Mango Raja and Golap Jamun Latte
Melodi D.

Saw Moharani pop up on a my Instagram a few weeks ago, and was instantly intrigued! This is the first time I have seen a Bangladeshi coffee shop in Houston. The interior of the shop is super cute, decorated in pinks and greens and browns. The barista was one of the owners, and she was very nice! She made conversation while my friend and I were deciding what to get and broke down some of the menu items for us. I ended up getting the Mango Raja, and my friend got the Golap Jamun latte. Both of them were incredible! The matcha flavor in the Mango Raja was not super strong, but it was so silky, and I like that they added extra matcha powder on top of the foam (because I personally love the taste of matcha). And the mango they used were real chunks of mango. There wasn't much additional sweetener, which allowed the mango flavor to really pop. The Golap Jamun latte was so rich, and it actually tasted like coffee, which I appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend this place! I look forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu. :)

I stopped by Moharani Coffee House for Matcha Monday and had such a great experience! I tried the Moharani Matcha, which is their rose-flavored matcha, and I absolutely loved it. The rose flavor was noticeable without being overpowering, and it paired really well with the matcha. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee house itself has a really cute and relaxing atmosphere, making it a nice spot to sit and enjoy your drink. The service was friendly, and everything about my visit was enjoyable. I'm always looking for unique matcha flavors, and this one definitely stood out. I'd come back again to try more of their menu!

Cute little coffee shop in the Galleria area. It is a india forward coffee shop that provides cultural inspired beverages plus the traditional coffee beverages you're used to. I ordered the turmeric maple latte yum! This was made to perfection and I loved the kick of the turmeric. It wasn't too sweet and hit the spot for my caffeine fix. The barista was kind and super helpful. Do check this place out if you're in the area

Passport Session DJ Event had a pop up session at Moharani Coffee, so of course I had to stop in for the vibes and coffee! The coffee was great! We tried the Golap Jamun Latte and the Mishti Madness, and both were delicious. The Golap Jamun Latte was definitely my favorite and a must try. The ambiance at Moharani Coffee is super cute, bright, and spacious. The baristas were also wonderful and so friendly. Of course the DJ session was FIRE!!! If you haven't experienced one yet, you should definitely look them up and check out these amazing DJs. The energy was everything! Went for the music, grabbed a coffee, stayed for the vibes, and got the chance to met a few new people. All in all a terrific experience.

There's a (relatively) new coffee house in town, and it is a goodie. Moharani Coffee House opened a few months ago in the Tanglewood area. If you read online or ask those in the establishment, they'll tell you the coffee is Bangladeshi-inspired. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about Bangladeshi-inspired coffee, but (at least in my opinion) I do know about good taste. This place has it. When I first came to Moharani about a month ago, I tried the Mango Raja - Moharani's version of the mango matcha latte. This honestly may be one of the best drinks I've ever had anywhere. And it's made with great care. I was at Moharani with a host of friends and I noticed the Mango Raja took the longest to make. When they serve it, the presentation is also top notch with the mango puree on the bottom - I like the puree version because the chunks are tiny and goes well with the drink as opposed to large mango chunks. You'll see it in my picture. The super kind workers there recommended I give the drink a good stir before I drink it. So I did, and oh my goodness. Yes I'll be back for this. But also when I was there, one of my friends ordered the Dhakamisu, which is a tiramisu latte, complete with a ladyfinger with the drink. If you enjoy tiramisu, which I do, this drink can be addicting, and my friend who ordered it, along with several others who messaged me upon seeing I visited Moharani, have similar very complimentary sentiments. So I knew that, before I wrote a review on Moharani, I needed to try the Dhakamisu myself. Today, I did. And yes, it lived up to the hype. That said, because I am very much a mango person, as evidenced by some of my previous reviews, the Mango Raja will likely be my top drink of choice at Moharani. Parking hasn't been problem whenever I've gone - Moharani is part of a plaza. The vibes are also super laid-back and chill with plenty of seating tables and also a few tables outside. Service is super friendly. And if you have any questions, they are more than willing to answer. I'm a big fan! This place is top notch in my book and well worth the trip. I'm actually still thinking of that Mango Raja right now as I type all this out.

Great service - the ladies are so kind and helpful. There are plenty of drink options that tasted really good. The place is also really great for studying

Cute coffee shop and the barista was very friendly. Located in a plaza so easy parking. I tried the matcha w/ rose and it was good - a bit pricy but on par with matcha pricing elsewhere.

More like 4.5 for me. But my tiramisu latte was absolutely delicious! My husband really enjoyed his cortado as well. I also ordered the almond croissant, and it was very well made. I especially appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, which let the flavors shine through. The coffee and pastries were definitely the highlight of our visit, and the interior was beautiful and inviting. My only suggestion would be to pay a bit more attention to the dining area. Several tables remained uncleared after guests had left, which took away from the overall atmosphere and made the space feel less polished than it could be. A little more attention to keeping the tables clean would make it even more welcoming for customers who want to sit and enjoy their coffee. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would happily return for the coffee and pastries!

