I love it here! The service is so friendly. I get the jade (pandan) every time it's sooo yummie! I got the ube at first but the pandan is the best one yet.
I saw on instagram how ppl were saying they've waited an additional 30 mins after ordering. I was thinking they exaggerated but was told the same when I arrived by other guest. The line moved fairly well since it was after 12pm. I decided to try out two drinks since I live a good distance away and I wasn't sure I'd be back anytime soon. When I ordered the employee let me know it'd be 15-20 mins. I got a chocolate croissant it was underwhelming. Not moist, chocolate to croissant ratio seemed off. I came for the speculoos and selected the jet black as well based on the reviews. I was tempted to try the jade but one of the baristas who loves both let me know it's very sweet compare to the others I was interested in. Both drinks were good. I do think the sesame is a more complex flavor especially if you like to actually taste your coffee. I would try the jade and ube drink I think it's called purple stuff; whenever I'm back on that side.
I went on a Saturday so there was a line. It goes quickly and staff is friendly. This is easily one of my favorite matcha/coffee shops in Houston. There's limited seating inside as it is a very popular shop so it's better to grab and go. The drinks I got were perfect. I will be back!
My first time trying Two Tone Coffee and I'm honestly very torn with this review because the coffee itself was really good and clearly well made. You can tell they care about quality, and I absolutely understand why this place stays busy. That being said, the wait time was very long. I waited about 30 minutes from the time I ordered to actually receiving my coffee, and this was on a Wednesday around 10 a.m. I'm not sure if that's their normal flow, but it was packed. Thankfully I didn't have anywhere to be, because if you're stopping in before work or during a tight schedule, definitely plan ahead and expect a wait. The only real downside for me was the timing and ordering process. Spending close to $10 on one coffee plus waiting that long makes this feel more like an occasional treat rather than an everyday coffee run. I'll admit I may have been a little cranky from the wait, but I do think it's fair feedback. Overall though, my coffee was delicious, and because of that, I would absolutely give them another chance. Good things take time, I guess.

Service can be a little slow given how busy they get, and there's very little seating inside, so it's very much a grab and go type of setup. There's a pastry/snack menu but those also cost another $8-$10 so you can easily drop $20+ here for a quick breakfast. Overall we enjoyed what we ordered, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to revisit. FOOD & DRINK RATINGS: - Sausage and cheese kolache (not pictured, 4/5): Good but not worth the $10+. - The Oki matcha (3.5/5): Creamy and smooth, but really nothing out of the ordinary good matcha. - Jade (4/5): Too sweet for my preference, but pandan flavor is good.
First of all, their ube cream is pretty good, and their service was actually pretty great. But I knocked down 2 stars because one, their ambiance is just not it. It's just too basic and gave a quick grab and go coffee shop, and it didn't feel inviting to just sit and chill there. And it almost feels like you can't/shouldn't because of such limited seating. Two, they don't have decaf and they were really confused when I went a little off-script from the menu. I wanted double shot of espresso over ice with the purple stuff. She asked me if i wanted any milk, and if i wanted to cream on the side. I asked for extra extra ice, but i still got a little cup with just regular amount of ice. I moved here from out of state, and I didn't know going off-script for coffee was that complicated until i moved here.

Went again the next weekend, and was still met with the same disappointment minus the 20 minute wait! The overall aesthetics, vibe, and ambiance doesn't really match my vibe. When you walk in, there are barely any places to sit. Two tops and a seating area on one wall is more of a "waiting area." There's always a line and a wait. They have all these staff members but somehow there's always a wait. The ambiance is cold, and uninviting. Very industrial and not cozy at all. On the other hand, it feels like a club for Gen Z'ers, with staff dressed with crop tops and no apron...idk just very informal and not really connecting with the patrons. Def does not give "community's vibes and screams casual. Now to the coffee: coffee is one note! They try to embellish the menu by adding all these Asian flavors, pandan, cafe su da, ube, and even an Einspanner, but there was nothing special about their ube latte. It def was not worth the hype, the wait, and the overall experience. Literally tasted loke ube cream with cheap coffee at a party. Def will not be returning here after all that I encountered. They really need to make more of an effort to connect with patrons and make their coffee shop more warm and inviting! And if you don't want patrons to stay and have a place to sit, move to an underground food hall where it's just a walk up vibe or open up at a park!
The best black sesame latte in Houston. I'm always looking for black sesame flavored drinks ever since I tried it in Seattle, so I was excited that TwoTone had it. The nuttiness of the sesame goes SOOO well with the espresso taste and it's a good creaminess too. I also like the texture of the bits of sesame seeds in the drink. The aesthetic of the cafe is modern with street-style flairs, it's a really cool space. I also love that there are Filipino flavors on the menu like ube and pandan. Most workers are super nice and say your name like they know you. They're also super attentive to ensure that everything with your order is perfect. Jonah was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we got a menu while in line! The weekdays seem to be better for wait-time, with little to no wait. The weekends however are packed and usually have lines. If you're not a line person, I would definitely come on a weekday. TwoTone is probably the best specialty coffee you can get in Houston, especially in terms of Asian flavors and creaminess. If it was closer to inner Houston, I would probably come here everyday.

