I got the Isuzu traditional latte and it was decent with a good matcha taste. I wish the price reflected the size of the cup though as it was significantly smaller than what I was expecting. The establishment is inside a nail salon so it may be confusing as the outside does not say Cocha. The space is cozy and super aesthetic; however, there was limited seating so it felt more like a to-go vibe. Our baristas made our drinks quickly after placing our orders and were helpful with the questions we had.
I love Cocha so much!! I came back to try some new drinks: Duo Matcha, Oreo Cheesecake Matcha, Miso Caramel Einspanner Matcha, and Pandan Coffee. My favorites would be the Miso Caramel Einspanner Matcha and the Duo Matcha. They both are so flavorful and the matcha is so strong . The oreo matcha was okay, it wasn't sweet but the matcha also wasn't strong. Their coffee was good, too. Cons: There was so much ice in all the drinks and the price was really expensive (~$10) for each drink. The wait time was long since they whisk every drink to order, but it was really chill inside though. Overall, I would love to come back again to try other drinks! This might be the best match spot I've tried all over Houston :)
TO GO, not really a sit down spot. There's a couple of small tables however not the most comfortable lounging situation. Located in TULIPO NAIL SPA this tucked away matcha spot is definitely a must try. PRICING WISE think of pop up matcha spots like Enso & Tomo. A cup will run about $10 but it's high quality tasting. I got the JASMINE MATCHA. Jasmine milk tea with a matcha cloud. Floral with a hint of earthiness & bitterness. I'm for sure coming back to try the coffee. Everything on the menu sounds amazing. I just so happen to be getting my lashes done with my girl who rents a room here. I believe there is also someone who does nails but appointments only.
Cocha is a solid matcha place; tucked inside a nail salon! Glad I finally got a chance to try the drinks. Sad the pistachio butter matcha was sold out! Wasn't too busy so service was quick. Enjoyed both the oreo cheesecake matcha and yuzu tart matcha! Flavors don't overpower each other. I'll be back for more matcha.
Cocha can be easy to miss. There's no signage outside but it's located inside a nail salon. The vibe inside is calm and relaxing. They even have a wall of different chawan bowls. I was immediately impressed when I saw their lineup of ceremonial grade matcha. They use Marukyu Koyamaen which is one of my favorite brands. Their menu not only has matcha but hojicha and coffee as well. They incorporate a lot of the classic Asian flavors I love like yuzu, lychee, and pandan. The prices are comparable to some of the other matcha popups out here in Houston. I opted for the yuzu tart matcha and it was absolutely delicious! The matcha was rich and creamy but then you get a nice citrus flavor from the yuzu at the end. I am happy to add Cocha to my lineup of go-to matcha spots in Houston now. Definitely worth stopping by!
This is located inside the nail salon. Once you walk right in you are steps away from the counter. In the back is the nail salon. Had I realized it was a shared space with a nail salon I could have planned better and gotten my nails done as well! Cute spot and festive for the Xmas season. Drinks are delicious! I enjoyed the hou coco creamy. If you like hojicha, milk, and coconut water then try this My sister got the yuzu tart matcha and boy this was tasty. Not sure what the crumbles were on top but it came together so well. I wouldn't say this is a place to sit, chat, and mingle for a long period of time. There are a few chairs but really they are good spots to sit while you wait for your order and take a few pictures.

Their matcha was on the nuttier side in my opinion. They matcha foam was so good and mixed with the lychee/jasmine. The drinks were on the expensive side. Each being around $8-10. My friend invited me to try out Cocha in Houston. It's nestled inside of a nail salon near the galleria and memorial area. They use ceremonial grade matcha and so create coffee, hojicha, and coco drinks. I got the duo matcha which comes topped with a lady finger. The matcha flavor itself was solid and pretty high quality but for the price I was expecting more from it. I also tried the pistachio butter matcha, lychee bloom matcha, and a hojicha cream cloud. The lychee bloom matcha was soo soo good but I just really liked the jasmine tea that they used as the base of the drink. They top it off with a matcha cloud and lychees. The hojicha cream cloud was also pretty good. It had a good roasted flavor that's very deep and more complex. Their drinks here are not bad and good quality but they are pretty expensive
I got the matcha duo but it didn't really change my life the way I thought it would. Come here if you want strong matcha, it should be the standard! However, what's lacking is the general creativity of the drinks on their standard menu. I will definitely try something else next time. The service was great, they were calm and patience with my friends and I. The vibes inside was nice and chill, but not where you can sit and chat for long. It's like a grab and go place. Overall, Matcha 8.5/10, no notes. Should be the standard for all matcha places.
I think they have the best diversified matcha menu thus far, I also feel like they offer coffee options but mainly matcha. where as, most places offer mostly coffee, and some matcha. other matcha places also rely heavily on syrups and sweet drinks, where their main focus is matcha and the liquid portions are smaller which I really like. I may say this is the best matcha shop in houston honestly. my biggest concern was that it would smell like a nail shop, but it doesn't. they executed this concept very well. there's tons of small seating inside, but ofc we are going to crowd the door entry area. I got lychee bloom, they do a lychee milk tea, and for the jasmine, a jasmine milk tea topped with matcha. I think they explain the drinks very well when you get there. im still trying out different drinks but, I am sooo close to finding "the one" I have enjoyed duo matcha, that specialty one with toffee and cream, lychee bloom, and matcha jasmine. but my recent one was Isuzu, latte, sweetened with agave 50% sweet. I haven't had one I hated, b=however there was one that came close, which was pistachio, it had a genuine pistachio connection, but I would add a gram of matcha extra bc the pistachio literally took over. other than that, I am coming back weekly to try different drinks. good rec! read more

