.

I pulled forward to place my order and there was a human! A very courteous and knowledgeable young man there to help answer all my questions and make recommendations. I mentioned it was my first time so it would take me a bit of time to he said no problem and started walking me through the menu and recommending options based on my answers to his questions. I settled on the double bacon burger with avocados and tater tots with barbecue sauce for dipping and a flavored lemonade. He offered to add a jaggers sauce and explained with the expertise of a trained sommelier the ingredients and flavor profile of said sauce. True to his word, it was indeed smokey with a hint of pepper. The line moved quickly, payment was easy, and I was on my way. The burger was juicy and had all the right proportions for the condiments. I checked and it had mayonnaise and mustard, but it was still a bit bland. In hindsight, I should have added some of the jaggers sauce, but I didn't want the sauce to overpower the avocado and bacon flavors. Tots were good and seasoned. The drink was about 1/3 beverage and 2/3 ice so I made a mental note to ask for light ice next time. Overall, great meal with lots of options to try later. Excellent customer service and a great first impression. This was a car in the driveway after a long day meal so unfortunately, I didn't take pictures.

I was very concerned with the cross contamination that occurred one visit, it had never happened before and I was shocked. The staff at this location know my face at this point and automatically keep my salad away from meat (I'm vegan and have allergies) but that day it was a different staff. I explained to one member but he did not relay it to the next one which created cross contamination. I left without my salad that day. I emailed corporate and they immediately responded. The manager and owner both reached out to me within 24 hours. They invited me to come back for a free salad and even when I got there to get the salad, they offered me cookies, drinks, anything else. I did not take it because I just simply wanted the salad that I had originally ordered, but the sentiment was really nice. The manager came and spoke with me and apologized. She explained that she had run the cameras back, so exactly what happened and was in shock. She knew that that was not the normal protocol, and she said that that staff member was retrained. I really appreciated the attention to detail and want to make it right. This will continue to be my fav Salata location. They have definitely won a lifer out of me. Thank you guys again.

There is a dine in option however the place is relatively small and they have quite a busy "To Go" service so it is akin the having a meal along a busy sidewalk. Please don't misunderstand, if your option is to consume your meal in a facility or in your car it is likely more convenient but that ends the contrast. Because it is o "To Go" oriented for instance if you order gumbo (which I did) you will be given a small plastic spoon and salad (which I ordered) will be segregated (Like olives grouped together, feta grouped etc. ) in a container "To Go" container making it impossible to 'toss' without making a mess or using your hands. Let's address food which I have mentioned. Gumbo is akin to a Manhattan style fish chowder, not objectionable however not gumbo. The Greek Salad I gave already described with the addition of the fact that my dressing had solidified. When I pointed it out to the folks taking orders it was replaced however in this respect I'm glad I ate in...without a microwave it would not have liquified. Look, I am not an idealist, This is a sandwich "To Go" place I don't fault the owners at trying to make every square inch of a rental place earn money however the 'dine in' option is a convenience not an ambience. The 'gumbo' was not and the salad was a generous portion of lettuce, fresh vegetables, adequate feta however the initial dressing and the serving container for 'eat in' was disappointing. Next time I will order a sandwich which is a Deli goal.
