Is the food good? Yes Vibes good? Yes Staff friendly? Yes Good location? Yes It's also loud, not the best place for kids and date night. I enjoyed, the experience but for me, that's all it was, just an experience. A hype that I crossed off my list. Not a place I'll frequent.
We had a reservation for outdoor seats. It was comfortable but a little warm. I liked the chips and dip even thought I don't normally eat greens but my friends didn't enjoy it very much. My frozen drink was really good - not too sweet and pretty strong. The trad was good! a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Delicious. The vegetables were cauliflower and brussels sprouts, both winners. My friends got the Buka and the Golden I think. I really liked the Buka. My friend raved about the Golden. I think they preferred the Chopman to the Mule drinkwise. Again, service was quick! And we were well attended to despite being outside seating.
My friend had never been to any Chop n Block location so when we couldn't figure out where to eat after church, hitting up the restaurant was a no brainer. Our waiter was so knowledgable of the menu! He gave us the sampler which included the different rice and curry. After we tried the sample, all we did was tell him which we liked and he helped us assemble the most perfect bowl! :D Food was 10/10 My friend enjoyed and said the def be back. Only downside is the parking. Not the best setup.
Love this place! We've been here for a few times with friends for lunch and it always hits. The chips n dip come with a delicious Liberian Greens dip, slightly bitter in taste and incredible overall, with crispy plantain chips. We get this each time since it's so good! For the main dishes, we usually share the African Goddess salad with steak, Golden (my fav), Buka and the Aunty Mawa's. All the dishes come with some sort of rice and protein and you can sub or add as you please. Y'all the flavors on these dishes - it'll leave you wanting bite after bite after bite. There's nothing not good at this incredible place! Waitstaff is always friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a great aesthetic!
ChopnBlok was a really nice experience! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and seasoned well. You can definitely tell they put a lot of thought into the dishes and how the different flavors come together. The drink was the perfect frozen addition and paired really well with the food! The portions were good, the atmosphere was a whole vibe, and the service made the experience even better. Overall, everything was good and I'm glad I got to experience some West African-inspired food with a modern twist!
Simply amazing. Such a great introduction to West African food. I brought my two pickiest friends and they LOVED it. A life hack is to come during week for happy hour so you can get smaller portions of all the most popular dishes. And then you can order more of your favorites! Super kind staff that makes you feel like home and the environment/interior design makes it luxurious. I can't recommend this place enough.
This place was super packed during Saturday lunch, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Luckily, the host was able to squeeze my friend and I at the bar. Despite how packed and busy it was, the bartenders were super attentive throughout our entire visit. I ordered the following: 1. Coconut Chicken Bites: There was barely any coconut flavor. I would say this appetizer can be skipped as there was nothing particularly special about it. 2. Golden Bowl: Super delicious and easily the best dish I had here. Every bite was packed with so much flavor. I would definitely order this again! 3. Greens & Tings: This had a very smoky flavor, and the chicken was incredibly soft, tender, and tasty. Overall, I'm glad I got to try this restaurant, especially since it was my first time having West African cuisine.
So my partner and I came here for a happy hour cause it was close, had lots of food options, and we've been wanting to try it since forever (the samples at the location at Post really set the stage). We came on a Friday after work and it was packed! Parking lot full (they do valet as well) but we found street parking. Walking in, it was lively and fun and we were luckily sat at the bar. Our bartender, Robert, was awesome and really took care of us. He gave us a rundown on drinks, food, etc. We essentially ordered one of every item on the HH food menu except the plantain and dip (which we'll have to do next time). Their happy hour food menu is essentially a tasting menu, smaller bowls of their main dishes with some apps and test items. There wasn't an item I didn't like but the golden and the fried chicken bites were 2 standouts for me. The golden has perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken with a curry sauce, rice, and plantains. The mixture of textures and flavors is just great on the palate and each bite can be a little different keeping it interesting. Drink-wise, I tried the musa mule, redbush sidecar, and OGA palmer (NA). I really enjoyed the redbush sidecar, it was bright but still had the earthiness of a darker liquor. The musa mule was alright, I thought it was refreshing but not my favorite drink. The OGA palmer was also super refreshing and great if you don't want any alcohol. Overall, I really enjoyed ChopnBlok and am so glad its so close to me now. Happy hour or not, it seems like a great spot to eat, drink, and chill.
Wow this place definitely has some of the most flavorful dishes I've had in my entire life (in the best way!) The inside of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. You can see the culture in it. There's plenty of seating. It looks like it can accommodate for relatively large groups, or if you just wanted to have a date night, or catch up with a friend. If you plan on coming during a busy time, I recommend making a reservation beforehand. I went here with my brother for lunch on a weekday, and it was both of our first times here. I liked that if it's your first time, they give you some samples, so you can get a better idea of what to get off of the menu. Our server was very helpful with explaining each dish to us in detail and also giving us some good recommendations. We ordered: -golden -buka -African goddess salad To be honest, this was more than enough food for 2 people. We had to bring some food home to-go because we were stuffed. Our favorite item was the golden. We loved the flavor in each bite. The salad was also absolutely delicious too. The portion for the salad is HUGE, so be prepared to not finish it or share it with a lot of people. There were so many other menus items that were recommended that we wanted to try, but we did not have enough stomach room to order or eat more. I loved this place so much that after this visit, I did a DoorDash takeout order from them for my husband and I on a separate day. We will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu!

