I ordered a peanut butter creama and it was sooo delicious! It has two shots of espresso, a peanut butter cream and milk. So yummy!! All of the staff was so friendly when I had questions about what to order or what ingredients were in which drinks etc. I love that there is community seating and individual smaller table seating. I will be back for sure!
This was such a great find! I tried a whipped expresso drink last week while out of town and have been craving another one. After researching a few coffee shops I stumbled upon Un Caffe's Einspanner and had to try it for myself. The coffee shop is located on Milam street towards the beginning of Midtown. I was nervous there would be parking issues but the lot next to the shop had a good amount of parking spots. The shop is very spacious, lots of seating and lots of decor, plants, artwork. Truly like a quintessential coffee shop. I ordered the Einspanner which was decently priced for a speciality drink $6.75. It comes iced and has 4 layers half and half, vanilla whipped cream, 2 shots of expresso with another whipped cream layering sprinkled with coco powder on top. I seen a lot of reviews mention how it's more desert than coffee but truly I thought it was perfect! The expresso gave me a great caffeine kick which I needed for my business day (with no crash in the afternoon). The drink wasn't too sweet either contrary to how it looks. Very subtle sweetness. This coffee shop also host lots of pop ups for other bakeries and vendors which is pretty neat too. LaBellexGrounds was hosting today so I tried a sample of a matcha, white chocolate cookie which was so delicious! I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop!
I am a fan of Un Caffè fluffy foam and tiramisu latte. I went back and ordered their Sesame latte it was just sesame flavor, no sweetness. I was curious about the sesame drink so I asked the barista what are the benefits, and the barista was rude and did not answer my question. Just reiterated it is sesame grounded to make a paste. Although I can tell from the name, he couldn't tell me why they sell this, if it is seasonal or for the health benefits etc. i didn't expect their service to be this way given my previous experience there. Spacious indoor with few seating, no outdoor seating available.
The space is cute and home-y, there's lots of people working or meeting in the space, plus there is really good natural lighting coming thru the store. The baristas are all very friendly and ensure that your drinks are customized to your preference! We ordered the miso caramel matcha, which was disappointing because I can tell they source their matchas carefully, but our drinks just tasted like milk and barely had any of the miso caramel flavor pulling through. Next time I'd probably just try the matcha einspanner or something else. However, the coffee einspanner was great, it was sweet, (very) creamy, and decadent. I enjoyed the drink and it's great for an afternoon pick me up.
I love Un Caffe! The shop is very cute, decorated with nice coffee-related books and posters. The drinks are creative and some are Asian-inspired, with options like black sesame and miso lattes, as well as an assortment of matchas with interesting mixes like banana/strawberry milk. I highly recommend the black sesame latte with espresso and their classic lattes, or matcha einspanner. Though it can get crowded and hard to find a seat because many people come to study, you might be lucky enough to find one! They have little tables for 2 people, counter seating where you're in front of the baristas, and long table seating where you may sit next to some strangers as you work! The service is incredibly friendly and quick as well, and it's always a comfort to come here. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet ambiance cafe with solid, consistent coffee, come to Un Caffe!
Came here with a large group for a coffee run and the staff was polite, helpful and got our orders out in a decent time. I wanted to try one of the Thia teas but they were out so they recommended one of the roasted teas and it was very delicious! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a coffee shop that also has a great tea selection. They also have some small bites and snacks but depending on food allergies or other dietary restrictions they may not have many options. Their gluten free items are very limited. Inside there is a decent amount of seating and they have lots of merch for coffee and tea lovers and lots for pets as well.

