I think I had high expectations because of all and overall good reviews but it was a bit of a let down. I was debating between a 3 and 4 and decided to give it a 3 because the main highlight of a steakhouse are the meats which did not impress me. I got the full churrasco dinner and I did feel like there were that many meat options compared to others in the Houston area and a lot of the ones that did come out were bland and lacked flavor. My least favorite was the ribeye which tasted tough and "off". The sirloins were overall good though. And it took a while for them to come by despite not being busy. Surprisingly there's a lot of parking and seats; it was not busy whenever I go so you can probably just walk-in or make a reservation. The inside is very nicely decorated and I think very picture-worthy. Service is good overall; the waiters and waitresses were all very welcoming, answered any questions, and attentive. Salad bar itself is overall good; lots of options and I became a fan of their sweet potato hummus - went up twice. Lacking in soups. Cheese bread varies a lot: sometimes it's tough and hard to chew and other times it's well made. Also other places have more and better bread/butter options. I may change my mind about this place in the future but for now, there might be other steakhouses to go to.

I love Brazilian steakhouses. I've been to so many over the years, but Fogo was one that I previously always went to multiple times a year, up until recently. I feel like their quality has steadily declined over the years, but my most recent visit was an absolute disaster. I came here on a Saturday for a party of 9, and we were seated at a corner right next to a huge party of at least 25-30 people. The foods tasted fine, but the service was horrible. Even our drinks took over 30 minutes to come out, and we kept having to remind the servers for our drinks because they were forgotten. The servers carrying the meats barely stopped by our table (avoiding the large party next to us who were taking up most of the space taking photos/paying their check in a long line). Even though the party next to us was in the way, it was not acceptable for the servers avoid this area and not bring us the foods. Because we were seated at the corner, whenever the food did come out, for the most part, they only gave meats to the people of my party who were sitting at the outer part of the table but not the inner parts. Even when we asked multiple times to bring out certain cuts, it took forever for anyone to come; when they did come, they briefly walked around, serving (of course) the outer half of my table, and briefly left. Everything felt rushed with the servers that day like they did not want to bother with our table at all. One of the most unacceptable things that happened was the server brought the grilled cheese/honey to our table. He literally tossed the cheeses on each of our plates, without care or any regard. For my plate, he also tossed the cheese but missed my plate. The cheese landed on the tablecloth, and he just grabbed the cheese and put it back on my plate. This was super rude and unsanitary. Because of this recent experience, I will not be back to Fogo unless they improve or correct these things. When it costs around $70 a person for dinner, I expect at least decent service and tasty foods. I don't mind spending a lot of money on good foods/service, but spending this much on a horrible experience like this was not okay. My party left the restaurant upset and not full. Until then, I'll be at Chama Gaucha instead.

Chris was great! He was very courteous and accommodating to our needs and wants, glad to have had him of service during one of our anniversary dinners. Buffet was well laid out and never had to wait for table -side meat selections long before the next came. This location stays busy in the large open one room layout so be sure to get a reservation & be prepared to be surrounded by families with cute kiddos, this is less "dark date night" style than lots of steakhouses so just be aware in case you're wanting quiet vs. lively :)

Me and my husband had a great 1st time experience here. All the waiters and staff were so nice and helpful. We both did the full churrasco and there was so much food it was almost overwhelming. It was nice to try things new things. I'm not a huge steak eater so alot of my favorites were the chicken. I'm definitely one that needs a sauce to go with my meat but I know see from other reviews there is a chimichurri sauce available so I'll have to try it next time. Overall great time, we got our moneys worth and waddled out with full stomachs.

The Fogo experience is not uncommon for cities that have a vibrant dining scene and a penchant for unlimited slices of meat. They've become the most ubiquitous Brazilian steakhouse brand and are well represented all throughout the country. The Houston version hasn't been my favorite, but it's been a place that I've frequented often over the last few months due to their Best of Brazil deal ($39.99 per person). While it isn't the best option in town, it is one of the most complete experiences with solid food, service, and a lot to offer to those with big appetites and special occasions. The parking lot might not look very spacious, but there's a lot of parking in the back. After a certain hour during the dinner service, most of the front spaces will be roped off in favor of valet. Lunch might be a better option for most folks but know that the offerings will be someone limited. There is plenty of seating and lots of white tablecloth action happening. The lighting isn't particularly ideal for food porn shots and there are dedicated sections for private parties. They're extremely big on reservations, however, most week nights they'll be able to take walk-ins since the place is rarely ever full. The service and wait staff is composed of a lot of youngins who are eager for gratuity and are a bit casual compared to other similar establishments. It feels less premium, but certainly less stuffy as well. The regular churrasco experience is around $62 a person. It comes with unlimited trips to the salad / cold foods buffet and a whole plethora of meats. The display for the cold foods is not particularly impressive, but there is a good selection of items that standout for yours truly. They include the roasted zucchini, the assortment of cheeses, the assortment of cheeses, naturally the candied bacon, and while not incredible, I still appreciate the fact they serve the Brazilian national dish, feijoada. Once the table card is flipped to green, the real treat always comes down to the meats. Their pincanha is the most consistent and is often available in rare to medium rare. The top + bottom sirloin, beef ribs, bone-In ribeye, and lamb chops are still the ones for me to eat. I haven't seen enough filet mignon or pork belly, but I do wish they would make this more of a focal point when showcasing their offerings. There's a little too much bacon wrapped this and that with sausage and a very uninspiring frango chicken to boot. The bonus is the warm crispy polenta and pao de queijo served table side. There were times during the summer where the ventilation wasn't working and I would advise the management to make sure that this is under control, along with the flied that bothered my dining companions and I throughout one of our meals. Overall, despite the less than ideal circumstances with staff and ambiance, I still think it's worth visiting, especially for people who are fans of the cuisine and have some allegiance to the Fogo brand (#1). ____________ (#1) Frequent Diners card anyone?

