It had been years since I'd last been here, so I came back with a couple of friends for Paella Mondays. I really liked that they had live music playing, it added to the overall vibe of the evening. The paella was a good portion for two people to share. It came out in the classic paella pan and was pretty good overall. We might've had leftovers if we weren't so hungry. My only complaint was that it was missing that crispy rice layer at the bottom, which is my favorite part of paella. For dessert, we shared the tres leches cake, and wow, the slice was huge and definitely meant for sharing, and also delicious. The restaurant was very busy that night and packed with people. Some of the other menu items are on the pricey side. As someone who grew up eating Mexican food, it's hard for me to justify paying those prices for dishes I'm used to making at home. That said, paella is something that takes time and effort and isn't something I normally make myself, so it felt more worth it. Overall, a fun night with good food, live music, and a lively atmosphere.

We went here for lunch to this hidden gem in Livermore. We made a reservation in case they were busy but being a Friday afternoon, it was not busy. The place had a very romantic ambiance and the lights were dim. They had a large selection of drinks and a full bar. The food was delicious. I had several appetizers: breaded cauliflower, chicharrón con queso fundido and esquite. I also had the asada dinner plate. For dessert we had the churros with coffee. The waiter was very nice and very attentive. I will definitely be back. It was a very pleasant experience.

Came here on Monday and it was phenomenal. I enjoyed the live music and the Chipotle Chicken Paella was great with a lot going in a good way. The chef was accommodating and allowed us to order the Roasted Poblano Pepper-Honey Butter Vegetables even though Mondays are only for Paellas, and we were able exclude the chorizo due to dietary restrictions of my accompanying party members. I liked that they accommodated the hurry we had because my mother had a flight to catch. The poblano pepper dish had a salsa-ey vibe in terms of taste going on with a nice honey taste and the pepper was also great. If you're in the mood for paella on Monday this is the place to go.

My bf and I stumbled upon here while looking for a spot to eat at near his workplace at the time. Turns out we loved it so much, we will be returning even though it is far from us! The chicharrones and corn cheese dip was to die for -- the crispy crackiness paired with the dip was enough for me to come back! Then the king ranch enchiladas with the side of rice and corn made the meal 10x better. Service is attentive and ambience is very nice!

Some of thee best tacos. My favorite was the veggie. I liked the rice and corn add on, but I still would like the traditional beans. Everything was a la cart, which allows you to mix and match. I would recommend and will be back.

We love Posada! The staff is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. It's a great spot for groups, solo dining, or dates. Mondays are paella night with live music. Always a treat!

Came here on a weekend night and this place was pretty packed. We had made an online reservation and the place was pretty crowded when we got here. I ordered the King Ranch enchiladas and my partner ordered the shrimp and chorizo pasta. We shared the crispy cauliflower. The cauliflower was probably the best dish with its sauce. The pasta was bland even though the shrimp and chorizo had some flavor. The enchiladas were cheesy yet bland and I don't think the bacon went very well with it. The rice that came with the enchiladas was a little hard and there was very little corn with it. The enchiladas could have used more flavor and sauce. I ordered salsa on the side and they charged $3 extra. The drinks were also fine, but again nothing special. We also ordered churros and those were pretty standard. I think what annoyed us is that they charge a 3% charge to use a card -- as if the prices of the food was not already high. We weren't very happy with our food here and I'm not sure we would return.

We ate here for the fourth time and it never disappoints. A different spin on Mexican/Spanish food that hits. On Mondays, the paellas are delicious. And on every other day, the menu is even better. The service is really good. This is our favorite restaurant. I love the Shrimp Chorizo and my wife loves the Enchiladas. Definitely worth a visit.

Adding the 4 stars to balance out my review to get it to 4.5 stars. Don't know why Yelp can't do .5's in reviews.

We've been here multiple times and always had a great experience. This visit really stood out because of how well the owner handled a small issue with spice levels when dining with our baby. He was kind, professional, and immediately made things right. Excellent hospitality and management. This is exactly why we keep coming back. Highly recommend, especially for families.