Was in the area doing some shopping and wanted a quick stop for coffee when we found this shop! Upon entry you see their story which only made me more excited to try the unique drinks. The matcha was delicious. I see why it's a favorite, not too sweet, not too strong, very smooth and the mango complimented it well. The latte was also so good, we took the baristas recommendation and she nailed it! The area inside is a bit small and parking is a bit limited but not terrible. There's also seats outside and they have board games for you to pass time with, overall I would enjoy coming again.

Beautiful albeit small space. The drinks are unique and decadently delicious. Got a stuffed chocolate chip cookie that was incredible and a sausage kolache (klebnasch, I know, calm down) that was somehow top 5 best I've ever had?!!

Mango sticky rice matcha

To wait over 15min on a Tuesday because the workers were too busy making drinks for their social media page is absurd. On top of being it only one size for the matcha and it came out to be $11 as well is crazy!! I ordered the mango sticky rice and there was no rice??? Just coconut shavings. If that's the case then please change the name because it's misleading. The mango and matcha itself was good though so had it not been for the wait and also price to portion ratio, they would've gotten a higher rating. Won't be back

Moharani Matcha Latte $8.00 Strawberry Matcha $8.25 Dhakamisu $9 Bf and i really enjoyed our strawberry matcha and Dhakamisu. The matcha is not too strong. It's very smooth. The strawberries at the bottom made the drink really good. At first the Dhakamisu was strong, but it was just the espresso on the bottom. After mixing, it was really good and not overly strong or bitter. I asked for less ice, but she said it would alter the proportions/ flavor. The drinks are not overly sweet either. I tasted my friend's matcha latte. It seemed like a pretty mild matcha, which is more of what I like versus the strong matcha. I did prefer our drinks over hers. Free parking in front, had no problems. They had DJs playing and henna tattoo artists. I got mine done for just $10 (shoutout to Jasmine)! It took about 20mins, which was fine because the drinks DO take awhile to come out. I don't blame them, it was packed.

This matcha it is REALLY yummy! Lovely place ....

New coffee shop and i loved it! Matcha was REALLY YUMMY, place is cute, owners are friendly 100% recommend!!!

Parking is a bit difficult at times as well from my experience. Cashmere - velvet espresso with caramel, so smooth and a little bit more on the sweeter side but is great! Aoi banana (not pictured) - this is probably my seasonal favorite right now that im hooked on. Matcha banana and its the perfect mix and my group's favorite. Reminds us of the banana milk cans we got back in japan. An absolute delight that ill probably keep getting til they rotate it out Tried their chairoi banana which is the espresso variant of the matcha verison and it's good but I think the matcha mixes much better with the bananas Yuki matcha - white chocolate matcha- I personally liked this one quite a bit but I can see it wouldn't be for everyone. It's quite sweet, think of regular sugar in a normal boba/tea drink. Mixes well with the matcha but I won't lie, the banana verison has me hooked more! Overall I like their coffee here and it's definitely in my coffee rotation so I would recommend it! Its also not far from memorial park so.. a great excuse after a run after melting in the sun

We heard good things about this coffee shop and were so happy that they stay open super late. When we went in, there were lots of people studying and working, on dates and playing board games, even late on Friday night. It's very spacious, beautiful and clean. They have a really big menu as well and some yummy looking treats. We were very full from dinner, so we were only wanting coffee, but we plan to go back very soon to try some of the treats. I am diabetic and eat a lower carb diet, but not super low carb. I did want a little bit of a treat, but not too sweet. The really sweet girl working at the counter was so kind to us and gave us recommendations. I also love that they have decaf options and the decaf is so smooth and tasty. I ended up getting the half sweet decaf pistachio latte and oh my goodness was it delicious. It was so so so good. We are actually planning to try to go back tonight and try some more things. My friend got the Strawberry Nirvana, and we both thought it tasted good, but it felt like there was no espresso in it. She is a former barista, and neither of us were satisfied. Our drinks were both $9 each, which seemed absurd for the size and quality. They were out of low fat milk, which is an option listed on the menu for no extra cost. They charge an extra $1 for all milk substitutes, even though the barista showed me in the fridge that it's just HEB brand milk that costs $4 for the whole carton. The menu is inaccurate because it says the Strawberry Nirvana comes with oat milk, but turns out you still have to pay extra for the milk. However, it was a great study environment with comfy seating and many people working, although there were no outlets I could see. They turned off the lights and turned it into a bar/club setting with loud music and a disco ball before 5pm.
