This is my go to place! I absolutely love dish society they have a great selection of food, all deliciously cooked, friendly for picky eaters, adults, and of course kids. The service is great you order at the counter get sat and the food is brought to you. The place has indoor and outdoor sitting overlooking the play area for the kids. My recommendations would be the farmers plate, the salmon poke bowl, and to the upmost importance their Mac and cheese, it is absolutely delicious! There app is also pretty cool my boyfriend and I accrued like 5000 points last year, getting us a ton of free items and that's going like once or twice a month! read more

I got the veggie grain bowl with grilled chicken. I asked for vinaigrette on the side...I didn't get any. Then I asked the waiter to bring me some and she never came with it. I asked another waiter and she also didn't come by with it. I gave up and just grabbed cholula from the bar. Oh well. My friend got pancakes and the waiter dropped the syrup all over the table. Things fall, it's okay. It happens. But then she came back to clean it and sprayed cleaner on the table ...and on the food...and then the floor but also on our shoes. And never came back with a replacement syrup. Again, asked her. She didn't. Asked another waiter...asked a third waiter...finally the syrup arrived once the pancake was room temperature. I used to absolutely love Dish Society, every time I went the food was always delicious. Over the past 2-3 years something must have happened with management because the quality control and service has completely tanked. Today wasn't the first poor experience I've had it was the third or fourth which is why I'm writing this now. I ordered the pretzels and queso and this is what i received.... Black, burnt to a crisp, hard as a rock, inedible pieces of garbage (because that's exactly where they went.) That means someone saw these, did not consider having them redone, boxed them up, and sent them on their way without caring about the quality of food they were serving to paying customers. With the decline in food quality to the poor customer service I've received the past few times I think I'll be taking this restaurant off my list of places to eat until they can turn things around. To the managers.....there are no bad teams only bad leaders. Hold your peeps accountable, get rid of the dead weight, implement that proper consistent quality control that gets people coming back. I loved is that there's seating both indoors and outdoors, so you can enjoy the beautiful weather while dining, especially this time of year when the holiday decorations are up. The restaurant is perfectly situated right in front of the central green space so my niece could play within view while we relaxed and enjoyed our meals, a total win-win! Now, about the food... Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS and packed with flavor. Good ambience and welcoming customer service. However, my poke bowl was strangely salty, I don't know if it was meant to be that way, but regardless not as enjoyable as I expected it to be. Portion was also quite small for its price. We ordered a side of scrambled eggs, but arrived undercooked and with fishy aftertaste, and the salmon on the avocado toast was as well slightly fishy. We stopped by this morning for a quick breakfast after a long drive. The kids were excited to stretch their legs and run around outside before and after our meal. The food was great and was served in reasonable serving sizes -- enough to get us full but not to the point of feeling gross. Everything tasted fresh! Everyone was accommodating and helpful, too. While visiting the La Centerra Farmers Market, my family and I decided to try Dish Society, a Southern-style restaurant known for brunch and casual fare. Service at the counter was unwelcoming and unhelpful, which set a disappointing tone. We ordered a kid's breakfast platter, hot chicken sandwich, side pancake, and black beans. (I know some odd items but our youngest likes to snack). Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The chicken sandwich was overly salty with an extremely greasy bun, the pancake was dry and lacked flavor, and the black beans had an unusual taste. Only the kid's platter was somewhat enjoyable and 1/3 of it seemed to be jelly. Though I appreciate the hard work behind restaurant service, the overall experience did not justify the cost, and none of us left satisfied. read more

