We recently took a group of 30 out to Fogo's to celebrate and grow our community. Our conference ran long and they kindly allowed us to shift our reservation out another half an hour. We had two young gentlemen serving us and they had a great system to make sure everyone was taken care of. I really only have two critiques about our whole stay. The ambiance in the little room which was still open to the rest of the restaurant, but separate, was quiet enough to hear conversation, which is a HUGE perk for me, that's a quality I look for in a restaurant. The salad buffet was incredible! I always fill up there when I go to places like that and it just kept going! The only thing I missed was boiled quail eggs which I used to get at a different churrasco chain back in my hometown. I got passion fruit juice as a drink, it was great that they were able to accommodate that request for me, I was very happy. I also ordered the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection, flakey, with a beautiful, crust. The only thing it was lacking is salt. The fresh little salsa was beautiful and bright. Overall it was a great experience and we are planning to come back with a big group in September because it was such a pleasant experience! My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Pat during our visit on June 20,2026, and she truly made our experience unforgettable! She prepared caipirinhas for our family, and not only were they absolutely delicious, but she also made the entire process fun and engaging. Ms. Pat was incredibly patient, kind and welcoming. At the recommendation of Catalina, who told us that Ms. Pat makes the best drinks, we decided to give the Caipirinhas a try, and she was absolutely right! Ms. Pat took the time to walk us through each step of how the drink was made, making the experience both memorable and enjoyable. Her beautiful spirit, wonderful sense of humor and genuine hospitality added so much to our dining experience. She was truly one of the highlights of our visit. While I rarely ever write negative reviews this one might be one of those. We thoroughly enjoy our experience and service at Chama Gaucha however, it fell a little flat here. The steaks were cold, 3-4 servers would come to our table once it felt like everything was moving way too fast. The salad selection was excellent. Our main server was nice. However, before sitting down, I approached the hostess and specifically told her we were here to celebrate my hubby's promotion and that I wanted a dessert out at the end saying congratulations that we would happily pay for and I wanted it to be a surprise for him and that never happened. This is the first time that has happened. At every anniversary, birthday, or any milestone when I've done that in the past at any restaurant it always comes out when the food is done and I was hoping it would, however as soon as the waiter showed us their dessert menu I knew that would not happen. We all enjoyed the salad bar more than the steaks itself. Ambience was very nice though. Our table servers were good, except just slow down a little. Also, my hubby requested filet mignon, which came much later after asking about it 3 times. It's okay! I've been to the other location 6+ years back and the food and service there used to be phenomenal. I wanted to bring a few guests here, but I don't think I will. I never thought a Brazilian Steakhouse would be a great place for vegetarians and pescatarians but I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered their Market Table & Feijoada Bar menu option. It's an all-you-can-eat salad bar featuring a variety of seasonal salads, fresh fruits like pink and yellow pineapple, papaya, kiwi, and nutritious vegetables such as asparagus, sweet potatoes, palm hearts, jicama, beets, legumes like kidney beans, lima beans, chickpeas, and cheese like Swiss, burrata, and gouda. The menu also features a delicious lentil soup. Surprisingly, side dishes such as mashed potatoes, yuca fries, grilled white cheese, and sweet plantains are included and served to the table by the server. And the complimentary basket of Pao de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread, can be so addictive! The entire staff at this steakhouse was so attentive, especially the super friendly ladies! I had a delightful experience and will definitely be returning. I have a strong appreciation for Brazilian steakhouses and Fogo de Chao has been one of my favorites for several years. The Katy location is relatively new and I finally made my first visit. The restaurant has a very large parking lot but many spaces were taken and reserved for valet parking. It really isn't necessary but a nice touch. This location was remodeled from a country decor bbq restaurant and the transformation is remarkable. The service was great, very attentive staff floating in and out. The occasion was a special champagne meal with multi course offerings. The two steak options were well seasoned and pleasing to taste however the lump crab was a solid five stars. There was a choice of three champagnes which you select any two as part of the meal. I'm very happy to have the new location within a twenty minute drive and look forward to more specialty dining options. read more

The fillet minion was tasteless. The bacon wrapped chicken was dry. I had to use blue cheese to add flavor to the meats to be able to eat it. I sadly will not give this place a 2nd chance. read more

