Loved the interior, such a cozy spot to catch up, work and hang out. Not a lot of seating though and seats are pretty close together so can get packed. We picked up an order Saturday morning and it had a decent amount of people. The coffees were great, however, the iced tea was basically just water. They didn't brew the tea at all which was disappointing. The honey syrup with the beignets was our favorite!!

Cute cafe with lots of options for coffee, tea, and food. The drinks came quickly and were good! Definitely on the sweeter side but good. The atmosphere is fun and lively with lots of seating options and good big windows. Great for groups or studying.

I came here with a friend to study and they had plenty of seating options (one big table and a good chunk of smaller tables). My friend really liked their coconut viet coffee so I decided to try their coconut matcha version. It was very light, sweet, and creamy but the coconut flavor was a little overwhelming and the drink was a little thick.

Good place to get matcha and other drinks around Bellaire. This place is a great spot to sit down and study. They have a large menu of drinks and food items too. The place is cheaper compared to most places I know in houston. I also noticed the drink I got which was very tasty, it had a foam and ice that made up most of the drink. The beignets were good, I've had better. Overall good spot and I'd come back!

Such a cute little cafe! I love the wall of bookshelves and all the plants! There was a live musician when I was there which was really cool but would make it hard to study. I got the ice coco matcha. It was delicious great matcha and coconut flavor but very thick. Would definitely come again.

This is a great study spot with some interesting drink combinations at really reasonable prices.!

Coffee was ok. Beignets were ok. Just soft dough. Matcha was light and sweet. A bit chalky. Tarter tots was the best. It was crispy and not salty. Overall very ok experience. Great place to take your laptop and chill.

Ambiance 4/5 Can get loud especially in the afternoon. Great to study around noon as its quiet and has outlets. Their interior is also cool to look at with the chandelier and hanging plants. Wish they placed their wifi somewhere more visible especially if they cater to many students studying. Drink 4/5 I got the momo oolong tea. The tea bag looked fancy and it tasted like oolong lol. Maybe ill try another drink next time. Service 5/5 Asked for a recommendation and was given nicely so...im happy with it. I would go again either alone or with study friends.

This place was recommended by a friend as a nice place to study. However, when I got there, the entire block was without electricity...and it was hot. I was able to get a Yuzu lemonade which i greatly enjoyed. The two young ladies working there were great and accommodating. Ill def be back to try them again. Thats the only ly reason they got three stars. They simply were fully operable at the time

Came to Morii Coffee to attempt to get work done. It was a rainy day so the place was fairly empty with plenty of tables available. They have a really nice aesthetic inside, I felt like it would a good study spot. I wanted to try their iced coconut Vietnamese coffee. It was pretty good and not overly sweet but I could not taste any coconut in it at all. I also tried some matcha beignets which came with a side of honey. The beignets were warm and pillowy and the powdered sugar and matcha powder made it taste pretty good. Don't dunk them too much into the honey though or it will be too sweet. I also tried some of their Kyoto fog and I really liked it even though it was a warm drink. It's a hojicha with steamed half and half and whole milk, and vanilla. It had a deep flavor and a perfect sweetness level, I'd get this over the coffee.

We love this hidden gem!! Tucked away (but close enough) to Chinatown, it's a great spot for a quick break away from the hustle and bustle. It would be a nice place for studying or working if you happen to be in the area. The staff is really friendly, the vibes are cozy and aesthetic with a lot of natural lighting. More notably, the coffee and snacks are delightful! I got the iced coconut Vietnamese coffee and it was sweet, buttery, and so full of flavor, loved it! We also ordered the matcha beignets with honey, and wow, what a treat! We enjoyed this spot and will definitely come back!

