It has been four years since I've been here. The service did improve; however, the food quality decreased. I should've taken pictures, but I was too hungry for that. So I ordered the Vietnamese sandwich combo; which includes a milk tea and an order of the fried octopus. The combo came out first. The sandwich was sad. It had one piece of meat, a slice of carrot and daikon, and three strips of cilantro. It was hella dry. The meat was bland. On my last two bites, there was a squirt of mayo, which made it taste a little better. The tea was decent with no complaints to the taste, but it wasn't filled all the way to the top. When the fried octopus came out it was hot and ready; however, they were pretty skimpy on the quantity as if there was a size small and large order. Would I return here after this visit? Most definitely NOT. With many negative reviews, I would assume they would take them into consideration and improve areas that need to be improved. Service was not good. Ordered popcorn chicken late around 10:30pm. It was not busy. I asked the guy how long it would take, and he says 3 minutes. I check back with him 15 minutes later since it was taking much longer than he had told me. Turns out the order was done a long time ago and was just sitting in the back counter. I am an avid tea drinker. Let me first say I like to drink tea not SUGAR. Yesterday evening I was roaming around Milpitas with my family and my mom and I were feening for some tea. My brother suggested Quickly so we head over. Right when you walk in, the place itself had a few costumers sitting around drinking their beverages and relaxing. My mom and I take a look at the menu and decide to order a Passion fruit green tea with grass jelly. (A drink I frequently order) We get in line and order our drinks......15 minutes later our drinks are ready. The girl hands me my drink and I thank her. She handed me my drink and literally just walked away. I was thinking OK maybe shes just having a SHIT day. Anyway, I walk out and take a quick sip from my cup......OMG it was so sweet. All I could taste was sugar, sugar and some more sugar. I tried to bare the sweetness but I just couldn't! I walked back into the place and ask the girl nicely if she could make my drink less sweet because it was way too sweet for my liking. She takes my drink in the back and I don't know if she made me a new drink or if she just dumped out half and put more tea in but guess what........when I got my "new" drink it was still pretty much a cup of diabetes! Anyway, I also didn't like the grass jelly. It tasted very raw, like the jelly itself was very watery and hadn't hardened. The only perk to this place is that it opens very late. My problem with this place aside from the guilty conscience of having committed the ultimate betrayal to Tapioca Express lies in that their hot milk tea is W-H-A-C-K WHACK. The simplest drink of any pearl tea house (I still refuse to call it boba), should be spot on. Instead, it was a sugar-substitute-tasting, low-in-actual-tea-content MESS. I went there on Christmas Eve, so it was very crowded. + Nice location + Delicious drink! + Average customer service; not too fast, but not too slow - Crowded - Ran out of pearls - Charged 200 unstead of 20 onto the credit card? - Confused employees - Took awhile to figure out what was wrong Overall, the drinks were delicious, but the customer service just threw everything off. This is the best quickly's I've ever been to! There is such a large plethora of food and drinks. For a quickly's, of course it has its boba, milk tea, coffee, snows, and fried foods, but there's so much more too! In addition to the snacks, they have dinner bowls, burgers and fries, noodle soup, bento boxes, and a large option of desserts. I was feeling like something meaty, so I ordered the grilled pork rice bowl. Appearance alone, the dish looked disappointing, especially because there seemed to be such little pork in comparison to the rice and veggies. However, it turned out to be perfect. I was definitely full afterwards... And it was delicious- perfectly seasoned and lightly grilled. Not the best I've ever had, but it was good. To accompany my food, I ordered an iced strawberry green tea. Perfect in my opinion- not too sweet and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered a vanilla egg puff and a pandan waffle. It was first time going to quickly's (q-cup & tapioca exp. regular) and I don't know much about the names of the drinks. There's slushy, milk teas, but I didn't know slushy and snow are different! The girl who was working at that time around 7pm had a major attitude! Before i ordered i asked if they have thai tea slushy, she said yup! BS! I ordered 3 Thai tea slushy (I thought its the blended icy kind). She asked me what size, I said ALL LARGE! I also ordered chicken popcorn & fried octopus..She repeated my orders but very fast that I couldn't understand. So I said okay because she clearly asked me what size I wanted. When my order was up, I checked the bag.. The popcorn chicken was good, but the octopus only contained 3 octopus in it the rest are just clumps of batter! My drinks came up... They were small MILK TEAS, not slushy... I then told her I ordered Thai tea slushy, all large. She gave me a dirty attitude that she repeated my orders and that there is no Thai tea slushy and then told me if I wanted the blended kind O_0 , so I said yes! She said well you could've said SNOW! I went here on Christmas Eve at around 9:45 and it was close to closing time. It wasn't that crowded there, which was a plus. All the other boba tea places were closed, so me and my cousins ended up at Quickly's. When we ordered about 8 milk teas, they had a problem processing the credit card that we used to pay and took about 10 minutes trying to figure it out. They actually charged $200 to his account but eventually took out the extra charge they took out. Ordered a large iced honey ginseng green tea... took a sip of it while walking to my bf's car and instead of the sweet and soothing taste of ginseng and honey... my taste buds were punched with something bitter and spicy! WTF WAS THIS!? Had my bf try it and was just as flabbergasted as I was. I'm always weary about people messing with my food or drinks so I was hesitant to go back, but my bf eventually convinced me to do it. We returned and told them (in the most polite way possible) that there must have been a mistake because it definitely wasn't ginseng. The cashier walked over to the back and asked the people making the drinks about it. Their reply? "We ran out of ginseng so we used ginger instead." Whoa whoa WHOAA, GINGER? Really? Oh come on! When was GINGER and GINSENG ever the same?! They could have at least let me know they ran out before trying to improvise back there! I wouldn't have mind changing my order. Geez!!! I didn't even want another drink after hearing that, but since I PAID for a large drink earlier, I felt I had to get something out of it. So I played it safe and ordered a regular milk tea as its replacement since it was made visibly at the front counter (near the cashier). Sadly, the milk tea was...for lack of a better word, "meh!"