    Traditional Breakfast
    Leah W.

I've tried Dish Society a few times to go, but dining in made my experience much better! I kept it simple and went with the traditional breakfast and substituted the toast that it usually comes with for a house made biscuit, and the fruit for the gouda grits. My food was very good. Those gouda grits absolutely stole the show and I can see why they are so popular!!! The bacon was crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that while the biscuit was buttery and had great flavor, I believe it was somewhat over baked as it was more on the chewy side rather than fluffy. Other than that everything was great! I can't wait to come back just for the grits alone!!

The waffle has zero flavor it was just straight flour I didn't bother sending it back but it was not edible I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The chicken tenders had zero seasoning at all just bland chicken. My espresso Martin and beignets were the only good thing.

Dish Society offers an amazing varieties of healthy and tasty food. Almost tastes like home cook and can tell on the quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere provides a clean, modern, and calm environment suitable for a fun brunch experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and quick. Worth to try especially in this area!

Katy location: Trust me when I say EVERYTHING was top notch from service to food...excellent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location offered great food with a welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles by both the managers and the wait staff. The team was incredibly friendly and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved is that there's seating both indoors and outdoors, so you can enjoy the beautiful weather while dining, especially this time of year when the holiday decorations are up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is perfectly situated right in front of the central green space so my niece could play within view while we relaxed and enjoyed our meals, a total win-win![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, about the food... Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS and packed with flavor. It's hard to pick just one dish to recommend, but if I had to, I'd say the cauliflower bites were my fav and are a definite must try. Perfectly seasoned with a little spicy kick. The beignets were another standout...light, crispy, and not overly sweet; plus it came with a little dipping sauce. I had the kale and mushroom pasta dish which was heaven for this pasta-loving girl. It was fresh and full of bold flavors. You could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite (and the added shrimp were HUGE). Don't forget to grab a matcha latte. I had the lavender flavor and it was the perfect balance of sweetness. Highly recommend as well.

Shrimp & Grits with an over hard egg. French toast, a side of biscuit and an oat milk latte!

I have been a loyal Dish Society fan since 2018, and I keep coming back because everything they serve is fantastic, so it was time for a review. Their biscuits are absolutely delicious, and the shrimp and grits are always so tasty. I also love their lattes, perfectly crafted every time, and I adore that they always try to make cute latte art. The only thing I wish is that they'd have a calorie count on those biscuits...if anyone finds out, please let me know! Haha. Dish Society has earned a permanent spot on my list of brunch spots for their consistency.

We stopped by this morning for a quick breakfast after a long drive. The kids were excited to stretch their legs and run around outside before and after our meal. The food was great and was served in reasonable serving sizes -- enough to get us full but not to the point of feeling gross. Everything tasted fresh! Everyone was accommodating and helpful, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place felt clean and bright -- it was a great breakfast experience for the whole family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm so thankful my friend recommended this place. Can't wait to be back!

    Matcha Martini

Andrew the bartender made my friend and me an absolutely delicious matcha martini, customized exactly to our request! It was so good that it deserves a spot on the menu. Not only was the drink amazing, but Andrew was also one of the sweetest and most attentive bartenders we've had. He made the experience even better with his friendly personality and great service. Highly recommend asking for him!

While visiting the La Centerra Farmers Market, my family and I decided to try Dish Society, a Southern-style restaurant known for brunch and casual fare. Service at the counter was unwelcoming and unhelpful, which set a disappointing tone. We ordered a kid's breakfast platter, hot chicken sandwich, side pancake, and black beans. (I know some odd items but our youngest likes to snack). Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The chicken sandwich was overly salty with an extremely greasy bun, the pancake was dry and lacked flavor, and the black beans had an unusual taste. Only the kid's platter was somewhat enjoyable and 1/3 of it seemed to be jelly. Though I appreciate the hard work behind restaurant service, the overall experience did not justify the cost, and none of us left satisfied.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot for brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was all very solid. I quite enjoyed my shakshouka and tater tots!

