I'm going to withhold torrential criticism of this establishment since I am new to it and I don't want to discourage folks however there are certain cautions that I think folks considering Harvey's should bear in mind. There is a dine in option however the place is relatively small and they have quite a busy "To Go" service so it is akin the having a meal along a busy sidewalk. Please don't misunderstand, if your option is to consume your meal in a facility or in your car it is likely more convenient but that ends the contrast. Because it is o "To Go" oriented for instance if you order gumbo (which I did) you will be given a small plastic spoon and salad (which I ordered) will be segregated (Like olives grouped together, feta grouped etc. ) in a container "To Go" container making it impossible to 'toss' without making a mess or using your hands. Let's address food which I have mentioned. Gumbo is akin to a Manhattan style fish chowder, not objectionable however not gumbo. The Greek Salad I gave already described with the addition of the fact that my dressing had solidified. When I pointed it out to the folks taking orders it was replaced however in this respect I'm glad I ate in...without a microwave it would not have liquified. Look, I am not an idealist, This is a sandwich "To Go" place I don't fault the owners at trying to make every square inch of a rental place earn money however the 'dine in' option is a convenience not an ambience. The 'gumbo' was not and the salad was a generous portion of lettuce, fresh vegetables, adequate feta however the initial dressing and the serving container for 'eat in' was disappointing. Next time I will order a sandwich which is a Deli goal. read more

I was in the mood for great Reuben sandwich and couldn't tolerate another chain selection, Yelp helped me find Harvey's. It caught me off guard with size of the restaurant, four tables. WOW! Me and my husband ordered the Cuban and the ham sandwiches, best sandwiches we've ever had! We'll definitely be going there again!

First time here. Let's start with expectations. This place is tiny. Two tables. That's it. Prices are pretty high for size. $15 after tax for the whole sandwich. The whole is about 12". The portion size is high. My sandwich was stacked with meat cheese and veg. Which can accommodate the higher than average price. Nevertheless, the bread is awful. I had to take my sandwich apart and swap out for just white bread. Overall, this place has potential but deli it is not. Bright side the staff is super friendly and quick. We love local and this is as local as you get it! Mom and Pop Shop that serves some of the best deli sandwiches in Houston if not the best. True old style sandwiches with double everything. Did I mention the soup, salad and sweets? They also do meal delivery. We grabbed a few from the freezer for dinner and they were exceptional. It is a must try. This place is one of the best deli's in the Houston area! It's a small shop that feels like a neighborhood market. It's very clean and perfect for stopping in for a quick lunch. The staff is friendly and considerate of offering the best customer service. I went with a friend and, after taking our order, the staff member suggested a larger sandwich which he offered to slice in half (which saved us some money and was the perfect size)! The bread is wonderfully toasted and filled with the freshest ingredients. It's truly a gem! The only con is that I wish they were open longer! Bought my son a turkey club for his game day meal. He said it was the best sandwich he's had, EVER! The website made it easy to order and it was ready for pick up pretty quickly! Will be trying it myself and will definitely order here again when I have to take him food to school!! There are not a lot of options out here and I feel like I found a gem!! One of the best sandwiches we have eaten! Ingredients were fresh, flavorful and plentiful. I had a custom veggie on wheat (bread was delicious) and my Fiance had the Turkey Club. My daughter and I stopped in at Harvey's Deli for lunch a few days ago and were really impressed with the food we ordered. I got a Reuben and she got a smoked turkey sandwich. Our food was served promptly and was piping hot. We spoke with a gentleman who I assume is the owner. He advised that most of their meats are smoked in-house, and it certainly tasted that way to us. In addition to being a restaurant, they also do catering and meal prep. Their dining room is very small, but worked well for us. I believe their are 4 tables. I enjoy local places and owners who take pride in what they serve. We will be back. Highly recommend. read more

Came here for the first time this afternoon, and happy I made the trip. Talked to the owner, and apparently Harvey's has been open about 6 months...how am I just now finding out about this place? Ordered the Reuben at the owner's suggestion, and it was excellent! Huge in size and flavor. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other sandwiches. This place can be easy to miss, because their larger sign reads "Front Door Gourmet", but it's located right near Buc-ees. Been in the market for a great sandwich/deli place that isn't a chain here in the Fulshear/Brookshire/Katy area. Found it. Quality food, huge portions, and priced appropriately. It's not really a sit-in place, just counter service to go for lunch. I believe there is a meal prep/catering business as well. Sandwiches can all be customized. My turkey was actual breast meat, not compressed or processed. Roll was fresh, toasted, but not crunchy. Order was prompt, hot, and best of all - correct. I really do like Harvey's. I've ordered here multiple times but one area for improvement is definitely following the order instructions. I have received sandwiches without the condiments requested. Missing components (like ham in a cordon bleu) or today's case of missing pickles. So if I am not able to go to the place myself and check the order, I hesitate to purchase. Our office out in Brookshire started using LunchDrop and Harvey's is a regular feature. I am gluten intolerant and was pleased to see a gluten free bread option for sandwiches. It's difficult to get gluten free bread right - taste and texture - but Harvey's has it mastered.
