Tourao offers an amazing wide range of authentic Brazilian Barbeque meat selections that includes halal options with a salad bar and Brazilian specialities. This location is their second restaurant expanded from downtown Houston. There are better designated parking spots and designed a newer, more modern, and spacious ambiance interiorly. The service is very quick and nice with providing the specific wants and needs for customers. Overall provided a great and tasty experience. Highly recommend to try and will definitely will be back! Came here because supposedly they offer halal meat so we decided to dine here for a friend's birthday dinner and they're okay with me bringing a birthday cake and birthday candles. I made reservations for 6 on a Friday night and there were only a few customers at that time. Plenty of parking. Nice ambience, casual business wear. Unfortunately, they don't start bringing out the meat till they get busier after 7 pm. Majority of the meat tasted cold. And unfortunately, one of my friends went home that night and vomit around 3 AM. Buffet bar is quite nice with quite a good selections of plantain, salad pasta, fries, mashed potatoes, assortment of cheese and smoked salmon. Again, be wise on what you select as some has been sitting out for awhile. Complimentary cheesecake for birthday celebration but I prefer the birthday cake that I got from Paris Baguette and got my own candles. You have two options for meat selections but we did the less amount of like $35/$39 for each person with unlimited time to the buffet stations. Would I come again? It's not bad but I would come at a much busier time. Compare to their Montrose location, it's just easier for me to get to since it's in Katy. We have been frequent visitors of the Montrose location for quite a while. It came to a point where they recognized us. But we took it off rotation for a little bit--obviously they have great food and great service, which is why we kept going to it, but we wanted to try new restaurants, as we are lucky in Houston to have so many options. We came to the Katy location because I saw on social media that it was a new and halal location. I will have to say the number one thing that I like is how large it is. Yes, the Montrose location has more of a date feel, because of how intimate the setting feels, but I like this one because I would actually be able to come with my family for celebrations, since there is ample seating. The location used to be a pizza place, which is why there are pizza and flowers all over the walls in the bathroom, but I actually like the décor and I think it looks nice and classy. The service was great from the time we went in. He wasn't our only server, there is a dance among them to bring different and fresh meats to the table, but Joel, helped us with making sure we had everything that we needed and made the birthday dessert himself that he brought out to us. I think with someone like him overlooking the restaurant's quality, it will continue to do well. The service was great, the salad bar had great salads, like the mozerella ball and crab salad, and they had my number one thing I need at any Brazilian steakhouse--chimmichurri. Some of my favorites were the Bottom Sirloin, Garlic Beef, Filet Mignon, Spicy Picanha, Wings, and Shrimp, just to name a few. Everything was just perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy with a lot of flavor. And for the Salad Bar, it also has a lot of options, including cured meats (not halal), fruits, veggies, cheeses, and multiple sides and sauces. overall, it is a great experience it is a little pricey, so make sure you're hungry when you go to get your money's worth, lol read more

Top notch Brazilian Steakhouse Churrascaria. I work with a lot of Brazilians so we end up going to a lot of places in town and I also go to Brazil a lot for work, so I can vouch that this is a great place. So glad there's one in Katy now. They use Creekstone high quality beef and they serve a lot of cuts. They also cater to the kosher and halal crowds and is a first in the nation. With regards to the variety they carry and the steps they take. Picanha is my favorite. I also love Brazil lemonade. Everything we got was good and instantly at our table. You have to make a reservation Friday nights. Raul is a very interesting and friendly guy. Very helpful with recommending things and talking about the history of the place. Ask him about mocktails. We initially planned to go to Fogo De Chao since they opened a location in Katy. However, they were closed for lunch for a private event. My husband still wanted to get his meats in so we came across this spot on yelp. Turns out it is the Old Chicago pizza location. This was our first time to this restaurant so we didn't know what to expect regarding the meats and the sides. The meats were all tender and surprisingly seasoned well, not salty or overly seasoned. However, the sides were not as good as Fogo or Chama Guacha as most of the side dishes were chilled by the way. Because of the side dishes which we were not super impressed with, I would have given this place 4 stars, however, we had a great dining experience with our server Joel. He was very friendly and super attentive. My husband even received a complimentary birthday cheesecake which was not too sweet and how we prefer our desserts! Amazing! My family and I went to celebrate my mom's birthday and the service was amazing! It is not hard to see why they have a 4.8 star rating. Went today for lunch, and they had a decent amount of people. The service was great, and the selection was plentiful. Even though they had a good amount of people coming and going they did not rush us while my friend and I had a good and pretty long convo. Salad bar and meat selection is smaller than like a Chama. But I liked how this allowed them to focus on the quality pf the food they put out. The gentleman managing the restaurant was very nice and made sure we knew to ask for the beef rib bc it is by request only like chama. It was totally worth it. Melt in your mouth. My friend enjoyed the selection of lamb and chicken. Ambiance wise, it used to be an old town Chicago, so you still see some of that influence. But even when surrounded by other patrons we did not have a hard time hearing each other. Nor did we have to wait long for additional rounds of meat. I'll definitely be back. What a great place to eat. The service was awesome, great teamwork, friendly and connected with the 5 grandkids that were with us. Food was cooked to perfection and had very nice flavor. Each person had their favorites. I typically do not ask for the chicken; however, I did try the bacon wrapped chicken breast. It was tender and juicy. I would ask for this again.
