I'll keep it quick: - Tom Kha: Delicious. I will have to restrain myself to not order it next time - Drunken Noodles: Best in the area? - Red curry: Better than the green - Green curry: So-so. The ambiance is nice, and I love that they are open relatively late to the other restaurants on this part of Memorial Drive. They only have one waiter working at lunch time, which got EXTREMELY busy. He had his hands full, and we waited 20 mins for the check. Nice guy, but he couldn't talk long! The gratuity was automatically included on the check. I'm not sure that the waiter keeps the tip.

I ordered a chicken pad see ew for takeout. It was pretty standard. I think it could've been a bit more saucy and flavorful. I like mine to have a nice spicy kick. The chicken was regular old white meat. The portion was an okay amount for the price I paid. The inside of the restaurant has nice decor, so I think it'd be a cute date night spot.

Planning a trip to Thailand and HRWeeks? You gather the team and head here. We stuck to the dinner menu and experienced a wealth of options with appetizers ranging from chive cakes (oh my) to crab dumplings there was plenty to enjoy. Our mains involved tender steak and slow cooked braised beef over some zingy egg noodles that filled the stomach and the soul. Even dessert was delicious and stunning with the lemon cake taking a backseat to the mango mouse in a chocolate globe. This was an outstanding HRW find.

We ate here for lunch. We ordered chicken tom kha, Panang curry chicken, and crab fried rice. I really liked the rice because they have big lumps of crabmeat. Their place is small but decorative. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We definitely will come back to try their other menu items.

Always great food!! Has been my go to for Thai in the far west Memorial area. All the dish I've had are nothing short of excellent. Green Curry is my favorite, with Massaman coming in with a close second. Spring rolls with shrimp were as good as any I've had at the Vietnamese restaurants. The Green Pipaya Salad is outstanding and "hot". I suggest you stay away from "Thai Hot" at Zaab Der, it's VERY hot, enough to kill your taste buds for the evening.

Great food at reasonable price! The atmosphere is also really nice and good vibes all around. You can also customize your spiciness here. The waiter/waitress are nice too. Check out the pictures of me and my wife's meal.

Ordered the drunken noodles. Came with a large patty of 8 on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty. Plenty of parking and dark ambient lighting. Food was pretty good. Would consider coming again if I wanted Thai and I was in the area.

Don't let the somewhat forbidding surroundings and interior deter. Located in a Class-B type strip mall along Dairy Ashford, south of I-10, this place surprises one pleasantly. Despite the dated 1980s decor and less than pleasing furniture, the welcome was warm and service prompt. Ordered Thai iced coffee, Isan Sausage, and Veg Soft Rolls as starters, followed by Tofu Prik Khing, Chicken Red Curry, and Tofu Green Curry for mains. Food arrived promptly and was tasty and plentiful - spice levels were on point (ordered "spicy"). Overall, a satisfying dinner that set us back $82 including an 18% tip. Worth frequenting if one is in one area.

Tum tad, very fresh and delicious

The food here is extremely flavorful and the presentation is just as good! I've had several dishes here but my favorite so far was the steak curry! A nice tender steak in very delicious broth. The idea sounded unique to me and I've been blow away by it since giving it a try. The pad see ew khaki soi are other favorites but honestly the meat in all every dish on the menu is so tender that you can't go wrong with anything. I highly recommend the Esan sausage and the curry puffs as appetizers. The service here was excellent! It's get busy during the lunch hour but they've added extra help. The crew is always friendly and smiles and definitely attentive. My glass has never got below half. The place is always nice and clean! The decor is very nice as well and fits both the lunch and dinner setting. They did a great job with the decoration and color scheme. They don't offer cocktails but you can get a beer or two. Great food, great people and great time!

One of my go to spots for lunch! The food is straight forward (not fusion), and the portions are large. The staff here are always attentive and if something is wrong they fix it right away.

What a gem?! I was a bit skeptical when we first drove past the restaurant. It's really nice inside and the food was really good. It was Christmas Day but the server was really nice even though having to work on a holiday. I hope we get to come back again! Oh, the best thai tea ever!

The food is packed with Flavor and this is another hidden gem! In the Houston area. Staff was friendly and couldn't get enough of that fish!

I've only got to-go from here once, and from what I remember, the wait wasn't too bad. The parking is quite difficult since the lot is so small. To share, we got an order of crispy veggie spring rolls and a bowl of tom kha with chicken. Both always hit the spot. Some Thai spots make tom kha too salty but I think this one is seasoned well. We also ordered pad see ew and pad woon sen with tofu. So delicious! The portions are pretty generous, so we had a good amount to take home.

I ordered it with beef, and the beef was very tender and not dry at all. Furthermore, the overall dish has the wok hay flavor and was one of my favorite pad see ews I've ever had. Thai Iced Tea - it was your average thai iced tea where it wasn't mixed at first(which I think is a sign of authenticity!) and sweet at the perfect level with condensed milk. What makes this a four star was that the service was a little iffy in my opinion. Even though we were in a large group which makes it harder for waiters to order, the waiter stared at one of my friends and started mumbling despite him already ordering which made it pretty awkward.

Soft music, white and red walls with Thai decor. Natural lighting during the day with warm interior lighting. It appears that there has been a makeover to the restaurant. I like the new look more. It seems more upscale in appearance. Dress code here is business casual. 4. Food - I've had their YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND WHITE RICE. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. The Tom Kha had a lighter, more watery base than the rich coconut flavor I'm used to. I know this can vary by region, so it wasn't bad, just not my personal preference...The cream cheese crab wontons were decent and nicely presented. They also served a complimentary appetizer, which was a fun surprise, a taco shaped fried wonton wrapper filled with cabbage and their house dressing...Overall, if you're looking for a quick Thai bite with excellent service, this place works. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 not because it's bad, but because the flavors didn't quite match what I personally look for. For what it is, it's solid. -- Pilgrim Sojourner

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
