Our server came over and introduced herself and asked if we would like any cocktails and offered us water and gave us some time to pick out what we would like to eat. He was fast, friendly and attentive. The food here is exceptionally good, especially for the prices. I feel like the prices are very good and reasonable, especially in today's time. On top of the fact that everything that we ordered here on both of our visits have been phenomenal and taste and presentation. The atmosphere is nice. The aesthetics are pretty. It does get a little bit loud, but that's understandable as everyone is there to have a good time and a good meal. We had the Salisbury steak, Reyes, beef, short rib, the flank steak, and I personally had the grilled cheese inside of smoked tomato soup. The tomato soup is literally the best tomato soup I've ever had in my life. The grilled cheese is cooked to perfection and together they are just a wow meal. A place after my heart. Monday and Tuesday best days to come in, specials both days, all day long. Great happy hour from 2:30-5:30 M-F as well. Staff is lovely; talented, friendly and always ensure their guests have the best experience possible. Food is top-notch. Order the Cajun Fettuccine and add mushrooms, it's one of the best dishes in town. So flavorful, expertly seasoned, chicken remains moist and the pasta soaks up the sauce. Have been to those restaurant now three times with different groups. First group was family second group extended family third group friends. We have had fantastic food and service all three times. I wish that I had gotten the names of the first two servers because they were great. But I do know the name of the one we had this past Saturday. Her name is Joanie And she was an absolute delight! We were there to celebrate a job promotion and Joanie made sure to congratulate our celebrant and make a fuss. It made her feel very special. Service was fabulous, food was delicious, the hostess whose name I also don't know unfortunately was also so sweet and so kind. We had a lady with us with a walker and she was so great about telling us the best place to wait for our table so that our friend would have a spot to sit on her walker seat while we waited. She was attentive to those waiting and somehow kept track of all the different groups, where they were, and dealt with incoming phone calls. Honestly, the bourbon pair has become our spot to go for special dinners. Thank you so very much everyone there. Looking forward to our next visit. Dishes ordered: crispy Brussels sprouts, these came out a little overdone, they were still good, Salisbury steak, grilled cheese sandwich, southern fried catfish, and fried chicken salad, plus smoked tomato soup for all, which is the best tomato soup I've ever had, and desserts of pear tart, creme brulee, and banana bread pudding. Besides the Brussels sprouts being a little overdone, everything was absolutely perfect. And yeah, we could have sent the Brussels sprouts back probably but they weren't bad and we actually enjoyed the crispiness of them and the bacon. When a friend from out of town wanted to meet here, I was excited and said yes! It is across the street from the Yin Yin and kitty corner from the Donut Wheel, both longtime establishments. They open at 11:30 and we were the first guests to walk through their doors on this Thursday. The host sat us way in the back. Their menu is intriguing with starters, soups, salads, burgers and entrees. We ordered: Black & Blue salad - romaine, filet tips, bleu cheese crumbles, tomato with crispy onions on top, a very pretty salad. My friend is a huge fan of bleu cheese so this was the salad for her. She especially enjoyed the protein, tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles as well as the bleu cheese dressing. She mentioned the crispy onions added an extra crunch. The meat was cooked medium like she requested. Sedona chicken sandwich - chicken breast, green chili, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato with choice of soup or salad. My sandwich was just okay. It was missing that wow factor that I was expecting. Chicken unfortunately did not have much flavor and the bun fell apart so I had to eat it with knife and fork. Service was okay. No one came back to ask how our food tasted nor did they refill my water. The place did get busier closer to 12:30 and perhaps they needed more help? The interior is pretty and tastefully decorated but it gets noisy as the restaurant fills up. It feels like a very average downtown spot - not terrible, but nothing that really stands out either. The space is pretty tight, the design is forgettable, and the overall vibe doesn't leave much of an impression. Sitting near the entrance was especially uncomfortable since it was drafty and chilly, which isn't ideal on a Friday night. Loved the giant pictures on the walls though. The pricing is on the higher side for what's being offered. Snacks felt overpriced, and drinks being close to $20 set expectations that just weren't met. Food-wise, the loaded bread was left behind on the table and didn't get much attention, and the hush puppies came out a bit dry. Service was all over the place throughout the night - sometimes attentive, other times disorganized which made the experience feel inconsistent. This is a tough review. We arrived at 6 pm with a party of 20 (reservations had been confirmed at 4 pm that day) only to be told that our table was given to another party. The pear quesadilla had a chutney sauce that is a must to put on as it pears (pun intended) perfectly with the Brie cheese. Dinner was good as well- but the one caveat is the names for the foods are.. generous. The cat fish po' boy for instance is not a po boy but rather a cat fish burger, and the French dip is not what you would traditionally thing and instead is was a whole piece of steak. Both of which were very tasty but perhaps now that you would expect. One last nice part was we had some very delightful live music. Four of us went back to the BP and must say had the same good things to say about the service, food and nice atmosphere/vibe of the place. We started with the Fondue, had some drinks and some great sandwiches along with dessert. The food there has been consistently good which is why we go back. This is our first time to this restaurant. I went with the Nashville chicken sandwich and a side salad. I like the fact that it was breaded chicken and not grilled for this particular order. The heat was average for a Nashville, hot chicken and the flavor was more in the buffalo sauce as an appetizer we ordered the hush puppies. The only downside was when I got the bill. It was $69 and they charged me for $85. When I questioned it, they added somebody else's wine to my order even after they brought me the ticket I found this to be a little disturbing and unorthodox. They were nice and fixed the mistake but I kind of felt like it was a mistake that shouldn't have happened and had I just signed and gave a tip. I would've never caught it until later. read more

