This is my 3rd time coming here and I have to say each time I have a better and better experience. The staff is amazing very attentive. The orders are always right. The food is cooked to perfection. The presentation is outstanding. They have a wide variety of different plates so no matter what somebody in your group wants there will be something for them. Their signature drinks are to die for this time I had a peachy king and lemon drop. I wanted to order the hoppy hour but it was so popular that they were sold out. I've come during the week and on the weekend. It doesn't matter which time I've come it's been GREAT! They had gone to their original location in Livermore in the past and were surprised to have found it moved. We had very friendly service and excellent cocktails. If you want to get a Boilermaker, they can get it for you (off of HH) - friend asked what types of whiskey they had and our server pulled out a whole BOOK! Cocktails were all tasty and quite complex. We all really enjoyed them: Brat summer, Frose (they only had one slushie ready - and it was boozy!), Peach Don't Kill My Vibe, and She's Gone Green. I had the Frost Bite cocktail for $18 the beverage consisted of tequila, sage, pineapple, lime, cranberry syrup, and spiced cranberry bitters. It was delicious. My friend had the frozen cocktail; the Coco Ho HoHo that's $18 and the ingredients are gold Jamaican rum, lime, coconut, pineapple, pandan syrup, and banana liqueur. My friend said it was the best. Located in downtown Pleasanton, Beer Baron is ready for this fall season! I came in late October and the whole bar and restaurant was decked out in Halloween decor - so festive and fun! You can make a reservation in advance if you'd like. On a Saturday at 11:30 am we were able to get seated right away with plenty of tables open. They also have outdoor dining. They have fun seasonal cocktails that are worth a try! On the weekends they serve brunch. I ordered the cinnamon French toast with hash browns (you can also sub for country potatoes or side salad) and eggs however way you like them. I didn't know, but they also come with bacon - pleasant surprise! The portion is hefty and I was surprised to see so many parts. The French toast has a beautiful cinnamon crust and is fluffy on the inside. Drizzled with some chocolate syrup and served with blueberries and strawberries, it was a delightful sweet treat without being overly sweet. The hashbrowns came out in like a triangular form. I wasn't expecting these kinds of hashbrowns but they did not disappoint - they were like tater tots and were crispy on the outside. Eggs were perfectly over easy and the bacon was crispy. The only note I would make was that food service was on the slower side. Service was attentive and our water was filled multiple times. Food and drinks felt like it took quite a while. Here's why: what their website doesn't tell you is that while they offer their brunch menu on Sundays until 2pm (!!!) its the only menu they offer, they don't run their lunch menu in conjuction. We got here after 12:30 so assumed we could get lunch, we didn't want brunch. The chef was kind enough to allow orders off the regular menu, and thank goodness because the food was good. Sadly it all came out at different times to our party of 4, 2 of our table were halfway done eating before the other 2 entrees came. The garlic cheese curds are a must. Small plate so get more than 1 if you have a few people together. The chicken wings are sauced but don't come out sloppy on sauce, its almost dry which is interesting. The French dip was phenomenal but was missing the horseradish sauce or just didnt have a kick, the au jus was a lifesaver. The chipotle chicken sandwich also didnt have a big chipotle flavor. There was no comment on the chilaquilles order so not sure if good or bad. The place was all decked out for Christmas. Ornaments hanging from the ceiling covering almost every inch. I chose the smokey ketchup and the server recommended the chipotle bbq. He also included their house ranch. All the sauces were good! The ciabatta bread was toasted and had that nice crunch. She was not helpful at all and ignored requests. Jassiel also was very short with her answers to questions. The food was good but soured by the unpleasant waitress. This is one of my favorite places in Pleasanton to grab a beer or an old fashioned! You're able to taste their tap beers before committing to a glass. It's my fourth time here, and the first time I've had to order five separate whisky orders because the first four times, they were out of the whiskey I wanted. Now I'm not a connoisseur or whiskey snob, I'll try anything but when you go to a whiskey house and ask the waiter for his recommendations, they should make sure they have them available first. Also I did find out unusual that I would have to pay an extra fee for a whiskey cube. Given the price of an ounce of whiskey, do you really need to charge for a cube? I suppose a clean glass would be the next up-charge. I also sat for 20 minutes waiting for anyone to come up to take a drink or food order. I came on a weekend so they serve a brunch menu before 3 then the regular menu is available. I wanted to try an item from the regular menu but it was in 2 hours so I just tried a drink and dessert from the brunch menu. The drink was ok. When I first walked in I wasn't greeted nor was there a sign that said to wait to be seated so I headed towards the back to use the bathroom. Then the host, I guess was sitting at the bar folding things asked for 1 and I said yes, just let me use the restroom first. I came out and asked to sit outside since inside was so dark I felt like the outdoors seemed a much better spot. I had to ask for utensils then a box and the check when it would seem like I shouldn't need to ask but should since the service goes off what you want rather than serving you with common sense. All in all they did hav a few customers coming but end up waiting a bit because everyone wanted what was on the regular menu than what was on the brunch.
