My husband has been before and wanted me to experience this cafe. He went in early summer and said there has been upgrades since, especially the receipt photobooth! It was so cute and they can send you the picture and video to your phone. They had cute washi tape so you can hang your picture on the walls. The interior was so cute and played a lot into their name. The drinks came quickly, but they only had two toppings you could order. I would say the green Thai tea was great and my milk tea was very slight flavor. If you ask for no ice, there is a top up charge
Êmm Cafe is my go-to spot in China town for delicious, authentic Saigon-style broken rice. I took my friends. They all love the broken rice dishes by Êmm Cafe. I have also tried their pastry, which are very good to go with the drinks: coffee bun and salted bun. For banana cake, I think its a little bit sweet. Êmm Einspanner is really good coffee even though I don't usually drink coffee. Yet it is convincing Êmm Cafe is spacious, with good lightning. It might go endless because it is indeed very comfortable sitting here with friends, sip drinks, and talk. I also live their lovely decors. Service here is also super friendly, happy faces and helpful for customers. Last but not least, the Lovely corner is where you can take pictures of your happy moments with your family and friends. Emm Cafe is a very cute, cartoon-esque modern cafe that is new to the Chinatown area! Very blue, yllow, and green color theme - feels young and whimsical. -- food/drink review -- They don't have almond milk. Only whole milk or oat milk and as someone who doesn't drink either of those, I didn't order a drink. I got a salted bun instead, which is their take on a salt bread. I thought it was pretty average - nothing memorable nor notable about it. It's not bad but not amazing. It doesn't have that nice bouncy chew factor as better salt breads do. I'd say it is just a solid bread roll. -- vibes, ambiance, and workability -- Lots of seating to do work. There is free wifi, water, and restrooms. They also have a food menu for little bites like a salted bun and patongo pork jerky. Patongo is the thai version of a chinese fried dough, so it seems like Emm cafe is inspired from both thai and vietnamese cultures. The menu is thorough with different drink options like vietnamese coffee, fruit teas, and matcha. They have some interesting flavor pairings too like a jasmine avocado matcha among other items. Service is standard speed, so thing notable there. Music is played at a nice volume and temperature is just fine.
Good drinks, friendly service, and nice open seating area. So far I've tried the matcha with coconut juice drink and cashew avocado smoothie. Both delicious! I can tell that the owners are putting a lot of attention and care in their establishment. The menu is creative and covers more than just matcha and coffee - it goes into baked goods and even a rice plate meal. The restrooms are very clean and well managed. The staff looks like a determined team aimed to succeed. Well done! If I had to be picky, minor improvements can be for the tables to be periodically wiped down and cleaned. There were a few wet spots and a finished tray of food, but perhaps the staff was just a bit busy at that point. Overall, doesn't stop me from wiping my own table before sitting and enjoying my drink with the wifey!
I liked the shop it'a a Vietnamese cafe. They have some food, pastries, and coffee/matcha there. I tried their matcha einspanner and it was creamy and tasted almost like ice cream. The matcha grassy flavor was subtle and so I think it's more milky with a hint of matcha. So, it tasted more like an ice cream milkshake if you will. It was really good especially If you're in the mood for a dessert. I'd come back to try the coffees. The inside is cute and spacious. They also had a selfie machine if You put in your order number you can take a photo.
This is a cute and cozy cafe. A great place to hang out with friends, study or get some work done. There's a small photobooth printer you can use with your receipt number so make sure to keep your receipt! We ordered the Springberry Matcha Latte, Thai Green Milk Tea, and the Herbal Tea. The matcha flavor itself was good, not the best but better than other places. The Thai tea was basic and I enjoyed the herbal tea on a hot, humid day. Will come back to try their other drinks.
Wait time wasn't too terrible on the day I went, given it was a Friday evening... the price was a little steep, but in this economy, it's to be expected. The interior was super cute and cozy as well. Anyways, the Matcha Einspinner at Emm Cafe was definitely one of the better matcha drinks I've tried from a cafe! Very creamy, not too sweet at 100% sugar, and you can definitely taste the matcha! I noticed they whisk it in-store too; the whipped cream aspect of the drink was good, but it can overpower the matcha a bit if you don't mix it well. But overall, really delicious & I'd return to try their other drinks! My friend enjoyed their coconut oat matcha too. :D
Love a new matcha cafe! Emm Cafe is one of the newest cafes in Chinatown, and one of the best ones! With plenty of offerings from matcha to coffee to smoothies, and even food!, Emm has got it all. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Avocado foam and it was a great pairing! I would have never thought of this combo. Both refreshing with a little sweetness to it and super creamy. For the matcha drinks, you can tell they use quality matcha based off of the vibrant green color. The space itself is great - it's comfortable and bright and super chill. One of the owners stopped by to make sure our drink was good and stayed to talk for a while, providing fantastic customer service, Highly recommend checking Emm out! I know I'll be back very soon!
I got to try the jasmine matcha and the avocado coffee. The matcha flavor was lackluster, which was a disappointing because the color looked good. I think the jasmine overpowered it a bit. I didn't adjust the coffee, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste and not that strong compared to the competition in the area. Perhaps it was the avocado. I'd like to go back and try their other menu items. Customer service was good; the cashier walked me through the menu. It's also a cute place to study and hang out with friends.
Came to check out the new cafe in bellaire and thought the interior was adorable! They have a receipt photobooth for their customers to tape their photos on the wall, and the colors and theme of the cafe are very bright and cute. I can tell this place care about their matcha quality and the way they create their matcha, and you can watch the baristas make your drink! I ordered the matcha einspanner and spring berry matcha. I like the einspanner and thought that the cream and matcha ratio was good, it was on the thicker side, but sweet and creamy 7.5/10. The spring berry matcha was a strawberry matcha w/ strawberry and matcha foam (?) and topped with chocolate dusted with strawberries. The drink was okay, the strawberry flavor was there but there wasn't anything special about the drink, it was a bit milky 6/10.

