For lunch, the indoor seating was removed and service is either at the bar or on the patio, since the floor space has been taken up by gaming tables. This remains a nice casual place for a business lunch, but aim for a sunny day to sit outside. Be aware that there will be background traffic noise from the 101 & I-880 freeways. There is a varied Asian fusion menu that has something for everyone, plus a burger and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. If you you prefer a traditional Asian restaurant, perhaps head to Japantown. Stopped by for a quick bite or late lunch. Parking can be a hassle since if right inside or next to the casino so abit of walk, which is fine to build up an appetizer. The place is well decor with big bar and big dinning area or areas, they do have outdoor patio and private dinning areas too. Service is okey since there's not much of it. We only saw one host and 1 or w servers. Menu is big with varies of choices. Our server was nice and friendly but once he's went away, it will be a long long long time to the next visit. The only restaurant at Bay 101. Never really appealed to me to come here to eat but met up with an old coworker and wanted to try it out! We both got their turkey avocado club sandwhich that comes with fries. The sandwhich comes with cranberry sauce in it too which I thought was interesting. Usually cranberry sauce would be more of a Thanksgiving thing but works for this too. Fries are so good here but it did make my stomach a bit upset a few hours later. I hosted my husband's 40th birthday at The Province. The management and staff were great to work with and the event went so smoothly! They even added in some "extras" for free like a backdrop for photos, different themed "40" decor, and an AV system. They had a large catering menu to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. They also allowed me to bring in cake and did not charge a cake-cutting fee. I would definitely host an event there again! read more

We came In for an early dinner and there was only a few people at the bar. I haven't been to the province in years and we were in the area so we went for it. Server seemed nice but wasn't too attentive. Mostly stuck around with the people at the bar. We ordered some appetizers and other dishes shortly after. My wife ordered pho and I ended up getting the shaking beef plate. Dropped the food off and didn't see him till we were done. The supervisor walked past and asked if we needed anything so she asked for the soups condiments, soup spoon, chopsticks and more water. That should've been an automatic with that order? My wife and I eat out regularly. We have been to many different restaurants in the past. However, the experience here has prompted me to share one of the worst in the past 19 years that I have been in the bay area. To start off we participated in Valentines couple special 5 course dinner package. Started off immediately with the waitress spilling wine on my wife. Instead of moving us to a different table she wiped off the still wet table and then served us with one appetizer for 20 mins and we kep wondering do we need to share this single plate or will they give us another one. Then they served us one more eventually. They delayed taking the order of the salad and did the same thing. My wife was server the salad and I kept waiting. They did server the main course but then completely forgot about the desert. We walked out without having desert. There goes our worst valentine experience. We complained to the manager, who apologized, he gave us his card and told us to call him back to. make things right. We texted him the next day, He responded with a single line but never got back with some kind of solution. One positive. The place was clean and smelt nice. Buddy of mine wanted to gamble a little bit so I went along for the ride. After losing a few bucks we decided to try Province and it wasn't the experience I would have hoped for. The interior is beautiful, so I was ready for such a great dining experience. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was completely empty. I was honestly confused on why it took so long for our waiter to come speak to us, but it was about 10 minutes of us sitting alone before being waited on. Food was actually pretty good, I really enjoyed the shaking beef and the spicy shrimp appetizer. December 31, 2025..We come for the New Year's Eve Party with my husband, my son and his girlfriend, there is a Band and DJ to entertain everyone with different kind of music, ,90's is the team that night. We also have the dinner reservation that night, and beyond my expectations, I enjoyed every meal they served. From the appetizer to the dessert. We had an event in this place twice, The place is nice, the floor manager Yaz is so nice, accomodating and nice to talk to. But the Russian guy who's been trying to be a "wannabe" manager is bossing around our guests, giving them a hard time entering the venue and overpricing the table's prices, while I can't believe they won't even give a cup of iced water & that you need to buy one. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the service I received during my visit to your establishment. As a patron in search of good service, I regret to inform you that The Province did not meet my expectations in this regard. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lackluster attitude from the staff. The initial interaction lacked warmth and seemed disinterested. The service standard I expect, which includes a polite greeting and assistance with the menu, was not met. When it came to placing our order, the experience did not improve. The server seemed indifferent and did not provide recommendations or engage with us in a friendly manner. We ordered the Chicken Vegetable, Fried Rice, and New York Steak well done. Despite placing our order promptly, we were served the Chicken Vegetable after a substantial delay of 25 minutes. Regrettably, the New York Steak never made its way to our table. It was only after we inquired about the delay that the server informed us that the steak was taking longer because we had requested it to be cooked well done. Given the considerable delay and lack of proactive communication from the staff, we made the decision to cancel the steak order. The response we received from the server, implying that the delay was due to our preference for a well-done steak, did not resonate well with our group. As customers seeking a pleasant dining experience, we were disappointed by the service level at The Province. The delays in serving our order and the lack of attentiveness from the staff overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. I trust that this feedback will be taken constructively to improve the quality of service at your establishment. Came here to celebrate Lunar New Year, the pork bao tasted like hard rubber meat inside and the shaken beef was overcooked. When I told the manager, his response is you ate it already. I frequent here because there aren't any other options beyond The Province here at Bay 101. Call me crazy but I just miss the cheaper eats, bigger food option list, and bomb eats that the old Bay 101 used to have. Late night eats are not the same!!! Waaaaaaahhhh!!! Flavors aren't spot on when it comes to the Asian aspect but they certainly aren't bad. Food is absolutely catered towards the American palate. For those who are looking for a true authentic Asian-flare, avoid this place completely- it