But what really stood out was the customer service. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and David, the manager, went above and beyond. He was incredibly patient and helpful, especially since it was my first time visiting. He took the time to explain the menu and made sure I had everything I needed. I'm so glad I decided to eat here. I gave this location a few more chances since my first visit and have a slightly improved impression of the food. It isn't the best Peri Peri I have had, but it isn't the worst. During my most recent visit, I had the quarter chicken breast (meaning it is with the wing) and stuck with the Mango & Lime sauce. Additionally, I ordered the Halloumi Sticks with Chili Jam. For my drink, I chose the bottemless option. I only drank their Peach Roiboos Iced Tea each time. What a nice treat my lunch was today! This restaurant is at the forefront section of La Centerra in Cinco Ranch. It's clean, bright and inviting! There is a menu outside to look over and this is actually where the owner himself saw me pondering and kindly invited me in with notions of grandeur from what their food choices! This was my first time so this was such a perfect intro to a new place! I ordered the rainbow bowl and the wings and was graciously seated at a table. We stopped by La Centerra in Cinco Ranch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good. We were seated right away and the server asked us if we had come before. I loved that there are different ordering options, and the vibes were awesome. the interior design was beautiful. I got the chicken plate with mac and brussel sprouts. Spectacular sides. The chicken was juicy. We also got the rainbow bowl and the pineapple lemonade. Both were good. We visited the DC one twice and found it underwhelming. This Nando's experience was awesome! However, the sandwich portion was extremely small with less chicken than a Chickfila sandwich. The bread was dry as well. I paid extra for brussel sprouts for my side, which I did enjoy, but spending $15 for this meal (excluding tip - which is automatically 15% on the screen) at a fast casual restaurant is not worth it when other options are nearby with better/more food for less. My boyfriend and I have come 4 times, we try to order different things form the menu and every time the food is delicious! All their handhelds are great their spice levels are perfect if you want something not too spicy, or if you want something veryyy spicy. Their customer service has been good too. Once you walk in, you'll be asked where you'd like to sit but once you sit down you're on your own. The menus are given, but then you are told to order on your phone, which was interesting to figure out. The menu has many options depending on what you'd like, and when it comes to the chicken you can always choose what heat level you'd like. We chose the butterflied chicken with two sides. I chose the coleslaw and French fries, with my chicken being hot. And my boyfriend chose the butterflied chicken with the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. He chose medium. The food came out fairly quickly. There is a bar area to get your silverware and any extras sauces you'd like, along with water. I really enjoyed the food! I went directly to a table and was sitting there for a while before someone informed me of the process to order. Either way the food is delivered to your table without a long wait. It took me a few minutes to figure this out, explanations the entry way would help. The food is absolutely great, the chicken is very tender and full of flavor. I hesitated to order the peas as my side but really glad that i did. It was one the best style of peas I've ever had. The servers and staff are friendly and attentive (almost too much) which really stands out. The restaurant is brilliantly lit with lots of colorful art on every wall. You also need to go to the side of the restaurant to get utensils, napkins, and different kinds of peri peri sauces. I ordered the half chicken (hot) and it was very good! The chicken was tender and extremely flavorful. The side I chose was their mac and cheese and my only regret was that the portion should've been bigger. It was perfectly creamy and the added breadcrumbs highlighted the dish. The hummus was also amazing and I liked their addition of their peri peri sauce. Nando's is a "quick casual" restaurant with menu options to satisfy most hunger (and heat) levels. I was eager to try the peri-peri flavor, and I was impressed. I ended up ordering the Spicy Chicken Caesar Wrap with a side of peri chips (fries) and peri ranch. The toasted chickpeas inside the wrap added a nice little crunch. The meal was a perfect portion to be filling but not make me too full. I went with Medium for my spice level, and it had a good zing without having to gulp down water between every bite. The peri ranch was great! It was a little tangy and a generous portion which helps justify the $1 cost for the side of ranch. My biggest complaint about my experience was with service. First, I was somewhat confused by the process. I had to wait to be seated and allowed to go up to the sauce counter to sample the spiciness of sauces. However, I then had to go order at the counter. Second, the cashier was not great at answering my questions about the menu--he told me that the thigh skewers would be chewy so to go with the wrap instead when I asked which was a more popular item. The cashier also did not know the beers on the menu nor how to add them to my bill. He was friendly, but just very green and not too concerned about it. After ordering I had to go pickup my own utensils, napkins, and water from the side counter, but before I could even finish that my food was on a plate in the hands of a server. He walked up to me and asked if I wanted my food at my table. Odd question... I said yes, and he set it down while I finished gather my utensils. I never had another interaction the rest of my meal with any employees. The food was unique and flavorful, and I would definitely come back or invite coworkers.
