I was a bit disappointed with D-D Delight. There was a lot of hype around this place, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to it for me. The menu is packed with trendy fusion concepts and buzzword-type dishes: Dino Ribs Pho, bone marrow fried rice, Bò Kho Poutine, chili crunch, birria tacos, lechon mashups, and all kinds of creative Vietnamese and Filipino-inspired combinations. I appreciate the creativity and some of the dishes were actually pretty good, but others really fell short. Sometimes it felt like there were just too many ideas and trends being combined into one menu. The dishes sound amazing and definitely photograph well, but the actual flavors were hit or miss. Overall, this felt more like a hype and social media type of restaurant than a place I would return to specifically for the food. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.
Nice little find during my visit to San Jose! It would be 5 stars but the service is a little slow (they are very nice though). The Dino rib is nice cause it's already cut and presented on the bone so you don't have to worry about nawing into a rib bone . Bone marrow was very succulent. I loved my lechon plate, a glutinous dish, though my skin wasn't as crispy as I would have liked it to be. Good salmon, full of flavor. I don't think they have plain rice so tomato rice (or sticky) were the only options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a place that looks to get busy quick, on the go territory so it's not a very optimal place for quiet (or to bring a baby) but would come here again![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dessert they had options but I went for the sweet Bangkok which oddly took a lot of time to make. Once it arrived though it was very very good - and would come back just for that.
I'm so happy I came across this place. I've passed by it so many times and I finally gave in and don't regret it at all. I got a egg coffee and it was ok to me however my bf really liked it. I got the short ribs/bone marrow fried rice and my bf got the Dino rib sizzling plate. Both were so good and the meat was so tender full of flavor. This is a must try and don't skip out it's amazing!! But I will say the waiters tend to ask how everything is as we pay so I guess checking often would be better for customer experience.
Talk about authentic Vietnamese food with a twist of creativity, and most importantly- full of flavor! It's been a long while since I been to D-D, so I was happy to see my usual favorite (Bo Kho) along with a whole expanded menu! My family and I ordered the Bo Kho, Dry Noodles with Shaken Beef , Taiwanese Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the Lechon Lettuce Wrap Everything came out fast, hot, and visually appealing. Taste and quality of the food was great, with the meat juicy and tender (falling off the bone), noodles al dente, the pork and vermicelli dish well balanced. The only thing I would have liked more is if the Taiwanese chicken can be a thicker cut. We also got the chance to be greeted and served by the owners, Diane and Chef Duy - along with their friendly staff. They suggested the Pandan Matcha (which is made with REAL Pandan) and the Salted Matcha Pretty good drinks for a restaurant! We also had the pleasure of trying their desserts (offered through their full catering service), which were all delicious and not too sweet! My personal favorite was the Pandan Crème Brûlée
Will DEFINITELY be going again with my other friends!! The vibe of the restaurant is chill and the decor is so pretty!! Loved to see that they have a small outdoor patio, but it was too hot out for us to want to use it. Our server was very nice and patient while we looked through the menu. The food? Omg that short rib/bone marrow fried rice was 5/5 and the pandan bac xiu I got was sweet without being over powering. Can't wait to try out the other coffees, matcha drinks, and get the short rib again lol.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is cozy and very pretty inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating, and you have the option to order through a QR code, their kiosk, or with a staff member.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their staff is quick to assist and very welcoming :) OKAY THE FOOD: * Soft Shell Crab Tempura: Pretty tasty! I appreciate that it was perfectly crispy and had a great amount of crabs. * Hand Pull Sui Cao/ Brisket Noodle: Think of Bo Kho with chonky brisket & the bounciest yellow egg noodles. PRETTY YUMMY and would probably get it again. * Short Rib Bo Kho Platter: This dish was literally insane. A little different, but it worked out LOL I love their toasted bread a lot more than the toasted tortillas with this dish. * Salted Matcha: I am such a matcha snob, but their salted matcha was *chef's kiss* I definitely want to come back and try their other matcha drinks as well as their other drinks (there's a HUGE selection)

Everything was clean and beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To order, you have the option to do so at the counter, by scanning a QR code, or through a waiter. Service was quick and friendly! short ribs bo kho platter (serve up to 2 people): This dish was delicious! It came out cheesy and hot, and the flavors really burst. I also liked that they give you both tortillas and bread on the side. banh mi french toast: This dish was also delicious! I'm not sure what the yellow sauce was, it tasted like vanilla to me, but it was really good. My only complaint is that the dish was a bit too sweet for me, but if you have a sweet tooth, you should definitely try it! The bread was super eggy in a good way. first love lychee hibiscus: The drink was tart and refreshing. It did have way too much ice though, about 60% of the drink was ice. I do wish it had a stronger lychee flavor, but it was a nice touch that there was an actual lychee fruit in the drink. Overall, I would definitely come here again!

