Wings, Brussel sprouts, & Troparita cocktail
    Angelica L.

This restaurant is located inside the Sonesta Silicon Valley hotel. It was pretty empty when we arrived around dinner time (~7 PM) on a weekday. We were super excited to try this place after reviewing their menu on their website but was disappointed when they had a reduced menu that's different from what's online. Wings ($12): These wings were alright. They were not crispy/crunchy so I assume they were lightly baked. They wings were pretty small in terms of size & portion so they were not worth $12. Brussel Sprouts With Nuoc Mam ($8): These were pretty good, but the portion was small. Definitely a unique flavor and something I would get again if I come back. Troparita ($14): This tiny cocktail packed a huge punch of Jalapeño flavor. It woke me up but not something I would want to taste for an entire drink.

Very nice ambiance. I ate at the bar, but the outside patio looked like a very nice place to relax and chit chat. There are fire places outside, so that adds to the relaxing vibes. I ordered during the happy hour, which had a pretty good variety on its menu. I wasn't much of a fan of the shrimp tacos- they were decent but the lettuce and toppings overpowered the shrimp, which was chopped up into tiny pieces. Probably had a total of two whole shrimps in it. The Salmon was very good and the flavors of the sauce were a perfect match for taste.

NOT open for lunch at all.

Good food. Quick and good food options. Reccomend, but pricey. Not really worth the money.

I never leave bad reviews and I don't mind overpriced drinks but the same bartender was rude three nights in a row to us.

You can tell they put a lot of thought into the details. The restaurant itself is also really cute and aesthetically pleasing. The service was fast and friendly, and our food came out surprisingly quickly. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch here and would definitely come back again!

After reading through some reviews, I decided to order the bone marrow fried rice, and this was easily the highlight. I'd definitely order it again next time. It came with a generously sized bone marrow bone with plenty of marrow inside. I immediately scooped it all out, broke it up, and mixed it into the fried rice, which made every bite incredibly rich, savory, and indulgent in the best way possible. Their take on bò né, on the other hand, could be a hit or miss depending on your expectations. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me. I appreciate the creativity behind their fusion version, but I didn't feel like the changes necessarily elevated the original dish. The meat also wasn't as tender or juicy as I would've liked. It wasn't a terrible dish by any means, but despite how interesting and tasty it looks in photos, it's probably not something I'd recommend or order again. Overall, I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu. They offer a lot of unique and creative dishes that you don't typically see elsewhere, and the bone marrow fried rice alone was good enough to make me want to return. Next time, I'd skip the bò né and use the stomach space to try a few more of their specialties!

I also really liked the mint beef soup. It tasted like a Chinese take on pho. The spicy garlicky sauce it came with was super yummy too. The pork meatball sour clay pot's meatballs had a perfect supple texture and the sour broth was great with rice. The Dai-style mushrooms were good but not as good as the rest of the dishes. Total was about $115 for four dishes and two bowls of rice. My table of three had enough leftovers for dinner.

Would love to try other dishes. - Creamy Spaghetti w/ Spicy Beef Bone (Very Spicy) : They are not kidding when they say it is very spicy. It was good, but I def had to take breaks from the spice. The cream/cheese helped a little. Would be good if they can adjust the spice level. - Assorted Mushrooms Fried Rice w/ Salted Scallions Steak : Delicious. Would recommend. - I tried another dish but I don't remember the name and I don't see it on the menu currently, but it was refreshing when I wanted a break from the other dishes. I ordered to go and everything was packed nicely and pickup was smooth.

The inside has tons of seating available and bright natural lighting. We came on a weeknight during their happy hour (!!), which is 20% off appetizers every week night between 3-6pm. Our party of three ordered mainly apps, and only deviated off that section to try their tea leaf salad :P Fried tofu - crisp and light Coconut chicken with palatha - sweeter curry, loved the flakiness and thicc-ness of the paratha Lamb curry with palatha - hearty curry sauce Salt and pepper chicken - dino nugget-esque with a nice crunch and perfect seasoning and didn't actually need the dipping sauce it comes with. Note: the dipping sauce does contain fish Chicken lettuce cups - fine taste, no notes Veg samosas - fine also, basic Tea leaf salad - ordered for the health and textural crunch. So delicious Service was good. Our waitress was very informative in each dish and also quite attentive with refiling waters. Overall, great meal and would love to return to try their mains.
