This place has been invading my TikTok feed as of late so I decided to give it a go. Really nice place on the inside, people were awesome, and was seated quickly. I wanted to do the Early Bird Breakfast, but they don't do substitutions. I wanted to swap the bread for a pancake. I could add a kids pancake instead for additional cost. I ended up getting the brisket bowl. I did add a kids pancake to satisfy the sweet tooth. You get some tortillas and salsa with the bowl to make yourself some tacos if you like. I barely finished the bowl as it is LOADED. Meat, potatoes, and eggs...all the basic food groups to a good breakfast. I went there hangry, and came home sleepy LOL. read more

In Houston for the weekend to spend time with my mother. Came here after the gym based on Yelp reviews. It's a little hidden spot of the road. Very nice atmosphere. Very clean with lots of seating . Hilal options available as well. Wanted to sit at the counter near the kitchen but all the seating was taken. Sat at a table instead. Took a little bit to be greeted by a server but when she arrived she was very attentive and took My order promptly. I ordered an Americano and Steak and Eggs with sweet potato fries . Took about 15 minutes to get the Americano but she brought water in the mean time. I received my Americano which was hot as I hoped and very strong as it should be. Very smooth as well. I received my Steak and Eggs not too long after as well. The eggs were a perfect over medium , steak was more medium well versus medium ( but tender) and the sweet potato fries were a perfect mix of crisp and moist texture. The atmosphere is very family oriented with many large groups . Makes for a very lively environment. I would come back to try more food. read more

The save were the Dubai chocolate pancakes that my daughter and I shared. My coffee was good but it ended up being super sweet towards the end of it. My daughter's tres leches coffee wasnt as good. It was pretty much coffee with a ton of cinnamon. Her omelet was full of chicken and veggies. She only ate half and we only ate half of the pancakes. Customer service was awesome. Be careful walking to your seat because the floors are very slippery. The booth tables are uneven so the ppl sitting behind you may be comfortable but your seat will be far away from your table. The staff is really friendly and i like the feel of the place. It's a very family friendly restaurant in the residential area of Richmond. I tried the omelette and potatoes and really it was okay. My favorite is the Early Bird Breakfast with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, biscuit and delicious potatoes. Their pancakes are outstanding but as an add-on it could be too much food. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. However, often the meals encounter long delays from the time you order to received. Parking has been a major challenge until recently when valet service was added. The parking attendant only asks for tips which is a bargain that allows me access to one of my favorite breakfast spots. read more

Found Early Bird Cafe on a whim and stopped in for breakfast. Ordered the sunrise pancakes and the early bird breakfast. The pancakes were made to perfection, fluffy and flavorful with the right amount of crispiness. The early bird breakfast was underwhelming. The potato hash was incredibly salty and overcooked. We ended up letting the server know and she brought out fresh dishes of the hash. The second plates were salty as well, perhaps they are just heavy handed with the salt. Couldn't enjoy them so we didn't eat them. What they did well with was the clean restaurant and the ambiance, which is nicely decorated with tones of blue and a minimalistic feel. Additionally, the golden spice latte and the chai were delicious. The drinks were crafted to perfection. It's solid food and I'm glad they open earlier now compare to when they first open but 7 AM is still not consider "early bird" to me. Service is okay. There was a lot of empty tables but wasn't used for whatever reason even though it got crowded in the waiting area by the door and host station. It's weird that they didn't have a specific person to deal with all the drinks, each server had to make their own and I don't think that's efficient. I get it for fast drinks like tea but management should consider a more efficient way for busy brunch weekends. The nest Benedict (normal egg Benedict) was just okay. Perfect shaped, pouched egg but it was overcooked. A perfect egg Benedict has perfect runny pouched egg that keeps its shape. Pancake was just any typical pancake you can get anywhere. Blueberry lemonade was just mediocre, blueberries could have been crushed more so I can easily use my straw. My friend's to-go-choices are their avocado toast and chicken and waffle. They're still relevantly new so I give them a pass. I like that it's in this book of the neighborhood and my Muslim friends have a place to eat breakfast without having to worry if it's halal or not. Still a great place for a girls brunch or a brunch for the locals in this neighborhood. Prices are decent. Stopped by to check this place out with my cousin over breakfast. They were semi-crowded, tables were full but plenty were still available and we got seated right away by the hostess. The hostess were nice and efficient. Our server came by to drop off menus and within a minute was back for our order, without allowing much time to peruse the menu. Then she came back around and took our order, I asked for hazelnut syrup in my latte, and she tells me they don't serve that. I pointed out it was on the menu and she checked with the barista's and found that it was in fact an item they serve. Kinda surprised she didn't know their own offerings. We placed our order and our food came out soon after. I had ordered the sunrise bowl which is eggs your way, brisket, breakfast potatoes, and tortillas. The eggs were great, and the brisket was delicious but there wasn't enough of it, the dish was mainly potatoes. I love potatoes so no complaints from me, but my cousin was surprised that a dish advertised as coming with brisket came with so little of it. What was disappointing to me was our server. I finished my coffee and wanted some water, most places will serve you with water as a standard item, even when ordering a beverage. Not here. Our server didn't come around at all so finally after being on the lookout for her I had to bug the hostess to bring me water, please. When she did, she just brought the one, when she could clearly see that neither me nor my cousin were served any water, napkins or utensils. Separately I had to stand up and walk to the server to ask for utensils. I'm not sure if this place is new or what, if they're new I'll chalk it up to growing pains, but to wait until my food is basically cold to get the utensils to eat it with, wasn't great. FOR CONTEXT: This is my second time here, I came here last Spring. This is a decent place, I'm just documenting my most recent experience in the most respectful and honest way possible. Food: We ordered two Birdies (chicken and waffles) and one waffle came out golden and the other very undercooked, similar to an Eggo. To me, the meal was not worth the price. We ordered another meal with toast and only one was toasted. The drinks were highly overpriced, probably less than 8 oz for a $7 orange juice. Service: The service was good and the food came out at a reasonable time. Atmosphere: The restaurant has some fruit flies and the tables/seating is quite sticky. There is a smell that seems like the restaurant is not all the way cleaned. Smell is a big part of dining anywhere, so this stuck out to my party. Also, one of the songs playing was Pumped Up Kicks which definitely dampened the mood of a midday brunch. (I'm really not trying to nitpick, but the lyrics are extremely disturbing) read more