I really like the modern, minimalistic vibe here. Merch on the left and seating on the right (both high tops and benched seating along the wall). Ube cream layering was very light and airy but did take quite a lot of effort to mix with the viet coffee which was VERY strong. Ube flavor was very subtle but overall was a good blend. I found the service to be very quick and efficient, churning through the long list of orders they have pretty well. Update: I've been back a few time since my initial visit and the coffee is very consistent. I've tried different flavors each time and they have all been excellent. I completely understand the rave reviews. :)
If you're in Houston and love coffee, you have to check this place out. The baristas know wtf they're doing here. The drinks consistently taste the same. The streetwear aesthetic alone makes it stand out, but what really keeps me coming back is the quality of the drinks. Everything I've tried so far is 10/10! I can genuinely taste the difference. Their specialty flavors are so unique and actually well-balanced (not overly sweet like a lot of places). 10/10 recommend.

The jade had pandan cream and the purple stuff and Ube cream. It was pretty packed when we went and drink took a while to come out but understandable considering the line.
This place lived up to the hype! I've been watching the reviews through social media and was excited to be in the area for an errand today. There was parking around but I did have to drive around. I went on a Friday at noon and there was only a short line. Inside, most people were waiting for drinks and there were very much to go vibes. I don't think I would want to sit and chat inside due to how busy it was. However, it was very cool inside and the merch was cool as well! I got a seasonal cookie butter milk latte with maple cold foam and cookie pieces on top and it was delicious. It was pretty sweet but they have options that do not look as sweet for those who like a more traditional coffee taste. Service was quick and the workers were friendly, especially impressive considering how busy they all were! I will definitely be back.
The drinks here are so good but they lean very sweet and indulgent. Also be prepared to wait upwards of 30-40 min for your drink if you come anytime on a weekend or Friday. I've learned for the best experience is to stop on my way to work in the mornings on weekdays. But have yet to have a drink I didn't enjoy, the einspanner, jade, and corn specials were some of my faves.

The aesthetics are nice, but the drinks were a little mixed. Some friends said the following about their drinks: - Banana Matcha: too sweet - Golden kernel: too salty and doesn't really taste like corn at all. - Einspanner: the coffee used was too burnt but better after it was mixed - Cashmere: too sweet and a little smaller than the other drinks I had the Jet Black, which is a latte with black sesame foam, and I loved it, but that might be because I really like the roasted flavor black sesame in anything if my review were based only on my drink, I would have given this a 5, but taking the other drinks into account, it pulled the rating down. read more

I have been seeing this place all over social media so I finally decided to give it a try. Really strong and flavorful coffee with subtle flavorings added that doesn't take too much away from the actual coffee. The ube cold foam was absolutely divine. The Vietnamese style coffee was good but might've been way too rich for me. Worth a try! read more

Definitely a good stop! Had been hearing about their matcha for a while and finally decided to give it a try. Parking is very limited, seating is limited, and the menu is as well. Service was great! There was a mixup in our orders as someone took ours on accident and they quickly and politely fixed the issue! It was a rainy day so maybe that didn't help, but the shop itself seemed very dull, the drinks were good but I would probably only swing by again if in the area. read more

