Looked for dessert after dinner, and we found The Gelatist. Located in a nice plaza w/ plenty of parking. One of the few locations in the US, and only location in Texas! Super nice interior decor. Friendly staff. Was able to sample a few flavors. Got a small cup w/ 2 flavors (pistachio deluxe & mascarpone/nutella). One of the best pistachio gelato I've had in a while!! Can't wait to return and try other options! read more

The Gelatist is such a fun dessert spot. They're always rotating flavors, so it feels different every time you go. You can mix and match and customize exactly what you want, which I love. They also have waffles, brownies, cookies, and other sweets, so there's a lot to choose from. Everything we tried tasted fresh. Amazing customer service! Very welcoming environment. Great for a date night, late night dessert, or just a quick sweet treat. read more

Dubai ice cream is delicious! Raspberry cheesecake was good. The place was clean and employees pleasant.

Still an excellent place to get gelato, macarons, coffee, pastries and other desserts. Their Dubai chocolate bars are incredible. Staff is awesome and the place is cute and clean. It's right next door to Molina's and Orleans on 1463. Our grandkids love it. read more

The Gelatist - Dubai strawberries - Gelato Near Me - Katy, Texas

Great flavors and options but wooohooo we were a little taken aback by the prices for the portions. This is more of a 'special treat' I think than a regular go-to (especially given the drive for us). Staff, flavors and decor were all great. read more

Well lit, super clean and friendly place. The amount of unique gelato flavors is amazing. The people behind the counter were awesome and knowledgeable. I recommend the ferrero roche, strawberry, salted caramel, marscapone with Nutella and Nutella flavors. The gelato is so rich and decadent. You really should sample to make sure you like the flavors. This place also has crepes, croissants, various coffee drinks, cookies and desserts. Would come here again! read more

The Gelatist - My grandbaby, the one writing the review - Gelato Near Me - Katy, Texas

I love gelato, and on our last night in Texas, our friend Lizzie invited us to this cute little place. She gave us a choice between going to have yogurt ice cream or to go have gelato, Lisa and I chose gelato. I was in heaven because I love to have gelato or ice cream whenever I can. This location was filled with different flavors and very clean and welcoming. The young lady who took care of us was super sweet. She gave us samples of a couple of flavors we weren't familiar with. I finally opted to have a scoop of pistachio and chocolate. My friends had chocolate. It was such a fun place to visit and view all the delicious deserts and flavourful gelatos. A perfect end to our wonderful time in Houston visiting our very dear friend. We would definitely make this our traditional goodbye place on our next visit to Texas. read more

Cafe arabia - 8/10 - Nice coffee flavor but tasted more sugary than coffee like Ferrero rocher - 9/10 - So good and chocolatey, wish it had some chunks of ferrero rocher tho Mango - 8/10 - More tangy than sweet like a sorbet, refreshing tho Pistachio - 9.5/10 - Tasted just like pistachios, really creamy and tasty The gelatist is such a cute gelato spot with nice vibes. Their gelatos were flavorful but some could be more rich in flavor in my opinion. I think they were more on the sweeter side. They do make their gelatos fresh daily so i would recommend checking them out! read more

We really enjoyed the ice cream at this Gelateria. At first I was disappointed they didn't have my favorite flavors (Mint Chocolate Chip and Dulce de leche). But the good part is that it forced me to try new flavors. It is a true Gelateria (Italian Ice cream) with mostly American flavors and a few Italian flavors. I ended up getting the Dark Chocolate and Reeses peanut butter cup. The place is very new and nicely decorated and very clean. Everyone in there was very friendly. My kids kept asking to try different flavors and they thankfully didn't get annoyed with us. They kept a smile on their faces the entire time. If you live in the area, this is a great place to get great tasting and creamy ice cream. read more

Ordered the chocolate fudge cake. Took one bite, extremely dry and hard. I returned to the counter to let them know. The lady took the cake. I believe she was maybe getting me a different piece. Instead the cake was returned to me with just them pouring chocolate syrup on it. Needless to say it was not eaten and this business will not be patronized by me again. read more

They have given place is very big and they have a seat in the back at the window that shows them making the ice cream!!! This place is amazing!!! Reminds me of being in Europe. Their coffee is excellent and their gelato is perfect. I'm so glad to have this authentic place nearby. Service is always great. LOVE this place! We've came a few times, first for my mom's birthday because she loves tiramisu and I was looking for a place that serves authentic tiramisu. We got the 3 scoop gelato on a cone for about $7 and I think it's a STEAL! I will recommend this place time and time again. The serving is huge and can be shared with 2-3 people. It's quite a bit. The gelato is super smooth and so good. I always think about this place. The cannolis are also pretty good but for the price, I would get the gelato. It's so much more worth it. As for the tiramisu, turns out my mom doesn't really like authentic tiramisu as much as her frozen style kind, haha. I wouldn't order the tiramisu again for the price for one slice. Staff is so friendly and nice. They do give samples which is very nice. The interior is clean and spacious! Come check this place out! read more

the service was good but the cake was not. The cake tasted and felt like it was a few days old.

Mmm gelato! Was craving something sweet and stumbled upon this place. Sooo many options to choose from... from cakes and cheesecakes, cannolis, to the famous gelato. We both got two different flavors, raspberry cheesecake and kinder chocolate. Both were really tasty and good. Kinda bummed that the waffle cup required getting 4 scoops of ice cream, I didn't realize that prior to ordering it and was stuck with 4 scoops of the same flavor. Wish it could be an option for smaller sizes. Everything was really good though! read more

My grandchildren love going here. My Harper loves when they gave Wild Berry flavor! She's nine and gets the large - I can only eat a small!

This place had some AMAZING unique gelato flavors! I had several samples and loved them all. I ended up going with the oreo and dark chocolate...I know not unique...but the kids and their dad had some fun flavors so we all ate off eachother. :) Very cute little shop and interesting to know that this is their only location in the U.S. GREAT service. Nice atmosphere. And of course, delicious Gelato and desserts. I will be back to try their cheesecake and some other flavors. read more

Delicious and creamy gelato and other sweet pastries to try! There are two counters worth of gelato flavors, so you should definitely come on and try a sample or two before choosing your order! The shop is decked out in cute and Instagram worthy decor, with both indoor and outdoor seating available for guests. Workers do wear masks while serving you, but it is not required for customers to wear them (though most I saw were wearing them unless they were eating). There is plenty of space for you and your guests to spread out inside so that you can safely distance from other guests and enjoy your gelato! read more

Great dessert place! Now that we have found it, we plan to be regulars. Lots of gelato options, cookies, cakes, coffees and other treats. There is ample seating. There is one bathroom for women and one for men (which unfortunately ran out of toilet paper and hand towels when we were there). There was a steady flow of patrons when we went (Saturday evening). Lots of items to try. Will be back for sure! read more