There was a 15 minute wait for the reservation no big deal but I was standing at the bar and the bartender ignored me and he didn't use anyone to serve I just stood there when I wanted to order a beverage while I waited. The waitress was spectacular there was a time span of 10 minutes where the servers just didn't come back and I cooled off a little bit over all it was aight. The food was good as always and the ambiance was standard fogo.

I'm surprised I'm barely doing this review. I've been to several Fogo de Chao in the United States. Most recently, the one in Rosemount, Illinois. I decided to come check out the Houston location. I can't remember if I've been to this location in the past so since it's been so long, I guess I'll treat. This is my first experience at the Houston location. Food; the food is really good here. The salad bar is amazing. All of the cuts of meat are simply top notch. I like the Brazilian sodas, the cheese bread is probably my favorite. Also, I'm not sure why they got rid of the roasted pineapple. That was one of our favorites. The new seasoning on the chicken leg quarters was pretty amazing. Overall, we're very happy with our experience. It was quite busy for Christmas. I mean it was jampacked. It was kind of hard to get to the salad bar, but it wasn't a big deal. The service is pretty good. Juan was top notch. You can tell he really tried to give his all and he did his best job he could. I thought he was an amazing customer service person. I will definitely come back to this location. Solid five stars.

Fogo is one of my favorite restaurants but the service when I went was not that great maybe because I came for Happy hour. Very interesting considering it was really my first time participating in happy hour. Usually I sit in the main restaurant and do the full experience but I was in the area and wanted a light bite with a friend. It took about 15 minutes to be attended to and the restaurant was not busy at all. Anyway, I ordered the beef empanadas and my friend got the spiced chicken sliders. The beef empanadas were pretty good with the sauce it came with, the chicken sliders were alright. We came on a Tuesday, and since we are reward members, we got the $1 Caipirinha's, they felt a little bit watered down with the alcohol. We didn't even get waters either our order lol happy hour is definitely a miss at this location as far as service goes.

Excellent dining experience for Sunday dinner. Half-price cocktails were delicious. Party of 3 adults with 1 pescetarian who did the Salad Bar and two others who did the full experience. Jonathan was an excellent server and the selection was great. It can be difficult to get well-done cuts of meat when the restaurant is busy, but we received any requests almost immediately. The ambiance is upscale, but dress is casual. This is good as you will probably need stretchy clothing after your meal.

Nice choice for a special family dinner. Used a gift card for two drinks, two dinners and two desserts.Added an extra market table buffet for my pescatarian-vegetarian daughter. Yes, please. Let the feast begin..... Started with the salad bar. So many seasonal fruits, vegetables and cheeses. Love the smoked salmon. The apple, date and Manchego cheese salad is so good. Mozzarella caprese. Asparagus. Potato salad. Artichokes. Caesar salad. The grilled pineapple is so delicious. The sides brought to the table are classic Brazilian steakhouse. Mashed potatoes. Yucca fries. Caramelized bananas. The Brazilian cheese bread was a bit dry, though. Next let the parade of meats start. Green means yes, please. Red means, no more. Favorites include the lamb picanha and the lamb chops. The prime lamb picanha or lamb steak is so tender and tasty. The lamb chops that we requested were so good. The Brazilian lemonade is refreshing on a warm summer day in Houston. Took our key lime and creme brûlée desserts to go. Service was very good. Rafael was a fabulous waiter. Note: We asked the kitchen staff what salads and beans had meat in them. We were told the beans were vegetarian. They were not. They also have a special for $44 per person. Good place for a special family dinner.

In regards to the food, it was delicious but we didn't find it exceptional enough to justify the high price point. The meal started off with complimentary bread service that you could choose with sea salt or garlic parmesan topping. The bread was so fluffy, warm, and comforting. We ordered the Braised Pork Belly, which was surprisingly tender and juicy, and the sauce complimented it very well. We ordered the regular size bone-in KC Strip to share. It was a huge portion and they give you extremely hot plates so that the steak stays warm and sizzly on your plate once you eat it. We were pretty impressed by how juicy and tender it was. The corn creme brulee and Boursin cheese whipped potatoes we had as sides were great complements to the dish. The interior is really bright and there are lots of tables as well as some seating outside. A good value for brunch tbh as you get bottomless drinks + a starter + a main. There is free parking in the garage behind the restaurant.

This is the best bar burger in Houston. Juicy meat, fresh tasting, well-seasoned. 10/10 no notes…read more Drinks were good but we stuck to beer/wine since we drove here. The burger was the highlight. Moody lighting and not too loud (unless someone brought their kids) so you can actually converse with your party. Will absolutely be back for the burger. Fries were great too. Highly recommend adding jalapeños to your burger, the up charge is worth it. They're fresh and actually spicy!!

It's a nice lowkey neighborhood spot with a bar and outdoor seating as well. The ambiance was chill and casual which I am all for. They are pet friendly as I got to see some fur babies come in which is always nice. We started with some glasses of Cabernet and told our waiter we were celebrating my birthday. The food didn't take long to come out and was so darn good. It was probably one of the best steak nights I've had in a while. We had the ribeyes, mash potato, mac and cheese, green beans, and French fries. The steak was seasoned perfectly and grilled to the perfect temperature to my liking. We are still talking about it, I can't wait to come back and try their chimichurri sauce. We ended with the strawberry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheese cake. They weren't too sweet and just the right amount of richness. If they aren't on your list for steak night I definitely recommend!

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Food was delicious but veeeery indulgent. We will be back.

We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!
