Sampler taco plate with every vegan taco option and a vegan volcan pastor
    Sophia M.

Great food and customer service. Clearly labeled vegan options with staff who know the menu well and know what is vegan. The pastor volcan was amazing; I would recommend that. Cute, casual vibe inside and fast service.

The tacos and salsa were fantastic! The service was also great! The quality and amount of food you get for the price is very affordable! We will be back!

Last night we were officially over crawfish boils and craving something different when we passed a sign with my favorite word: tacos. Naturally, we made an immediate U-turn--and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service matched it every step of the way. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality made us feel right at home (including a complimentary appetizer while we waited--such a thoughtful touch!). And I have to say--I told my husband they should change the name of their "chips & queso" to "attitude adjustment," because it'll turn any bad day into a good one Seriously... it's that good. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we honestly couldn't wait to get home and dig into the rest. Pro tip: no matter when you go, order breakfast tacos for the next day--trust me, your future self will thank you. Safe to say, we'll absolutely be back.

Enjoyed the Mexican food , but definitely a little on the pricer side. It was my first time there and the staff could see and recognize it quickly. The lady taking orders was very patient with the ordering process and was also providing recommendations. The whole staff was quite nice. We ordered the chips and queso which was okay, but the portion was a lot. Also had a tostada which was probably the best thing we had. It was so flavorful! If I go back, this is something I would order. Lastly , the quesabirria was a little bland for me. Again, the portion size was great but I would have enjoyed more flavor. The restaurant is pretty clean and there is a good amount of seats to dine in. Pretty nice decor around the restaurant. There is also plenty of parking at the store front.

Biggest takeaway from this place is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and treated super nice till the moment we left. The staff could tell it was our first time there as we took awhile to look at their "wall menu" and asked us to come to the counter so they can help us decided, giving us an easier to follow "hand menu." After we ordered they offered to add something on the house as first time customers which was really appreciated! They regularly checked in on us even though this is a casual dining and not fine dining where you would have a waiter who would. They really made sure we were have a great experience. Also, I noticed it wasn't just for us because we were first timers. They also went out of their way for other customers too, especially continuing to take to-go orders for people who came after closing time. Truly exceptional staff. As for the food, I was drawn here by pictures of their Quesabirrias, so of course that is what we had. It was definitely filling and good, but I just felt it was missing a little of the quesadilla side of it with the lack of cheese, so I improvised adding queso to it which helped. Speaking of queso, we did have chips and queso as well which were decent, but more notably it was plenty of queso which usually isn't the standard at most restaurants, as they tend to dish out less queso and more chips. It was nice to not run out of queso for once and have enough to use for other dishes and still take some home! The dish they provided on the house was their Tostadas, which was honestly amazing! I would have ordered these myself if I knew they were that good lol. There are three salsas to go with the food that they brought to the table: a red mild, green medium, and green hot. I tried both green salsas and was pleased with them. To drink, I had a bottled Jarritos fruit punch. Of note, they don't have fountain drinks here so you're are limited to bottled drinks - sodas (plastic and glass), juice, water, and beers. I also saw on the wall that they offer margaritas for happy hour, but I didn't see a bar anywhere. Lastly, the place has plenty of open seating and a very casual vibe. Our table had a sombrero on it and the entire place is decked out with traditional Mexican decor. I would also say it's very family friendly, as there were kids who seemed to have come after a little league game. For parking, there are plenty of spaces in the shopping strip it is a part of. Overall I highly recommend on just their customer service alone. However, their food is also good, and I can't wait to come back to try more and find out what is my favorite dish!

To know me is to know I love TACOS or any Mexican cuisine. Emmy family was very satisfied today . The tacos were were great and fresh ! The birria quesadillas are chefs kiss !! We also got to try a steak tostada I believe . Yummmy . We cleaned our plates and only took home the left over birria taco and my son's quesadillas lol The service was great. All smiles and I love that. The ambiance is family oriented and you deff can have a great time if you're naturally high spirited! I stay really close so I will be back GRACIAS Buena comida !!!