The best West African food I've ever had! The music, the food, the conversations exemplifies community! Feels like we are all family in here! The Golden Bowl and Buka Bowl are my favorite! Get the Suya as your appetizer the beef is tender! Service is great, came on a busy night with no reservation and they accommodated! The owner is so nice as well, interacts with guest and checks in! Check out their happy hour too, it's the best in the area!!!
I love this place so much. I feel that it's somewhere that is pretty accurately hyped overall. I will say if you are used to authentic African food definitely don't expect it to taste the way authentic African cuisines usually taste, but that's not their aim. it's very much a fusion but if you just go in with an open mind on the taste, you will truly enjoy this food. I think the golden bowl is the most popular menu item, but to me the black star is the true star on the menu..it is absolutely delicious. I love the sauce that comes on the side and they give you a lot of it so you have plenty throughout your entire meal. It comes with shrimp and you can add an additional protein which I've always done, but I don't even think that's necessary. I'm sure it's great with just the shrimp alone. I also like their chicken bites as well. I love the aesthetic of the restaurant. They have a lot of iconic African albums decorated throughout the space. The service is also good. I feel like my waitress was really friendly. The bathroom is nice and up to my standards and I definitely think anyone in Houston should check this place out.
I came on a Friday night without making reservations... which probably wasn't the best decision.... but to my surprise, we ended up getting seated 10-15 min after being placed on the waitlist! Anyway, my friend & I were placed at the end of the table with a group on the other end, to demonstrate how packed it was (a communal table?). Our server was extremely kind and attentive as well. :) Given this is Montrose, the parking situation is abysmal, but fortunately, my friend and I were able to snag a spot on a nearby street/neighborhood. This was my first time trying African food (specifically Nigerian), and phew, was it good... I highly recommend the Golden Bowl, a curry dish consisting of chicken that was grilled to perfection & had a nice smoky flavor. I also absolutely LOVED the addition of plantains, which is such an interesting combo! Their preparation of vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts, was top-notch as well. Portion sizes are huge, so make sure to come hungry. ChopnBlok definitely deserves its Michelin rating, and I'm so glad my first experience with West African food was so pleasant!