My twin sister and I came to Fogo de Chão to celebrate our birthday with our family of five, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The first 30 minutes were great, but after our section became less busy, it felt like our table no longer existed. I even asked for the lamb chomps and they never came around again.Our server hardly checked on us, and we waited an unreasonable amount of time just to get someone's attention after our table had already been cleared. We eventually had to ask the manager for our check because no one came by. I am grateful we received one complimentary slice of dessert for my sister and I to share, but after that, we were left waiting again. When our server finally brought the check, they quickly dropped it off and walked away before we even had a chance to ask about splitting the check or the birthday reward I had. For a restaurant where we spent around $80 per person for a family of five, we expected much better service. The food was good, but the lack of attention at the end completely changed the experience. It was especially disappointing for a birthday celebration and the few times our family can make time together due to our busy schedules. I understand other busier sections could need more attention, but this was completely disrespectful. Not worth the price. read more

We went opening night. Service was stellar A+. I genuinely felt like every employee was excited we came and couldn't wait to help serve us a delightful evening! We've been to the Westheimer location a few times years ago, so excited to have one closer. Love that they have a rewards system now! If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, you're in for a treat. You literally get to sit at your table and they bring dinner to you. You have choices of chicken, pork, shrimp, and tons of beef cuts. When they come to your table, they have them cooked Well, medium well, medium... if you really like something and haven't seen it in a few minutes, you can ask the server and they will get someone to come around with it. Complementary on the table they bring mashed potatoes and fried polenta and plantains. Then you get a chimichurri steak topping as well. if you're not sure what drink to pair with it, I would suggest the Caipirinha - it's a Brazilian Cachaça drink that is delightful and fresh. Definitely should order the table side experience. It was awesome. If you're not a complete carnivore, they do have a cold bar that has different salads, olives, fruits, and other cold hors d'oeuvres. They also have a little soup area that rotates the different kinds of soup that are in there. However, if you are carnivore, don't fill up at this station. Because once you flip your car to green, the meats start coming and they don't stop. This is an easy to get to location, they do take reservations, they're great for date night special occasions, or even small parties. read more

We decided to try out this new location for date night. The location is nice and they have free parking and complimentary valet parking. The dress code was more relaxed than I expected, so need to wear your Sunday's Best. We had the Surf & Turf dinner special. The lobster was good but small. When you order the special the selection of meats is limited. Our server was nice but it took a while for them to come by with the meat selection. Eventually the service picked up and they came around more frequently. Overall it was a good experience aside from the waiting on the meat. read more

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We love Brazilian steakhouses and had high expectations because of the great experience we've had a Gauchos down the street. We made a reservation and was seated upon arriving. The atmosphere is light, great decor, plushy velvet couches for one side of the booths, I loved the light fixtures, the overall vibe seemed like trendy fine dining. The Brazilian cheesey puff things were tough and cold. The market table, which is their salad bar, was narrow, crowded and COLD. Everything on that bar, whether it was meant to be cold or not was cold. The only saving grace for that market table was the tomato soup, which unfortunately was the best thing we ate there. The meats finally came around (3 total within the first 30 minutes of being there) were dry, extremely overcooked and basically inedible. My husband called it beef jerky. I have attached pictures. The hot sides served were mashed potatoes, which were stone cold, and the little fried jicama and plantains. I finally asked for a manager and was told there was a customer service rep assigned to our area of the restaurant and so I told her our complaints. They then brought out more beef that was almost undercooked but I was happy to at least have something closer to medium rare. We never saw pork or chicken come out at all although I hear they do have it. They gave us a fre me dessert for our anniversary which was a chocolate molten cake which I will say was delicious and one of the only hot things we ate all night. They did apologize and offer us a slight discount for our meal but we still paid $100 for a terrible meal on our anniversary. I won't be back. TLDR; GO TO GAUCHOS! read more

