This little hidden hole in the wall was delicious! The meat is tender and flavorful, juicy, and just overall melt in your mouth! The service was exceptional, Mohammad was great, very attentive! The presentation of the food was lovely! Not pictured we had the hummus and the lovely, plate of herbs and cheese they bring when you sit, along with the best made to order bread I've had in this city, and I've had a lot of bread lol! We also had the hot chai with baklava at the end of our meal! Overall I recommend this place! You should give them a try for sure!

Our Supper Club's outing this month. There were 14 hungry, discriminating adults and we LOVED it. From the hummus, yogurt, Eggplant dip to all the meats, the rice and saffron-pistachio ice cream and Persian tea. Very attentive service as well. Please go and support them.

When first driving up we were a little apprehensive since it's in a shopping center with a very unassuming sign. Once we got inside we were greeted by the most pleasant owner and the ambiance was so nice! We loved everything about this place! The owner was so sweet and showed us some new items we would not have gotten otherwise. My husband is Iranian so finding a good Persian restaurant is always a plus! He said the bread tastes just like it does in Iran! the beef was so delicious and the rice had tahdig which you don't find often in restaurants. The hummus was very good also but I would suggest getting two for the table if you have more than 4 people. This is definitely a must try and add it to the list of amazing Persian restaurants in Houston! Shall I say maybe even better than Rendezvou!?? Yes!! We will definitely be back!

It was phenomenal! It tasted like somebody's grandma prepared their secret family recipe and threw in some love at the end.

I heard this halal spot had recently opened and I was excited to try it. I came in on a Saturday evening. The parking lot had plenty of room, and the restaurant had several open tables. I was promptly greeted and seated. I was brought a plate of warm bread as well as feta cheese and herbs while I reviewed the menu. I ordered the listed special, the kase kabob, which consisted of beef koobideh, chicken chenjeh, and beef chenjeh. Ambiance: The restaurant was a little dark, and I think it would have benefited from having better lighting. The tables were clean, and also sturdy! I don't like eating on a wobbly table. Food: I appreciated the thought behind the presentation of the rice with tahdig. However, the presentation could have been improved by using a smaller plate. I am also not sure why the restaurant wanted to present the kabob in a bowl instead of putting it on the same plate as the rice. The tahdig was not crispy enough, but all of the kabob options were tasty and seasoned nicely. Service: Everyone was friendly and attentive. However, there was some confusion when it came time to pay the bill. The receipt had a QR code, that allowed me to pay for my meal. I scanned the QR code, immediately paid, and started to leave. However, one of the staff followed me outside because they thought I didn't pay, so I had to show my receipt. In the future, I think the restaurant could eliminate the QR option since it doesn't seem like they use it often. Value: Overall, I thought the meal was expensive. The meal cost $27 before tax and tip. While the kabob was very good, I would have liked to have more than two pieces of chicken. When I ordered, I was under the impression that the portions would be larger. The other meals seemed to be a bit more reasonably priced, so I would recommend for people to order something else.

I got the Kashke Bademjan, Kase Kabob, Fesenjan, grilled vegetables and extra bread - pickup order. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, very clean and the staff were very nice. The portion sizes were very nice, I will probably be able to make 3 meals out of what I ordered. The only thing I don't think I would order again were the grilled vegetables. When ordering online, there are a couple of extra items on the online order form that is not on the online menu, so I would suggest also looking at the online ordering form if you are wanting to check out the menu as well. The beef koobideh and beef chenjen were so favorable, I would highly recommend them. Overall, I will be putting this restaurant in my regular rotation.

Saw a new Persian restaurant so I had to check it out. Plenty of seating and parking during the week. They added some nice renovations and touches from the previous tenant. Service was prompt as we were one of two tables seated in the restaurant. I ordered the koobideh kabob and it comes with tadigh which was fantastic, however, the rice wasn't that great. The Koobideh wasn't bad but was missing something.. I ordered a side of gormeh sabzi to try it out and I wouldn't order it again. Hot tea was good, and came in cute cups. Value wise- it was pricier than it should have been. Other similar restaurants in the area provide larger portions for less money and also taste better in my opinion... I'm hoping to return in a few months and maybe try something else.

Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to