Delicious food and great service! Since I've never been here, I wanted to place my to go order inside. I'm glad I did. This spot is really pretty inside and out. The parking lot is small, but I lucked out and found a spot right in front of the door. I was warmly directed to the side bar area to place a to go order. A very nice lady talked me through the menu and made suggestions. I went with the golden bowl and substituted shrimp. As I sat and waited for my order, I really enjoyed the music. It was loud, but perfect for the venue. The bar area looked so inviting. It was late afternoon on a weekday, but this spot was already 1/2 full. I noticed a few folks booed up on dates, as well as some friends hanging out. This spot gave me those cool back in the day vibes I'd have when picking the perfect hang out spot when I lived in NYC. My food was ready quickly. The spice and flavors were awesome. Everything was cooked to perfection and well balanced, ... and the curry --- OMGoodness! It reminded me of food my mom cooked. My only complaint was that I wanted more of those luscious stewed plantains. The next time I'm in HTown, I am definitely returning to this spot. I'll eat in, have some cocktails, and soak in all the good vibes here. The parking lot is small, but you can find some free street and metered parking in the area. read more
A total vibe. Pictures do not give this place any justice, it's gorgeous! Friendly staff. I felt like I was entering into my cousins house for dinner it was very welcoming. We loved everything we tried. Had to check this Michelin star place out. We had: BUKA Steamed Rice & Beans, Boneless Short Rib in Native West African Red Stew, Sweet Plantains- the short rib was tough and not chewable. But the flavors were good. 10/10 experience at ChopnBlok. The ambiance inside is super cute and elegant. I love the wallpaper and Black artwork. We sat at the communal table because reservations on a Friday at 3:30 were completely full. Our waitress was very friendly and made great recommendations. The chef even came by to check on us and see if things were good. We started with the suya skewers which were well seasoned and delicious. I went with the Golden which came with chicken but I added shrimp as well. It was one of the most flavorful dishes that I've had. The curry was yummy and the jollof was spicy. My friend had the buka and really liked it. Everything was so well flavored and portions were huge. They also have a really great happy hour where you can get smaller versions of the entrees for an amazing price. I'll recommend this to anyone in Houston. And I hope they decide to open a spot in NY soon so I can become a regular. read more
Why 5 stars? Because it's elevated and unique cuisine. --- --- --- There is no shortage of restaurants you can enjoy in Houston, but a massive percentage of them are Tex-Mex and BBQ. Then there's the stuff you get plenty of in any city: pizza, chinese, sandwiches, chicken places, etc. But a real rare gem is ChopnBlok. It's West African cuisine, which is not exactly something you see on every street corner. But more importantly, this food is clearly made with love. It's not cheap: a couple of bowls and a tea comes out to nearly $100 after tip, but you're paying for real quality here. My dad and I both ordered a Golden Bowl and added steak. The steak was the best part. It had this amazing smokey flavor that made me wish I just ordered double steak instead of steak as an add on. I initially visited the ChopnBlok in POST, and was blown away with the flavors, so I've always wanted to come back and try their stand alone spot. If you're a person greatly adverse to spice, just be aware that there are some subtle hints of a kick in this dish, but I found it to be just the right amount: it let you know that it was there, but stayed in its lane. read more

Every time I pass Chop n Blok im called to stop by! The Golden is my go too entree, its always seasoned well and hot! I usually ask for my plantains on the side which they can always accommodate! The inside usually has a warm and inviting vibe that will welcome you back time and time again! read more
This place was AMAZING! Loved every dish we ordered. Every bite was packed with flavor. Favorite meal of the trip. For a group of three, we tried: *Deviled Scotch Egg: A fun take on a classic scotch egg. I liked the deviled egg filling. *Polo Club Suya: Flavorful grilled beef skewers with great seasoning. *Golden: Chicken was tender and the plantains were excellent. *Black Star: My favorite dish! I especially loved the shrimp in the rich, flavorful curry. *Buka: Tender, boneless short rib that was cooked perfectly. Definitely had leftovers, but I am so glad we ordered a variety of dishes to try. Service was great, the vibes were excellent, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend! read more

I've been wanting to check this place out and finally got to go! We made a reservation on a weekday and I'm glad we did because it was very busy! Despite the restaurant being quite loud because of how busy it was, the ambiance and the food was great! Although it was a bit pricey in my opinion, everything was delicious! read more

Even though we went to the smaller location at The Post, we were still expecting the same level of quality and experience associated with this establishment. I have to say that my dish was tasty, but there were several things that disappointed me. First, the prices were outrageous for what was offered. Second, the use of flimsy plastic utensils and cheap napkins felt out of place. You would think that a place with such a prestigious reputation would provide higher-quality disposable items, at the very least. Overall, while the food was good, the experience did not justify the cost. This will probably be a one-and-done visit for me. read more

