I've also had the mango smoothie and the strawberry milk tea, but their flavors were pretty bland. For the food, I've had the sandwiches and vermicelli bowls, which were not bad but not the best. Even though their overall quality is pretty average, I like them because they are pretty close to my workplace for affordable drinks, foods, and fast service.

Time to Order: 7 Minutes with no line Partea's is an unassuming boba shop tucked away into a back corner of Dun Huang Plaza. I walked over after parking nearby. Inside, it's actually quite modern. There are photo booths (for a fee) and some tables. Only one person was working when I was there. I ordered a white peach oolong tea with 30% sugar, less ice, with boba. If I didn't know any better, I would swear that they are using a syrup or flavored sweetener. This was one of the most intense peach flavored oolong teas I've ever had. I let my friends taste and they all agreed. I sampled their Vietnamese coffee as well, which is quite a generous serving for the price, and very roasty. I will definitely be back and I hope they get more business to stay open!

Overall, Tapioca House milk teas are all delicious and high quality. They all have a milky thickness and leave your mouth feeling smooth and moist. A couple of my favorite teas are: Taro, Thai, Barley, Almond Coconut, Mango, and Passion Fruit but whatever you choose you will not be disappointed. Tapioca Milk Tea Jasmine Milk Tea Honey Jasmine Milk Tea Oolong Milk Tea Earl Grey Milk Tea Sweet, flowery flavor similar to horchata with a smooth and creamy texture. Leaves your mouth and throat smooth and moist.  Lavender Milk Tea  Sweet with a brown sugar or caramel taste. The lavender flavor is light and comes in as an after-taste.  Taro Milk Tea Very sweet with a flavor similar to sugar cookies or FruitLoops. The liquid feels thick and slightly powdery, similar to almond milk. This drink can be pretty  filling.    Thai Tea This tea has a smokey and sweet vanilla flavor. This is a great Thai tea. The drink is smooth and thick but not as thick as the taro milk tea. Coffee Milk Tea Very sweet with a hint of bitterness with a medium-strong coffee taste. I do not taste chickery. Barley Milk Tea This tea has a semi-sweet and slightly nutty flavor with fibrous bits at the bottom--similar to drinking the leftover milk from a bowl of Wheaties. Sesame Milk Tea Semi-sweet with a grainy texture. The tea tastes like a mix of sesame balls, oreo milk tea, and tiramisu. Honey Milk Tea Sweet but surprisingly, not super sweet. This tea is smooth and flowery with a hint of a honey taste. It leaves a very pleasant and smooth feeling in your throat and mouth. This would be a great tea for a sore throat. Almond Milk Tea Smooth texture with a flavor similar to  agar jelly. (does not taste like almonds)This tea has a very pleasant flavor, feel, and aftertaste. Coffee Jelly makes for a great topping to go along with this tea. Almond Honey Milk Tea This drink tastes very similar to almond milk tea. Surprisingly, the non-honey version is slightly sweeter. The honey version has a little less of an almond flavor.  Almond Coconut Milk Tea This drink is delicious. Typically, coconut flavored teas taste like coconut shavings while this drink has a nutty flavor like coconut oil. The drink is smooth and sweet. Hazelnut Milk Tea  This Tea is semisweet with a flavor similar to a chocolate turtle. The drink is smooth and has an average thickness. Caramel Milk Tea Very sweet. It has a strong caramel flavor with a flowery aftertaste. This tea is thin but smooth. Coconut Milk Tea Sweet with a nutty coconut oil type of flavor. It's thin and smooth. French Vanilla Milk Tea  Simi-sweet with a mild vanilla flavor with a strong flowery aftertaste.  Mango Milk Tea Very sweet. The flavor is as if Creamsicle made a mango flavored popsicle. The tea feels thick and creamy.  Passion Fruit Milk Tea Sweet with a similar flavor to mixed-berry yogurt. It has a Simi-thick creamy texture. Strawberry Milk Tea This has a sweet strawberry milk flavor which tastes like Nesquik Strawberry Milk.  Chocolate Milk Tea Sweet and chocolatey. There is also a hint of a nutty flavor. The chocolate is strong and also similar to Nesquik.  Peppermint Milk Tea This tea tastes like mint icecream. It has a strong mint flavor.  Rose Milk tea Very sweet and very strong. The flavor has a great rose taste but I recommend getting less than 100% sweetness.

The boba, aka tapioca balls, are phenomenal. It's included in the drink price $5.00, tax included. Where can you find a boba tea at this price in Houston Chinatown? The employees are always friendly and helpful. They are bilingual in English and Spanish. I could even find Mexican candies on the shelves. Just look at the menu and order by the number. It comes right up. I believe they kept the prices down was because they don't accept credit card, cash or Zelle only.

Today's the 1st time I felt compelled to express disappointment with my order -- the Smash Avocado. As you can see from the menu, the cup is tall and filled at least 75% full even without jellies. I ordered one without jellies. I was given this small cup filled no more than 1/2 full with avocado and the rest (50% or more) was just crushed ice. The picture shows the drink as made before any eating/stirring. Even without the jellies, honestly it was way too empty/little. I swing by Kravin' (Richmond) at least 3-4x a month and the employees are always sweet; the drinks are great. I think they even know my face by now 'cause sometimes I just pull up and I'm asked, "Same thing?" Obviously I like Kravin' a lot, but I was honestly disappointed by today's visit at Chinatown.