Inconvenient to get to and the doors are frosted on the front, making the entrance feel very unwelcoming. 5 people behind the bar, one person in line and nobody greets you when you walk in. When it was my turn to order, I said "good morning, how are you?" and she cut me off to ask what I wanted. There was nobody behind me and no offer to explain the very limited menu. I ordered an $8.00 jade latte and stepped off to wait. The drink was good, and the only reason for 3 stars. The vibes are very sterile, with concrete/black accents and limited seating, but no bar hand off area. This is really just giving new "cool guy/girl" mid day coffee shop. Probably great if you're ONLY looking for coffee to go. They don't have much by the way of food, and there's not much available seating to sit and enjoy. read more

We got there and the line was so long but so worth the wait. We live in Conroe and went to the Galleria to shop. Will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend if you're in the area. read more
I've had Twotone on my bucket list for so long, and I finally got to visit! The shop was vibey and quite busy, without much seating or room to chat on the Sat morning I stopped by. If you come on a weekend, just be prepared for a 40 minute wait to get your coffee after you've ordered (noted from personal experience). I got the Aoi matcha (banana milk and matcha) with vanilla cold foam, which was absolutely delicious! Good amount of banana flavor, and a rich matcha taste as well. Maybe not as creamy of a matcha as I prefer, but was still a great drink. My friend got the einspanner, which was also delicious with a deep roasted flavor! We also tried the pandan coffee, which was beautiful and very strong in its pandan flavors. I think next time, I'll go for a coffee instead of a matcha. Ultimately, it was such a fun experience to try all their unique flavors and I can't wait to come back! read more
Decided to get some coffee on a Saturday morning around 10AM and wow, this place was packed. There wasn't a long line to order, but a very long line to wait for your drink. It almost seemed like they were giving away drinks with how packed it was! I waited about 20-30 minutes for the drinks. I ordered the aoi matcha (with a vanilla cream top) and a black sesame espresso drink. I had kept my expectations low, but I was pleasantly surprised how great the drinks came out. I looooved the matcha! I usually don't prefer sweet drinks, but the banana milk and matcha combo was delightful! The black sesame flavor was subtle, and I wished it was stronger. I kept on coming back to the matcha, and I usually do not order matchas at coffee shops since I tend not to taste the flavor of matcha. But if you're going to order any drink here, I would go for the matcha drinks. I don't know if the vanilla cream top (for the matcha) was extra, but both drinks came out to be $17. Kind of odd to know they operate like a fancy restaurant with no prices on the menu, but it seems like that business model is doing well because people are willing to drop $$$ on a pick-me-up drink. Overall, I would come back!..... earlier to avoid the crowds. read more

The coffee is 10/10, one of the best in Houston for sure, staff is super helpful navigating the menu. We both loved our drinks, we got the Einspanner and Creme Noir. The parking sucks, -1/10 its in a shopping center and its busy so it makes finding a spot super challenging. I would recommend parking in front of UPS or on that side of the shopping center. There is extremely limited seating, its more of a grab and go place but I like that so didn't both me. It's definitely worth the wait, we will be back for sure but we may aim to go during the week to avoid the weekend crowd! read more
Qualify espresso! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was very good. The customer service also was great. The baristas were busy (it gets very packed) yet they still constantly greeted the new customers coming inside. Now I will say, get there early or only come if you have time to wait. It took maybe 20 minutes for my drink to be ready but it was understandable, it was very busy and the line did not end. It's just something to note because sometimes with coffee people like to just come in an out. It was mostly a younger crowd there and limited seating. It is also pretty loud to study read more

Loveeee the matcha latte w added sweetener and jade/pandan creme. Don't love the Okinawa matcha - the brown sugar is very gritty, and the matcha here is already pretty gritty. Really good vibes here as well. Just don't come if you're in a hurry, the baristas are super friendly and love having convos :) read more

Excellent espresso! The signature drinks here are very dessert forward but you can still taste the strength and quality of the coffee beans which I truly appreciate. The pandan foam and ube foam are absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and will be back to try more! read more
I've been wanting to try this place for quite awhile, but never seemed to make it at a good time or they were closed. My wife was in the area and decided to pick some up for us. Since I'm on an Ube latte kick, "that purple stuff" was my choice. Not too strong , not overly sweet. The ube cream was excellent...combining it all - I loved it!!! Probably better than a few other places I've been too lately, in regard to Ube coffee drinks. The combination was just perfect at two tone. Coffee was still good in the 30min ride back. Will be back if I'm ever in the area. read more