... They made another one but something was still off I later realized it was spoiled milk because I got sick a couple of hours later. What's going on, is the other chick scooping one boba at a time? It takes less than 2 minutes for one drink if both of them were working. Second complaint: The place smelled like really old, unchanged cooking oil; the worst part about it is that the food they're serving is being cooked in that very batch of old oil. Ordered: Almond Milk Tea with Lychee jelly. The drink was overly sweet and had a huge after taste to it. Not to mention an odd taste to it in general. You could still taste the bits of the powered substance when drinking it since it wasn't well mixed. BEWARE: Since the branch on Barber Ln closed for no reason, I came a few weeks ago because I always crave for their popcorn chicken. That night when we tried this branch, first impression was the place was dirty. We ordered popcorn chicken which tasted horrible! 75% crumbs + 25% chicken.Totally different from other Quicklys. The first time I went, the cashier girl was super slow and there was a huge line behind me despite the fact that when I came in it was empty. Then an older woman took over and I thought everything would be faster but then she tried to tell me that I needed to pay her another dollar, but I could see my wrinkly bill in the cash register next to her new bills so I was adamant about having already paid that dollar. She gave me a dirty look and reluctantly forked out my change. I ordered the crispy chicken bento and it was very poorly displayed in the bento box. It looked like someone just threw everything that was supposed to be in the bento in the box then squished the lid on it. The crispy chicken wasn't even that good. It wasn't fried to a very crispy state so I could still feel the oil in my mouth. The second time I went, I decided to get a jasmine green tea with rainbow jelly. I thought it'd be easy since they usually already have a jasmine green tea pitcher ready. There was NO way they could mess this up right? Well they did, the guy making my drink decided not to read the order properly and gave me jasmine milk tea with rainbow jelly. I was disappointed with the unprofessionalism these people operate. I don't know whether this review is based on my expectations being way exceeded, but my drink was actually pretty good. There's a lot of variety, as is as probably all Quickly's, but it's still to be appreciated. I got a red bean milk tea, and I asked for no additional sugar added to the milk tea. Apparently their stock black tea has sugar added to it already, but the guy making my drink told me he'd make black tea without sugar and blend the red bean to it. It was surprisingly really good. The tea flavor could have been stronger I think, but it wasn't completely covered by the red bean. Also, it wasn't overly sweet, which was what I was afraid of. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I used to come here everyday after school when I lived in Milpitas, and I have never experienced any problems. Perhaps I'm just lucky. For drinks, I highly recommend the Oreo Snow, Peppermint Snow, Peppermint Iced Tea, Jasmine Rose Tea, Pomegranate Juice, and Smash Avocado. Their bentos boxes are delicious (my favorite is the tofu one) and their veggie burger is the bomb. Dessert wise, their egg puffs are pretty good but their Nutella Banana Waffle is the best dessert they have, in my opinion. read more

The girls ordered milk tea with coffee jelly, which they said was pretty decent compared to the coffee jelly at other places. My friend ordered chicken wings (they were pretty tiny) and I ended up ordering fried tofu, cheeseburger with fries, and a jasmine milk tea with egg pudding to go. It took what seemed like forever to put in my order. I think the dude at the register was a rookie because he looked like he was trying to find Waldo! Not too big of a deal. We ended up waiting a little longer than expected for the food and drinks we ordered. The food was mediocre at best. The tofu didn't have much flavor and they didn't poke holes on the top of the container -- it's the tiny details that count! In an era where paper is becoming obsolete, it's a real inconvenience when a restaurant requires cash payments. There is a $10 minimum if you want to use your card. The food here is overpriced with items, reasonable with others. Do not get the fried octopus on its own because they give you far too little. Consider the fried popcorn chicken instead since chicken is cheap and you get three times the amount for the same price. The lobster balls they have here basically look like colored fish balls so it's more like lobster paste. Their seafood porridge is misleading because it has a huge portion of beef in it with one fishball and half of a shrimp (yes, half). The service here is bad. Its only niche is the Asian groupies that pack this place at night for a boba drink. Weirdly, the line was almost out the door when I entered this Quickly around 10pm on a Friday Night. There were a lot of high school kids. It's weird for me to see a lot of people in a Quickly as a socal girl.. Another weird thing about this Quickly is that they serve banh mi here. Top 3 reasons why I hate this place: -Immature, high school "ricer" kids into this whole JDM (when they have no idea what JDM really means) and say "swag" after every sentence. Love this spot because they're open late on the weekends. Their drinks are not the best, but I still come here often just because they're super quick and I can't get over their popcorn chicken and rice deal. It seems that they've added a few more drink sizes too which is cool, but I still get a large. My top 3 drinks from here are peach green tea, jasmine milk tea, and thai tea. Another reason to like this spot versus the one in Milpitas, is that the Milpitas location is so powdery.