We came around 4pm on a Sunday and there wasn't anyone dining in, so we got seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was in awe of how pretty the restaurant was, so the host sat us in the corner with the pretty signage and artificial cherry blossom tree hehe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is very big, which can be a bit overwhelming. We decided to stick to our usual order, short rib/bone marrow fried rice and crispy chicken fried rice, but decided to try the shaken beef fries as an appetizer. The food came out really quick, since it was just us there at the time. The shaken beef on the fries were very tender and just melts in your mouth! When we packed our leftovers, you can see the juices from the beef spilling out lol. My bf gave me some of the crispy chicken skin from his bowl and it was so good; you can hear the crunch when I bit into it! My short rib/bone marrow fried rice was amazing as usual and very filling. We agreed that the food tastes even better when it's served fresh! We both enjoyed our drinks; sunset (mango hibiscus) and sparkling passionfruit calamansi. They have so many drinks that sound so good! Matcha, tea, fruit tea, milk tea, coffee, dessert drinks, and so much more! Our waiter, Duy, was very friendly and provided us with great customer service. We appreciated him checking up on us and making sure we were content with our meal. I would love to try their other dishes, but I keep coming back for the same thing haha. Maybe I'll try something new next time!
Good Vietnamese fusion food! Although the plaza it's located in is kind of sketchy, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the atmosphere and restaurant decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waiters were friendly and service was quick. They had an extensive drink menu, so I ended up getting the matcha cloud, which was okay. For the price point, I would rather get it elsewhere. I really enjoyed the shaken beef sticky rice and the bo kho fries. However, the food can be a little bit salty if you are sensitive to that. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes!
Extensive menu, lots of choices, everything looks good. We ordered 2 of the popular dishes - Short Ribs/Bone marrow rice plate (heavenly!!!) & Lechon Fried Rice (good too but wish the skin was crispier). Interiors are clean and nicely decorated. Ordered Togo, Lion King Salmon rice plate & Shaken Beef rice plate. Both were good. Would definitely come back to try the other items.
So underwhelming! I was so excited to try D-D Delight, but I was disappointed. The food is ok- it's trying too hard to be too many things where you can't really appreciate it tbh. It's just too busy. While it is unique and a fun try, it's not for me. The service we experienced on a Saturday for lunch was very poor. We got 3/4 of our entrees, and we continued to wait for the last one. I had to physically get up and catch someone from the counter, as they avoided my table since they thought they were done serving us. It was after waiting for 20 minutes, btw, and when I asked about our last entree, I was told "oh sorry we lost the ticket"... That really left a foul taste for me.... MEH. I don't feel inclined to come back personally, but I can see the novelty. It's cute inside and it's fusion-y and fun. I get it.

Everything was very flavorful and the presentation is very thoughtful. I had the Lion King salmon plate, which was fresh and flavorful. I wish I orders one of the star or favorites items. The ube chicken and waffles and the Dino banh mi dip were delicious! Any of their sauces were packed with flavor. The first time we had DD's was so good. The soy garlic chicken was juicy, and I tried the Dino rib banh mi which was super tender and really fell off the bone. Really tasty stuff This time around I brought my parents to try it. My dad ordered the Dino rib ramen. To my surprise, the meat came just sitting on top of the bone as if the bone was reused. I get that maybe the Dino bone might be getting expensive to supply but the authenticity of the dish just fell right out the window for me. Otherwise, service was good and fast, the place is clean with pretty decor. The drinks came after the meals were delivered though, wish they brought them out sooner. read more

D-D Delight was so yummy! Located in a strip mall with other businesses, they do have a "decent" parking lot; however, the inside is not that spacious, so either come early or on a weekday. It is a nice setting though, with tables and decor set-up. Service was spot-on from the moment we arrived; we were seated immediately and given such colorful menus. D-D is known as a more "Contemporary" take on not just Viet Cuisine, but pan-asian cuisine; their menus include lechon, ramen, and shaken beef --- in essence, there should be something for everybody here at restaurant! My table got 3 items --- let's go thru them quickly: 1) Appetizer - Bang Bang Shrimp: This dish began the meal right. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, quite large in size for an appetizer, and served with a nice tangy sauce. 2) Entree - Bone Marrow + Short Rib Fried Rice: This dish is perfectly portioned for lunch; it's not too big, nor too small. The most impressive part? Using your spoon --- and scooping out the bone marrow to mix into the short rib fried rice. This is decadent, but when will you ever do something like this again? Definitely try, and at least for me, maybe order it "spicy". I was missing a little bit of heat or acid to cut through the richness of the whole dish (that's why it's 4 stars); still a solid dish though. 3) Entree - My friend got the Soft Shell Crab Wrap, and she loved it. It comes on a plate in a build-your-own-wrap assembly. The crab was delicately fried, and was nice and soft; all the additions to the wrap really made it a stellar meal. My friend finished the whole dish. All in all, if you're in the area, definitely pay this restaurant a visit! read more