Can't believe it took me 2 years but I finally tried Chop n Blok after hearing so much about it. This place deserves all of the hype that it gets. This place is always so packed, make sure you set a reservation if you plan to come here. I got their signature dish, the golden bowl. It takes their signature motherland curry and pairs it with smoky jollof jambalaya, chicken, veggies, and stewed plantains. The chicken was also smoky and really good. The curry was full of flavor and the whole bowl was really filling. My only qualm is that I thought the plantains were a bit too crispy but that's just my personal preference. One of my friends got the golden bowl as well but subbed the chicken for steak. The steak is good but I think the chicken is better with this dish. My other friend got the black star. This one has waakye fried rice, yassa curry, and plantains. It usually comes with shrimp but they subbed for steak. I'm not sure what kind of fried rice this is but I liked it more then the jollof jambalaya that my bowl had read more
Really delicious curries! My husband got the classic golden bowl while I had the auntie mawa's maafe (the peanut base intrigued me). We also ordered the beef skewers (polo club suya) on the side. Even though the golden bowl is the classic, I actually thought the auntie mawa's had more umami. While the food was very solid, I wasn't blown away, so I'm rating this a high 4. I also thought my rice was a little too smoky (like when a blowtorch gets too close to the food and you taste the butane smell). Not that the rice was blowtorched but it had that same kind of flavor. The kale was also a bit hard to cut as it was one large leaf on top of the rice. But its fried thin texture was nice. Lastly, we ordered the plantain bread. I think it's worth getting and the cream they put underneath is a nice touch. They also crisped up the edges nicely before serving. Service was great! Our server Alexis was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. read more

What a delight and great addition to the Houston food scene! Loved everything about this place. The workers (and I think manager?) came by several times to not only introduce themselves but also make sure we didn't need anything or have any questions. They were SO nice to thoroughly explain the menu and let us try the different curries since it was our first time. I read the Irie Punch was very strong/heavy so I decided to get Gin & Juice and I'm so glad I did - it tasted exactly how it was described on the menu. All the food and curries are packed with flavor and I love how you can customize the bowls to how you want it. My favorite was the black star yassa curry and the golden (which is also a fan favorite). The suya beef skewers is also a hit. Everything also came out VERY quickly and the food was all packed with flavor, fresh, and had good portions. Make sure you make reservations because it's a small restaurant but I heard they are expanding. The parking is also little bit too hard to find (but there is valet) but I have gone through worse. I will definitely be back! Thank you to the restaurant for a great experience. read more

Make reservations Darlings. It is done with such elegance and grace while your chair is pulled out for you because of their level of couth. Now my sister has been eyeing this place for a long time which is an upscale version of the each nation's decor and fabulous food. Now, we started with a tasting of my mocktails and my sister was given her alcohol drink. Please, please, please get the guava mocktail. The Cape Town Cooler, i believe. It tasted like tropical goodness! Oh so delicious! So.......this is one of my new favorite restaurants, hands down! I thought it was great that they brought my sister and friend a shot of whatever is in what you are drinking. Very special and delightful!! Our waitress Tenee was another reason I would come back. She can really convince you to order something you may not like Iike and you end up loving the dish like crazy. So- for appetizers we got delicious plantain chips with a greens dip , delicious beef suya, and stal and cheese beef patties with steak inside. ALL Phenomenal! For dinner, my sister's had the Golden Bowl with delicious chicken and add shrimp along with some curried beans and jumbalaya. Sweet plantain come with your bowls. My friend got the Black Star bowl which was a wonderful cream sauce with rice and big juicy shrimp. The cream sauce was very delicious!I will get that one next. I got the Buka which was rice and pease, the peas are black eyed pease. Yum! They served it with red stew and boneless beef ribs. When I got my meal they only gave me two pieces of meat and the general manager, the one with the beard, quickly brought my plate in the kitchen and it came back out with plenty of meat. Everything was so good and delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic. I would love to come back soon. read more

