This place is larger than I expected inside with a main eating area, a back eating area with 2 tables & some counter seating looking into the kitchen. I really wanted to love my food but it was just ok. The service was good. Food came out fast. The plates were warm to the touch as though they had been warmed up however, the food cooled off very quickly. I know breakfast food doesn't really hold heat but I don't typically notice. Unfortunately, shortly, midway during eating, my food was noticeably cooled off. Chicken sausage is highly seasoned with sage & salt. It has good flavor but was just a little chewier (tougher) than I prefer. Scrambled Eggs came cooked hard. Grits were creamy. Seasoned, with cheese. French toast is thick bread & the inside was very fluffy/soggy. Not sure if it was undercooked or intentionally cooked to be soft inside, reminded me of a soufflé. The pancakes were a little gummy to me. I'd give them another try but I'm not in a hurry.

We decided to split the piedmont omelette and a waffle as we couldn't choose between savory or sweet. Portion size was big enough to split and still be full. Our server Joshua was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us make great selections. We even got the chicken and cheese biscuit + an extra biscuit to-go which made for a good breakfast the next morning. Will definitely be back.

I wouldn't recommend this location in Richmond, The food was just subpar to me I ordered steak and eggs with a side of grits. The cheese on my eggs was horrible and the potatoes tasted old and not hot at all. The steak was flavorful and that's the only thing I enjoyed. My grits were too creamy to the point it didn't even taste like grits. It took a while for someone to come from the back to seat us that right there should have told me that the food might not be good. They only had one couple in there and the waitress sat in the back. I won't return and I wouldn't recommend this location.

Ambiance is cool with plenty of parking spaces. Friendly servers. Food was just meh to me. Bistro Chicken Benedict was too salty. Thinly sliced chicken was just too salty. Too much sodium for my liking. I heard another table complaining about how salty her breakfast plate was also. On the bright side, their Benedict pouched egg was cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce on top. Creamy grits is not my cup of tea but if you enjoy creamy grits, you may like it. It's one of those if you like it or don't like it, kind of food. I didn't hold it against them since I generally don't like it - the texture is like eating baby food. Stuffed strawberry French toast was originally the best I had here. However, I tasted it burnt and don't realized it till I finished the first portion. Overall good, I would recommend but check your French toast on both sides first. Sausage patties were meh. Just tasted like frozen patties. Nothing special. Overall, it's an okay breakfast restaurant.

Chicken and waffles (halal) - 8/10 Tomato basil soup - 8.5/10 Grilled cheese - 8.5/10 Avocado toast - 7/10 Stuffed french toast - 8/10 Caramel apple french toast - 9/10 Desi omelette - 7.5/10 Three amigos tacos - 7.5/10 Potatoes - 9/10 Chai latte - 8/10 Hot chocolate - 8.5/10 The recently opened cafe in Aliana is a nice casual spot to grab a quick brunch. The only halal item they have is their chicken tenders. They also have desi style eggs which was interesting lol. Overall the food was good but I think everything could use more flavor. It was a bit bland/basic without the sauces in my opinion. My favorites were the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the caramel apple french toast. Both are their January specials!

Well flavored, well prepared and WOW! Service was great, we loved the food and enjoyed our experience. Do not sleep on this place.

This place is a nice casual and colorful breakfast cafe. Went for a late weekday brunch and had some wonderful cinnamon roll pancakes that were large and filling. It wasn't busy at the time we went so service was pretty quick. May come back again to try something else on their menu.

My friend and I came here for brunch for the first time. The staff is really friendly. The tables were a little wobbly, but I really like how they looked. They give a picnic feel. The food was quite dense, so it really filled us up . The Applebutter was really good, so make sure you get that to try it.. food is as good as it looks. The chicken was very crispy and the poached eggs were perfect. The biscuit was a bit dense as well. It wasn't very fluffy, but that's OK with me. This place is good if you want to do like a comfort breakfast southern meal. Parking is free and out front .

I decided to try this cafe for brunch the other day and I have mixed reviews. The menu is not too small or too big, so I really liked that simplicity. We ordered biscuits and gravy, avocado toast and a biscuit egg sandwich. The bacon was great, the. Potatoes were good, and the eggs were very fresh. As for the biscuits, they were not fully cooked and were very gummy. I'm not saying the taste was bad but I would of liked for them to be done and cooked a little longer. The avocado toast was okay but didn't taste super fresh. The toast itself was a little burnt. It just didn't taste as fresh as it should have. The service was very good. We ate in the bar area and our waiter was very friendly and provided great service. I just wish the food was a little fresher for the price we paid. When you are a restaurant who builds everything the biscuit, the. Biscuits should be cooked fully and other items should taste a little fresher. I don't know if I would run to try this again. I feel like there are other places with better food at the same prices. I might try to one more time but not right away.

The cashier/barista Laura was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to her. You order at the counter, water is self service from a water station and the food is delivered to your table. I was here for Saturday brunch & got the "special omlette" with ham substituted for the prosciutto. The ham is deli-type ham. The omelette was very flavorful & tasty, however, definitely thinner than I am accustomed to eating. It did not come with any bread option or side item so make sure you look at the breakfast side items (only located on the Saturday/Sunday brunch menu, not the main menu) or ask about side items. I don't have a large appetite & I must admit I was still a little hungry. I inquired about bread after I finished & they offered to bring me some toast but I was already done eating. I had a bite of hubby's breakfast sausage & croissant. I'm not a big sausage person but the sausage tasted smoky with a hint of sweetness and it was yummy! The croissant was also buttery & good. I'd add that to my omelette order next time. Of course we had to try some sweets since there were so many options. We got the carrot cake; it's Brazilian style, which differs from the standard American version. The cake had carrots only, no nuts, a little less sweet, pound cake-like consistency and topped with chocolate. I enjoyed it! I also got a chocolate cake slice to-go. It's super rich with chocolate filling layers made with condensed milk. A bit too rich for me but I'm sure others will love it. They also have coffee drinks and they are setup to do the basics drinks (mocha latte, cappuccino, etc) without all the syrup flavors. I ordered a cortado. Although it is not on their menu, the barista gladly said she would try to do her best. I provided directions on the espresso to milk ratio for a cortado & she absolutely nailed it. The coffee was robust & without the traditional vanilla syrup available, a little brown sugar added made the drink great. I will definitely return. I'll try their lunch menu next time.

The ahi tuna wasn't the best. It wasn't fresh and the feta cheese was a bit too overwhelming. As for the spinach and artichoke dip, I felt like it was okay. Didn't really like the tomatoes as it made the dip runny and hinder the taste from the star ingredients of the dish. The smoked gouda burger was the best. The meat was cooked perfectly and the amount for each ingredients were given generously. I also really loved how you really can taste the smokiness from the bite. As for the pasta, I thought that it was good but not the best. It was starting to get a bit heavy with the amount of cheese and I do wish the cajun flavor could be a bit stronger. The chicken was also on the dry side but it's still pretty decent. Overall, this place is okay. Service could've been a bit better since it took a while for us to find someone to help us on our water refill and check.
