I was there yesterday and the two friendly female staff members were incredibly helpful. They recommended the Spanish Latte with a splash of Pandan and it was GOOD! The menu offers a variety of unique drinks like their Black Label coffees that are made with charcoal. I'll definitely be back to try one of those! Didn't realize this store was inside HEB when my GPS routed me here. Luckily, I needed to grab a few things so I enjoyed being able to sip my coffee while I shopped. The staff were very friendly and informative. They have a creative menu that includes items like charcoal and pandan. The pastries looked fresh and delicious, although I didn't try any. Friendly service and good coffee. I appreciated the quick chit chat about coffee and matcha with the manager. He was super accommodating and always had a genuine smile during our conversation. I ordered an Americano. It's about what you expect from a medium to dark roast! I like how the location is within an HEB. Super convenient way to enjoy a quality drink while shopping. Because it's within a grocery store though, you don't really get that coffee shop feel or vibe (though understandably, that's not why people would go to this location). Wonderful staff! The Asian guy was very polite & helped me decide on what to get since it was my first time ordering. The chorizo & egg breakfast taco is great, made in a flour tortilla. The hot salsa it comes with has a nice kick too! The black matcha latte is earthy & smooth with no weird artificial aftertaste, and it's not too sweet either. A perfect mild grass flavor (ordered with coconut milk). It was a bit grainy- like a fine sand, but expected with the charcoal. I also ate dirt as a kid, so it doesn't phase me. After our 2 years going here, they know our names, even when we call on. Once you go here, you won't be able to do those large chains. It's simple ingredients, but soooo good! Coffee is so good! I got the Iced Montblanc (charcoal powder, cocoa nibs, vanilla, milk, espresso) and til this day I am still thinking about this coffee. It's not too sweet, and you can still actually taste the coffee. My husband got the Iced Caramel Macchiato and he said the same thing! The caramel wasn't overpowering the coffee. We also got some fresh coffee beans to grind at home and one of the workers had recommended the Pan Pacificopeia which are the exact beans they use for their drinks. I will say, even the beans are exceptional! Will be returning whenever we're back in town! read more

Interesting placement of this establishment tucked along an entry/exit way of a super market. $5+ for 16oz is pretty average rate for standalone spots like this. Coffee was generally okay. Good flavor. Just enough cream/half and half. What I didn't like was all the coffee sediment at the bottom. read more

I didn't realize this was here, but hidden gem! The California Dreaming Lemonade was Amazing Its house made lemonade not store bought The iced white mocha latte was good once you stirred it up. Its pretty but you gotta mix it. I used oatmilk and it was better than Starbucks! So creamy and smooth. They had samples of the Island Coffee and it was good too! Prices are not bad - $5 for lemonade, and $6 for coffee (plus $0.90 for milk alternative) I will definitely be back to try the Texas Rising (grapefruit & lemonade) Young lady behind the counter seemed to really like her job, had good knowledge base as we asked a lot of questions about each drink. I like how they have pictures to help you decide instead of a list of names. Im very visual and that's what caught our attention for the lemonade. A few months ago they had a drive called the shooting star and it was this mix of lavender and cream and it was so good. My daughter and I got it a few times when shopping at HEB. It's not a coffee drink, it was just so pretty with the sparkles too. I have gotten the chia iced a few times and it's good too, they offer a few non dairy options like coconut milk and almond milk. It's a nice way to keep my daughter from complaining while I'm shopping for sure. read more

Unfortunately I ordered from them early this morning, and ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches and 3 coffee drinks. The drinks were delicious! My two friends ordered bacon egg danish and liked it. However, one bite into my sausage cheese sandwich it tasted extremely foul. I opened the sandwich and was exposed to mold all over the bread and sausage. It tasted horrible and smelled like garbage. Im not sure how they inspect their food or check it often. But the way the entire food was molded it's no way their food is prepared same day. It's as if they leave it out and reheat it. I wouldn't trust the food and just solely their drinks which again were great. But this was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I did get a refund from but still damage was done, I already chewed a piece and gagged. I could have seriously got food poisoning if I swallowed anything. read more

Luce Ave has been one of my favorite coffee shops from the city. So happy that they opened one in Katy, let alone conveniently inside H-E-B! I hope that we may start to see Luce Ave popping up in other neighborhood H-E-Bs as well, because it's that great. The Island Latte has been a solid favorite of ours to get here- if you love Pandan and coconut flavors, this is the latte for you. Recently, they have a seasonal latte called the Blossom Latte- oat milk latte with local honey and lavender, which is delicious and interestingly tastes just like Fruity Pebbles! I love how creative and unique their lattes are, and the service is always friendly at every Luce Ave location, they are even so thoughtful to write kind messages on your cups. Nestled within an HEB, all my Houston friends have been telling me about this place, they call it the "best coffee ever." And they weren't wrong. I got the Mont Blanc and it was a mocha with charcoal, and it was delicious. Coffee was brewed well, and with a slight sweetness (not too much, just nice) from the cocoa; you can't really taste the charcoal. It was more than 6$ but a good portion. My favorite drink it's the island coffee, which is the pandan drink without the black (charcoal). I'm not a huge fan of the charcoal, so I opted for this instead. I can't wait to try more flavors!!