The service was pretty good, and the ambiance was as well. I was asked pretty quickly if I knew what I wanted and also if I needed help. I was given advice and chose the Duo Matcha, and the outcome was good. The drink was priced pretty reasonable for the quality that was given. The drink cost $9.75 after taxes. It was really delicious--the Matcha was very high quality, unlike some other places I've bought a latte from. The color was a vibrant green, and it had a good umami flavor, slightly grassy yet semi sweet at the same time, but not overly sweet so that you couldn't taste the Matcha. The Matcha cloud was sweet but not overpowering, so it complemented the Matcha latte well. The only drawback was the ice in the latte. In my opinion, there was a little too much ice, so you need to drink it within the 1 hour mark, or it will dilute the drink quickly which will affect the taste. Also, just a tip (not a criticism of the place): make sure to take the cookie out as soon as possible and eat it on the side, because it will get soggy in the drink and separate, making the drink grainy from the cookie crumbs. Delicious drinks, beautiful space, just don't come here if you're in a rush! They're tucked inside of Tulipo Nails & Spa & their parking lot seems to fill up quick since it's a shared lot. I came on a Thursday around 3pm & there were about 4-6 orders ahead of me. I ended up waiting 45 mins for two drinks... I ordered a banana coffee & my friend ordered their yuzu tart matcha. The banana cream top reminded me of banana flavored Laffy Taffy; it wasn't overly sweet but it did taste a smiiidge artificial. They use high quality matcha & you can tell. Perfect ratio of sweetness & earthy flavors. Prices for their drinks are around $8-$11 read more

Cocha was very good once we found it. It's tucked inside Tulipo nail spa. I ordered the matcha latte with the yuzu soft top. It was super smooth and perfectly balanced. Not too sweet. We will definitely return. read more

Best matcha i've tried so far. Such a little hidden gem tucked inside a cute nail salon boutique. I got the Lychee Bloom Matcha and it was amazing. Super creamy matcha with refreshing lychee tea. perfectly balanced 10/10. Definitely coming back to try more. read more

Traditional isuzu matcha - 8.5/10 - Had a nutty flavor and was very strong so definitely for those who like grassy matcha Lychee bloom matcha - 8/10 - So creamy and the lychee flavor wasnt overpowering or overly sweet Salted coffee - 10/10 - Super creamy with a perfect amount of saltiness/sweetness, and coffee was strong Another day, another matcha/coffee bar to tryFound a cute hidden gem inside of a nail salon that specializes in both coffee and matcha. Cocha was absolutely delicious and amazing. It is located in the Nail store so don't be confused when looking for the place! I got the lychee bloom matcha which was a lychee and jasmine tea as the base with a matcha cloud on top. This was absolutely incredible and was the perfect amount of sweetness. recommend especially if you don't want to get a latte! We also tried the Saigon coffee which was also delicious! read more
When you turn into the plaza you might be confused and can't find the matcha place but that's because it's inside a nail salon called Tulipo Nails & Spa. Right when you walk in, Cocha is on the right and then a little bit down is their nails and spa area. It's a small shop so I wouldn't recommend bringing too many friends since there is limited seating. The vibes and decor is so cute and inviting though. We ordered the pistachio butter matcha and their limited time blushin m. For the two drinks it was around $21 which is pretty pricey to me. Although it was pricey this matcha was soooo good. The flavors didn't overpower the matcha at all. The pistachio butter cream gave the matcha a creamy yet nutty flavor. The blushin m was sweet and fruity. The worker is so kind and I could tell that he really cares about the drinks. They really work on curating the drinks and making sure you taste the flavors without overpowering the matcha. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely stop by again so I can try their other drinks! read more

We tried the hojicha cream cloud (2/10), kinako matcha (5/10), and banana coffee (7/10). Unfortunately, the drinks didn't quite suit our taste, even after thoroughly mixing them. We did try all the drinks before mixing and after mixing. The hojicha cream cloud was our least favorite... it tasted like overly salted milk rather than having a distinct hojicha profile. The kinako matcha had a nice matcha note at first, but it quickly shifted to tasting more like milk tea, so the flavor balance could be improved. The banana coffee was the standout for us and was decent overall, though still not something we'd order again. read more

Upon arriving to the cafe there is no signage letting you know where it is, However it is located inside of a shared space with a nail salon. The space is quite small and with only a few people working there you may have to wait a bit for your drink(s) depending on on how many people are in front of you. Either the space being small also there are a couple of chairs and benches but not really a normal size for a cafe'. The drink I got today was the lychee blossom matcha, it had a mix of house made matcha with green tea. Upon tasting it the matcha was very creamy and flavorful and the lychee tasted fresh even though it was at room temperature. I hope to go back to try their matcha/coffee drinks read more

The Hojicha had a beautiful, toasty tea quality. The barista even offered me to smell it before I tried. And they worked fast given how much people were there. It's also just a gorgeous shop which shares a building with a nail salon. I tried both hojicha drinks and they were rich yet refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try their matcha! read more

words cannot begin to describe how much I love this matcha/ coffee shop. I had the pleasure of being invited to a tasting before they opened and the fact they even took the time to talk to people who love matcha to get their feedback before opening is just something I've never seen anyone else do. they really take their time to get to know you and customize each drink to your liking. 1000/10 recommend! Not to mention the owners are the nicest people ever and really have a passion for this. it feels very welcoming and it's definitely worth trying! read more

Very small space with limited seating, I would suggest just doing carry out. It was really packed when we came on a Sunday afternoon, so expect a longer wait time. I tried the kinako matcha which was really good! It was about $10 (one size). Parking lot is shared with nearby businesses. Employees were friendly and helpful! read more

Best in town. Hands down. We have been on a mission to find good marcha in Htown and love this place. Friendly staff and they really know their matcha well. I hope this place doesn't go super viral so the lines stay reasonable a little longer haha read more