Un Caffe has long been on my list of cafes to try in Houston. I arrived early on a Saturday morning and found there was plenty of seating. I ordered their house iced matcha which was prepared quickly and was well balanced. I found that it got pretty busy as the morning drew on; there was a constant line of people at the register from about 11-1 pm. The lively chatter didn't bother me, and I enjoyed the people watching. The cafe itself is bright, clean, and organized. I came back immediately the next day for another matcha and to enjoy the atmosphere as I studied.
The place was a bit warm, but that's Houston for ya. The service was amazing! They answered all my questions. I had the empanadas too and I would eat them again. But the star of the show was the einspanner!! The matcha einspanner! So amazing! 10/10!
Relaxed and cozy vibes with long communal tables. It can get busy, so you may end up sharing a seat with a stranger, but I've never had trouble finding a spot eventually. Keep an eye out for their collabs with local bakers and other pop-up events hosted in store. The Matcha Einspanner is decadent and creamy! More of a dessert than a drink, honestly, and sometimes this is exactly what one needs to take the edge off. They offer many variations of it, and I'd recommend trying one when you visit!
Review from 12/31/25 visit I stopped by to try a coffee in this area, I usually like my coffee on the sweeter side so I asked the cashier what she would recommend and she suggested the signature drink the EINSPANNER. When I first received I drank from it and it was bitter until I decided to mix/stir it around than that improved the taste more to my liking. It was the right amount of sweetness and not to bitter. The place does tend to get busy so there may be a wait time to receive your drink.
Un Caffe is a vibey, spacious cafe in Midtown with a small parking area beside it. It almost gives third place vibes in that it is an area where you can work (wifi, restrooms, no water dispenser), meet with friends, and sit on high top chairs watching the baristas do their drink making! It is a nice area, slightly chilly, and moderate noise levels. Decorated beautifully too. The menu includes both drinks and food with unique items like ube flavored drinks and their signature einspanner. I got the: 1) Iced peach tea americano: i liked this one, however, it just tasted like peach tea. It was sweet, but no espresso flavor. It's good, not bad, just not something I can't make myself or get elsewhere. 2) Japanese brown sugar latte: got this one hot with whole milk. The japanese brown sugar syrup did not really taste like brown sugar...I can't quite pinpoint the taste, but overall it just tasted like a sweet latte. Not something I would come back for. All in all, it is a nice cafe space to meet with friends or do some work, but I don't think the drinks I tried were something I would come back for. Nothing to write home about. Perhaps, I will come back to try their einspanner or matcha just to give them a second chance. Also, it took quite a while for me to get my order, but I don't find that to be a big problem.
Went to Un Caffe for the WiFi and coffee. The vibe is relaxed, with lots of bustle. Immediately, you can see a ton of medical students on their laptops studying away. They have a small menu. Opted for their orange cardamom latte. Nice, unique flavor, a little sweet and a soft kick of spice. I would have loved to try their einspanner, but wasn't feeling like two shots of espresso in the afternoon. Service was quick and friendly. WiFi worked well and supported streaming. Will definitely need to be back! I heard they had other types of einspanners but I didn't see it on their menu. Will need to try it next time!

Loved the interior of this place! They also had pretty good seating for a smaller space. They have 2 large tables, a few tables for 2, and bar seating as well. I can definitely see myself studying here if I wanted to switch up my environment. It is a popular spot though, so if you are looking for a quieter place to study this might not be it. The parking is limited, but they have some spots in the front as well as a small lot to the left of the building. There's also across the street at the mix as a last resort. Got their infamous einspanner and I was a fan! The whipped foam on top was so creamy without being heavy, and all mixed together, it was a great balance of sweet and creamy with a subtle hit of bitterness from the coffee. I totally get why they are known for this. (8.5/10) The service was also very fast and friendly. Overall, I'd definitely come back. read more
I came to Un Caffe during my WFH day! There's parking in a gravel lot next to the building, but I chose to park at a garage across the street, which was plentiful. It was a Wednesday afternoon, so your mileage may vary. Service was super friendly, and I loved the clean, cozy interior, but alas, given Un Caffe's popularity, seating was limited... Unfortunately, I did have some qualms during my first visit. I ordered an iced Matcha latte with Japanese brown sugar syrup and pistachio milk. While the cafe seemed knowledgeable about matcha's history and its various qualities, I was not a fan of how the drink was prepared... I felt the milk overpowered the matcha, and it seemed as if the matcha was premade rather than whisked, given its lack of froth. Despite feeling a bit let down by their matcha, I'd still be interested in trying their coffees, particularly the Miso Caramel and Black Sesame lattes. read more

I was excited to finally try this place out while checking out a dessert pop up. Parking in front is very limited and difficult but ended up doing street parking around the corner. I immediately loved the mixed fun decor and chill vibe. It was super packed on a Thursday around 1 pm. I love the idea of a pop up/collab where you can try multiple things from different sellers. I decided to be bold and go for a black sesame matcha latte. I think the black sesame flavor and texture wasn't the right balance with the matcha for me to enjoy especially being new to matcha. I definitely want to try another drink next time but probably need to go with something more traditional for myself. read more
this is great café. the service is helpful and welcoming. there is a conservative amount of seating, but the layout is spacious, and there is great lighting. the coffee is always high quality and made just right. i would definitely consider this a serious coffee drinkers café, because un caffe has serious grounds! definitely recommend stopping by to grab a little pick me up! c. read more
Was finally able to make a trip here after hearing such great things about the coffee here. I got the einspanner which was absolutely delicious. I feel like lots of cafes now go light on the caffeine/espresso, but this one was just the right amount. The place itself is a small, quaint but modern space. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the cafe but it does get packed quickly! Lots of people studying here and/or just chilling. The baristas were super sweet and worked quickly. There is a small gravel lot down the street that's available for parking, but also surrounding street parking and a garage across the street. Definitely coming back for another coffee and maybe a pastry next time. read more

I have been seeing Un Caffe on Instagram for ages with beautiful latte art, moody shots of the sleek interior, and the kind of cozy chic vibe that makes you want to drop everything and go. I finally made the trip and it was exactly what I hoped for. I stopped in for a quick coffee and ordered a cortado to go. It was smooth, balanced, and had just the right punch of espresso. The day got even better when I walked into the middle of a pop up pastry shop. My sweet tooth could not leave empty handed so I left with a couple of pastries. They were flaky, fresh, and worth every bite. The space is modern and minimal with warm touches that make it inviting. A lot of people were hanging out enjoying their coffee, working, and savoring a pastry from the pop up. Friendly baristas, great coffee, and surprise pastries made this visit an easy win. I am already planning my next trip. read more

