They also have a salsa cart that has a variety of different salsas to try & pickled cucumbers & onions. We had 2 tacos de fajita. A torta de fajita. 2 quesadillas (one of chicken the other of fajita) & 2 agua frescas (melón & sandía) & it was soooo good. I found this late night taco truck, and decided to give it a try. Super affordable ($2) tacos. The service was fast, and I got my food quick. This has been my go-to taco truck for about a year now. It's been a couple months since we've been so I was excited to see the little upgrades around (like the table tops, cups, TVs, decor and even sauce packets). Service window was moved so we ended up having to wait a little longer to order. No big deal. My biggest concern though, is the quality of the food that seems to have taken a dip. The Barbacoa tacos were mushy and had zero flavor. The pastor has been better seasoned and both meats had quite a bit of fat/gristle. This was one of the places my friends and I found after a good climbing session at Momentum Katy. That post climb fuel is always important. And we came across Taqueria el Toluca. It's a true hidden gem, behind a gas station. No parking spots, but make it your own. Makeshift shed with telenovelas and bench seating. They even provide paper towels. The menu is simple. It's abundant. And cheap. They open late! You order at the first window, and pay at the second. Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas and Torta are DELICIOUS. Absolutely freaking delicious. They don't skimp out on the meat. It gets to the point of deciding how hungry you are or if you want to save your other half for the next day. Tough decisions. Even that next day reheat is so good. Convenient and affordable taco truck! My friends were struggling to find a place open late, so we stumbled upon this taco truck. For 4 people, our total was under $30, and we had plenty of food for everyone. The tacos are decently sized; we each were pretty full from 3-4. The quesadilla was amazing and large enough to share. I loved both of their sauces, but the food was great without them too. The employees were very patient with us when we were combining our order. Since we did visit close to closing, they had little to no agua frescas left. They take Apple Pay and card, so payment was quick and hassle free. Amazing tacos! Truly wonderful people working here.. They have a bar full of fresh made salsa, the onions are always cooked amazing.. The chicken is cut up very fine, they use yellow tortilla which are way more healthy than the white corn. The charro beans are great just a ton of meat. if you like that. They have agua frescas and Mexican sodas they also have a covered patio to eat at. It's open very late which I LOVE !! I've been visiting this truck for a while, Although this truck is sadly closed on taco Tuesdays it is very good and really cheap! I love that it's kind of hidden behind the gas station, and that they have added a roofed dining area so you can sit and enjoy your meal. There is also a snack bar truck right next to it with fun dessert and juice options. I wish they were open till later, hopefully sometime soon they can extend weekend hour. read more

We got a variety of tacos. The tripe tacos are the best I've ever had. The flavors and texture were perfect. One negative is that the asada was a little dry. Service was overall very quick even though they were pretty busy. They have plenty of seating next to the food truck and it has a tent to shade from the hot sun. Good amount of parking too. This taco truck is a hidden gem. I found out about it a couple of years ago and every time I crave tacos from a truck they're my go to. The staff is courteous and informative every time I ask a question. They're also very generous when I've requested extra items in the side; such as lines, inions and cilantro. The flavor of their food is fantastic! I always want much more than my body can handle! They're open decently late and it's great that they're by the drive thru margarita spot. Taqueria El Toluca was a drive for us from Houston but it is very very good. It's a food truck in a truck parking lot. They have some picnic tables under the tent. The line can be very long, it is that good. Prices are very affordable and portions are ample. My favorite was the Papas Asada, a baked potato with so much flavor, the bacon on top gives it an extra crunch. Be sure to order the Elote from the little Elote truck on the right. Price is pretty cheap, $1.5/taco except tripa which is $2. I ordered 8 tacos (2 tripa, 2 barbacoa, 2 fajita, 2 trompo) plus a melon drink for $3.5. I really liked the barbacoa, it was tender, soft, and flavorful. The fajita and trompo were also pretty good. I didn't like the tripa as much, it was dry and it didn't have a lot of flavor. The salsas were good, green one was already pretty spicy, the red one is hella spicy (for me). I'll definitely be back! Next time I'm trying the frijoles charros! read more

This is the closest to California Mexican food I've found since moving here. Not quite California good but pretty close. They are still missing a few ingredients. But the food is good and the service is always fast and friendly.