We really enjoyed our brunch here, we came with a big group on a Friday and we're seated right away. They have complimentary valet parking which was convenient because of how busy the parking lot is. Our server told us everything except the pork items were halal. The brisket breakfast burrito and chicken and waffles were the highlights. We also had the steak and eggs which was cooked perfectly. The golden latte was really good. The orange juice was fresh squeezed but pricey. Would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. read more

We had breakfast here on Monday. My wife had Blueberry Pancakes. They were served with a large portion of Blueberry Compote and my wife said that they were very good. I ordered biscuits and gravy with very soft scrambled eggs. I also ordered a side of their house-made pan sausage. The sausage was extremely dry and tough. I needed a knife to cut it, and the flavor was not one typical of breakfast sausage. The eggs were not very soft as ordered, or even soft, but rather overcooked and hard. The biscuits and gravy was served with micro greens as garnish. Not typical, but OK. Unfortunately I made the mistake of attempting to cut the gravy covered biscuit with my fork. It didn't work. The biscuit was so dense and tough that it required a knife. Not good! read more

We tried the special latte, honey lavender. I enjoyed it but my friend felt it was too sweet for her. She tried both cold & hot but it wasn't for her. The coffee is a medium roast single origin. Wow, what a nice surprise. The taste gives solid arabica notes. The bacon is maple smoked and thick sliced. It was cooked to perfection, crispy just a touch The waffle Long sigh here. The waffle itself is perfect. Crusty with a pillow inside. The toppings give crunch and subtle pistachio flavor. The earthiness is a pallet change but welcomed. The unfortunate part is that the semi sweet chocolate overpowers everything. It's a hat on a hat. The eggs. No, just no. I ordered soft scrambled with cheese. It came hard with the cheese tossed on like makeup at a stoplight, haphazard, rudimentary. The eggs themselves were devoid of flavor, lifeless. Their food service vendor didn't do them any favors with these factory eggs and pre shredded cheese. At this price point, the eggs should be local and as free as an Oman date tree's aroma. The Grounds Holy. Pristine. Marbled white and elegant as a fine mosque in Saudi. The restroom was super clean too. And the owner grabbing discarded sugar papers shows that they care. I felt like not only am I at peace eating here, but I'm at peace praying here. The Gratitude This is where EBC shines bright like the Dubai son. When I entered I was spirited back to trips to Dubai and Saudi and Oman. Solemnity. Honor. Respect. Cleanliness. Kindness. The two ladies, later I understood one to be named Senna. Senna is a great way to describe the woman and her establishment, brilliant. Even when I gave her less than savory feedback, she smiled and wished me well, and looked for ways to bridge the gap. Pretty but not tasty. Food was pretty but bland. The service was slow but respectful and approachable. Ambiance was very warm and inviting like a modern diner feel. The cafe was clean but the staff uniform wasn't. They need aprons as they bus the tables as well as serve. We went during the late morning on a Monday so the front of house has limited staff and no dedicated greater/hostess. Our server had maybe 2 other tables who had already been served and were dining. It took 10-15 minutes for water but our drinks were brought out with them minutes before our food was served despite being ordered before. The menu seemed interesting and had both traditional breakfast dishes and healthy options. I chose the veggie delight. Potato hash with cheese onions, peppers, tomato and zucchini with an egg to order. It was unfortunately bland and required excessive amounts of hot sauce to be flavorful. As we waited I noted waitstaff cleaning a table awkwardly without a bussing tray and sticking their hands in the used dishes. Granted upon reaching the back they may have washed their hands but that seemed unsanitary for the server and for diners imho. The waiter serving us was polite and served out food with follow up questions and then just stood at the bar area looking somewhat bored. I also took some issue with how flatware is provided. The flatware and napkins are provided upon seating in a holder for condiments with napkins in one side and flatware in the other. It looks lazy and I would think having them rolled is a better presentation and more sanitary as only the person who rolled would have touched them. The waiter didn't come back after we finished the meal but fortunately another member of staff provided the check. This place seems style over substance but hopefully that will improve. read more

Some of the best halal brunch I've had in a while, the whole fam loved it. Overall this place is 8.5/10. They have a lot of delicious savory and sweet options. Make sure to ask for the halal options, only certain meats are halal and they do serve non halal meats as well. ------------ I got the shrimp and grits (with beef bacon) and it was honestly life changing. I've never had grits before, and as someone who likes to have a more savory breakfast this really hit the spot, 10/10.
