Found this place on DoorDash and figured I'd give it a try. I ordered the cilantro shrimp soup. I really liked the flavor however I wish it was thicker and less lemon. I also ordered the crab wontons, now those were amazing. I paid about $31 for two soups and an order of wontons which wasn't too bad. If im ever in the area and craving Thai food I think I would try this place again.

Really enjoyed my time here! My partner always raves about the Tom Yum soup. Even though I didn't get to try it, I thought the quality and service was good here. Staff was very friendly and attentive and atmosphere was nice and quiet. It was Valentine's day and they had a valentine's special. I ended up going with the yellow curry, which wasn't bad. I had a medium spice level and that was decently spicy. They added bamboo, but they went a bit much on the bamboo, so it was kind of overwhelming and took over the potato and carrot chunks. So that there was maybe 4 chunks of potato. I know that's kind of picky, but I love potatoes and was kind of let down when I only saw a few pieces. Overall, the meal was still delicious though! We also ended up getting the mango sticky rice, which was really good. There was a sweet sauce on top that I really enjoyed. We will probably be back!

Good food with spicy ending :) Service and ambience: Clean and organised restaurant. The menu was easy to navigate and offered good selection of traditional dishes as well as options that are not on every Thai restaurant menu. Our server was friendly and helpful. Food and drinks: We ordered two appetisers and two mains. - Appetisers: the chicken spring rolls had very nice filling and were well seasoned. The blackened shrimp was okay but not my favourite. - Mains: Khao Soi was very good. Perfect spiciness, nice soft noodle, balanced flavours and tender chicken. Tom Kha soup was very tasty too, however, it lacked more lemon grass flavour. Overall, all foods were very good. They offer alcohol beverages to accompany your dining experience. Pricing: The items were priced fairly for the quality served.

I was near this area of town and was hungry around lunch time. I remembered that there was a large concentration of Thai restaurants in the area, and this became my choice, partially because I was intrigued that there was a weekday appetizer buffet. It was mildly busy when I arrived. The waitress was super nice and asked if it was my first time here, which I told her it was. She explained that I could order one of the $15 lunch special items, and the appetizer buffet would come free. Awesome. I noticed that the $15 included chicken, tofu, and veggie for your protein. Beef or shrimp was $3 more. I went ahead and ordered my go to pad prik king with chicken. After ordering, I went ahead and scoped out the appetizer buffet. Available only during lunch time, It's really split into two sections--fried appetizers, and salad with desserts. The fried appetizers were slightly disappointing and was a hodgepodge of fried apps... dumplings, crab wontons, egg rolls, tempura shrimp and tempura veggies. None of them really stood out as incredibly tasty, and they felt more Chinese and Japanese inspired. I do admire that they had a whole lot of dipping sauces to choose from. There was also a hot and sour soup available that was definitely on the sour side. The dessert and salad side of the buffet offered seaweed salad, edamame, and mixed green lettuce along with fresh cut fruit and mini cupcakes. The star of the show though, was the Thai tea soft serve ice cream! So delish and cooling after a spicy meal! Speaking of the meal, it was slightly disappointing. The white meat chicken was on the dry side. I wish they would use the Chinese method of "velveting" their chicken to create a more pleasing moist and soft texture. The sauce, while spicy enough, lacked the depth of flavors I usually enjoy in this dish. It was a bit muted. I prefer a lot of fish sauce and a hint of sweetness, but I understand that the food here is probably cooked and seasoned for a more western palate. Of course I checked into Yelp and redeemed my free Thai tea! It was super sweet! I would let this dilute down a bit before enjoying it. This would usually fall in the three star category, but the super nice and attentive staff plus the awesome soft serve Thai tea ice cream bumps it up to a four!

Decent Thai food for the area! I'd round up to 3.5 stars. My biggest complaint would be the service and how long it took to get our food. I had to get up and ask someone to take our order. The food took a while to come out so the apps and entrees all came out at once. We started off with the chicken spring rolls and the Tom kha soup. Both were ok. I got the yellow curry with chicken which was delicious and my friend got the pad Thai which she said she enjoyed. There's other Thai restaurants in the area so I would say this isn't a must.

This place has some amazing food. We dropped in late one evening receiving a very friendly greeting by the same person that ultimately took our order. I ordered the red curry with shrimp which easily compares to the best I've ever eaten, anywhere. The curry had the perfect amount of spice and flavor that may cause you to hum while you eat. I was surprised at the amount of large shrimp in my bowl. I'm a fried rice lover and they do a fantastic job of delivering it to your table hot and flavorful. The restaurant is spacious and located a small shopping center with plenty parking which is always a plus for me. Easy in and out for outstanding food.

The owners were very nice and gave me free complimentary veggie tacos which were very delicious! The place was nice and quiet and the server was very professional.

The plus side (#1) is the abundant parking, practically guaranteed seating, and options that skew on the more authentic side of things. The downside is knowing the limitations that come with affordably priced buffets and quality of food. The official entrance is from the parking lot between Vinh Hoa (#2) and the massage. Plenty of folks will also enter from the back, which is through the Dynasty Plaza mall and takes a bit longer. It then becomes a question of stairs (parking lot) versus an escalator (mall). At $18-24 (lunch to holiday pricing), the prices aren't too steep for AYCE food. Kids 3 and under eat free but are otherwise subject to $13-14 per person. Non-water drinks are $2.39 a person, so definitely get as many refills as possible. The place is as massive on the inside as it looks on the outside. Window side seating offers an elevated view of Chinatown, but don't focus too much on the excessive finger prints along the windows. The seating is so abundant that almost any size group should have zero problem finding space. There is also a large private room that is ideal for special functions, equipped with TVs and a sound system. Food wise, it's a hodgepodge of all food types. Here's a breakdown in the stations: Mongolian Grill / Noodle Soup: This is a combo station where one can customize their stir fry. I had decent results with lo mein, an egg, some vegetables with beef slices. The person cooking drizzled sesame oil, soy sauce seasoning, and water and each time it took around 3-5 minutes. The noodle soups are a bit more standard but the options here are the noodle options are wonton noodle, beef noodle, seafood noodle, and beef pho. I wouldn't recommend ordering the latter. Fruits & Salads / Cold Dishes / Seafood: A standard selection of cold fruit salads, which is unsurprisingly the least exciting part of the buffet. I'm impressed with the variety of the sushi on the seafood end, but the presentation and fish quality is extremely mediocre. It won't deter most folks, since most people perceive value by loading up on the rolls. When in doubt, shoot for the sashimi. Entrees: With the exception of the eyesore dim sum and standard fried food selection, there is a solid selection of hot food. The weekend offerings is probably the best they'll have, but some standouts here included the thin ribeye slices, a solid mapo tofu with a kick, well seasoned clams, fish slices, pork spare ribs, a very solid steamed fish, and several varieties of fried noodle. Folks might enjoy the Chinese-American selection, which should have all the classics (sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, marinated chicken wings, etc.) and then some. Serviced as a decent job of clearing tables, offering water refills, cleaning the food counters, and replenishing empty trays. I appreciate some small touches, such as their multicolored plates for different selections, bathrooms, and well marked labels. Buffet lovers who are in it for the thrill of copious portions will likely enjoy what's available here. __________ (#1) Aside from one's waistline. (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/vinh-hoa-houston
