I'm usually a HIGE tenfold lover. However today's visit with my wife was very disappointing. We both ordered vanilla lattes. What we received was room temp at best, milk foam was very loose with nothing but huge bubbles (not silky at all) and no latte art that is the norm. It tasted "okay" but highly diluted with little coffee flavor. We will be back but hope the trainees (I'm hoping that is what happened today) aren't let lose on the customers until they can meet your standards going forward. read more

Came to study the other day because we've been planning on trying it out. This place has been a long standing popular spot around Houston but I think it may not be up my alley. I think the drinks were ok, we had a latte and americano. They were good but I feel like I've had better and a bit more flavorful drinks. We did get flavored drinks but I feel like the coffee was all I really tasted. And at that I wish the coffee was a bit more aromatic. There are a good amount of seats and a good sized parking lot. I believe some of the tables had plugs and there was really good natural light. All the baristas were also so nice and friendly. One thing that did bother me were some bugs that were going around. I personally enjoy the ambiance here quite a bit with their industrial style atmosphere and large community table in the middle. I've found this to be one of my favorite places to read my books. Roughly ~3 large tables, one large community table in the middle, one high circular table, 4 bar-style seats along their counter, and a few smaller tables are available for seating. Pictured in this review - Fall 2025 seasonal drinks- Black rice horchata (traditional horchata made with forbidden rice) - very sweet as one would expect! Cornaccino (cappuccino + corn caramel syrup) - for those who love sweet coffee, they'll love this! Pumpkin spice latte - very light sweetness, you'll definitely taste the spice however! Probably the drink I like best on their Fall 2025 seasonal drink menu. They roast their own beans and are pretty prominent in the coffee community! There is another location located downtown so downtown folks might be more familiar with this location. They have partnered with Paper Co. Cafe and I also believe the 'Switchyards Houston'. This is my go to spot when I'm working on the Northside-ish of town. The coffee is really good (vanilla iced latte) and the mini vanilla scones are the perfect treat!! Staff greet you but not up for small talk really. Seating is like the hunger games, so get ready. The patio is also always booming as well. One of my favorite parts of this shop is the hat merch. The seating is first come first serve so if you come on the weekend it does get busy. They do have a parking lot but that fills up fast so be prepared for street parking. Good coffee! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor but really packed. Came around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and the lot was full, and street parking was also full. They bring your drinks to you, waited maybe 10 minutes or so for my order to be fulfilled. Alternative milk is $0.95 and syrup is $0.75 . Default tip settings are higher. Came in December and they were playing Christmas music and decorated the space well. Personally would be too loud for me to work here. Dog friendly! Went here twice during a recent visit to Houston. They were busy and vibrant both times, but I didn't have trouble finding a seat. On one visit, I had their house espresso and a pour over. The house espresso was good, chocolate-y with some berry notes and quite sweet. The pour over, an anaerobic from Brazil, was also quite good, but perhaps a little on the bitter side. But I could tell it was a good coffee and would have bought some of their beans if not in the middle of a long trip. I also tried a special--a Brazilian anaerobic or natural (can't remember) pulled as an espresso served with a Brazilian lemonade. The espresso and the lemonade were both delicious on their own, but together were a great treat. On that visit, I also had their weekend drip (from Burundi, I think) and it was great. Tenfold Coffee will forever have a place in my heart. This place has saved me through my postpartum period after the birth of my first baby. We had just moved into the neighborhood in early 2024 and I was very excited to have a coffee shop within walking distance. After my baby was born, I found it difficult to leave my home and was unsure of how to navigate life with a newborn. I forced myself to take daily walks, and since Tenfold was nearby, I had easy access to caffeine for my sleep deprived self. There was a point during my maternity leave that I was here almost every single day; whether it be grabbing something to go or hanging out on the patio with my newborn. It helped that the staff was very friendly and even some of them already knew my order. Thank you Tenfold for being there when I needed you the most! Going onto the actual review, Tenfold has excellent coffee. They even roast their own beans where you can purchase it for yourself. My typical go to is an iced/hot decaf mocha latte with pistachio milk. Instead of almond milk, they use pistachio milk as a milk alternative. On the weekend, they have two different taco trucks that come on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. There is also a spacious outdoor patio with a covering for more seating if the inside gets full. They also offer coffee classes throughout the day! Overall Tenfold Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops and I love that it's located in my neighborhood. I love the industrial style that coffee shops in Houston do. It's comforting for some reason lol. One thing that I GREATLY appreciated was the amount of parking that they had. Would I consider this open concept? If I knew the full definition of what it meant I would say yes. Off to the right side coming in they are roasting the coffee, not behind glass and not somewhere hidden in the back which I thought was super cool. There's plenty of space for you to sit and study or do some remote work. For the people with dogs, they have a dog patio available with some shade so that's really nice too. I always start with the basics when I order my coffee: an iced honey latte. Was it good? yes. It was standard, nothing crazy and nothing bizarre. I think it had a bar available off to the left side? Either that or it was for tea. I will say for the area (aka the heights) The price off the coffee was fair IMO. I didn't spend an arm and a leg on it. I look forward to trying it again! read more

Intro: I stopped by Tenfold Coffee for a meeting in the afternoon on a Friday. Located close to Johnny's Gold Brick in The Heights, they have a parking lot. It was busy but I was able to find a spot. Ambiance (2.5/5): Compared to other coffee shops, Tenfold Coffee is a pretty large coffee shop. Though it was almost full while we were there. They have a lot of seating on bar stools without back support which is always a no-go for me. I like to be comfortable. The seating, generally speaking, wasn't comfortable. We sat at a table with regular chairs and my butt started to hurt after a while. Since people tend to linger at coffee shops, comfortable accommodations are important. Service (2.5/5): Like most coffee shops, you order at the counter. They only accept credit cards which annoyed me a bit. I had been planning to pay cash. It's cash y'all! Which should be accepted everywhere. Food (N/A): They have various pastries and some hot items too (including tequenos which is pretty awesome) but I didn't try any food on this visit. Drinks (3.5/5): While the menu focuses almost entirely on coffee, they do have a couple of tea options. I went with an iced white tea. I wish they had some additional fruit options like smoothies outside of prepackaged drinks. Overall: When I stopped by, seeing the surroundings, I realized that I had been there many years prior. One visit to Tenfold Coffee was enough for me to rank it among my top 5 favorite coffee shops in Houston. My friend and I came on Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. It has its own large private parking lot, which is rare in the Heights area. The inside is spacious and has a lovely ambiance with all of the plants. You also have a sneak peek on how they roast their coffee beans. We ordered the vanilla latte and it was one of the best lattes I've had.