They know what day it is. It's the day before, Cinco de Mayo. You know what that means, it's Taco Time. Today, I'm in the East Bay. It was kinda rainy today, didn't expect that for May. I'm here at Posada Alta Cocina in Livermore this Monday evening. The decor looks elegant, Bold, Classy, and kinda intimate in here, and I didn't expect there was going to be a Stage up, and they had some live Music today, playing some Classic and favorite Music of mine's, it was nice. And I knew exactly what I wanted to get, I went with the House favorite, the Mahi Mahi Tacos with Corn Tortillas, just like how I like it, chipotle mayo, pickled Slaw, sweet Pepper Sauce, salsa Fresca, and look, there's some Watermelon salad. The Fish was Grilled almost perfectly, seasoned well, the Tortilla was so fresh, and warm, the Sauce was so good, and very flavorful. The Watermelon salad had Crunch, so much texture and contrast, refreshing, and I like how the dressing is very different than the one used on the Tacos. It was amazing, incredible, and felt authentic. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.8-4.3 stars, I want to give this a 4.3/4.4 stars, but I'm going to give this 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. I'm satisfied.

Fantastic and attentive service Delicious food Nice ambiance it's the restaurant Clean bathrooms What more can you ask for! I ordered one of the fish taco platter (comes with a watermelon side salad). The salad was so refreshing to pair with the taco. We shared the garlic shrimp appetizer and my friend got the short ribs taco. Overall had a great experience. The only downside was the place was a little pricey for the food and portion size.

Randomly stumbled on this spot and wow--what a pleasant surprise! The vibe relaxing and decor is gorgeous, perfect for date night. Restaurant was full, but not loud. Food was absolutely amazing and packed with unique flavors you don't find everywhere. Drinks were on point too --tasty and well-balanced. Service was excellent , super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely coming back soon! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

On Resy, when making a reservation, it gives the option of the dining room, patio, or an Jefe Table...what is an Jefe Table?

    Do you offer vegan dishes?

    Any vegetarian options?

Yes but not many. They won't allow customizing the menu according to your food choice. For veg option, you can go with watermelon salad, and 1 entree.

Can this restaurant host a large group of 15-20 people? Is there a separate room for large group gatherings?

    Yes. No.

    Is the restaurant dog friendly?

The patio is absolutely dog friendly. And they do have heaters out there so it's not a bad spot to hang out with the pooch for amazing food, wine and beer.

I loved the jerk pork tacos! The pork was juicy, tender, and aromatic, and the mango-papaya salsa added a refreshing sweetness. I also tried the paella Oyo that my sister ordered which was sooo yummy and full of protein. The small size was more than enough! My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere had a fun lively energy. With indoor and outdoor seating options, anywhere you get seated is a nice spot. Can't wait to visit again to try their dinner menu items and drinks, and hopefully catch some live music!

We ordered their Brusselsprouts and short rib sandwich to share and the proportions were perfect, just enough food and we didn't leave a morsel behind. Their short rib sandwich was heavenly and the chimichurri sauce plus grilled peppers elevated the experience. If you're torn about ordering a full shareable of the habanero fries, here's an insider tip: we asked for a side of their habanero sauce to go with our side of fries so we would still have enough room for their short rib sandwich! Their sprouts were phenomenal. Loved the sweat punch added by the cranberries and shaved carrots to balance the charr of the brussels. Will 1000% be returning to check out their dinner menu. Most of the team was late by about 30 minutes for our reservation due to a prior meeting running long. The host was gracious enough to hold our reservation until everyone arrived. We started with some appetizers of Crispy Cauliflower, Habanero Fries, and Empanada Trio. They were all very yummy and were served with various dipping sauces. The empanadas had a nice crispy pastry and flavorful filling. I had the Salmon eggs benedict and really enjoyed it. The salmon was smokey, but the eggs could have been just a tad runnier. The salad that came with the dish was really fresh and I really enjoyed the slightly sweet dressing. I was really impressed by how quickly our dishes came out considering the size of our group (12). Overall, a nice meal with excellent service.

The deep fried beef empanada was my least favorite, the consistency was off, and I'm not even sure it was properly prepared or cooked all the way, as it was slightly cold, barely lukewarm, in the middle. The milder of their two sauces (huacatay) was indeed mild, lacking in any spice at all, it really didn't taste like anything to me. Luckily, the empanadas were good without it.