Wow! JUST FOUND MY NEW GO TO VEGAN MEXICAN SPOT IN HOUSTON AREA. The vegan options are plenteous. Good old taco shop style food. And yes they have vegan sour cream and vegan cheese. The soy based protein for the asada is flavorful. Next time I might ask them to cook it a little longer to make it not as soft and a little crispy but it was still delicious. The service was great! The person at the register took their time explaining the menu to us since it was our first time. The shop was clean and had great ambiance and decor. Definitely a must try if you love mexican food and need plant based options.

    ST. VOLCAN Asada

Came here last weekend and I will be back again this weekend. We had carne asada volcanes, quesabirrias, carnitas quesadilla, and horchata. I only have a picture of the volcanes because we inhaled everything else that came after. All of it was DELICIOUS. Their staff is also incredibly kind and welcoming. So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant!

Stopped in after seeing the great reviews. Natalia waited on us and was so sweet. She explained everything on the menu, made great suggestions, and even gave us free tostadas to try since it was our first time. The Volcan tostadas were amazing!!!! The flavors just blended so well together. This will be a staple when visiting Katy.

Delicious tacos and fun atmosphere! I had the fish taco, which was fried, fresh, and tasted incredible. The pastor taco was a bargain at $2.90, and had onions, cilantro and pineapple... also delicious. Come check this place out! The young lady at the front counter was also very nice, and the owner was awesome. He's a cancer survivor and we talked to him about some great charity work he's planning with MD Anderson.

The food is fantastic, the owner and the staff are very friendly and very helpful with the menu. The setting is casual and comfortable. No TV's for watching sports was the only downside in my opinion. We would have stayed and had another drink but needed to move on so we could watch the games. But as far as the food and service... 5 star all the way!

Combo taco plate: dos asada, dos carnitas, dos al pastor, and dos lengua (subbed, normally this is chorizo)
    Miriah E.

Upon walking in, the restaurant was open, fun, and welcoming. I enjoyed the setup and how the menu was displayed. Felt like a combination of Jimmy John's and Five Guys with the decor. Limited seating, so I appreciated the addition of the bar seating. Lots of items to choose from on the menu, so we were excited. We told the staff we had never been there before, so she gave us a couple of their Volcano Tostadas to try on the house, a nice touch. We enjoyed them as an appetizer. Now, objectively, the tacos tasted good. We just have specific tastes that we prefer with our tacos, and Dos Tacos didn't deliver on our specific tastes, but they did have good food. For anyone who enjoys Tex-Mex, this is a good spot. If you want traditional street tacos, it might not be the best spot. I do recommend topping with some finishing salt, but the flavors complemented well. Giving four stars due to the carnitas being quite greasy, the onions being too caramelizad, the red onion being over-pickled, and not enough salt. Like mentioned before, all specific taste preferences of ours.

Wow wow wow. This place is soooo good. Been trying to find a good Mexican place in the area for years but unfortunately all of the places have disappointed.. until dos tacos!! The place itself is cute and one of the few restaurants that aren't freezing inside, which is greatly appreciated. The staff are all so friendly, and greeted us with smiles and even gave us an item to try on the house. The best part, they have vegan & vegetarian options!!! And really well crafted ones, not just after thoughts. I had the vegan asada torta- which was my favorite thing I ate- perfect combo of crunchy, gooey dairy free cheese and vegan meat. I also had the veggie fish taco and the vegan chorizo, both very very good. Everyone else's favorites included the chicken fajita taco and the Al pastor. I had such a great experience here, the food was delicious and came out fast. The restaurant is also very clean and it's super easy to find parking. Honestly I can't wait to come back and try their other menu items. You just come try this place, you won't regret it!! Also totally forgot to say how goood and fresh their tortillas taste!!! I'm already thinking about my next visit!

