This place is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle with an interior that has a laid back feel where you could study, read a book, or just relax with a cup of coffee. They are helpful in recommending dishes if you don't have a clue what you're wanting. Based on recommendation, we ordered some breakfast tacos and some latte coffees. It didn't take too long to come out -- 5-10 minutes for the coffee, 15- 20 minutes for the food. We enjoyed our nearly two hours there and never felt we were rushed. Unfortunately, the service here has really gone downhill. I waited 25 minutes for a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, which is frustrating enough, but the customer service was even worse. When I asked for a bag, the employee making the sandwiches responded, "It's in a bag," even though the sandwich next to mine was clearly bagged and mine wasn't. Long waits can happen, but there's no excuse for being rude to customers over a simple request. I used to love coming here, but after this experience, I won't be back. read more

I love Humble Grounds so much! I'm from STL and whenever I come and visit, I typically suggest we come here. I love their coffee flights and the laid back, aesthetic atmosphere. This particular visit was mid afternoon, right when we needed some caffeine. The staff member behind the counter was super pleasant and was patient with all of our questions. We got a coffee flight, which comes with 3 coffees, a gluten free lemon muffin, and a chocolate chip cookie. Since there is so much to drink with the flight, we decided to split it. The flight came with rose matcha, pistachio cold brew, and lavender white mocha. I loved all of them but my favorite was the rose matcha. It's exactly what it sounds like and it was amazing. Rose flavor mixed well with the matcha, I have thought about it several times since having it. Loved it per usual! read more

Cute discovery near my workplace! The coffee shop is woman-owned and Christian-owned and they also support local artists. Love that they are walking distance from the clinic where I work and they have friendly customer service! Nestled in the heart of Fulshear, it's become mine and my husband's new favorite spot! While I haven't tried any of their coffee yet, their roasted potatoes and bacon breakfast taco are delicious! The potatoes are packed with flavor and they don't use your traditional white store bought tortilla. It tastes like homemade quality tortilla you'd buy from a market or from your abuelas house... I visited Humble Grounds on a Friday morning around 9 AM with a few of my mom friends and our toddlers. We were looking forward to catching up over coffee in what we thought was a welcoming, community-focused café. Unfortunately, we were approached by a barista who told us that in the future, we would need to call ahead to let them know we were coming. This was surprising and honestly quite disappointing. As a public coffee shop, the idea that we would need to "notify" them before arriving--as paying customers--is not only unwelcoming, but also borderline discriminatory toward parents with young children. We were respectful of the space, kept our kids close, and supported the business by making purchases. It's one thing to have policies in place for large groups or private events, but the way it was communicated to us felt unnecessarily dismissive. There are many cafés that truly embrace community and inclusivity--especially for parents looking for a brief, much-needed moment of connection. Sadly, this wasn't one of them. We won't be returning. I hope the management reflects on how they approach customers and what kind of environment they want to foster moving forward. read more

If I could give zero stars I 100% would. 34 minutes we waited for avocado toast and 2 breakfast tacos. We had to ask for our coffee to be handed to us after it sat there for 20 minutes and received very sarcastic attitude from the attendant. Would never go back and will be making sure that everyone I know is aware that this location is run by people that care more about making points with sarcastic attitudes rather than true customer service, truly the worst service I've had in the Fulshear area. read more