Update. Went to Dish Society for lunch and ordered the Texas Hot Chicken Sandwich and the deconstructed chicken pot pie. Like it is rare to find a place that doesn't miss!!!!!! The chicken pot pie was so soooo good. Tasted like someone's grandma was back there and whipped that up. The Texas hot chicken sandwich was so soooo good. Usually some chicken sandwiches aren't seasoned or fried good. Not the case with this sandwich. The chicken was fried to perfection and seasoned oh so good. And can we talk about bang for buck??? The portion sizes were huge. I definitely had leftovers for two days!!! This is going to be a staple for me while in Houston!

I normally like it here, but I'm not sure what happened today. I ask for a 9 ounce glass of wine $13 and I was given this... they run out of wine glasses?? I ask if this was correct and they said yes, it's just the different glass. Food was cold as well. Hopefully is not the new norm.

    Coconut Cream Pie, YUM!!

After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

To address the 4 star, part of the knock on the star comes from little things throughout the night. First, we waited quite a bit to be served. To no fault of our waitress it looked like she had been pulled to handle other things. The hostess ended up taking our order for sandy and then she took it from there. Also, another waitress Jada stepped in as well to help and made sure we were good. This was very nice of them. Again, our waitress was not a problem, but logistically if she had tables you could see her physically having to handle other things so its not like she just went missing. The restaurant has a great vibe. There was a pianist playing and the lights were intimately low. The chef also came over and introduced himself which is pretty cool. On to the food: The oyster Rockefeller first course was delicious. Creamy, spinach, oyster with a bit of a zing from the sauce Next we had the heritage tasting plate and the oxtail tacos. The oxtail tacos had a bit too much lettuce for my liking but my fiancee enjoyed it. Savory, hers didnt have as much lettuce as mine, so if youre not a lettuce fan you could he rolling the dice here. The heritage tasting plate was good. Camel, kangaroo, and rabbit. I loved the kangaroo a ton. Who knew? The camel was very good too it had a ground turkey type if texture. The kangaroo tasted like stewed beef roast. Very good. Finally, the rabbit, as I've had this before, was good rabbit. Its like a chicken ish flavor to it. For the next course we had the lamb chops and suya ribeye. The lamb chops were flavorful and the green beans on both dishes were good and tender. The suya ribeye had good suya flavor. We barely touched the mashed potatoes and jollof because we were so full. The bite of jollof that I did have was traditional flavored jollof. Pretty good. We got the peri peri shrimp with the lamb chops and they were ok, but not anything to write home about. We were expecting that peri peri burst of flavor like the lamb chops had. To finish off the meal we both got the creme brulee. Id say this missed a bit. The brulee didnt have your traditional hard top of bruleed sugar. The sugary portion tasted a bit burnt. Not the traditional brulee burnt but a stronger burnt sugar flavor. All in all a great experience and we would go back and do this again.

Well this is my go-to brunch spot to bring all my out-of-towners. I can't believe I don't still…read morehave a review posted in the system! Let me start by saying I've been here multiple, multiple times & I've never had any food items that weren't good. I always get breakfast (even if it's lunch time) so I don't know much about the lunch items. Not only is the food outstanding with a creative twist, it's consistent. Over the years, the place has expanded several times so now there is a decent amount of dine-in seating in addition to the outdoor seating. The place still stays packed but with their wait list in advance/text notification system & efficiency in seating customers, if there is a wait things move along smoothly. Additionally, anyone who is waiting knows it's worth the wait!! The service staff are friendly. The atmosphere is homey & they decorate for the various holidays & seasons. Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! Tips: - Use the text message wait list & signup before you leave your house. - You can always get 1 pancake on the side for $5. - 15% gratuity is included at checkout, as you pay you'll get options for an additional % or custom % like 0%, 3, 5% or more.

Plenty of parking in the lot. Cute and homey decor. Very big menu that accommodates different…read moredietary needs including vegetarian, vegan and keto. Service was friendly and the food was good. I am not vegan but got the portobello mushroom sandwich was tasty. I also enjoyed the lavender berry lemonade.
