Strawberry margarita
Eddi-ray C.

Always like dust bowl brews! They typically serve very strong ipas such as the confused therapist which is a fan favorite over here. First time at the Livermore location and I was not dissapointed. Brews are good, fries were delicious and everything came out pretty quick considering how busy they were. Certainly a nice spot to catch the games or just drink a few good brews with buddies.

Stopped in after shopping. I don't drink beer but I decided to try their cider and it was really good! And of course I ordered the sidewinder fries with garlic, HELLA good! It's a pretty cool spot. There were a lot of families with little ones enjoying the sunshine and the space. Seems to be very family friendly!

We did our welcome party (50+ guests) the night before our wedding here and everything was perfect. Location was convenient to most of the hotels and since it was in a plaza parking was so easy to find! We got 5 of the large picnic tables on the covered patio and it was great! They have fans and also will turn the heater on at night. We chose to do an array of sliders with a bunch of apps and the guests all loved it. Also the beer, I was not expecting people to drink as much as they did but everyone had an amazing time. We had designated servers for our tables who did incredible with our large guest count! From the start, my husband reached out to the brewery and they responded immediately with our options. I loved that they made it easy to just pick a location based on our guest count and then from a preselected menu. If you're looking for a place to throw an event or welcome party like we did, I would definitely say check out Dust Bowl.

Really great place for larger groups to grab some food and drinks. Service was great - the drink servers were fairly attentive! We purchased the: - Brisket burger (5/5): Meat was tender and all the fixing in the burger worked well together! - Side of mac and cheese (3/5): There isn't much flavor. Great for kids or anyone who need something more bland - Beer chili nachos (4/5): Flavor was pretty good but didn't like how the chili was underneath all the chips. Would recommend dousing the chips from the top or having the chili on the side so people can dip or pour it onto their chips. Docked off 1 star because the food was in a food truck and all served in togo containers. It makes it hard to share food! Overall - would still recommend this place.

I've been here 3 times mainly because I need to charge my Tesla, and the casual atmosphere keeps bringing me back. The salad taco bowl from the food truck is definitely the highlight for me -- solid 4 stars. The overall vibe is relaxed, and the other customers have always been friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service at the tap bar has consistently been disappointing -- about 2 stars. No smile, no greeting, and very little interaction beyond just pouring the beer. Honestly, the customers create a better experience than the staff do, so there's really no point in sitting at the bar expecting hospitality. One thing I do appreciate is that the beers are labeled with their IBU numbers. That makes it easy to pick something I like without needing to ask the staff for recommendations.

Baltic porter

First time drinking here. I've passed another branch in Monterey since their stout selection was limited. The Livermore Dust Bowl had three stouts/porters on tap. I went with the Baltic porter which was really good. The coconut porter was also great...I would drink the coconut next time!

Carne asada fried (special request string fries)
Brenda R.

I was specifically craving Brussels sprouts, and they completely lived up to the expectations--crispy, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for, and some string fries. We stopped in after the Niners playoff game, so the crowd was slower. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked in. We sat at the bar; the server was friendly and very attentive. I'm not a huge beer fan, so I normally get a sour or a cider. Unfortunately, they only had one sour, which for me wasn't sour enough. They did have a margarita seltzer on tap that ended up being really good. The food was great. They were nice and allowed me to change the fry type when ordering the carne asada fries. Food arrived quickly. The restaurant had fire pits and looked like an awesome place to hang out during the summer.

Food: Carne Asada Fries & Drunken Noodles
Kayla C.

We had such a great time at this brewery! We specifically picked this brewery since they are dog friendly (outdoor only though). We ordered the drunken noodles and the carne asada fries from the food truck and both were absolutely delicious. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was for brewery food truck fare, we'd highly rate both dishes. For beers, we tried Peach Love & Haze (great if you enjoy fruity IPAs), Complaints Department, and Mega Juicy BOTM. Every beer we had was delicious, and we were especially impressed that they offer multiple IPAs with 12%+ ABV. Be careful there were some strong ones! The outdoor space was comfortable with both fans and heaters depending on the weather. Outside they also have two cornhole games, plenty of outdoor seating, and two large TVs (they were showing FIFA World Cup while we were there). The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and overall we had a fantastic time. Great beer, great food, and a great atmosphere, we'll definitely be back!

We came here after doing some shopping at the outlets and we absolutely loved it. The waiters were helpful and very welcoming. Drinks were 10/10 as well as the food. We will definitely come back.

08222025 -- carne asada fries + brussel sprouts
Cath M.