Date night with my hubby at Fogo is our favorite outing. Here's a little secret: you don't have to go for the buffet. They have a hidden à la carte menu available at the bar. Our favorite dish is the beef bone. We usually order two bones, lamb chops, and a few other special items from the menu. Our bill with drinks is usually around $86. Try the Mango Habenero cocktail! Our dining experience at Fogo de Chao was very disappointing. First, we waited for 20 minutes after being seated without even receiving appetizers. It wasn't until the manager noticed our empty table that anything was brought out. We had a one-year-old baby with us, and before being seated I specifically asked if they could prepare beef without salt or black pepper. The answer was yes. As soon as we sat down, I ordered this special piece of meat for the baby, but after waiting for an entire hour it never arrived -- not even by the time we finished our meal. The service throughout was slow and inattentive. As for the food, the value is extremely poor: $63 per person with very limited meat options. The salad bar had hardly anything worthwhile, and there were no grilled shrimp or lamb chops. The quality of the meat was also disappointing -- some cuts were overly salty, while others were completely bland. The bacon-wrapped chicken and bacon-wrapped steak were especially terrible: the outside was unbearably salty, while the meat inside was dry and tough. The only decent item was the grilled lamb, but it only came around once at the very end of our meal. Overall, compared to Texas de Brazil, the difference is night and day. The value for money here is extremely low, and I would not recommend this restaurant at all. read more

Bottom line up front: Disappointing service by indifferent employees serving food I wanted intermittently at best. Overall, a waste of time and money. My wife and I had New Year's Eve dinner here and our experience was less than ideal. This visit so irritated me; I waited to review this location because I didn't want to write in anger as that would be unfair. Having eaten at other Fogo de Chão locations and on numerous occasions this was the one with the most room and need for improvement. Valet parking is available and self-parking is limited. Bathroom was not spotless, but it was cleaner than expected given the number of people. As usual, for Fogo de Chão, the salad bar and wine were quite good. Service ... Though we were in the middle of the restaurant, it was almost impossible to get the attention of the passadores, our waitress or other staff members. They all seemed well practiced at the "thousand-yard stare" so as not to make contact with the customers. Our waitress took our drink order and then went AWOL. We asked numerous times for passadores with beef or lamb to come by but seemed constantly visited by the gents with chicken and sausage. In the meantime, the two round tables in front of us had a steady stream of red meat skewers visiting their tables. Within 30-40 minutes our drinks arrived, however, that was after we had to ask four different staff members to check on them. The night pretty much went on like that. Between the Westheimer location, San Diego, San Jose and the Texas de Brazil in Memorial City, this experience was at best, a disappointment. read more

I visited Fogo de Chão in Katy, Texas, and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a Brazilian steakhouse. Honestly, they shouldn't even call themselves one. I sat at my table for over 10 minutes and not a single piece of meat was served. When I asked, I was told that everyone must first get food from the salad bar before being served meat. By the time I called the waiter and decided to just pay for my drinks and leave, my food was already cold -- and still, no meat. Watching the servers, I noticed each skewer only had one or two pieces, which says a lot about the lack of abundance and authenticity. On a positive note, I went right after to Gauchos, less than a mile away -- and what a difference! Outstanding service, excellent food, and truly Brazilian hospitality. We've been to the Westheimer location before, and we are excited to have a location so close to home. All the service was excellent. Everyone was warm, kind, and helpful. The Market Bar and meats are the star of the show. My husband especially loved the filet mignon. They went out of their way to find some for him, since they had a busy Saturday night. They made some just for him. He was happy. I got the cold lobster claws, lobster, and shrimp--Wow! It was perfectly prepared and slid out of the shells. What a great Sunday afternoon experience. Fogo is an outstanding restaurant. The food superbly made. This is my fourth time at this particular restaurant. My waitresses name was Alexandra. She was outstanding wonderful character very alternative always cleaning up the table. Just a fantastic human being. If you're thinking about trying this restaurant, it's old Brazilian style food. Received a gift card to Fogo a few months ago. On this past Sunday, I decided to give them a try. First, I tried to order online for the to-go menu, but after trying to place the order, it says unable to process gift card for online orders. So I decided to go to a restaurant and place an order. Our waitress was nice but rarely checked on us. When we were ready for the check, we waited around for 20 minutes until someone else finally came over--maybe a shift change? Either way, a quick heads-up would've gone a long way. Also, the salad bar area felt really cramped, and a lot of the hot items were just warm--not in a fresh, appetizing way either. The churrasco offerings were all delicious, but the filet mignon was particularly memorable. We also indulged in the Wagyu beef, and it was spectacular.