First time to Livermore Bourbon Pear ( I've been to the Walnut Creek location). Vibe is very nice and open and airy. Nice bar set up. The food was amazing. We shared the truffle Mac and Cheese, the truffle garlic fries and pear quesadilla and these were all amazing plates. Our table had the Rodzilla burger and these BLT which were hits. Service was a little inconsistent- servers were very nice but made some mistakes in the order. Some minor speed bumps but the servers corrected the mistakes quickly. Amazing Restaurant and 12 min away from the Outlets! Everything here is knock out the park. I mean the cocktails were tasty and had the right amount of kick. The cheesy appetizers were all gooey and very comforting. Paired well with their signature cocktails. But their mains were to notch. I love seeing a big plate and loved the huge portions here. I met up with my ex-wife and my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner to celebrate Christmas. We chose the Bourbon Pear in Livermore because we've known the chef/owner Rodney since 2001. Rodney's first cafe/restaurant was called the Peasant and the Pear located in San Ramon. Boy has Rodney come a long way since then. My first impression of the Bourbon Pear is the ambience. Nice and quaintly located in downtown Livermore. There is both indoor and outdoor dining available. We sat outside since it was an unusual warm night in December. The second impression was the menu. Everything on the menu looks very appetizing. Our order included Cajun chicken pasta, Salisbury steak, NY strip and a Pork Chop. This restaurant has a great selection of food! Unfortunately, I'm participating in a fitness challenge and had to go for a healthier item on the menu which was delicious -- Shrimp Louis. I swapped their Louis Sauce for a Vinaigrette due to the fitness challenge but the food was still delicious. The grilled char marks on the shrimp were great! Everyone else at my table really enjoyed their food! By the end of the meal, all plates were empty which is a good sign. Additionally, our waitress was very kind. I unfortunately didn't get her name, she was a sweet small blonde woman. I asked her if she could do a little birthday song for our friend, and she happily did so & even asked for the birthday girls name which made it a nice personal touch. Overall great experience! Decided to check out The Bourbon Pear to try something new for a birthday dinner! We ordered the Brussels sprouts, Caesar salad, and the lamb shank. Both the Brussels sprouts and lamb shank could have used a lot more flavor; they were quite bland for our taste. The Caesar salad was good. You can add 3 anchovies for an extra $2. They do not take reservations, so either bring your patience or don't go if you are super hungry, as it may take a while during peak times. They do bring out food pretty fast, so that is a plus. I like that they have a kid's menu and a toy box for them to select a prize upon entry. The place was full and decor was modern with a lot of wood and posters. It was very loud inside so trying to converse was very difficult. We could barely hear one another at the table. It was a tad overwhelming and I am rarely one to complain about noisy restaurants. Stopped by Bourbon Pear in Livermore and had a fantastic meal. We started with garlic fries (you really can never go wrong with them--crispy, garlicky, and addictive) and the pear quesadillas. The quesadillas were a delightful surprise: the sweet, juicy pear paired with melty cheese created a lovely sweet‑and‑savory contrast that felt creative and completely satisfying. It was a very busy Sunday but the server made sure everyone was well taken care of. For mains we had the fried catfish with hush puppies -- the hush puppies absolutely stole the show with a crunchy exterior and tender, flavorful interior. The blackened salmon was reliably excellent: perfectly seasoned, nicely charred on the outside and moist inside -- a safe bet that delivered. My cousin's chicken was a hit as well. Okay guys I'm going to be the one to say it. WAY overpriced, and not that great of food. I would much rather go down the road a bit to Sauced for a way better burger and maybe even a little cheaper. You will not catch me here again after paying what I did for a regular burger and some regular fries. The cajun on the fries was good but definitely not worth the up charge. My fiancé got their fried chicken special and he said it wasn't anything special. It is supposed to be a honey batter but it was more batter than honey and chicken combined. Not worth getting. Was here on Saturday around 6 and the place was packed! But we found a spot at the bar. They were slammed but got us our drinks just in time for our table to be ready. The wait was much shorter than expected. It's a comfortable place to relax and have a good time with friends. All six of us had a good time being able to chat. Yes it's loud in there but that means they are doing a great job. The food was excellent. We ordered loaded sourdough bread and Brussel sprouts for the table. Yummy! Gotta get the sourdough. Cajun Chicken Pasta (4/5): I enjoyed the flavor + mild spice that came with this dish. Portion was fairly generous, lots of meat and was delicious to go. Only downside is how fast it got cold. Not sure what factors played into it, but it took a good 2 minutes for the dish to lose its heat. Otherwise, it was really yummy the first two bites. New York Steak French Dip (4/5): Was most excited to try this. I was glad the bread wasn't hard and the steak wasn't dry. I do wish there was a little *something* extra in this sandwich itself - Onions, maybe? It felt a little bit plain even with the au jus and horseradish. The fries were good, though, and the horseradish def elevated the sandwich.
