Tiny sauce cup for family chicken fried rice
    Kendall T.

. I've visited this restaurant three times now and unfortunately the experience has been consistently underwhelming. The service and communication could definitely be improved; asking basic questions about the menu or looking for guidance felt a bit uncomfortable, as if it was an inconvenience to the staff. During my most recent visit, I was even told my order was "weird," which threw me off. They were also out of sauce, which made a noticeable difference because the rice was pretty dry and really needed that added flavor. Without it, the dish tasted a bit like leftovers. The chicken was cooked well and smelled great, but the flavor didn't quite match the aroma. I really wanted to like this place, and I gave it multiple tries, but the overall experience just hasn't been what I hoped for.

Hello! I am updating my review since the last time I came. My last review was from 2019, I used to work in the area and would be a frequent customer for lunch. It was always delicious and the portion sizes were awesome. The salad was always fresh, inside was clean and organized. Usually the service was like chipotle where you order and they take the chicken out right in front of you and give you your sides. Fast forward to 2025--- I came a few times but the last time I came was not the best experience. Now when you order- they pack your food up for you and don't show you the food in front of you. Which is fine but man the portions are smaller now, and the sides are not as fresh. We got the Caesar salad and it tasted so old and the lettuce was all wilted. I had to throw it away. As for the sauces they used to give, they gave us 2 sauces and they were both watered down. I feel like the quality definitely went down here which makes me sad.

    Cash payment savings.

I came here to try the food through the App TooGoodToGo where you can get food at a discount. I go inside and tell them how many box I ordered through TooGoodToGo and they start packing the food for me. It is usually an order of the chicken, some rice, beans, and plantain. I would order a drink from them if they have it. It's a nice fast casual restaurant, it's really clean feel and the temperature is good not too cold inside. This place also serve halal food here.

bruhhhh, I have eaten this on meal prep for the last two weeks. I'll order a family style meal that comes with two whole chickens (they cut it up for you), and 4 sides. Keep in mind, Yucca fries run out fast, potatoes are the number one seller. When you order, they often forget one item. If you are door dashing or ordering online, keep in mind when they run out, you will need to substitute something. You aren't the only one that wants to order here, and they know it. They will call you, and you better pick up! or else your DoorDash driver will sub it for whatever they want. They missed something out of my order like 3x/ now, but im still coming back because that chicken is smacking!!!! The plantains, broooo heavenly! Potatoes - highly recommend, and make sure you get some sauces on the side too!! I like the beans, I think it's flavorful for sure. Am I coming back? Hell yeaaaaaa I am! like next week!

Great option for me to switch things up a little on a Thursday. Stopped in around 5 and the place was empty and the staff was welcoming. The place is very spacious and well lite. It's cafeteria style so there's no wait to get your food. I got the 1/4 chicken, rice, veggies and fries. Overall the food was great. I would recommend to anyone for sure.

Hi, I ordered the chicken saltado. my son Is allergic to tree nuts and sesame. I need to know if its safe for him to eat the chicken?

Hello, while that dish doesn't have any seeds. We do use sesame seed oil on 1 dish and there is always a small chance it could come in contact in the kitchen. We do our best to make all items separate but there is never a guarantee.

I believe the chef also cooks for the Peruvian embassy here sometimes in Houston. The inside of their restaurant is decorated in a very intimate way with cultural aspects from the two countries. You already know I HAD to get ceviche when coming to a Peruvian restaurant. I got the ceviche chalaco, which includes mahi-mahi, octopus, shrimp, racoto-aji leche de Tigre, choclo, sweet potato puree, cancha, topped with fried cuttlefish. It has a nice citrus flavor and the leche de Tigre base is soo good. I actually really liked the mahi-mahi, and the fried cuttlefish was fried to perfection with the fish inside still being soft and delicious. That sweet potato puree really elevates the dish as well, it helps counter the citrus flavor but adds another dimension of flavor. My friend got the lomo saltado and it was so so good. The beef was so tender and easy to chew. The soy-oyster sauce they use makes this dish soooo so good. I love the steak fries drenched with the sauce too. I got the arroz con Mariscos. I remember they used to put squid ink in the rice back then. They infuse the rice with aji Amarillo (green pepper sauce?) and top it with shrimp, clams, mussels, octopus, cod, and sarza criolla (vinegar onions). It's basically a seafood paella. This was actually pretty mild in flavor compared to the lomo saltado. The rice was good and almost creamy like but I don't think I was a fan of the corn/bean like pieces in the rice? The seafood itself was good as well, especially the shrimp. If you come here you need to for sure get the ceviche and lomo saltado. They also have sushi rolls that you can order as well, they seem like very unique ones too

Why it took me so long to get here however is a mystery to me because it's a lovely restaurant. I don't mean by that the ambience it's actually rather plain however the service and the food is absolutely spectacular. I'm by no means an expert in Peruvian food however the patrons were buying for Peruvian hence I'm going to take their presence as a statement about authenticity of the food and a 12 year history. They don't sell alcohol so all of their profits are from dishes, which are absolutely spectacular. We had something a kin to an empanada, which was made with beef deep fried, but the crust was very white and very flavorful. The server gave me a side dip which added some spice to the meal however, before putting it on, I ate some without the dip and it was very flavorful. Potatoes, rice and beans are a large part of Peruvian cuisine all of which I tasted here all of which were very, very good. We got basically a sampler tray which included ceviche beef, chicken, and a potato bean combination, which was just wonderful. The waiter was kind enough to point it out to us and I'm glad he did because it was a great overview of what Peruvian food is. Since I'm not familiar with the cuisine rather than spend a great deal of time addressing it what I'm going to tell you is, it is a wonderful restaurant, the service is equally wonderful, BYOB and enjoy yourself. I will not let so much time go again before I revisit this fine Restaurant. It was a pleasure.
