Food was ok but priced more expensive than other restaurants which would have better tasting food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is nice and good atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was good but for big groups I think they could do better. Maybe cause they already know how much tip is included not sure??? The plating was nice though.

Came here on a Wednesday evening with a friend as she had been here before. We came around 5:10pm and got seated right away. Staff and Service: - Our waiter was very nice and answered our questions about the menu well. His recommendations were on point Food and Drinks: - Happy hour is until 5:00pm (we just missed it!) - Hummus sampler: four different flavors of hummus (a dream for hummus lovers).y two favorites were the pesto one and another one that had a nice kick to it - The drinks were tasty and refreshing (especially since we came on a very warm day) - Koobideh: flavorful and comes with a lot. I ordered mine with the white basmati rice and the garlic sauce (yum!) - Garlic filet: super flavorful and delicious if you love garlic. Ordered this with the cucumber sauce, which was a nice balance - They have many dessert options, but we were so full by the end Miscellaneous: - Plenty of street parking nearby - There is a parking lot next door, but I think it's for another restaurant - Good for all group sizes - In between casual and a bit nicer than casual - Outdoor seating and indoor seating available

4 stars rounded up. Not sure I'll be back. Stopped here on a Sunday night for a light dinner / snack after a day of wine tasting and a quick walk of the outlet stores. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looked decently full on a Sunday night for an ~ 6pm seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive. As for the food... it's a mixed bag. We ordered the lollipop lamb appetizers. (3 lollipops in an order, served with 3 pieces of asparagus and a fruit forward red sauce.). This was pretty solid. And we considered another order of the lollipops. We also ordered a Greek salad ($17) and for an extra $10, gyro meat added as the protein. The salad composed of a very heavy portion of red onion, and also had red peppers, cucumber, tomatoes and a handful of olives. The gyro meat was not like the shavings you might get off a giant spit of meat. It was literally two small preformed patties. We asked the waiter to see if this was the right amount of protein. The waiter went back to the kitchen and checked with the chef. Apparently it was correct. Very disappointed in the salad value and lack of more cucumber and tomatoes. Bread and butter, extra $2. Wasn't advised of the price ahead of time, but maybe it's in the menu somewhere or the waitstaff could have mentioned it's a small price and likely would have ordered it anyways. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, I expected a little bit more from the meal. Adequate with nice ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Rounded up, it's 4 stars from me.

Went on a weekday for lunch. Parking can be a little painful to find Got a table right away [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is cute and classy and the place was very vacant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got a pumpkin appetizer as per the server's suggestion- the yogurt sauce was good but wasn't a huge fan of the pumpkin itself Also got the chicken grilled kabob with a side of seasoned rice. Pretty tasty Others on the table got a veggie pasta and a steak kabob. They enjoyed their food too The service was pretty slow in spite of no rush

Hosted a team dinner of 6 at Oasis which is in downtown Pleasanton and serves a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine, and the overall experience was excellent. We had reservations and were seated right on time, with water glasses quickly provided and questions about the menu answered by our server. It wasn't really busy on a weekday evening, and the servers worked efficiently together throughout our meal. We dove into their Mezze sampler platter which included plump dolmas, sautéed large shrimp with a basil-infused sauce, pumpkin borani (which was one of our favorite items), and an eggplant borani. We also tried their Tour of Mediterranean (classic hummus, creamy cucumber salata, spicy spinach cheese dip) with warm bread, and thought that the hummus and cucumber salata were our favorites. The mantoo dumplings were also outstanding and substantive. For entrees, the koobideh kabob platters included two decent sized kabobs there were flavorful but a little on the tougher side. We tried their cumin-spiced and white rice options as well as the grilled asparagus -- we enjoyed the asparagus and white rice more than the cumin rice which had more of a single flavor note. The shrimp kabob featured large grilled shrimp that were tender and well-prepared. The garlic-butter filet kabob was overcooked but they sent out replacement ones that were on point temperature- and flavor-wise. They have a pretty large wine, cocktail and beer list, and prices are what you would expect. We tried a Livermore merlot that matched up well with our dishes. Would definitely consider them again for group events in addition to going to enjoy a meal.

    Mediterranean Pasta

This was the first time I've been to this restaurant. The ambiance was nice. We sat inside, but there is outdoor seating. I was told by others at my lunch table that they normally serve complimentary bread. However, they didn't offer bread to us although it looked like some of the other tables did have bread. I didn't find our waiter to be attentive. The waiters seemed to be around the corner talking to each other rather than checking in on their tables. Our table was tucked in a corner so we could not wave a waiter down unless they came into view. I chose the Mediterranean Pasta, which is a leek and cilantro tortellini in a basil pesto sauce with pine nuts and parmesan cheese. I added chicken for $2.00 more. The pasta was delicious, but the chicken was dry. I would order this dish again without the chicken. I just happened to stumble onto their parking lot when I turned the corner to find street parking. It was a pleasant surprise and is an added plus for the restaurant.