TLDR: This is a very solid Viet fusion spot for the food, but was not a huge fan of the drinks. My friends did like their drinks, but personally, I don't like my drinks sweet and mine was still super sweet even though I asked for it to be less sweet. I will be back to try some of their other dishes. Everything was plated nicely and the restaurant itself was a nice spot to enjoy food and good company. Food: 4/5 I got the lechon sticky rice and the pandan matcha. It was a pretty decent sized portion, but I feel like the fried rice version would have been the better move. Flavors were good on everything, but the lechon skin was crunchy yet very tough to chew and even cut through. I originally wanted to get the short rib / bone marrow fried rice, but they were out of bone marrow on a Tuesday afternoon, so that was a bummer. My friend got the BBQ brisket fried rice, which to me was mroe flavorful and overall a fabulous dish. The pandan matcha had a nice pandan flavor, but the matcha was not high quality, so it was definitely not my favorite. My friends did like their coffee drinks though, so the better move would be to get their other drinks. I don't think their matchas are the move. Staff/Space: 5/5 The staff was super nice and attentive, didn't have any issues with them. It was a very casual, cozy atmosphere that wasn't too loud. It made for a nice spot to enjoy good food and chat. The inside is also decorated that makes for a nice aesthetic if you're looking to post it on IG. The parking lot is kinda tiny, so you may have to park on the street and walk a bit, but it wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. read more
I came here for lunch on a weekday, and it was busy inside. I got the chicken plate and really enjoyed the variety of food. It was super yummy, though I made the mistake of not getting the chicken spicy. Next time, I'll definitely make sure to do that. The pork belly tacos were amazing! The broth was so flavorful, and even the fried rice was delicious. The ube matcha was a 10000/10--definitely a must-try! As a dine in customer, I am a huge fan! Their food is very unique and I have not had a bad experience/item. The parking lot may be tough at peak times. However, as a customer who ordered party trays, I am very disappointed in this establishment. I ordered 2 trays ($65 each) and the total came out to be $170. At first, I wondered why the total was so high so I went to check the receipt. Turns out they charged me 30% tax! I had to cancel my order because $40 worth of tax could get me a whole party tray from somewhere else. Please check your receipt if you ever do party trays here! read more
Came here for lunch and it was fairly busy but still had a couple of tables open so we did not have to wait to be seated. They have an extensive menu and everything sounded delicious. Pandan dalgona coffee (4/5) i really enjoyed how each sip consisted of a hint of pandan flavor and was not overwhelmed by the coffee flavor. The lady finger was light and airy and was great for dipping into the coffee. Dino ribs sizzling plate (2/5) very disappointed in this dish because I was expecting the flavors to be more like Bon Ne but I felt as if I got a fajita dish. This plate was mid in terms of flavors. Dino rib pho (4/5) Meat was tender and the soup base kind of reminded me of a birria consume. The noodles were perfectly cooked and soaked up the flavor of the broth well. First time here and we seated right away. Our waitress was nice and attentive. They have a pretty huge selection menu with pictures. I ordered the Dio Rib sizzling plate and it was pretty good flavorful. It came with tender meat off the bone, pickled onions, veggies, paté, two runny eggs, banh mi bread on the side. Everything was delicious and filling. I also ordered a peach calamansi jasmine tea. I would for sure come back here and try their other items on the menu. Gas Viet fusion food, ngl from the outside and plaza I didn't think it was a cute and modern viet fusion spot. Highly recommend though. The fusion tacos and the Bò Né is fire. The tacos were a mix of birria and bò kho. I did wish they gave the bread for the Bò Né. The chicken sandwich was also hella massive. Definitely will come to try more. Service was also solid, they gave us new water bottles when we ran out pretty quickly. We were also seated pretty fast. read more

My only critical comment is that we dined on a VERY warm day and the restaurant was warm, too. Fortunately, our server made sure we had enough ice water. We look forward to coming back. read more

They have an overwhelming menu with tons of great Asian fusion offerings. Ordered 4 dishes, which was already more than we could eat, but will definitely be back to try some of the other appealing options. I really wanted to like this place since I love Vietnamese fusion but it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. The workers were extremely friendly and nice too and the place was so cutely decorated. I thought the food was decent. The presentation was nice but colorful but the flavoring was just a bit off for me. Maybe a little too rich/dense flavored for my taste. read more

