I have to say unfortunately, while the server was very nice and it was a nice ambiance, overall my meal was lackluster. I ended up getting the pad woon sen - the glass noodles - and it was very bland. It also came out lukewarm. It had nice chunks of egg in it but overall, it didn't have much flavor. When I got home and heated the left overs, I added some soy sauce and lime to kick it up a notch and that helped. I'm not sure what happened there but maybe because it was a slow night, I just wasn't impressed. Maybe to there are other great menu items to try so maybe I'll be back! read more

1. Service - Service is nice and swift. They'll get the job done, and they'll refill your glasses as soon as they see it go down. I didn't even have to call them over for a refill. This is a-la-carte, so you wait to be-seated, order, and pay at the table. 2. Price - Very reasonably price. Most dishes were about $8-$15. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of their menu, but the prices has gone up compared to the menu that is currently posted by Yelpers. The most recent menu prices on here at the moment is of July 26, 2020. Prices has gone up since then. 3. Ambiance - the outside door and interior is beautifully decorated with wood panels. There is a great deal of Thai culture decor in the restaurant. It's a small place, but it gives you a sense that you are not in Houston. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - They have lunch specials available from Mon - Fri between 11am-2:30pm. So the portions are cheaper, but also smaller. Regular entrée portions are massive. Based on my first visit, I've ordered their THAI FRIED RICE w/CHICKEN. I loved it. Some people may say that this is bland, however, this is exactly what I wanted. This is like home cook fried rice to me. It's not brown or salted with soy sauce. It's white rice and lightly seasoned with some salt. Perfect for what I wanted that day. If you have a salty tongue, you may think otherwise. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was clean, and they were on top of their tables. Dirty dishes on the table were not left unattended for more than 5 minutes. I've really enjoyed my first experience, and will definitely come back for more. Overall (go food )was pretty good but unfortunately I bit into an unidentifiable plastic object which damaged my back tooth requiring dental work. This place has really good food for a really good price. I usually go for lunch and they have a different special every day. The first time that I went I ordered the drunken noodles. It was delicious. I wasn't a big fan of Thai food till I ate here. I dont know what sauce they used on the drunken noodles, but it was very good. It came out hot and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The second time that I went I ordered the vegetable egg rolls and the chicken Lettuce wraps. The egg rolls was very good and the sauce that they served with them complemented them very well. The chicken Lettuce wraps were also very good. And even though it was an appetizer portion, it was plenty for my meal. I even had leftovers. The Lettuce was fresh and crispy. I'll be back very soon to try something else on the menu. Today, 7/30/23, my wife and I stopped to eat lunch with my 4 year daughter, while we were waiting for our order my daughter was playing with few sugar packets under our supervision, and one of the wait stuff (not even our waiter) grabbed the package from my daughter's hands rudely which tremendously scared my daughter and told my daughter she can't play with those packages even more rudely. I had the option of calling the police to arrest the waiter for doing such act to a 4 year old child that but I stayed calm, comforted my daughter and decided to walk away and not eat there. I use to frequent pinto Thai quite a bit as I was living fairly close to it. But since I had moved last year, I hadn't been to pinto Thai for almost a year and a half, till recently. I am not sure what happened to the service and quality of food from the previous visits. Perhaps a change in management? We came here for lunch and the restaurant was empty. We seated ourselves and a young waiter came to take our orders. We went with a Thai chili beef and a basil fried rice with shrimp. The serving size were very small/petite. I almost felt like as if I was eating a kid's meal. We got spice level 4, and yes the food was hot and spicy, yet lacking taste. There was nothing that stood out about the dishes except that they looked like some protein stir fried with veggies and served with rice. There was no "soul" in the food. I hated the fact that they were not enough protein. Our service was very slow. I did not see the waiter till it was time for our checks. At that time, he got us our refills. We were ready to get the heck out of there. As there are numerous amounts of Thai restaurants in the city, this was probably my last visit to Pinto Thai. read more

We got takeout from Pinto Thai on a Wednesday evening. It was not busy and they were quick to prep the food. Everything was packaged well and easy to find. We were satisfied with our choices. None of the dishes were very spicy, so if we go again in the future, we will ask for a higher spice level. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than what other Thai restaurants in the area offer - their prices are a bit cheaper too, however. The cheese rolls were okay, but my pad woon sen was really cold when i got it. it didn't have enough flavor and is probably one of the worser plates of pad woon sen i've had. I tried the yellow curry and it was soooo good, id definitely order that instead. Great food and good for families. Food was so good and we were starving we didn't get a pic of it before it was mostly devoured. Yummy chicken Tom Yum. Great Basil beef & great Pad Thai (and they listened to my modification with no bean sprouts!). Chicken dumpling appetizer was a hit with the kids & we got mango sticky rice as takeout. My wife and I love to order their Thai special dishes. We just asked the waitstaff and they usually came back or one of the owners would with the rundown on what they have. For other good stuff on the menu that we like is the Crispy noodle, which I only recommend to consume at the restaurant. It would not taste as good when you order as take-out. I have been eating Thai food for years and I will say this is one of the best Red curries I have ever had! The flavor and spice level were on point. I always order yellow curry and pad se ew- and plan to eat off it for a few meals. The yellow curry was pretty average but I called to order (don't use grub hub) and clearly said chicken, my ticket clearly said chicken but I received shrimp in the curry. Which is annoying in and of itself because i didn't realize til I got all the way home. Then I called and she challenged me! I was appalled. But it was clearly shrimp in the curry anyone could see. They never seem to be slammed during lunch so it offers a great quiet lunch spot for me near the office when I have a noodle or curry craving. Their Pad Thai comes either spicy or regular, both great, just depends on what you like. Spicy here isn't face melting hot, but it'll get the sinuses running if you're not careful. Also, lunch specials come with a soup, side salad and fried spring roll in case the plate of noodles alone isn't enough. Service has always been friendly and quick.