Great for studying, lots of outlets and WiFi (pwd comes with your receipt). Cute ambiance. They don't have almond milk for coffee tho! Friendly staff. And they carry a lot of pop up bakery items. It's very loud in general just fyi, might not be the best spot for first date. I love their citrus iced americano, so refreshing and not overtly sweet, been here a few times and it's my go to order. Parking spot is tight and limited so just be aware. read more

New to the neighborhood I came in this place just to check it out but after seeing the unique coffee offerings, I had try something. They had this peanut butter creama drink which was espresso with peanut butter foam or whip (can't remember) and once I heard peanut butter my interest was above piqued! When the barista saw my hesitation to commit he offered to make me a peanut butter iced latte and I was sold! Like nothing I've ever had before, this iced latte was balanced, not too much peanut butter but also not too little with the perfect amount of sweetness! Apparently this place sources their ingredients from Japan and make their nut/oat milks in-house; offering different and/or Asian inspired takes on conventional coffees and teas. The cafe was nearly full with the sound of patrons on their laptops clicking away and conversing with one another. There was bar and dining room seating along with cute, eclectic, charming decor throughout. The service, ambiance and coffee was great. Will definitely be back! read more
I freaking love this place!!! It's not hyped up enough. I was dying to try it and finally had the chance and had to go back multiple times for their einspanners. I think their einspanners are the best that I have ever had! They are such a cute and cozy coffee shop tucked away in midtown. My favorite is their caramel Einspanner and tiramisu one. Both so equally creamy, delicious, and strong. I love the vibe of this place. I would definitely recommend if you're ever in the area. Great place to come study, catch up with friends, or just grab a quick cup of coffee. read more
A very nice hip cafe with plenty of seating and have pop up small business every now and then at the front of the cafe. The drink is fresh and the pastry here is delicious. If you are dining in after you order they will bring out your order to your table. They also roast their own beans and sell them here too. My only complain is that this place is not handicap friendly here. There is a small step up to enter the coffee shop, the path to the register and the restroom is pretty tight and the restroom is not really handicap accessible. read more

A cute and busy little coffee shop! Enjoyed the space to sit and get some work done while enjoying great coffee made by super friendly baristas The ham and cheese croissant was everything I wanted it to be. Macchiato was delicious - the espresso is perfect. Einspanner is a decadent treat and was not my fav but if you are a fan of sweet creamy coffee definitely give it a try. read more

The matcha here was delicious. Super creamy, flavorful, and the perfect treat. Stopped into the cafe and was greeted with the modern/ clean atmosphere and the friendly staff. The menu provides a wide range of options while also keeping things simplistic. I would recommend Un Caffe for the matcha alone! read more

Overall a good place for coffee! I ventured on a Friday late morning and the place was somewhat busy. I didn't have any issues parking like others have mentioned. Un Caffe has a number of fairly long tables near the like from the front of the line which turns into a logistical issue and hard to get in and out of the line. Ordered a flat white and was very good! Rich, smooth, and bold all at once. There were a couple of people ahead of me in line but took a while to get my order. I would go back when it isn't as busy. Also one suggestion is allowing for more line space to avoid customers moving awkwardly through the long tables and line. read more
After a very disappointing matcha at another café, I was in *desperate* need of matcha redemption before leaving Houston -- and WOW, I'm so thankful I found Un Caffè! The space is bright, modern, and fun with a clean, spacious layout. It was full when I arrived, but still felt like a great spot to either work or catch up with a friend. The vibe is warm and welcoming -- and the staff? Absolutely lovely! When I asked about the matcha, I was thrilled to hear that it comes unsweetened by default (as it should!). That was music to my ears. The barista was incredibly kind, took the time to chat with me, and made sure I'd get the matcha redemption I was after. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a splash of their house-made honey lavender syrup-- yes, house-made! -- and it was everything I needed and more. Smooth, balanced, not too sweet, and full of rich matcha flavor. This is 100% where you go in Houston for high-quality matcha. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more
I completely missed the place on my turn because it's in a row of small business without a distinct sign. However, the parking parallel to the building in front of it was all open. The place was packed. I got the einspanner because I heard it was the best here and it really is. They even give you a little spork to eat your cream with. Yum! Service was fast and the ambiance was welcoming and felt very cozy. They allow animals I think because I tripped on a golden retriever being distracted by my phone on the way out. The dog is okay and I gave it all the pets and love and apologized profusely. They had some food items. One of the plastic things had moisture on it so I wasn't too sure if that was something you should get. I think it was the vegan kolaches? Anyway the coffee was appropriately strong and really delicious. read more
