What a cute coffee shop! We found ourselves here one morning as we had an appointment close by on S. Mason. Traffic wasn't too bad along Mason and the location was easy to find using GPS. The coffee shop is part of a shopping strip that includes other popular businesses like Aji Ramen and Hoodadak. The ambiance and decor are quite lovely! The cafe is much larger inside than I expected, and it was super clean with good, reliable WiFi. We just stopped by for a few minutes and were recommended the honey nut latte as one of their more popular drinks. We got it hot. It was perfect! Not too hot, definitely not cold, great flavor, strong coffee flavor, and not too sweet. There's also a wall of fancy teas that's definitely worth checking out. (See my photo.) Service was also good! Nice, kind employee and the drink came out quickly. Luckily there wasn't a line when I arrived and only 2 other people in the cafe chatting at the time. We used delivery and ordered the nutella iced latte, pistachio iced latte, the falafel wrap, and a dubai chocolate cookie. Everything was very good and the prices were fair. I am looking forward to ordering again and will check out their location in-person next time. I felt inspired to leave a review due to a patron on yelp who gave them a 2 star rating for not giving him a free drink because that man was upset that he ordered the wrong drink. Embarassing. I came here to catch up with a friend. This place is very nice and open. It's a great place to study or to work in. The staff is very sweet and friendly. I ordered one of their limited time drinks, a pistachio hot chocolate with a shot of decaf espresso. It was really good. You can taste all the flavors and they mellowed well together. There was a hard to see cat design in my latte so that was cute. There's also a self serve table if you need water or condiments if you ordered food. There's also an outdoor patio. This is easily one of my favorite coffee shops! They have amazing crepes -- especially the Dubai chocolate crepe and the strawberry cup -- both are absolutely delicious. Cocohodo feels like its seen better days. I remember coming here a few years ago enjoying morning a coffee with a snack. It seems to have switched owners in the last few years and despite the same vision, its identity has somewhat changed from morning coffee to a general cafe. Not to say thats a bad thing, but it tells me that expansion into involving more menu items means you may not focus the delicates of coffee and morning vibes. Oh they play elevator music. I absolutely abhor elevator music. You're not going anywhere and end up where you start musically. I came here to enjoy coffee and a book and I couldn't' concentrate because of the music. I know its a "me" thing. Their coffee was pretty decent, but its not the craft coffee that I was use to back in the day. They offer more drink options for tea. Cocohodo does have alot of seating with a lot of space. Definitely a place to study or do somework. I'll inevitably come back but I'll be sure to bring my earbuds. read more

I love Cocohodo and it's homey, cosy vibes. I was told about this place by a friend and it's quickly become the first place I have to visit whenever I leave the house. I'll come here for coffee or a quick breakfast and lose track of time and suddenly realize that it's dark outside. It's the perfect spot for studying, or meeting up with friends or a casual date. I've come here for all the above and because I'm a creature of habit I almost always get the same things unless there's a new item on the menu which I have to try. Their coffee and teas are awesome, their breakfast crepe is wonderful, their chicken tenders and fries are amazing and all their desserts and ice creams are so so good, you have to stop yourself from trying everything! This is a great place to meet with friends or do the opposite and unplug by yourself with a book (that was me and the other people were socializing haha) Got the Nutella latte- wasn't as sweet as I was hoping but it did nail down the hazelnut flavor and brought out the espresso. I never post reviews but this one didn't sit well with me. So, I paused work to take 10 minutes to register for a Yelp account and to write a review. I'm a new customer. The coffee was great. The place was busy. My wife and I ventured in because she had been a couple of times before and bragged about it to me. So, we went together. My wife ordered the first round of coffee. As I stated, it was great. However, on our 2nd round of coffee orders, I ordered the wrong drink for her. The young lady would not make another one citing that that's what I ordered but she would be willing to make another one and charge us for the new one (in essence, 5 coffees). So, suffice to say, that's my last time coming here. This location is already 20 minutes from our house, and I just wanted to try something else instead of MoonBUX or DRUNKINS (the names were changed to protect the innocent). But I'm willing to bet