Had lots of seating too! This day, I only ordered the coconut oat matcha. It was SO YUMMY. probably my favorite coconut matcha I've had in Houston. I definitely want to come back and try more drink options and some snacks.

We got the Springberry Matcha & Emm Einspanner. The springberry matcha was a strawberry matcha with some toppings on top. The matcha flavor was too light and the strawberry syrup was very subtle, overall the drink was ok. The Emm Einspanner was a Viet coffee latte and the coffee wasn't too strong, but it was still pretty good overall. The prices here were very expensive ($9+ per drink) even though the drinks were mediocre at best. Today was their last day for the 15% off soft opening promotions. After this they will be closed for a bit to get ready for grand opening. They seemed pretty packed already so I hope it will turn out well for them :) Loved all the decor and clean aesthetics, but I would try something else next time!

During peak times, there may be difficulty with finding parking. There's a good amount of seats and outlets. I would definitely go here to study on the weekday. Their menu has a variety of options (matcha, coffee, milk tea, etc.). So far I've tried a couple of their matcha drinks. - Jasmine Matcha (5/5) - Matte Latcha (4/5) - matcha cold whisk (5/5) - matcha einspanner (3/5 too sweet for me) They also have some baked goods like coffee bun and salted bun. I've had their salted bun and it pairs really well with their matcha! They're currently doing 15% off during their soft opening! The prices are pretty average with their competitors. This place is definitely worth coming back to!