08222025 BFF and I met up here for a much needed one on one... it so happened to be that it was one of those hot days (sticky hot!) we walked in and got a table (it was a Friday so it wasn't quite packed yet). Staff were friendly and explained how everything worked re their tasting. I got the beer sampler... Fruit Tramp Berry Sour = this was really bad... definitely took me by surprised b/c of how sour it was... if that's your thing then this is yours but definitely not like the fruity beer I've had at Almanac. Huckleberry Kettle Sour = another no on this - I barely touched this as well as the Berry version. It wasn't drinkable at all and I told the BFF I felt bad but she said if it's not good, don't make myself sick by drinking it. Fair point! Strawberry Margarita (hard seltzer) = Also didn't finish this. I wanted to try hard setlzer but I guess this was a bad choice as a starter. My favorite would have to be their watermelon beer... which doesn't taste as good as the 21st Amendment version but it was the best out of the 4 samplers. Food wise - I had the cheese flatbread (it wasn't good as well... I barely touched it, it was so bland and lacked any taste.) The only saving grace was the brussel sprouts... which was the only food we ate b/c it tasted normal and decent. BFF had the carne asada fries and she balked at it as well b/c it was filled with so much sauce and she said it was overwhelming. She didn't mention much about her drink... I think at that point she was over with everything lol. I probably wouldn't opt to eat food here again but just grab a regular sounding beer next time around... At least we tried it and I still like Almanac in Alameda, food and beverages.

Great selection of beer, and especially love their Peach Love Haze (Hazy IPA) and often buy the cans to go. This is the only place I've seen a quadruple IPA also, which is amazing. The food truck was broken when my group came (bummer) but they do allow outside food, and there are many options in this plaza. Plenty of outside seating for large groups. The service is a bit slow, and when I walked in to use the bathroom I saw 3 staff members yapping in a circle so that explains why. But super kind and understanding when my group was indecisive about our orders.

Gold 1 (blonde), Zeus Tyrant (IPA), and Peach, Love, & Haze (citrus IPA)

Ask the Community - Dust Bowl

Is this place a family friendly establishment ? I have a grade schooler and a teenager

Yes, very much so! We have corn hole boards to help pass the time and families are welcome. We only ask for kids to be supervised. Cheers!

Do you book private events?

Yes, you can find lots of private event details on our website, www.dustbowlbrewing.com.

Do you serve any non-alcoholic drinks by chance?

Hi! We don’t have any N.A. beer, but we offer Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, iced tea, and working on lemonade and Perrier.

Where does dust bowl originate from? I thought it was based out in Monterey, but now I see this. BTW, I love drinking Taco Truck

Turlock

Do you have a wine license yet?

No, we can’t actually hold a wine license. You have to have a full-service kitchen to add wine to the license, and the footprint is too small. We do have seltzers, and the margarita seltzers are super popular! Taste more like a cocktail.…

Do they serve wine?

No, our license does not allow us to serve wine at that location, but we do offer some tasty seltzer options.

They have a pretty good amount of seating with big screens to watch games. I don't do beers or ales, but they have a full wall of variety to choose from. First off, this is NOT on the staff working. We genuinely felt bad for them. Management thought it was a good idea to schedule ONE bartender and ONE server on a packed Saturday night. The entire place was chaotic, customers were visibly irritated, TVs throughout the restaurant stopped working, and the poor employees were drowning trying to keep up. The stress was palpable that made the experience stressful and not enjoyable. Absolute management failure. At one point I used their self-pour beer wall and poured myself half a Modelo only for it to come out warm I was able to find another beer that was actually cold... but still charged for the warm one. The food was somehow even worse. We ordered the barbacoa nachos, wedge salad, and a kids burger with fries. The kids burger was the only edible thing. The wedge salad was drowning in ranch like someone emptied the whole bottle on it. Tomatoes tasted old and gross. Then came the nachos... tiny portion, bland chips, barely any cheese, no mango salsa like the menu claimed, and the "barbacoa" -- if you could even call it that -- was tough, fatty, and completely inedible. $74 later for one appetizer, one salad, one kids meal, and 1 1/2 beers. We only tipped because we felt bad for the server. We will NEVER be back. Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day dinner.

Today I came on a Sunday and they actually have a Sunday brunch where they have a live DJ they play music. They have shots going around it's fun and if you're going out with the family like I did today, you can sit in the upper area that's away from everyone else having the brunch fun. It was still fine even though we brought the kids and sat in the upper area. We could still hear the music and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this place. It's a shame that I live so far away in Tracy that I only get to come once in a while because if I lived closer, I would come every weekend.!!! The desserts are so good!!!

Whereas, food items and cocktail drinks are ordered at the back left corner. We ordered the "Such a Gemini" and "Paper cut". Both were more on the sweeter side and you couldn't taste the alcohol at all. Quite dangerous really. The "Such a Gemini" was a hibiscus agave drink. The "Paper cut" was more of a fruity mix with the elderflower and lemon mixed in the whiskey, which I was a HUGE fan of. Gorgeous presentation as well! As for the food, we got the Sessions burger (cheeseburger) and cod tacos both with truffle fries. And maaan. Cod tacos were cooked well and super fresh. Big fan of that red salsa on the side. The Sessions burger was juicy and not dry, but I really enjoyed how it served on a pillowy pretzel bun! Would love to bring my family and friends here! I'd recommend this place if you need a space to hangout at.