Walking into Oasis was other-worldly with warm wood paneling and similarly and cozy decor throughout the dining room which was interspersed with cool semi-private dining niches. The back patio was busy but made intimate by dazzling fairy lights. Our party of 4 opted for one of only 3 tables at the front patio with a romantic view of Main Street, closed to traffic for the pedestrianized Saturday night. We sampled a wonderful variety from their extensive menu: Lychee Martini - perfect not too sweet Coconut Margarita - a nice combination of refreshing flavors, including a coconut rim Falafel Crisps - so delightfully packed with flavor, delicate on the inside and crispy on the outside! Lamb Lollipops - always a fantastic favorite and great quality Pumpkin Borani - generously portioned and wrapped in fresh bread Garlic Butter Fillet Kebab - exceptional, mouthwateringly tender and flavorful Royal Platter with grilled chicken, shrimp, beef filet and koobideh kebabs - the standout, shared by 2 of us, each Kebab was cooked to perfection! Grilled Chicken Kebab - we were delighted that the chicken was so tender it was difficult to believe it was chicken breast! The service was spot on - attentive, welcoming and professional throughout our very enjoyable evening. Kudos to the chef and the staff for a memorable experience!

We arrived early for our reservation for six and they seated us early. We appreciated it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is decorated nicely, but the bathroom need to be remodeled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was pretty good. The general consensus among my family members was that the food was really good.

Koobideh Kabob, Mantoo Dumplings, Mini Gyros, Potato Bolani - though not authentic Iranian/Afghan food, still very delicious!
    Sabrina M.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times since it first opened over a decade ago, and I always forget that though the food is delicious, it is NOT authentic - i.e. the bolani is delicious, but it is way thicker than you'd find at an authentic Afghan restaurant, and the cilantro sauce they serve it with is also nothing like a chatney you'd receive with bolani at an Afghan establishment. Again, I want to emphasize that the dish is still super delicious!! I definitely recommend it ordering it! Just set your expectations accordingly that it will be different from the Afghan dishes you know/are used to :) The restaurant itself is beautiful with great ambience. The team at Oasis is always super friendly and accommodating, and they always provide a wonderful experience, whether we're a group of two or twenty. Oasis is probably my favorite restaurant in Downtown Pleasanton - though pricey, it's in line with the other restaurants along Main Street, the food is tasty, the staff is super nice, and the restaurant is really nice. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I love doing downtown stroll dates which includes doing a drink each and a shared appetizer. We had never been to Oasis so we wanted to check out. Unfortunately the inside was closed due to a private party but the patio was open. The patio actually ended up being a great ambiance and felt very intimate. I ordered the spicy mango tango which was delicious and my boyfriend got the Turkish mint tea which he enjoyed. We shared the spicy beef cigars which were like a beef egg roll with tzatziki sauce, highly recommend. I would definitely come back and have a full dinner meal here.

Saffron ice cream; very well balanced sweet/honey flavor. Best Chinese comment. Not too sweet.
    Adam W.

Food was fresh and they were able to serve a party of 15 without and issues. Waitress was very pleasant and actually has tried the food with good recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and quiet atmosphere with ability to host a party if necessary.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Virgin Mojito

[[HIGHLIGHT]]With their mood lighting and restrained decor, Oasis is probably a good place for a romantic dinner, at least if you sit inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We skipped the rose garden patio on this visit, which was full of families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is good, from greeting you at the door, to table service. All of our dishes, once ordered, came quickly. I was a fan of my virgin mojito. The mocktail trend has made teetotaler me very happy. The bread and dips were just OK. Ideally liked the dips, particularly the garlic yogurt, but the pita was baked or toasted in a way that made it chewy. I wasn't a fan. The eggplant borani was delicious. I wish it had a crunchy element though. because it was pillowy soft. The spicy beef cigar rolls were delightfully crispy, and the tzatziki was perfect. Save room for dessert. The baklava is reliably good, and the toffee nut cake is delicious.

Oasis is located on the corner of Main and Ray Street in downtown Pleasanton. I meet a friend for their happy hour, that's from 2-5 daily. They have a small menu and prices are $7 & $10 for appetizers, cocktails $8 & beer is $6. The passionate Moscow mule wasn't that good but the sangria was delicious. We had the mini beef gyros that were scrumptious and the naan bread and dipping sauces. The bread was hard and tasteless and it didn't taste like typical naan bread. The dipping sauces were spicy and flavorful and it made up for the poor taste in the bread. Our server was kind and attentive, the establishment wasn't crowded. A quiet Monday afternoon (it was President's Day). There was a large party seated around the corner from us, and the space was private and away from other patrons. An excellent place to go for happy hour during the week.

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy.