Cute coffee, tea, and snack shop with a cute interior. Came here several times back when it was BLKDOG and enjoyed it a lot. This was our first visit since they changed the name. Highlights are the matcha beignets, fries with spicy mayo, Kyoto Fog, and Seoul Fog. Vibe: Vibe is chill and it remains a pretty popular spot so seating can be tough sometimes. People like to study or meet up with friends here. Food: We ordered the fries with spicy mayo and iced vietnamese coconut latte. The portion for fries was big and very shareable. They were very flavorful and sprinkled with what tasted like furikake, giving it a nice umami, seaweed, sea salt flavor. Spicy mayo was also very good and had a good kick to it! The latte was too sweet and more than 3/4 of the cup was just ice, don't recommend getting it. Came with a friend who ordered the Seoul Fog (hot tea drink) and they said they really enjoyed it though. I usually get the Kyoto Fog and enjoy that a lot - perhaps their iced drinks just have too much ice. Overall, we definitely recommend stopping by for matcha beignets, fries, or a hot tea-based latte like the Kyoto or Seoul Fog. We have not had luck with iced drinks here as they are too sweet or have way too much ice. Service was also great!

    London Fog and Vietnamese Coffee
    Chy P.

Cute little cafe with a renaissance, artsy vibe. We ordered beignets, a London Fog, and a Vietnamese coffee. Absolutely loved the London Fog -- smooth, comforting, and balanced. Also appreciated that they had Vietnamese coffee on the menu. The beignets were more on the doughy side, closer to a regular powdered raised donut rather than the airy, light texture I usually prefer. Still tasty -- just a personal preference thing. Overall, a cozy spot with a unique aesthetic and nice drink options.

While the osmanthus with cream remains my personal favorite, this visit I ordered the high mountain pouchong with orange and was not disappointed. Luckily there wasn't a line. I picked up a green tea passion fruit tea and was surprised how tasty it was! The drink was a pretty yellow hue with passion fruit seeds at the top. The green tea flavor wasn't overly strong or dry wnd was very fragrant-- super tasty~ It came in a recyclable little sling carrier too, super cute :) I love how the brand focuses on real fruit, milk/cream so there aren't any artificial ingredients lurking around. You can order at the kiosk or at the cashier. For sweetness customization, they only have full level, less sweet, and no sugar options. The less sweet is already plenty sweet for me, so wish there was a slightly less sweet option than that. The service was polite and friendly, and the inside was clean with several tables. Besides the great taste, I really appreciate the "no artificial stuff" way of doing things. After one drink I'm Chicha San Chen fan! Be sure to stop by sometime and try their tea :D

Did they live up to the hype? Heck yeah... The words, "soufflé pancakes" really are perfect in describing this very unique treat. The texture is soft and light, and the flavor is spot on pancakes. I tried two of their flavors: original (butter with honey drizzles) and pistachio. OMG these were truly heavenly! The classic buttery flavor on the original was wonderfully classic. But I would have preferred maple syrup over honey. The pistachio was OUTSTANDING. Same light, fluffy pancake base, but that pistachio cream was dreamy creamy! True pistachio flavor, and the cream was so satisfyingly silky (say that 10 times fast :) On this dish alone, I would easily give Sweet Memes five stars. The deduction is for the place itself... service was very friendly, but the restaurant felt quirky: decor is kitschy Asian. I'm not likely to eat onsite, but I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

The furniture has a pink and white theme, and there aren't enough outlets (1-2) available for digital work. In addition, the small tables and seats at the back are too close for comfort. These features make the place less appealing, as offering more space and lighting, and providing online access is more equitable to what customers need nowadays. There is a porch bench swing that rocks back and forth and will hit the sofa behind it, so sitting on the sofa will be irritating because you will feel the whack of the porch swing thumping at you. Also, this place is loud with a lot of chatter (stopped by 4 times). The staff are friendly and polite, and the desserts offered are a variety: drinks, crepe, cake, pancakes, and more. I like the smashed young coconut drink - very rich and plentiful, but I have to ask for a cup of crushed ice to lessen the density of the drink/dessert. I also like the fresh very berry smoothie and the passion fruit (with mixed fruit) tea drinks as well.

The Adeni chai did taste authentic. I also tried the Turkish coffee and that was strong and bold. I don't feel like the taste was too strong for me though, it was easy to drink. I also liked the presentation of the coffee. They put it in a traditional coffee pot. If you like strong coffee then this is for you. I tried the meat samosa and it was crispy and the inside was a mix of onions and minced meat. It had a nice texture for me but the inside wasn't to my flavor of taste. The Knafeh wasn't as crunchy as I thought it would be but the cheesecake portion was just like an original cheesecake, tangy and rich. I enjoyed the cheesecake.