Looking for fire tacos? Look no further than Taco Fuego! Finally a place that lives up to its name…read moreand reputation, Taco Fuego is top tier! Let's start with location, Taco Fuego has 5 locations to choose from. A mixture of store front and taco trucks. I decided to stop at their Katy location (taco truck) located at 1005 Katy fort bend road. This truck was very easy to find. My husband and I really wanted give this place a try for a couple reasons, 1. Every picture you see on IG makes your mouth water lol. 2. Their meat is fresh and locally sourced! The truck itself is nice, and clean. Also has a little Led sign that says catch tacos not feelings super cute for an IG photo. Service was quick, friendly and informative. We ordered a few different tacos to try: The Quesabirria Taco~ Birria or chicken, cheese, limes, cilantro and pickled onions on a corn tortilla. This one was really good and it definitely has a bit of a kick. The meat is so flavorful you do not need to add any additional sauces. The Barbacoa Taco~ Beef Barbacoa, cilantro, onions and salsa verde on a corn tortilla. This one was in the top 2 for me. Yum!! That beef was cooked to perfection! The Texan Taco~ brisket, Monterey Jack cheese, corn, cilantro, pickled onions and creamy cilantro on a flour tortilla. My husband inhaled it. Lolol. I got a tiny bite and it was very good. All of the flavors worked together so well! The Shrimp Taco~ my absolute favorite! Fried Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Cajun sauce on a flour tortilla. The shrimp was fire. Perfectly seasoned. I don't know what they put in that Cajun sauce but they need to bottle it so I can take it home! Other things to note: Everything is halal They offer a veggie taco option They offer more than tacos. Ex: Ramen, Burgers, pupusas, empanadas, flautas and tamales. Churros for dessert! Drinks include: Horchata, lemonade and Cantaloupe. Be prepared to dine in your car.

We were the first customers on a Dec 6th, Saturday morning…read more All of the front end staff was sitting at a table, cracking up to the point where I thought they were diners of the restaurant because of how comfortable they were. And after taking our drink order and bringing our drinks, the friendly waitress went to sit down and play on her cell phone. The problem was we needed napkins. Napkins weren't on the table nor were they self service. Since she was playing on her cell phone, she wasn't doing her table rounds to be available to ask for napkins. Chips and salsa can naturally be messy. All it takes is one little boo-boo with salsa, and it splatters on the table. After what felt like 5 to 10 minutes, she eventually came back around to take our food order, but her lack of attention and behavior had already messed up the customer service experience. The real crime here is the food flavor itself. I ordered the taco mix. This is a simple way to judge the restaurant by its protein flavor. Each street size taco allowed a glimpse into the seasoning and preparation of their food. The El Pastor was lacking flavor. There was only one tiny pineapple tidbit. The Birria taco just has bad seasoning. The Carne Asada that had no sear or color, so it was gray and mushy. Cheese, crema, and avocado cannot make up for meat that doesn't taste good. While the server was friendly, it doesn't make up for the fact that the food itself is bad. And when you think about how tacos are so easy to make if all it involves is seasoning, a protein and cooking it. They're botching up simple cooking techniques and use bad recipes. The street cart concept is certainly fun. We did the churro cart, and it was fun to see the sparkler. The birthday girl liked the music and the churro experience. The Nutella chocolate is too firm so it doesn't really stick to the churro as well. It would be better if they made a Nutella sauce then straight up ultra thick Nutella. The cajeta was a bit sour because it's goat milk, not cows milk. I would prefer a caramel over cajeta. The best dipping sauce was the condensed milk. To their credit, the churros were fresh and piping hot. Still, this isn't the kind of place I would not want to return to for the simple fact that the food was not good. These kinds of dining experiences make you think I'm better off, cooking at home then driving to the restaurant, settling for so so service, paying for mediocre food. I wish restaurants collectively needed to pass some kind of flavor standard or cooking consistency to earn a restaurant license because at this rate mediocre food is being served, and the customer is not the wiser until they sit down and taste it. It also surprises me that these kinds of places can survive for years and years through serving mediocre food. I can't recommend it. I wouldn't return.
