I had high hopes for Morii coffee but was not impressed. We got the iced matcha latte and the Kyoto fog. The matcha latte had no matcha flavor and tasted like pure milk. The drink was mostly crushed ice which melted quickly. The color was pale and not vibrant at all. The Kyoto fog was a hot hojicha latte. There was no iced hojicha available and the staff said they couldn't add ice to the Kyoto fog. The hojicha flavor was decent. The staff were not too friendly and didn't seem to want to talk to us. It was quiet and might be a good study spot. There were some tables with outlets close by. Parking was easy as it's located in a plaza.

I came here to get a decaf vanilla lavender latte. It was creamy and sweet with a hint of lavender. I really enjoyed this cup. The staff was nice but he forgot that I wanted decaf and it sounds like there's normally an extra charge for that. :( The place had a lot of seatings and gave a library feel. There's free parking out front.

Iced coco matcha and Iced Yakult yuzu

The Morii Coffee is such a cute cafe! There were lots of students studying here, and the wifi was fast, so this was such a nice place to get work done. I got the iced coco matcha ($6), and my friend got the iced Yakult yuzu. I'm not really a coconut person, but I wanted to get one of their specialty drinks, and I really enjoyed the iced coco matcha. It was very sweet and tasty. We also really liked the iced Yakult yuzu as it had a refreshing fruity taste. It started to get busy here on a weekday afternoon, so I am sure it would be hard to find seating here on a weekend, but it was a great study spot with outlets and good drinks.

Plenty of parking around. I seen lots of pictures of the iced coconut matcha and thought it was pretty unique/ fun twist by adding a coconut foam. The sweetness is there as a latte drink which is nice but it's a no for me. One of the reasons I was never a fan of matcha before was due to the grainy texture which this drink unfortunately had. I prefer a smooth matcha that blends really well with the milk. I didn't try any of the pastries to give my review on food items. However, the cafe itself looks very beautiful inside. I love the greenery and there's plenty of seats/couch areas to study, catch up, read a book etc.

Loved the interior, such a cozy spot to catch up, work and hang out. Not a lot of seating though and seats are pretty close together so can get packed. We picked up an order Saturday morning and it had a decent amount of people. The coffees were great, however, the iced tea was basically just water. They didn't brew the tea at all which was disappointing. The honey syrup with the beignets was our favorite!!

Cute cafe with lots of options for coffee, tea, and food. The drinks came quickly and were good! Definitely on the sweeter side but good. The atmosphere is fun and lively with lots of seating options and good big windows. Great for groups or studying.

I came here with a friend to study and they had plenty of seating options (one big table and a good chunk of smaller tables). My friend really liked their coconut viet coffee so I decided to try their coconut matcha version. It was very light, sweet, and creamy but the coconut flavor was a little overwhelming and the drink was a little thick.

Good place to get matcha and other drinks around Bellaire. This place is a great spot to sit down and study. They have a large menu of drinks and food items too. The place is cheaper compared to most places I know in houston. I also noticed the drink I got which was very tasty, it had a foam and ice that made up most of the drink. The beignets were good, I've had better. Overall good spot and I'd come back!

Such a cute little cafe! I love the wall of bookshelves and all the plants! There was a live musician when I was there which was really cool but would make it hard to study. I got the ice coco matcha. It was delicious great matcha and coconut flavor but very thick. Would definitely come again.

This is a great study spot with some interesting drink combinations at really reasonable prices.!

Coffee was ok. Beignets were ok. Just soft dough. Matcha was light and sweet. A bit chalky. Tarter tots was the best. It was crispy and not salty. Overall very ok experience. Great place to take your laptop and chill.

Ambiance 4/5 Can get loud especially in the afternoon. Great to study around noon as its quiet and has outlets. Their interior is also cool to look at with the chandelier and hanging plants. Wish they placed their wifi somewhere more visible especially if they cater to many students studying. Drink 4/5 I got the momo oolong tea. The tea bag looked fancy and it tasted like oolong lol. Maybe ill try another drink next time. Service 5/5 Asked for a recommendation and was given nicely so...im happy with it. I would go again either alone or with study friends.