ChopnBlok has a fan in me! We were driving around trying to figure out a place for dinner and the ChopnBlok sign drew us in. As soon as we entered the vibes and scent of dishes made me know we'd made a great decision. Our server had a great balance between professional and the feeling of an old friend. She offered a few recommendations since it was our first time dining with them and we both went with her favorites - the coconut chicken bites and the Golden. I appreciated that most of their dishes have the option to swap or add additional protein. The chicken bites were good. I'm normally not a sauce person but a squeeze of the lemon it was plated with and the dipping sauce definitely enhanced the flavor. The Golden though, amazing! I swapped the chicken for shrimp and he added shrimp to his dish. The "jollof jambalaya" was full of flavor and thankfully came with smoked turkey sausage which I greatly appreciated as a non pork/beef eater. The curry was packed with flavor and the sweetness of the stewed plantains really complemented the heat of the dish. Our drinks were great too. I had the "Her" Chenin Blanc and he had the "Irie Punch" and we'd gladly order both again. I look forward to visiting again to try out more of the menu! read more
ChopnBlok has done no wrong on any of my visits and at this point...I'm convinced they just know what they're doing. From the welcome as soon as you walk in to the attentive staff and delicious menu options, I've consistently had a great experience here. Now if there's a patio, you already know where you're going to find me! I almost always choose to sit outside, and one thing I REALLY appreciate is that the service doesn't change because you're on the patio. I'm still checked on and given the same attention as if I were sitting inside. Patio people matter too! Lol The **Ikoyi Shrimp and Coconut Chicken Bites** are favorites for us. They're seasoned and cooked so well, and honestly, you could probably point at something in the Small Chops section and walk away happy. There isn't a dedicated kids menu, so I usually let my little one make a meal out of the smaller bites and she's a happy camper. For my main, I've ventured around the menu and tried different dishes, but somehow I always find my way back home to the **Golden Bowl**. Smoky jollof, curry, chicken, veggies and plantains all working togetherand every time I order it, it tastes just as good as I remembered. At this point, recommending ChopnBlok is easy. **Good food, good service, good patio vibes. I'd recommend this place over and over again.** read more
Bursting with flavor in every bite! Came to the Michelin recognized ChopnBlok with my family and we all loved it. We came during happy hour and were able to try a bunch of different plates. I assume that the happy hour portion sizing is little smaller than the non-happy hour dishes, but I could be wrong. We ordered the Polo Club Suya, Meat Pie Minnies, Coconut Chicken Bites, Golden, Buka, and Black Star. I believe happy hour is M-F, 3-6:30PM Not to be a chicken nugget girl, but I will say that the Coconut Chicken Bites were one of my favorite dishes that night. The chicken was sooo tender and perfectly fried. I don't think I really tasted much coconut though, but still yummy regardless! I also really enjoyed the Meat Pie Minnies and the Polo Club Suya! The pastry pie is so delicious and the Polo Club Suya was packed with flavor. Wished the meat was just a tad more tender, but awesome for the taste buds. Service was great as well - even though it was busy, the staff was still attentive and I felt like our food came out in a timely manner. Interior vibes gave ethnic wine bar feel. It's clean, well decorated, with music flowing. Would recommend to street park for free. There is a valet but the lot is packed. Would not even recommend driving into the parking lot, just street park and walk over. read more

ChopnBlok was my favorite restaurant in Houston. I had never had West African cuisine before so I went in with no expectations and a curious mind. When we told the waitress we had never tried their cuisine she sent us a sample tray for free, featuring their different rices and sauce. From there she helped us choose and customize what we wanted. Dishes came and it was absolutely delicious. We ate till we couldn't and then ate a little more. It does get pretty busy and the exterior wasn't terribly comfortable so make sure to get a reservation for the inside. But this is a must go if you're around. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. Service is excellent. Love the interior. Always clean and welcoming. I always order the Trad which is usually the best ever but today the plantains had been overcooked. The exterior needs to be cleaned up. The plants need to be cut back to allow entry. read more
Came here for mother's day brunch and left very satisfied! Bright and modern vibe inside and aesthetic bar. Every dish was very rich and different from each other, great for sharing. Service and atmosphere: This is casual West African restaurant in Houston that offers stylish and modern interior and relaxed atmosphere. The place is popular so I recommend you make a reservation. We sat by the bar which is open for first come first serve basis. Service was friendly and helpful. Food and drinks: The menu highlights staples of West African cuisine such as Golden Bowl (jollof jambalaya, curry, plantains, chicken/shrimp), Polo Club Suya (beef skewers), and plantain bread with crème anglaise. Vegan options like the Motherland bowl are also available. I recommend their cocktails to accompany the food. Everything we tried was well seasoned and full of flavour. Seeing this pop up in the Post Oak area last year, a coworker mentioned this spot as the place to check out. The girlfriend and I decided on an early dinner here on Sunday, the day after valentine's day. We left as ChopnBlok fanatics that are looking forward to our next return. Walking in, you're greeted by a smiling staff with aromas of spices and cocktails as you get walked to your table. Once seated, we got down with some handcrafted drinks which included the following: Dodo Old Fashioned - 9/10 Tamarind Manyarita - 10/10 Redbush Sidecar - 8/10 The Chopman - 10/10 The Manyarita and Chopman are the signature stars of the cocktails and rightfully so. Each has the perfect blend of sweetness, sourness, tart, and alcohol. The Old Fashioned and Sidecar are tasty as well, both were enjoyed by me although I'll admit I wish I ordered the other two previously mentioned. The gin n juice is a popular one and we'll definitely get that next time. A frozen cocktail, the server was kind enough to let us sample it and it gave us reminders of that classic Snoop Dogg track: mind on your money, money on your mind! For starters, we ordered the deviled scotch egg (8/10) and the suya & cheese pie minnies (10/10). The deviled scotch egg is an egg with the deviled spiced filling served in a ground spiced fried turkey shell; definitely your thing if you like spice. The suya & cheese pie minnies were savory and succulent with perfectly melted cheese and suya meat having the blend of spice and richness in the golden pie exterior; absolutely deliciousness. Now for entrees, my girlfriend ordered the Golden blok (10/10) w/ chicken while I decided on the greens & tings (10/10) w/ chicken and shrimp. Both dishes are superb with different taste profiles. The golden contains a jambalaya-type rice w/ curry and stewed plaintains so spiciness and richness from the rice and curry came into play and the plaintains gave a nice sweetness. The greens & tings contained tender rice mixed with greens (i.e. spinach, cilantro, herbs, etc.) and some yaji veggies with chicken mixed in and topped with 4 large seasoned shrimp. This was one of the best rice dishes I've ever had in my life; the rice was cooked perfectly with excellent flavors from the greens and spices and the meats (chicken and shrimp) both extremely tender. The portions are quite large so we had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. I recommend you make a reservation on OpenTable because if we hadn't done that, no way would we be getting a spot there. Also parking is limited so be prepared to walk a ways if you have to park a few blocks down. Take those into consideration as you plan your next meal here. You should definitely try this spot as you'll be introduced to West African cuisine the proper way and more than likely to return which is what we intend to do! read more

