From their selection of Wintermoons and Summermoon drinks, I enjoy both kinds of drinks, whether hot or cold! I have been eyeing this place, every time I drive by. From the outside, my significant other thought it was a coal, grilled pizza restaurant until we got inside (sorry honey). Interior looks cool and gave me an instant Austin vibe. Ordering was moderate speed but service is quite slow. I don't know who they decide get their coffee first. A girl ordered after me got her drink rather quickly while there was about 5 other people ahead of me still waiting for theirs. It took about half an hour before I got my half wintermoon. Mine you, the girl who ordered after me got the same drink as me so I don't understand why her name was called first, especially since there was 5 people ahead of me. Once I got my drink, I was rather disappointed. Am I missing something? It taste like regular milk with no expresso. It's the very few times in my lifetime, that I tried to drink it but end up tossing the whole thing away. It's not cheap either. Majority of the tables were dirty with limited parking spaces. This was such a cute coffee shop! There was tons of seats inside and lots of parking spots. I got an iced spiced chai with oat milk and a butter croissant. They heated the croissant for me which was nice and it was tasty. The iced spice chai was delicious as well, you can definitely taste the spice! I absolutely love Summer Moon, to me they beat out Starbucks any day of the week. Whenever I'm in the needed for coffee I always search for Summer Moon. I haven't been to this location in a while, but I was in the area. The service was okay. There were only two young ladies working, one making the orders and the other taking the orders. They needed one more to take care of the rush that was coming in between 2p - 3p. They were doing a good job handling the line, though. I would mention, where the muffins and croissants were, there were a bunch of gnats swarming around in the container. It was gross. And to see them not even pay attention to it. I couldn't get a pic of the gnats on the food, but believe me when I say, they were there. And it was disgusting. If it was one, okay, but it was a lot. Needless to say, just stick with the coffee. If you are in need of the food, inspect it to be sure there is nothing flying around in there. read more

First time visiting a Summer Moon! Looks like a relaxing vibe to study or meet up with friends! The barista let me try the moon milk and then gave me a run down of the menu! And then gave me recommendations in what to get! The coffee was so yummy and came out so fast. We got the Blue Moon iced latte which had lavender, Summer moon latte which is a hot latte sweetened with their moon milk, and a kids hot chocolate. Happily pleased with everything!! I'm gonna sound like a total Karen here but here goes. I love this place and its coffee. I'm a pretty regular patron since I work nearby. The employees are always great and even though the parking sucks, I enjoy stopping in. But. Three times in the last week I've come in with what has happened to be a group of either three or four people, and all three times we ended up taking our coffee and food and leaving because all the seating was taken by people on laptops--just squatting. I've got zero objections to folks working in there. I get it. But when someone is alone at a table and/or bench intended for at least four people, with their backpack and crap deliberately placed defensively in all the surrounding chairs, it gets annoying. Why is it so hard to direct single patrons (or two) to appropriate seating when it's busy? Why should one guy get to hog a large table, or a table and bench, when you have groups standing there in the store with literally nowhere to sit? read more