that the big chain would have replaced the drink with no problem. And I'm willing to bet that the young lady has sent back an item at some point in her life and asked for it to be replaced. I'm not saying not to go here, but just be just sure you order correctly, because if not, you're stuck with your mistake. Yes, it was I who made the mistake, but there was a glimpse of an opportunity for me to walk out of there with a positive experience, return for the experience and tell my friends of my experience of this coffee shop. Incredibly kind staff and very spacious interior for study or a group meet up. They also have outdoor shaded seating! We ordered the mocha and honey lavender latte (special off menu item) and they were SO GOOD. The owner uses organic roasts and actual lavender and local honey, it just hit differently. How disconcerting is it to pass by a place and seeing the name that looks like it's saying that it's dirty inside? I see "Cochino", and did a double-take. After having some ramen noodles next door we decided to step into here for dessert. The place is inviting and at this time on a Saturday at 5 o' clock it was pretty much quiey with about eight people, all on their laptops and smartphones. Quiet music is played in here which will give you a sense that you're welcome to do your studying here or to have a nice normal conversation face to face 4 feet apart. You are met at the door by a stack of baby chairs, five or six wooden tables and a faux leather couch to sit on. As you approach the counter you will notice the condiment bar with ice water, cups, napkins and a few little bottles for your Crepes if you have anything that is not fruity. Upon further advancement you and noticed a nice selection of teas to your left and if you turn to your right facing the counter you will see the menu and hopefully a welcoming smile at the counter, that was not the case today I think the guy would have rather been somewhere else, oh well. I don't blame him, it's Saturday! We ordered the craps and which my son had the crepes in which he had the All-American and I ordered the Banana Foster. They really do not go all the way out to decorate their crops like some other places but they were delightfully light and filling for dessert. Maybe it was my imagination but the bananas didn't seem to be really that fresh since I noticed some dark spots, but I could contribute to the caramel that was also mixed in there so I'm not going to take off any points for that, I just have to be aware of it next time. I was eating too fast to stop There is a patio with about 5 picnic tables or you can see, weather permitting to your comfort level. If you happen to because in the area Monday through Friday from 3 to 5pm, you are enticed to come in with a 20% off of all menu items. Since I did not have any ice cream this time I did notice however they have a liquid nitrogen ice cream station with supposedly no artificial flavors, Colors, Salt or eggs and gluten-free. Just for your information. Also included in the dietary lineup is a selection of decaffeinated tea. Prices for each dessert crepe was about $8 plus Uncle Sam. That's about average for crepes in any other place I would say. read more

I'm going to end the Cocohoodoo and review Cocohodo. I prefer Cocohodo to Cocohobo, because who wants to see a hobo naked, really. I mean, it's probably not going to be the most sanitary experience. But each to their own. It's a massively popular Korean chain, but this is not your average Cocohodo - whatever an average cocohodo may be. This is one which shares its business with a Frozen Treat company - Sweet Vivian's, same owner - and it's pretty popular in the Katy area. I had a "hunch" about coming "back" here, but that's more Quasimodo than Cocohodo. The best thing about it is the nice owner and the great decor. We're not a big fan of the products but with such a friendly owner and some really great employees and such a beautiful space to hang out, there's no way I could ever give it less than a 4. Stuff isn't cheap and I haven't been stunned by anything I've had here yet, so I have to keep coming back to try new items. So Pepsi is trying to get on top of the Cola charts, but so far, we've seen Coca-holdon to the #1 position. We had nitrogen ice cream and drinks, and nothing was great. Products are a little too sweet and dare I say, anglicized. We wanted the famous "Walnut Pastry" but it didn't happen. They haven't had any of them for a long time, corporate issues. It probably will not be a Cocohodo for much longer because several of the signature items that Cocohodo sells are no longer available because they have to be imported and it's complicated like your relationship with your mother. They're probably converting over to simply be a Sweet Vivian's sooner rather than later. Whatever the name of the place it's definitely a really nice place to hang out. So is your mother's bedroom. Now I'm excited, I have a cocohardon so I have to gtfo. Bye. read more