Aesthetic and yummy coffee spot. I came for the Pandan, Black Sesame, and Ube on the menu. The Jade was sooooo good!!! Coming back before we leave just for it. The pandan milk is a game changer. The Jet Black is also good if you enjoy black sesame but I found myself wanting the Jade much more for a sweet coffee. There was a line but they got through us pretty fast. read more
I've been to Twotone a handful of times already, and it hits every single time. You can tell the owners and employees are knowledgeable about their menu and craft each drink carefully and consistently, which is why I don't mind paying $9-10 for a drink here. Their menu offers mostly coffee-based drinks, but I've heard the matcha options they have are just as good. I will say all of the drinks I've had (similar to the ones pictured) are all on the more heavy side with a lot of creaminess and sweetness to them. Parking is pretty tough here since the strip they are located on is quite narrow and competes with the other businesses. The interior design of the place is also very unique to the area with a blend of street-style/contemporary modern vibes. Seating is not super plentiful and all of their tables sit 2 people at most. I've mostly seen people just stop here to-go or meet with a friend to chat, not a very WFH/study suitable place. It gets pretty busy here on the weekends, so come here during the week for a quieter experience maybe? read more

One of the best coffee shop in Houston. I got the Jade & it was so good. If you like pandan, I highly recommend getting it. The coffee isn't bitter & the drink was not too sweet. The only thing is that they don't have their prices listed on the menu & the drinks are a bit pricey, but worth it. The customer service was good. The worker explained the menu & gave us some recommendations. When my friend accidentally spilled her drink & they happily remade her a new one. The space is very spacious, but had a limited sitting. It's a great place to catch up with friends, but not a good space to study at since it can get loud when it's busy. Overall, I would come back again to try their other drinks. read more

Met up with my friend for coffee, and she suggested this place. Funny enough, I drive past it every day on my way to work and never noticed it, but now it's definitely going to be my new favorite stop before work! The coffee was amazing. I got the Speculoos, and OMG, it was so good! If they offered it hot, I think it would be even better, but either way, it was delicious. The café itself is super cute and cozy. It was busy when we went, which tells me it's a popular spot to just relax and vibe out. The atmosphere was perfect, not too noisy, easy to have a conversation, and the music was a great mix of chill tunes. When I walked in, I was greeted by Josh, who was so friendly and attentive. He even remembered my friend's name and used both of our names again at the end of the transaction when he thanked us. That kind of personal touch really stands out. The staff was great overall, customer service was definitely a 10/10. I'll for sure be back. Only downfall: a lady walked in with her dog. I really wish people would leave their pets at home or in the car, because they don't need to be inside a place where food is being served, it's completely unsanitary. Other than that, everything was great, and I'll definitely be back. read more
The name is just so incredibly fitting without being nauseatingly 'cute.' I have a strong suspicion that this location formerly was Pura Coffee (RIP). The drinks are in fact, two-toned. The foam or whip on top is DELICIOUS. This place can be diet friendly but expect to cheat if you're coming for a drink. The 'Jade' was an iced latte with pandan and it was both aesthetically gorgeous, and tasty. The espresso used is not junky and low quality, which can sometimes be the case when adding more fluff to drinks. This is not the case here. The flavor was sweet, unique, and made me feel like I was on vacation. My friend is dairy-free and she was able to get either a refresher or the corn Iced Latte with coconut milk/creamer. She enjoyed it but said it was very sweet FYI. My other friend tried the matcha with Ube whip and wow, what a gorgeous drink. The line was about 20 minutes on a Sunday morning and there isn't a lot of space inside with no outdoor seating, but we got lucky and found a table within a few minutes of receiving our drink. read more

Twotone is our new favorite coffee shop and we visit every week. It's always popping, and for good reason. While the main draw is the creative and flavorful homemade creams/syrups they add to each signature drink (for good reason!), the quality of the beans they use (Blend-In Coffee Club) and skill in brewing precisely ensure that even the standard espresso and pourover come out fantastic. Whether you're a coffee snob or prefer a sweet creamy drink, you will enjoy your drink here. Just don't be alarmed that each signature drink costs about $8 - for the quality, it is worth it! The vibe is very sleek and stylish, and a bit of a street aesthetic from their clothing which they also sell. Store seems to always be pretty packed, but at least a little seating is usually available as most people pop in and out pretty quickly. Employees are helpful and cool. We've tried a lot of the menu and highly recommend the Jade, banana milk latte (with matcha or espresso), and that purple stuff. If you like something a little quirky and creative but good, try the sweet roasted corn latte. If you like pourovers, they do it incredibly well with great quality beans from Blendin coffee club. We look forward to trying out the rest of their menu and seeing what exciting new creations they concoct in the future. read more

