They have indoor and outdoor seating, the indoor decor is super cute with total tiki vibes, but it was a pretty evening so we snagged an outdoor table. Perfect for people-watching: right by the street, but not so close you're dodging traffic! We arrived early enough on a Friday that we were seated immediately. The drink menu has something for everyone, including mocktails (huge plus!). I went with the Mango Bubbly Beach Bum, complete with a little umbrella and twisted straw - as cute as it was delicious. Pro tip: they have heaters outside, just ask and they'll bring one right to your table. The servers and bartenders were so attentive - even sitting outside, we were never forgotten, which I really appreciated. The best part? When we paid, our server told us not to leave just yet, something was coming. The three of us were side-eyeing each other trying to figure out who planned a surprise. Spoiler: it was the bartender (I believe his name is Prince - didn't catch it that night, but other reviews confirmed my suspicions)! He brought out mini shooters in this volcano-looking contraption, sprinkled it with cinnamon, and it did a fireball thing that was SO cool. He even remembered we ordered mocktails and made them non-alcoholic. Such a thoughtful send-off! This place have wonderful icy margarita's, be sure to add shots of hard liquor to turn them into a cocktail. The favorite drink of the night was the Pigeon POG drink, it was tasty, fruity and had good top shelf liquor! Buzz!! The food menu was limited but necessary since we didn't have dinner. We ended up order the following: :| Charcuterie board - I've never seen cheese cut up to a size that would should serve squirrels. The few slices of cured meat was kinda sad. But we love the effort and the honey comb that pairs great with some stinky cheese. :( Tri-tip skewers - I would skip this. Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience My friend and I came here last night and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience at the bar. There were four bartenders working, yet we were repeatedly ignored while other customers sitting right next to us were being asked if they needed anything and were being helped. We tried several times to get the attention of the bartenders, including the tallest male bartender, who was particularly rude. I would try to get his attention, and he would literally walk away and completely ignore me. Meanwhile, other customers around us were being served. What made the experience even more upsetting was that my friend and I are Hispanic, and we couldn't help but feel that we were being treated differently than the other customers at the bar. I understand that a busy bar can get backed up, but this did not feel like a situation where everyone was simply waiting their turn. We were being repeatedly overlooked while people who arrived around the same time, and even after us, were being acknowledged and served. We eventually managed to order a drink, but when we wanted to order another drink and a dessert, once again nobody would help us. At that point, we decided to leave. I left no tip because I was extremely disappointed with the service, and I also gave a thumbs down when asked about my experience while paying. I am leaving this review because I genuinely hope management sees it. We came in expecting to have a nice evening and spend money at your establishment, but instead we left feeling ignored, unwelcome, and honestly discriminated against. I keep seeing The Fat pigeon on social media for months and decided it was time to check it out. It was pirate theme this summer. I saw a few drinks I had to try. The one I started with was the one in tbe cone glass. I can't remember the name but it tasted like melted sherbet ice cream, very sweet. My husband got one that had grapefruit. He was not a fan but I did. He doesn't like too sweet drinks. We hot the pizza and the shrimp. The pizza was good. The crust was crispy enough. I've been intrigued by the idea of this bar that completely changes themes every few months, and I finally had a chance to try it with a few friends. The current theme is Lost on Pigeon Island, and it waa both island-y and pirate-y at the same time. The atmosphere was super fun and cute, and we were seated at a low table with two couches. However, the music was quite loud, making conversation a bit challenging. In addition to their cocktail menu, they also have interesting mocktails, which can be turned into cocktails with a shot of alcohol. I chose the Golden Sunset, which was light and refreshing. We ordered some items for the table to share, including a bowl of olives, which came out piping hot, with a little bowl for the pits and toothpicks all around. We also ordered a stuffed spinach flatbread, which was served with a dollop of tzatziki. It was very tasty, but I do wish they'd been a bit more generous with the tzatziki. We ordered the chicken meatballs, which came with little pieces of garlic bread. I found the meatballs to be a little bland, despite the marinara sauce they were served in. I've been searching for a place that serves high tea and found out about this place online. This bar is located in Downtown Livermore. There is street parking but very limited even on a Monday evening. We found street parking around the block. I do want to mention that parking is limited to 2 hours max during the day until 6pm. The bar is next to several eateries, similar to Downtown Walnut Creek. We came here on a Monday evening so it wasn't busy at all. At first I thought the bar was closed! There were no customers when we walked in, it almost felt like we had the whole bar to ourselves...well, we were the only ones there, aside from the staff. The decor was amazing. When it came to the movie, they did not miss! Everything was decorated in Wizard of Oz theme, including the bathrooms. It cost $60/pp + gratuity ($24), which includes 2 pots of tea, a pastry tower (Yum!), 2 chicken skewers, and a slice of tiramisu cake. Our server/host was very knowledgeable of the tea blends. We had to select 2 out of the 4 choices. I recommend the green tea blend (this was very light and easy on the stomach) and a caramel blend. We also ordered