This was my first visit. Michelin Bib Gourmand by the MICHELIN Guide for its good food at a great value James Beard Finalist for Best Chef 2026 It has a small parking lot, so read business parking signage and be prepared to search for a space. I parked on the opposite end of the shopping strip at BB's New Orleans and walked back. Upon entry, warmly greeted by hostess, bartender, and waiter, with no reservations, wasn't busy so they cleared a table and seated within 5 minutes. 5/5 Recommend reservations. The globally inspired interior is bright and vibrant. 5/5 There's a full bar, community table, smaller tables, and booths to accommodate your party. 5/5 Knowledgeable and friendly staff perused the West African and Nigerian cuisine menu with me for minimal spice levels.5/5 Chose the Trad- grilled chicken breast, stewed plantains, jollof, broccoli and cauliflower, a trio of veggie/meat pies, Buka- Steamed Rice & Beans, Boneless Short Rib in Native West African Red Stew, Sweet Plantains My party enjoyed our meals. 5/5 Beautifully plated ample entrees reasonably priced arrived with short wait times. 5/5/ Throughout the visit, customers flowed in with a loud noise level during the visit. read more
This past Saturday, my friend and I wanted a bit to eat before we went to an event that was held at The Ensemble Theatre! So I told my friend, I had to tryout the ChopNBlok because I've heard great things about them. And I definitely was excited to check them out for myself. FYI: You need to make sure to make reservations before hand because you have a 25 to 45 min. wait. Since we didn't have an reservations, we decided to seat in the bar area. The food was amazing, everything was made with flesh ingredients and the drinks were on point. Our bar servers were very friendly and had great customer service. Also, we had the pleasure meeting one the managers that was there as well. Their ambiance had a very cultural vibe, with beautiful art work on their walls and outdoor patio seating too. And, also they had the Michigan stamp of approval for the top ratings for their restaurant. My experience at the ChopNblok was a 10/10 , and I can't wait to come back and try there Happy Hour too!!! read more
Hey ChopnBlok Family, I I just wanted to give a shout outs to Sabrina our server who took care of us; excellent service and gracious hosts. Also, II'll be remised if I didn't mention Malik, the manager who took care of us and got us quickly seated without reservations coming all the way from Katy, Texas to try this restaurant. I'm so glad it worked out and we were able to experience this divine food from the chef's county South Africa. First visit and highly recommend. We ordered several appetizers including mains; the Golden bowl and Aunty Mawa's bow. Let me tell you both entrees were full of flavor with moderate spice twist to keep things interesting...LOL. My husband and I are both serious home cooks so we appreciate good food from different countries. We'll definitely be back to try more items. Give it a try folks.