Summer moon is addicting. I'm convinced moon milk is melted ice cream. I believe the blue moon is their lavender latte and it was lovely. The regular moon lattes are great too, with full or half going by how much moon milk is in it. Aesthetic is pleasant, tables available to study or meet up. I walked in to buy some moon milk which is their yummy creamer that's so rich and delicious and makes all your coffee so yummy and it was so crowded outside. This place was recommended to me by a friend who spoke highly of their coffee. They visited a different location but said the coffee is worth trying. They do have good coffee and I also ordered a bottle of the moon milk for when we make coffee at home. There was a good amount of space inside but it was still fairly busy even on a weekday. It's kind of a small parking lot and it's shared so I can imagine it's even more busy on the weekends. It was clean and the interior is cute. Service was pretty quick. The one negative I'll say is that all the staff seemed very unhappy to be there and even when interacting with them it was like they were all in a bad mood. Went in for the first time recently. They were redoing the menu so I'm not sure as to how their variety is regularly. So I went to straight to the barista and let them know I needed recommendations since I had never been in. I just knew I wanted a coffee. They told me about their moon milk and how I could get different levels of it. I got a caramel blue moon. I liked the flavor of it, but I didn't taste the uniqueness of the moon milk in it. The prices were typical of coffee places like Starbucks and such. Think I paid $6 for my coffee. The place is well lit and clean, saw quite a few people in their with their laptops. So it could be a good spot to study or work from. This place was recommended to me by others, and they had told me about how they were offered samples of the moon milk on their first visit so they could get an idea of what it would taste like. Going to college in Austin, Summer Moon was a staple and trusty coffee shop for studying and delicious drinks. I'm so happy they opened locations here in Houston! I stopped by while visiting family for the holidays and needing a spot to get some work done. Ordered the Christmas cookie latte (1/4 moon milk) and it was fantastic. Chef's kiss. I came to Summer Moon on a weekday afternoon because I needed a place to work for a bit before an appointment I had in the area. It's located in a small shopping area. Parking is a little hard there because it is such a small lot. Even at 10am on a Wednesday, the small lot was pretty packed. The cafe itself is actually pretty roomy and there was plenty of seating and easy access to outlets. There a a few 2-3 person tables lining one side of the cafe near the counter, and some larger tables that could seat 4-6 near the front entrance and by the back as well. I had read some reviews about their "Moon Milk" drinks and thought I would try one. I ordered a matcha latte with 25% Moon Milk. The girl who took my order had told me that the matcha latte was pretty "earthy" and if the drink with 25% Moon Milk wasn't sweet enough for me, she could add extra. I am SO glad I only got 25% because I think if I had gone any higher, it would have been way too sweet and nearly undrinkable for me. If I could have ordered it with 10% Moon Milk, I would have. The Moon Milk tasted like melted vanilla ice cream to me. It was very creamy, but also VERY sweet. I usually don't drink super sweet drinks so my palate may have just been very sensitized to the amount of sugar in the Moon Milk, or maybe it would have been balanced out better with an espresso drink (maybe a Moon Milk latte next time - with espresso - and not matcha). I didn't think their matcha latte tasted that earthy at all, and the sugary sweetness of the Moon Milk really masked the umami flavor of the matcha. I did like the ambiance of Summer Moon and it's a great place to get some work done because it's not very loud. But beware of their Moon Milk lattes if you don't do sweet drinks. Or at least start with a 25% and go from there. I've read other reviews that stated that the customer was offered a sample of Moon Milk. I wasn't offered one, but maybe if you ask they'll get you a sample and you can decide for yourself if you want to try a Moon Milk Latte or just go with a more traditional drink. I still think Summer Moon is 5 stars because the space was great, baristas were all super friendly, the service was quick, and they have a great selection of drinks and baked goods. read more

Summer moon coffee is a prime spot to get your morning joe. Its a bustling place especially on the weekends so parking could be limited. The coffee spread is pretty impressive and there are your normal list of styles, and some signature blends and drinks. I also stick to their seasonal lattes. Pricing is decent and good for what you get. You'll also notice that they sell more than just coffee, but other memorabilia too like shirts and hats. Interesting for a coffee shop. They have plenty of spaces to do work or study but it can get rather loud in there. Their BEST asset they have is their AIR CONDITIONING. Its always blasting! AC is a must in this crazy Houston heat and this place does not skimp out. Its always sub 75 degrees in there and you'll probably need a jacket even tho its 100+ outside. Its SO COLD that the windows have condensation dripping on it from the outside. If you don't care much for coffee, this place is still enjoyable thanks to their AIR CONDITIONING to beat the heat! read more