This place was recommended by a friend as a nice place to study. However, when I got there, the entire block was without electricity...and it was hot. I was able to get a Yuzu lemonade which i greatly enjoyed. The two young ladies working there were great and accommodating. Ill def be back to try them again. Thats the only ly reason they got three stars. They simply were fully operable at the time

The pistachio latte was not overpowering at all and you could definitely taste the nuttyness! Not overly sweet which is perfect for me! The pistachio mousse was very thick and rich. My party of friends all enjoyed sampling them both. Our group also tried their Mufawaar medium roast coffee with cardamom & cream (not shown) per the cashier's recommendation. We really did appreciate his rundown of the menu. However, the iced Mufawaar was VERY watery much to our disappointment. Very much everyone in my group's least favorite. The lotus milkcake (not shown) was delicious Interior I will say I was impressed at how big the space was. Very clean, ideal for some work / study. Beautiful patio outside if this Texas heat wasn't so terrible! Overall I have to give it a 4.2~/5. I think their cake selection is great along with their pistachio featured items

The vibes reflect their culture well and I'm here for it. They have a bunch of pastries and a wide range of coffees to choose from. I tried the rose Adeni chai. I don't know about the rose part of it. It was basically the a cold foam part of it but I don't feel like the flavor tasted like rose or anything, just had the pink color. The Adeni chai did taste authentic. I also tried the Turkish coffee and that was strong and bold. I don't feel like the taste was too strong for me though, it was easy to drink. I also liked the presentation of the coffee. They put it in a traditional coffee pot. If you like strong coffee then this is for you. I tried the meat samosa and it was crispy and the inside was a mix of onions and minced meat. It had a nice texture for me but the inside wasn't to my flavor of taste. That's just in my opinion because I don't like onions. I then tried the Knafeh cheesecake. The Knafeh wasn't as crunchy as I thought it would be but the cheesecake portion was just like an original cheesecake, tangy and rich. I enjoyed the cheesecake. I guess I was expecting of a more of Knafeh taste like the top would be like half Knafeh instead of like sprinkles. Nevertheless, it was still good it just wasn't what I expected.

It would have been much easier if we'd been directed to that menu first. There were also photos of drinks displayed on the counter without prices, so we had to ask about each one. The staff had to enter every drink into the computer just to tell us the price. We ordered two drinks, a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon blueberry loaf, and two macarons. We received the drinks and macarons, but nothing else. We waited about 10 minutes, assuming someone would call us when the rest of our order was ready, but no one ever did. I finally went back to the counter, and the employee said, "Oh, I thought the other girl did it." While we were waiting, I had plenty of time to look around. The tables, booths, and chairs were dirty. There was food on the tables and floor, and the front door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. One employee was sitting on what appeared to be her personal laptop, laughing and watching something instead of helping customers or cleaning. I remember working in food service years ago, and one thing that was drilled into us was, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." That definitely didn't seem to apply here. The food itself was okay, but having to remind the staff to finish our order was disappointing. You're asked to tip before you've received any service, yet everything is self-service and no one checks on you. I don't mind self-service at all when it's organized and the restaurant is clean, but this experience felt disorganized from start to finish. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I left more frustrated than impressed.

Fortunately, once you park here, you can pretty much grab some drinks, baked goods, play claw machines, go grocery shopping, etc. Trung Nguyen serves espressos, matcha, phin coffee, phin drips, teas, and white coffee (lighter version). Toppings are $1-$1.50 and includes grass jelly, coffee jelly, cream, single shot, or extra matcha. I've tried their egg coffee, coconut coffee, ube coffee, pandan coffee, and black sesame. Although I love all of them, my current fav is the black sesame! YUM!! I've yet to try their matcha and teas, but Trung Nguyen is always on our list whenever we're in town- so I will for sure try their other drinks at one point or another. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky.