a drink from their cocktail menu: Good Boy of Oz, which I also recommend. Overall, the service, themed decor and entire experience was exceptional. This is my holiday tradition and this year the service was superb! Destiny our server was the best. We ordered the charcuterie board, chicken and tri tip skewers and ended with a decadent chocolate ganache cake, that was so delicious. We visited the fat pigeon a couple times during the Halloween pop-up and loved it! Very creepy (in a good way) and my family had a great time. The drinks and food were very good, as was the service. One of the evenings they also had a DJ mixing music which was a lot of fun. Making a reservation online was easy, and it's recommended to book in advance if you want to visit around a major holiday. Only thing is they have limited non-alcoholic options and run out of them quickly. Because those drinks are premade, they don't remake them when they run out, so my husband couldn't get a fun mocktail and had to settle for a soda. Not the end of the world, but something I hope they could consider adjusting for the future. read more

Went last night and they were packed, the host asked if we had a reservation or if we were walking in. I let her know we were walking in and the host gave us two options. We could either put our name down and they would call us or sit outside and the first table that opens up they would let call us in. We picked the latter. I will say the music choice didn't match the theme but that's okay. Not really listening to the music since we were conversing anyway. They let u keep the naughty or nice shot glasses (while supplies last) when you order the shot. U can purchase most of the other holiday theme glasses if u want as well. We sat outside for about 20 mins which was fine because they have heaters. Order the naughty shots, nice shots, krampus, and I forgot the other name but it has mouse in it. All the drinks we ordered were more on the sweet or fruity side. Which wasn't overly sweet. I enjoyed the krampus drink the most. Did not order food this time but they do have food options available. Had a lovely afternoon tea service here on 8/17, at the end of their Wonderland-themed era. The tea was good and the food was plentiful; there was so much dessert that we had to take some to go! Loved the theme and the decorations, which were definitely Instagram-worthy. This tea service is heavy on the sweets, which is great news if you have a sweet tooth like I do. I enjoyed the sandwiches, which were a decent size. As for the desserts, the japanese-style strawberry cheesecake and the guava pastry were my favorites. Super cute themed bar! There's plenty of outdoor seating with live music on the weekends. If you want to sit inside, make reservations ahead of time. The bar is unlimited time, but the other interior seats/tables are a 1 hour time limit. We ordered: 1. Spooky tini flight ($30 for a flight of 3 martinis - espresso, bad apple, and pumpkin spice). The pumpkin spice was my favorite. The bad apple was like a sticky candy drink. 2. Hot honey flatbread ($13) Smaller than I expected, but good for what it is. 3. This place was absolutely out of this world! I love how they switch up their bar themes with the seasons--or just whatever they think will draw in a crowd. When I visited, it was decked out in a spooky Halloween vibe featuring Freddy, Pennywise, and other creepy ghouls. Since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for, I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. From the detailed décor to the creative drinks, Fat Pigeon nailed it. We tried the Brut-al Death, which had a lovely balance of passion fruit and pomegranate. Since I'm a sucker for anything with lychee, I couldn't resist ordering the Ode To Freddy, made with lychee, mango, and hibiscus. It turned out to be a warm drink, and I appreciated that our server made sure to mention that since most people would probably pass once they hear "warm." But I was all in--and I'm so glad I tried it. It was like a dangerously delicious tea. My sister had heard they serve some drinks in special cups, perfect for those "IG-worthy" photos, so of course we asked about them. We ended up ordering Death Do Us Part and Screams At The Island. Both were served in the cutest themed cups and tasted just as good as they looked. Screams At The Island came in an adorable ghost cup, creamy with a refreshing mango flavor. Death Do Us Part was presented in a clear skull cup with a white mini rose that they lit on fire--once it burned down, it transformed into a little red rose. The drink itself was a classic margarita, but the presentation made it memorable. Came here for the first time after seeing the IG post about high tea. I'm not a bar goer, so this type of event attracted me to give The Fat Pigeon a try. The theme for this quarter is The Wizard of Oz and so that added to the fun ambiance. The pastries are provided by Primrose Bakery in Pleasanton. Everything was extremely delicious. Standouts for me were the lemon tart, biscotti, and scone. Surprise treats kept coming and we were very satiated by the end of our tea time. The best part of the experience was the service by the owner. He was extremely attentive and was truly invested in us having a positive experience and that sort of service made everything better. We came on a Friday night during their Alice in Wonderland series and it was packed inside. Thankfully we were seated immediately at the bar. However, once we seated, it took a very long time for our order to be taken, and over half an hour for us to receive our drinks. I understand they're busy with a full bar, but we were sitting in their faces and the bartender that initially took our order kept stepping away to the back, and then came and asked to re-confirm our order 2 more times. The drinks tasted ok, but definitely not worth the wait. Especially because the music inside was so loud, it wasn't the easiest space to chat in. I will say, the DJ's choice in music was great! On the bright side, they only charged us for only one drink instead of 3. However, I think this could've been so avoidable. If it weren't for the service, I would consider coming back. read more