The staff was super nice and very helpful. I told them it was my first time, and the barista at the register asked if I wanted to sample the moon milk they had, she said it was dairy based, I think. It was nice, creamy and sweet. So I decided to get the Winter Moon Latte, since I like really creamy and sweet coffee drinks. I was able to stop by here a few times after class with some friends and my first experience wasn't so great but the second time was a little bit better. I really liked the interior of this coffee shop. There is a lot of seating options and tables where people were studying at and I think I could see myself studying here as well (: The first time I came I asked what the difference between the Matcha Moon and the Regular Matcha was and it was "Moon milk" lol I think they put vanilla into their milk for the moon milk or something. So I got the Matcha Moon but I didn't want it too sweet so I asked for vanilla syrup but only half the amount they usually put and then for Soy milk. They don't carry soy but all other non dairy for some reason which sucks :( I went with Oat milk and omg I know Oat milk is an upcharge but my total was almost $8 for a 16 oz.. yikes starbucks isn't even that much :( I finally got my drink and it was very underwhelming. It tasted like watered down milk with a hint of matcha. I don't think the oat milk was shaken before pouring? idk anymore.. I didn't think I would come back after this but I decided to give it another try. Second visit- I came back to try something different that my friend got the first time and said she really liked- Espresso Milkshake. Okay that sounds good! I did remember it coming with chocolate sauce in it so I asked for only 1 pump of chocolate and it was pretty good! We've been here a few times and thought I'd already done a review......Wood fire roasted coffee beans...yes please! Picked up another bag of their awesome beans, glowing ember...guatemala medium roast beans, oak roasted.....great beans. I've started a bean list for all the places i've bought beans from, that way I can try all of them. Summer moon's list is en fuego, velvet blaze, inferno.....i'm starting to sense a theme. All of them have been amazing. Wifey always gets a frozen blended coffee drink and the baristas do an awesome job, I enjoyed a hot cappuccino. We'll be back for more. read more

Finally came in to check this place out and it's amazing!!! The baristas are nice, wait time was fair, and coffee tastes amazing. The ambiance is really nice, plenty of seating inside and outside, but loud. I'm not sure I would sit down and work here without losing focus. Price is the typical coffee joints. $6.15-$6.55 for a large latte. I ordered the 3/4 summer moon latte and it was very sweet. I will try 1/2 summer moon latte next time. The moon milk in it is very creamy. I really enjoyed it but it's what makes the latte sweet so get less of it if you don't like your coffee as sweet and want to taste the espresso more. My husband got the blue moon latte and it was also good. The lavender taste is definitely there but it's not overpowering and doesn't taste like soap like when I make my own lavender lattes, ha! I finally got around to trying this place after hearing all the hype when they moved to town however long ago, and man am I sad that I missed out this long. This place immediately rocketed to be one of my favorite coffee spots in town, especially for iced lattes. Their Wintermoon Latte is out of this world good - whatever is in that secret moon milk is beyond me and completely sets this place apart as somewhere that must be tried by all. As others mention, you can adjust the sweetness of your drink by opting for 1/4, 1/2, or full moon milk - for my first time, I went all the way with full and loved it, but can see where toning it back a little to 1/2 or 1/4 would take some of the guilty away, especially if this is your regular coffee spot. Since this was a trek and a treat for me, YOLO was the way to go. I also tried their Nitro Moon with moon milk, so that is a good option if you want a stronger coffee flavor with a subtle creaminess added not just from the nitro pour but also the milk. The first time I tried this coffee shop was when I was in Forth Worth back in 2018. This was before their Houston locations opened up. I love how their coffee taste so good. It's much better than any Starbucks coffee out there (you heard me!). I'm glad that we have had several locations in Houston for more than two years now where I don't have to drive to Austin or DFW to taste this amazing brewed coffee. The shop's ambiance is super cozy; you can study there for hours! It is that conducing to your studies here. The staff is friendly, and the service is fast. What a great addition to the Katy area. We made a special trip from League City just for a cup of coffee. We first started going to Summer Moon when we were visiting Austin on a regular basis. We quickly fell in love with the taste of their coffee. They wood-fire their beans. I do not understand the process but I do know that they taste delicious. Their "Moon Milk" is what makes their in-store coffee so delicious. We typically order the half moon because it is less sweet. You can actually order a full moon, three-quarter moon, half moon, or one-quarter moon. It depends on how sweet you want your coffee to taste. They also sell their coffee in 1 pound bags. Most of it is around $10 or $12 per bag. Velvet Blaze is one of our favorites. They also have pastries and breakfast tacos that are available for purchase throughout the day. If you fall in love with the place, you can buy T-shirts, cups, hats etc. Bottom line-An absolute wonderful coffee shop that gives proprietors a different option than Starbucks. The moon milk they put in their lattes is awesome. I've also had a moontado and regular cortado. The regular cortado was certainly my least favorite. I normally love cortados, but the cortado I received had way too much milk foam and it was really hot (cortados are supposed to be less hot than lattes). The ambiance is nice. I love the lighting and the interior design. The service is always great. The baristas are so nice. One time I even got a latte art heart on my to-go summer moon latte. read more