My first visit was a 1star but I gave it a second try because a friend asked me to. I was told that this was an amazing new coffee shop and just happened to be on my route to work. It's off the feeder road of I-10 and in an inconspicuous place. It's a retail space and at first glance it looks empty and kind of shady granted, I was there around 7 AM. It may be busier and more lively later in the day or on weekends. In any case I pulled up and I saw their sign, but I was kind of concerned that it was closed because you couldn't see through the windows and again the parking lot just looked empty . I went to the door and went in. It's a very minimalist space and the decor of cold concrete floors matched the attitude and personalities of the people working that day. I was never graded, and there were a couple people sitting, waiting for coffees... There was no menu to be seen at first glance but I have a very simple order that I had in my mind because I like espresso and not sweet sugary drinks. I walked up to the register and there was a young girl who just looked at me like I was bothering her her by being in front of her. She never smiled, and she just waited for me to order. I told her good morning and she replied "Morning"...barely opened her mouth, not welcoming (or sincerity) and no smile. My order was simple.: three shots of espresso, 2 ounces of half-and-half and caramel drizzle mixed in the espresso. She looked at me weird and said ...so you want a latte? I said no not at all because I only want 2 ounces of half-and-half. I don't want all the milk of a latte. She didn't look down at the computer and kind of looked behind at a barista, and then looked back at the computer and said we do our shots in doubles .... Meaning she wouldn't give me only three shots I had to buy four. I thought that was interesting since other local shops indulge me without an issue, but I agreed to four shots. She asked me if that was it and I said yes..... I was very surprised but paid over $10 for my order of one drink! I paid because honestly, I was already ready to get out. I paid and I waited about 15 minutes for my coffee, even though there was only one person waiting for their coffee before me. I got my drink and left before tasting it. It was awful. The pull was not done well and the coffee tasted almost sour. Ugh. I was so disappointed. The very next day, my coworker said give it another try maybe it was just an off day . She also said she'd buy my coffee to make up for it so I couldn't turn that down This time I went a little bit later there was about three people in line before me. They had a lot more staff working probably about five people in total versus three the previous day. There was a different girl to front who took my order and was the total opposite of the lady the day before; bright eyed, kind and very welcoming. My coffee was still over $10 and this time it took me 35 minutes to get my coffee. I don't know if they had DoorDash orders or what, but I couldn't understand why there was a lot more workers and it took double the time to get my coffee. Once I got my coffee, it did taste better than my first visit, but still had a little bit of sour taste... Not as much as before though. Even if it ended up tasting better, I could not validate paying $10 for my coffee and waiting up to 35 minutes for it.. Especially when I can go to any of my other local coffee shops that I normally frequent for a less than $5 coffee (that only has three shots that I want) and the great service and flavor is always consistent. I never want to see any business fail. So I hope that the owners will discuss the importance of consistency in making their product, as well as being hospitable. There are so many coffee shops in Houston that one could choose from. read more
Delicious coffee!! Lots of interesting flavor options. Keep in mind the price is not stated on the menu that they give you. There is a parking lot, but it can get full quick. The place was packed. There is little seating, but most people seem to grab and go. I don't see this place as a study cafe.... more like a catching up with friends cafe lol I'm in love with their pandan foam. Would definitely come back for more! read more
Twotone is ELITE. My favorite is the Jade - espresso with Pandan foam. If you love coconut and vanilla, this drink is for you! The topping of the Pandan mixed with a perfect balance of smooth espresso is insanely delicious. Service is also 10/10- they see so many people a day, and somehow they still remember you. If you're new, they are super kind and will walk you through the menu. I haven't tried any of the pastries yet, but I know they sell Love Crossiants so they have to be fire. Ambiance is great, however there are not that many tables/seating areas. Something to note if you plan to WFH here. Overall, love this place and hoping they open more locations (maybe sugar land/richmond?!) :) read more