We were looking for good noodles and stumbled upon this place. The parking lot throws you off at first but don't worry park and walk in to a pleasant clean atmosphere! We were welcomed and attend to by DUY and he did such an amazing job. He was very kind and his recommendation of the sandwich was right on the money. We had the R30 and D45, the only thing I have to say is I'm mad I couldn't finish everything because it was so darn good. The menu has so much to choose from and we seriously can't wait to be back. Our daughter has autism and it's very hard for her to find a spot she truly loves and this is one of the few times I've seen her want multiple things. I always passed on this restaurant because of the location and the high turnover rate of previous restaurants in this spot. I was also skeptical about the Vietnamese and Filipino fusion concept based on the menu. I was wrong -- 1000%. The place is beautifully decorated, the staff was super friendly, and I really liked the ordering system with photos of the dishes. Most importantly, the food was AMAZING. Everything we tried was packed with flavor and exceeded expectations. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu. read more
12:05 -party of 7 on a sunny Sunday We put our name on the list, 4 parties ahead of us, and waited 20ish mins. You can scan and order or order with the kind server as we did. The restaurant stayed busy throughout lunch but service was great and food and drinks were epic. My brother and SIL live in San Jose, but had never been before. They are adding to their list of faves. The biggest issue we had was trying to narrow down our selections. The chicken dishes were so moist and juicy, lechon and fries under the poutine so crispy, and the VIETNAMESE SHORT RIB was the show stopper. I can't wait to return. Located in an assuming plaza, with an unassuming logo. The interior was very cute and modern though. I've been craving Bo ne, so that's what I opted for. The meat was good (pate wasn't amazing, steak was not bad, but I've just had better). I did really like the bread that came with it though. It was a lot softer than expected with a thin crusty exterior. I normally don't order drink at restaurants, but it was so hot that day i ordered a calamansi tea. It was refreshing and much needed. Pretty and tasty food! D-d delight has a great assortment of asian fusion food. My party really enjoyed the food that we ordered. I enjoyed the lechon sticky rice. The lechon is everything you would want - crispy and fatty. It paired great with everything it was served with. I was a big fan of the pate. I do think the price is reasonable for the quality and portion size. The place itself is on the smaller side and shares already small parking lot with a couple stores. Would recommend either carpooling or coming on a weekday if you plan on showing with a larger group. I would definitely come back and try some of their other dishes! read more
D-D Delight delivered in presentation, flavor ambience and service. Not usually a fan of fusion flavors but here, it's just different. All four of us got something different: shaken beef with tomato rice, shaken beef with dry ramen, bone marrow subbed with dry ramen and the colossal Dino banh mi French dip. Every dish had a uniqueness and had flavors popping in its own way. I love that every dish had a dip or sauce that compliments the entree beautifully. The shaken beef was my favorite. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, peppery and had a nice char to it. They also have al fresco dining which is a plus so we can bring our pup with us. The host was nice enough to turn on the heater on this cold rainy day. Will return every time I'm in the area. read more
The number of highly rated reviews at D-D Delight is well deserved. For highly flavorful fusion dishes, this restaurant has you covered! Located in a small plaza, there is parking but it is shared with other stores in the plaza so I can understand why parking might be tough during peak hours and weekends. There's a lot to choose from on the food menu, let alone their drink menu is a whole page in itself. Order and pay using the QR code or you can order with a server. We went with one of their top rated drinks - the peach calamansi sparkling. It's gorgeous in its layers from the butterfly pea tea to the peach marmalade at the bottom. It's refreshing, not too sweet, and tastes natural! Great peach flavor coming through from the marmalade. I chose the shaken tofu rice plate. The tofu pieces did seem a little squished as if they lost some volume but it might be the tofu they use and how it's fried. The flavor was so delicious - strong and fragrant. The tomato rice cuts some of that flavor bomb back as it's more lightly seasoned and then the greens with pickled onions helps to round things out. The picanha sizzling steak comes with warm bread on the side to soak up all the sizzling juices and pate. Eggs, steak, fries, mushrooms - really what more could you want? The picanha was tender and slightly pink. Service was friendly and efficient. Clean and bright interior. I'd definitely return again! Drink and two entrees costed just shy of $50 after tax without tip. read more