Update. Went to Dish Society for lunch and ordered the Texas Hot Chicken Sandwich and the deconstructed chicken pot pie. Like it is rare to find a place that doesn't miss!!!!!! The chicken pot pie was so soooo good. Tasted like someone's grandma was back there and whipped that up. The Texas hot chicken sandwich was so soooo good. Usually some chicken sandwiches aren't seasoned or fried good. Not the case with this sandwich. The chicken was fried to perfection and seasoned oh so good. And can we talk about bang for buck??? After I repeated to her I had ordered from the app and what she said didn't make any sense to me (I was admittedly condescending) she told me she would get the manager. My friend and I ate lunch inside. There is patio seating available. The patio will be perfect when it cools down. We arrived a little before noon. They were just starting to get busy. While we were studying the menu, a friendly hostess stood by patiently answering all of our questions. I decided on the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast and Hibiscus tea. My friend ordered the Crispy Chicken Kale Caesar Salad and a Prickly Pear Frozen Margarita. We decided to share the White Chocolate Pretzel Bread Pudding. The restaurant was clean and shiny, everyone was pleasant, ordering was easy, there were six different organic teas available and several soda options, plus coffees and juices. Our table was large and the seats were very comfortable. We lost track of time and stayed for two hours. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the noise level was minimal. My friend's cocktail was brought over promptly. Our orders followed soon after. My friend very much enjoyed her flavorful margarita. She also enjoyed the kale salad with crispy fried chicken breast, Tuscan kale, romaine hearts, cabbage, spiced chickpeas, parmesan, and classic Caesar dressing. I thought my sweet Hibiscus tea paired well with the smoked salmon with multigrain toast, dill & onion cream cheese, tomato, red onion, arugula, & everything bagel seasoning. Our dessert was brought to our table at the exact perfect time. I could write a whole review on the bread pudding. It was great! This warm and gooey delicious dessert was topped with slivered almonds. We thoroughly enjoyed it as one of the best bread puddings we've ever had. I think I'll have a Cappuccino and bread pudding on my next visit. And I won't be sharing! It will be difficult choosing a dessert on my next visit since they have a very tempting selection of fresh pies made by the local Proud Pie Company, which is now part of Dish Society. My salmon plate was very pricey around $26 with the two "premium" sides. I liked ordering at the counter and choosing my own table. Sitting outside in the fresh air was a great choice while being on lunch break. The salmon was quite tasty but not for me. I did not finish it. The Brussels Sprouts were not Brussel sprouts. They were leaves. This was very disappointing as I spent the extra $3 on them as mentioned. The winner of the lunch was the Mac and cheese. However, I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, because the coffee dip that the dish normally comes with tasted different from what I remembered. It didn't have a strong coffee taste like before, and was just more like a sweet runny caramel dip. The chicken tortilla soup was not warm nor hot, and it was super salty as well. I was quite disappointed and instantly regretted ordering this. The brisket stuffed sweet potato was good, and the portion was huge! Definitely took this home for dinner. The hot chicken sandwich and fries were also excellent which we had no complaints about. Just wish the soup was better and the beignet dip was the way it used to be! Redemption. I got the poke bowl a few weeks ago (lent) and was sorely disappointed. It was in desperate need of texture and spice. However, it is my fault for getting poke at a brunch restaurant. I had the Watermelon Sugar drink tasted more like a cucumber than a watermelon. It's a serve yourself kind of place. You go and place your own order. Went to the Katy location food was great we ordered the shrimp and grits and the grilled pesto chicken sandwich. The sandwich could have had a little less goat cheese but overall good sandwich. The shrimp with grits was great egg cooked perfectly and the sauce was seasoned very well! The service was nice and they were fast. The manager was very engaged with the patrons. This was my first time here and I must say, I loved it. First of all, the staff was so nice and the customer service was top notch. It was so nice to see that. The restaurant is very well laid out and nice. I really enjoyed it. So I got a BLT with an egg on it and fries. It was one of the best BLT's I have ever had and the egg is awesome on it. The fries were so well seasoned and tasted amazing. The only thing I didn't love, was the weird choice of soft drinks, it was all Mexican type flavors but no biggie. We got the pretzel sticks with queso and we added some veggies and it was so good. Off the chain yummy. Very impressed. My friend has a salad with pecans and salmon and a sweet potato and the salad looked and tasted wonderful. My friend has celiac disease and this dish was perfect for her. I really like the food here. The brightness of the place is also great! The drinks were good and the I ate up every last bite. My friend and I sat there for a while and talked while everyone else left within an hour. The employee cleared out dishes and tried to clear our glasses but I was still drinking. Maybe ask me if I am done drinking, kind of rude! Felt like she was pushing us out but it wasn't busy and there were a ton of open tables (it's not a wait staff so I already tipped at the register.) Yesterday my daughter and I popped in for dinner. They were out of homemade chips, which is totally understand able, but the girl said if you want another side there will be an up charge. I just kind of stool there thinking, ok yall are out of the side that comes with it but you want to "up charge" for another side? So we paid and immediately, and I'm not being a karen I swear, but immediately we noticed the place was filthy. Like disgusting. Food on the floors, seats stained with food, doors to the bathroom had like black gunk from where people have pushed them open time and time again, and they've never been cleaned. The bathrooms were gross. It was just disgusting and disappointing. The food was "ok". I haven't been in awhile but it used to be a nice place. Not so much anymore. read more

I went last night and am confident I got food poisoning from the grilled chicken I added to the veggie grain bowl. It tasted a little off when I bit into it but I consumed because I normally have a good experience with Dish Society. I can forgive restaurants for food issues if they're willing to show some empathy or take some accountability for it. I emailed Dish Society to let them know what happened only to receive a response from the owner that read: At this time, you are the only guest who has contacted us with concerns related to anything consumed at our restaurant. Our team conducts thorough product quality and temperature checks every four hours throughout the day, and we've confirmed that all checks yesterday, including for our chicken, were within compliance. Food safety is something we take very seriously, and we want to ensure we investigate this as thoroughly as possible. Do you happen to have any known food allergies or sensitivities? For example, soy is a common sensitivity, and both our grilled and fried chicken may come into contact with shared surfaces that contain soy. While they did express sympathy that I was sick, I was genuinely taken aback by how dismissive the response felt. The implication that my experience was invalid because no one else reported being sick--and the suggestion that a food allergy might explain what happened, rather than anything on their end--was frustrating. It's not just about the food. It's about how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. This experience left me disappointed in a place I used to enjoy. read more