My first time at Emm Cafe, and I already love the name of this establishment! To me, "êm" means having a gentle and comfortable day, and I love the meaning behind it. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and the Gemini Matcha, and they were both so good! The Strawberry Matcha tasted like strawberry milk, which is usually how I like my strawberry matcha. The Gemini Matcha was so creamy and delicious, with a richer matcha flavor. I loved the foam on top too! I just wish there was a little more of the actual drink since the cup was filled with quite a bit of ice. But overall, both drinks were so good! I also love that they offer a free photo booth! Such a cute addition to the cafe and a fun little experience while you're there. I would definitely come back! read more
Ẽmm Cafe was such a cute little find! I stopped by for Matcha Monday and tried their Springberry Matcha, and it was sooo good! The strawberry flavor paired perfectly with the matcha, and the sweetness was just right not overly sweet at all. The drink was creamy and refreshing, and you could still actually taste the matcha, which I love. The cafe itself had a nice vibe, and the service was great. Another fun touch is that they have a complimentary Photo Booth with a purchase, which makes the experience even more memorable! Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially when I'm craving a good matcha. read more
I love this viet cafe! From the moment you walk in you can really tell alot of work was put into this lovely place. Beautifully designed and would be great to study or hang out at! Moving into the coffee, I had the êmm einspanner at regular sugar and can definitely see why it's a cafe favorite! Perfectly amount of sweetness and cream! My party got the einspanner, the strawberry matcha, and mocha and it was a hit with all of us. Shared a honeycomb cake and all of us loved it! Clean ambiance with friendly servers. There's a tiny tv where you can take photos but most people's hogged it and I was alone so no point. No wonder why this side of the plaza is so pack now. Lots of parking but it's shared among a big plaza. This side of the plaza used to not be pack but it is now. If you can brave the Houston sun then walking a bit won't be an issue. Currently, there's a 15% off soft opening discount. I couldn't get my hands on their salted buns but their Einspänner matcha and herbal tea are delicious. It took about 30 minutes for the matcha but that's cause it's done by hand and they were so packed inside. What I dislike are their lids! Not convenient to-go if you're ordering lots of drinks. Prices are not cheap. About $9/drink. read more
I've walked passed this place a few times as it's only a few blocks from my house. Today was the day to give it a try. I was initially excited, but then I saw the prices. These drinks would have to be out of this world to justify $20 for 2 drinks. Sadly they didn't live up to my dreams. The Thai Milk Tea was freshly made, but rather average in flavor. The Springberry Matcha Latte was nicely presented and I liked the candy sticking out of the top. It's not my flavor profile of choice. It is well made, not lumpy, and the Springberry has a nice texture making it unique. Average or slightly above. The vibe is nice, as is the music. It could be a nice date place, but I'd prefer more comfortable chairs if I was sitting here for a while. read more
A cute place with plenty of space to chill with friends and family! The interior is super aesthetic and blew up on instagram. Their drinks are super unique, and many options with coffee and for the matcha drinks as well. When finishing ordering and get your receipt, you have an option to use the mini Photo Booth printer! They have limited prints per receipt. I got their spring berry matcha latte, which was pretty good! The worker was helpful and even let me know they use 4g of matcha. It does get pretty crowded in there, but would definitely come back again! read more
Lots of people in here on a Sunday afternoon. We got a few different matcha drinks and they were hit or miss. Some were good, some were watered down; mine was somewhere in the middle. I think einspanner probably the best? But also for a $9 drink, it should not be this hit or miss. read more

Friends and I went to the new emm cafe in Houston while studying for finals. They had a 15% discount promotion and were packed the whole time we were there. I got the matcha einspanner and it came out relatively fast. The sweetness of the matcha was pretty good but the einspanner itself could be more sweeter. I really liked the jasmine flavor of the Jasmine matcha, I liked this one more than the einspanner. They had cute things there such as this photo booth that's free to use read more
I came to try their drinks after hearing they were officially open. Walking in, the space was well decorated, lots of seating, and pretty color scheme. The staff were nice and friendly. I ordered 3 drinks to try being the êmm einspanner, matcha einspanner, and jujube tea. I looked at the menu during their soft opening and noticed that they did take away some items along with lowering the price. The êmm einspanner was Vietnamese iced coffee with a cream top. The cream top was sweet and fluffy but the iced coffee itself wasn't strong taste very lackluster. As for the matcha einspanner, the staff did ask if you want to add extra matcha for a stronger taste than the regular 4g added. The matcha was good but definitely needed the extra shot of matcha since it's a lot more milky without it. As the jujube tea, it was nice and refreshing with different toppings. Looking at the my drinks compared to the drinks during the soft opening, I noticed in the two einspanner that there was barely any cream top in my drinks than pictures in others where there was a nice layer of cream top. Along with there being a lot of ice especially in the jujube tea. Overall, the drink were okay and could have been better especially with how pricey they are. read more

(The menu/dishes) Haven't had the food yet. (The ingredients/the prices) Prices are slightly higher than those in the area for the amount of beverage you get. Great place to get a variety of drinks that include matcha, smoothies, coffee, and tea. They also have pastries and hot food. Service was good, big bright and open space to dine in. I got 50% sweetness and it was almost as sweet as a 70% drink. I loved the aesthetic and colors inside the cafe. I highly recommend and would come back. read more

Matcha einspanner: 4/5 good but wish matcha flavor was stronger. Sweet but not too sweet Jasmine avocado milk tea: 4/5 avocado flavor was stronger than the avocado coffee. Sweet but not too sweet. Avocado coffee: 3/5 avocado flavor wasn't very strong. Still yummy though but would try something different next time There's a cute photo printer on the right side of the store! You need the code on your receipt to access the camera. Not sure if that's a permanent installation or just for opening. Loved the atmosphere of the cafe. Busy for a Tuesday evening filled with people hanging out or studying. Bright and inviting atmosphere -- aesthetic decor. read more

Absolutely wonderful! Both the matcha and coffee were 10/10! The service was also excellent. They were quick, welcoming, and friendly. Top matcha places I have tried. The matcha was extremely delicious, & the place was so cute. Fairly new in the Bellaire area so it took a while but worth the wait, the staff was super helpful. We also ordered the com tam dish, it was yummy. Definitely try the strawberry matcha specialty. read more