Food: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 My friend handled the reservation, so my understanding is that we had one for 15 but they had to split us into two tables (inside and outside) in order for us to be sat at the same time, which we were. Also, we were sat within minutes of our entire party arriving. The table I was sat at was clean and the menus were in great condition (not sticky and good sturdy quality). I was a bit confused with the food selection, since the front of the restaurant says contemporary Vietnamese but their menu had a lot of items I would find at a Filipino restaurant. Nonetheless, I am Filipino so that just meant everything sounded extra good. I ordered a steak rice plate. The steak was good with what looked like a creamier chimichurri, but the portion was on the smaller side. Also, it seems like some of the descriptions on the menu aren't followed to the T. The egg wasn't sunny side up and there was only one when the menu uses a plural. It was still good though. My husband got what we thought was a Vietnamese coffee, but based on the receipt it was just an espresso (H11). It was still very tasty, and the tiramisu cream with the lady finger was a nice touch (definitely dip it into the drink). The matcha French toast was so fluffy that it took no effort to cut with a fork, and I liked how the salted cream was on the side so we could control the ratios. Only critiques I have for the dish are that parts were noticeably burnt and the strawberries didn't seem fully ripe. Service overall was decent. The staff was friendly and eager to get what we requested, but they seemed a little overwhelmed (place was kind of busy) and we had to flag them down for basic things instead of them checking and being proactive. Came here on a Saturday and it was quite busy, with limited parking, so we had to park in a nearby neighborhood. My boyfriend and I ordered the lechon rice plate and the Dino ribs sizzling plate. The lechon was perfectly crispy, the rice was well cooked, and it came with a citrusy, tangy dipping sauce that complemented everything really well. The Dino ribs were served with birria sauce, tortillas, and bone marrow. The short ribs were very tender, and the bone marrow was rich and flavorful, making the dish especially satisfying. I also ordered two drinks: a passion fruit with calamansi and a pandan matcha. Both were tasty, and I really enjoyed their drink selection overall. The food was amazing, but the customer service was lacking, which is why I'm giving this place a 4/5. We had to repeatedly flag someone down for basics like water and napkins, and the drinks took much longer than expected to come out. read more

I came back to D-D Delight specifically for their Dino Rib Banh Mi because the first time I had it, it was incredible. It was a massive, tender rib sandwich with a large bone you had to pull out yourself, super soft meat that melted in your mouth, and a great dipping sauce. Easily worth the ~$25. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience, maybe because it was later in the evening. When the sandwich came out, it looked nothing like what I had before. There was no bone at all, the meat seemed like a completely different cut, and it was dry and tough. The bread was also burnt and overly hard. I even asked the staff if this was the correct order, and they confirmed it was. When I asked the young man about the missing bone (like in the photo), I was told they "decided to take it out to make it easier to eat," which already felt off. The food itself confirmed it... this was not the same sandwich. To make things worse, a drink we ordered didn't arrive until we were already paying the bill. When I brought up the issue while paying, I was told the picture is "just for advertising and not real." That didn't make sense since I've personally had the sandwich before exactly as shown with the rib and bone. After pointing that out, the young girl's response was basically "I'll tell the kitchen," and that was the end of it. Between the inconsistent food quality, misleading presentation, and poor service, this was a very disappointing experience. I came back expecting the same great dish and left feeling like I was served something entirely different. I won't be returning. read more
Came here Tuesday for lunch and not that busy. Located in a small corner plaza so parking can be difficult if busy. The restaurant is clean and the vibe is hip as they had party music playing throughout. It is bright and well lighted and had a small outdoor seating on the side. The menu is clean and very presentable and colorful and has numerous pictures to explain the many different dishes, drinks and even has catering options. We ordered: W1: Vietnamese Short Ribs Bo-SSAM- the presentation is on point as the leafy veggies came in a flower pot. Very colorful and vibrant and the ribs were off the bone, sliced and put back on top of the bone. Very tender and tasty. The veggies looked fresh and not wilted as some Vietnamese restaurant. D50: Saigon Cheesesteak (Banh Mi Pho Mai Bo- looked amazing. Bun is toasted and the cheese was fried, melted on top of the sandwich. Very good! G43: Peach Calamansi Tea- very good and recommended! Overall we were satisfied as this maybe a hidden gem as it is not located in a busy plaza and can be overlooked due to its located. We will definitely come back when in town to try the many other things on the menu. The staff was very friendly. At 12:09 the place was full as there are only 11 tables inside that ranged from 2 -4 seats per table. The pricing is not bad for the food, quality and setting they put you in. No restroom inside. Definitely a hidden gem that is a must try in the Bay Area. read more