really wouldn't be worth the calories. FYI: I highly recommend you double check your togo orders before taking off. Great place to have a drinks and appetizers but the restaurant ambience was a bit unlike the pictures on the website. It was a bit hard to find a greeter because it was early on an off day. Nevertheless, had a nice time catching up with friends in a quiet corner and the waitress was very attentive with A+ service. Driving 2 hours, We came to San Jose specifically for your night club province. We decided to go early so we could have dinner. The menu was cool they had choices. We chose the curry and the pad tai dish. When I tell you this was the biggest mistake I'm not playing. First off no one's plates were cleared, meaning everyone who dined that night did not finish there food people were disgusted and talking bad about the food all around our table. When we got there it took rough 20 min to get asked if we would like to order. I ordered espresso martini that was sour and tasted spoiled it was so hard to drink it, everytime id try to take a sip i gagged., then our food finally comes another 20 min later and when we saw the food we were already like "what is this?" The look of the food was horrible. The padtai looked like someone vomited all over it. And that is no exaggeration, I hadn't eaten all day looking forward to this place so I decided to go ahead and at least try it. It was horrible it didn't just look like vomit it actually smelled like vomit. And the taste was herendous. I don't know what that was but it Def. Was not padtai. The curry? Wth it was Indian curry on hard crunchy potatoes not cooked, carrots and about 3 small bites of chicken with a curry sauce that was gross. So needless to say we were still hungry but moved on from that to the night seen on empty stomachs. Good job cooks and servers yall realy won us over so far. (Not) , we realy were hoping our experience was just a flook and the club part would be the shining part of our night. So we gave it another chance even ordered a bottle of don 70 just so we could have a table. The lady was so nice gave us a great spot way in the back lol away from music our view was the back of the bar where servers came and went getting drinks for everyone. Oh and let me tell you the sectional seating WOW so nice but not safe hello it was broken it kept falling back the whole night so we stood. The whole point of vip is to have the best experience while also comfortable and have your space however people were so close pushing on the sectional moving it all around. Lets get to the music. When this place opened up it used to be pretty cool. They had a great Asian infusion menu and ambiance. They still have a great outdoor area with a fire pit. The plates and cocktail glasses were all plastic. Menu seemed really off- you can get Asian inspired dishes like lo mein and shakin beef but then there's also Italian dishes. This was a shit show from beginning to end. We arrived for an 8:00 reservation at 8:03 and they not only weren't ready for us, they didn't seat us until 8:45. Several couples who arrived after us were seated ahead of us, including some whose reservation time was after ours. The restaurant was incredibly understaffed. The price stated on Open Table for the Prix Fixe menu was $100, but on site they jacked it up to $105 per person. The service was incredibly slow, and a four course meal was set with a single knife and fork rolled in a cloth napkin. Additional silverware for different courses required repeated requests. The salads weren't bad, but just OK. The shrimp appetizer was decent, but not excellent. The main course, I had "airline chicken" which I hoped would be just poor choice of wording by the menu author, but turned out to be truth in advertising. She had "Surf and Turf" which was supposed to be "Fillet Mignon" with "Lobster", but they were out of the Lobster and substituted Salmon. The fillet was not a full fillet but roughly a 1" cube that while ordered medium came out resembling a Kingsford Briquette. She said the salmon was OK. My chicken was as rubbery and flavorless as you would expect in coach on Spirit if they served food, so I guess it really was "airline chicken". About 25 minutes after we finished eating, the waitress finally came by and asked if we were ready for dessert. We both said "yes'. the main course plates remained in front of us after her departure and stayed there for an additional 30 minutes until Dessert arrived and even beyond that (we had to push the plates out of the way for them to deliver the desserts). Another 5 minutes or so into dessert, someone finally came by and asked if they could take the main course plates. The only prompt aspect of service the entire evening was the arrival of the bill and demand for payment, which was actually appreciated as I could not wait to get out of there at that point. This spot was a nice surprise with friendly staff who made sure I felt welcomed from the start, it's refreshing to be treated with kindness and attentiveness without feeling pressured or rushed, the food was delicious and tasted fresh with good seasoning and just enough variety on the plate to keep things interesting, I tried a few dishes and each had a nice texture and flavor combo that showed the kitchen cared about quality, the server was polite and checked in regularly but was easy to talk to and not overbearing, the atmosphere was warm and inviting without being too busy or loud which made it easy to enjoy the meal, portion sizes were satisfying and the price seemed fair for what was offered, overall it felt like a place where the team genuinely enjoys what they do and wants their guests to have a good experience, I will definitely be back to try more because this kind of friendly service paired with tasty food is always worth it. read more

A little turn off'sh but as we committed to meet here, I sat to wait for the others. Waitress came with regular menu + HH menu. I ordered a drink and 2 HH items - truffle fries and calamari to start. The watermelon splash with tajin rim was so good and refreshing. The truffle fries and calamari were good as well. Waitress was very nice and was attentive as much as she can be as she had a few tables she has to oversee but I think she's new. She was a bit slow overall. A few of our food order didn't come out and we had to ask about it. Pot stickers took forever for some reason. Strange but the pad Thai with chicken came out fairly fast. The sun was coming in thru the window and right at my friends. I see the shade up top and asked it can be rolled down. She checked and was told that's all it went down. We had made reservations way earlier for 14 people and still when we reached there, the person at the reception said they have not received any such communication. However, they arranged a table and we all were seated. The interior and the venue is great with big TV screens as 49ers were playing that day and they won against the Steelers. The drinks order didn't go that well as the beer was flat, their cocktails were very sweet. We ordered appetizers and main courses but they were nothing great. There was also an issue that came up with one of the servers who were not that happy to serve I guess and this whole thing could be that they were not expecting a crowd of 14 people to show up on a Sunday afternoon. Anyhow, it didn't leave a great taste in everyone's mind, though I was thinking if an evening plan at their patio would have been great.
