It our first time going to Reza Persian Grill and we really enjoyed the food!! The staff was super kind and helpful. The bread was amazing and super soft and chewy. We also got a hummus to pair with it. I got the Reza specialty 2 and my gf got the Reza specialty 3, and we both really liked what we ordered. The ground beef kebab was our favorite, and we want to try the lamb next time. Highly recommend

L4 on menu Lamb Shank w/basmati rice and fava beans $17

I had lunch here a few weeks ago for the first time. My party was promptly seated and after reviewing the menu I chose L4 which is the lamb shank for $17. The meal arrived in less than 15 minutes later and looked great on the plate. A big lamb shank served with basmati rice, dill and fava beans and it was a very good tasting meal. The meat was juicy and tender and rice and beans equally as good. Also at that price point, it was a real value. We all enjoyed our meals and the table service was very good too. I would be happy to come back.

It's been awhile since I've had Reza, as always the R2 completes my lunch or even dinner. You got the Beef Koobideh and the Chicken Barg with their Cranberry Rice and Hummus. Of course the complimentary bread with their cheese and herbs and their Persian tea always is a nice touch.

I love this restaurant! The chicken is perfectly made and seasoned to perfection. Their ghameh was also very delicious. Everything they have is delicious. This Persian restaurant is ranked top 5 in my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants.

I didn't get the rice with the cranberries in it because I just prefer a plain rice, but the meat I got was perfectly seasoned and cooked well. The cubed chicken and the koobidah were both great. The tandoori bread was awesome, and the mint drink was good as well. The décor inside is beautiful and trendy, but also looks timeless. I would return.

I really liked the food, especially in the koobideb was fantastic. They also serve kotlet, which is one of my favorite dishes and not commonly found in any other restaurant. The homemade bread also tasted fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Pricing is also great.

#NAZC2024 I've been enjoying Reza for years--whether it's dining in, takeout, or catering for parties! Their service is consistently amazing, from the owner to the wait staff--always friendly and accommodating. Their restaurant has plenty of seating, is simply decorated, and has plenty of parking. Recently, I was blown away by their generosity. Thank you, Reza, for donating a fantastic meal to our NAZC Event! The chicken kabob was packed with flavor, the beef kabob was perfectly juicy, and the rice brought everything together beautifully. And let's not forget the adorable hummus cup--creamy, savory, and the perfect touch. Thank you again!

This restaurant is located in big shopping center with plenty of parking. I went there on a Wednesday night, it was half full. Food quality was great. I perfected lamb soltani, Persian hot team and Persian ice cream. Overall great experience.

Authentic and flavourful…read more Service and atmosphere: Our server was polite, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and very well designed and decorated. It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. The food was fresh, well seasoned and was full of flavours. The meats were moist, salad and starter tasted fresh. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

As busy as they were, we had 3 managers stop by to ask how we were doing. - Food was awesome. I don't even know what we ordered since we had a native Persian friend that ordered for us. All I can say that the kebab, soltani, lamb ribs, and Persian ice cream, were amazing. - Modern, clean ambiance. Bad: - Gets crowded during busy the weekends. Been meaning to try this place but it was not at the top of my list. I was finally able to visit…read morethis restaurant last Thursday. The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

Their cherry rice is just top tier here and it goes so well. I had never had cherry rice before coming here and I'm hooked!. It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to
