Lovely evening sharing our favorite dishes at this restaurant in downtown Livermore. The food is comparable to other Locanda restaurants in Pleasanton, Danville, etc, however, I enjoyed the vibe better at this location with its outdoor seating and friendly staff! I did not care for the pane e olive tapenade. The Nutella espresso was also super sweet.

Locanda Wine Bar in Livermore was such a great Valentine's Day lunch spot! We chose to be seated at the bar since it wasn't crowded just yet, which made for a relaxed and cozy start to our afternoon. The restaurant felt very welcoming, and our servers were attentive and great throughout our visit. The ambiance was fun and lively--many of the staff spoke Italian, which added such a charming and authentic touch. They were engaging and casually conversating on and off, making the experience feel warm and personal. The food was good, but honestly... we came for the Basiltini and espresso martini hehe--and they did not disappoint! There are also several Locanda locations, so be sure to check their website to see all of their restaurant listings. Overall, such a fun and welcoming spot with great vibes and delicious drinks--perfect for a cute lunch date! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area! :)

A no go on my list from now on. The food was genuinely great and honestly the only redeeming part of the experience but everything else was incredibly disappointing. It took 15 minutes just for someone to take our order and another 25 minutes just to get our drinks. When we asked about the delay, the server wasn't apologetic and instead blamed our choice of drinks and said the bar was taking a long time. The food also took far too long to arrive, making the entire evening feel dragged out and frustrating. What made it worse was watching the next table get their food and drinks much faster, which made us feel uncomfortable and honestly wonder if we were being treated differently. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the overall experience felt neglectful and poorly handled. Great food alone isn't enough to make up for service that makes guests feel unwelcome.

Came to Locanda for the first time this week after seeing good reviews about the pasta but unfortunately we were not very impressed. We ordered the penne alla vodka and the gnocchi - it felt like both were lacking in flavor, and missing salt and spice. We did ask for red pepper flakes and they also gave us a chili paste so that added some more flavor. However the gnocchi felt strangely undercooked as it would feel sticky when eating. This was quite uncomfortable so we didn't finish it. I will say the service was great and all the staff were very nice and friendly, and the ambiance is nice. There is an outdoor patio which is very cutely decorated with swings, and an inside area behind that. Nice to try out, probably won't be back.

I wish I could come on here and say wonderful things but this restaurant did not hit the mark with me. Waited almost 1 hour was not approach not once we had to actually flag down help. 1 hour not given water or asked for drink order ... nothing. Drinks were not the best. My pasta was slightly cold and just not good. I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunate.

I meet my parents here for an early dinner today . I was trying to find a place and I found this one on Yelp . It looked delicious I had to give it a try . Walking up they have a great outside area as soon as you come in there is a huge patio very nicely decorated . The inside was very cute with a huge bar in the middle . They do have TV's around the restaurant . The restroom was clean and had a changing table . We ended up sitting outside it was a very nice day we had to enjoy the outside time . The staff were all so nice from the moment we walked in till the moment we walked out . We got greeted both times . Our waiter was so amazing on my bill it says her name is Raffaella M she was so nice and attentive she also spoke Spanish which was a big help with my parents since it's their first language. For our food I got the Gnocchi Mamma Carmela with pesto sauce it was delicious. My parents got Penne Vodka and Lasagna they both enjoyed their dishes . For drinks we got an Espresso Martini and the Basiltini . For dessert I got a cheesecake my mom got a latte and my dad got ice cream. Everything was super delicious. We had an amazing time the ambience was excellent. The food was great . The service was 10/10 I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.

This place was too cute. Loved the decor inside and outside. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The braised beef on the polenta was insanely good. Don't get me started on those martinis. They were beautiful and tasted so good. The crusted pistachio on the rim was to die for. I definitely recommend this place for some good food and drinks in Livermore.

I stopped by Locanda Wine Bar for drinks and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The space has a cozy, stylish feel with a lively bar area, making it a nice spot to grab a drink and relax. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of cocktails. Both drinks were well made and nicely presented. The espresso martini was smooth and strong, I loved the Nutella rim, and the other cocktail was refreshing and balanced. I should mention that this time I only tried the drinks, but I definitely want to come back to try the food. I've been to other Locanda locations before and the food, service, and overall ambiance are always 10/10, so I'm curious to see how this location compares.

    Eggplant goulash style.

Host was amazing. Waiter was ok. Disappointed there was no house bread on the table. Restaurants of this caliber usually serves a form of bread. However, there is a bread plate lol Ordered the eggplant however it was burnt. It had a horrible taste, and it was more like a goulash. I do not suggest their eggplant try something else go through the pictures on yelp order that way. They're seating is adorable. I love the set up nice wicker chairs swings and grass. I think this might be more of a place to have bread and wine maybe (dinners not here.)

Cute, Fun && Lively outdoor dining + great spot for a casual lunch on a sunny day. Came here on two different occasions - one with some gfs for an early dinner after wine tasting, and another time on a double date Sunday lunch as well. Both experiences, we had great service and food overall - but the day/time def. makes a difference for the vibe you want here. On a Saturday evening, the vibe was chill but lively with people laughing, eating, & drinking (aka normal outdoor restaurant vibes). BUT on a Sunday LUNCH it was a freakn party...there was a live DJ & water misters (which was nice since it was so hot) - legit almost felt like a Vegas day club without the pool (lol), a very fun vibe but just much more loud so be prepared. Regardless of the VIBE - food surprisingly was good both times, a few dishes fell a bit short, but most were tasty and will have me coming back for more! Food Talk: (1) Fritto Misto App - this was tasty, great variety of seafood (shrimp/calamari) and veggies (artichokes/zucchini) + perfectly salted & comes with 2 dipping sauces. (2) Locanda Salad - refreshing and yummy, butter lettuce was very fresh + loved the radish slices & artichokes, while dressing was a nice and light vinaigrette. (3) Margherita Pizza - this was OK, def. needed more seasoning, but did love all the arugula and cheese on top. Although, wasn't really hot when it came out and crust was not as crunchy. (4) Meat Lover's Pizza - this was tasty, great variety of meat that added the right amount of saltiness/flavor + loved that it came out piping out & had a great crunchy crust. (5) Gemelli Sausage Pasta - fair, the pasta was cooked perfectly but sauce was OK lacked a bit of flavor/bite to it & didn't really care for the microgreens. (6) Tornelli Braised Beef Pasta - this was sooooooooo good, sauce was rich & creamy while the beef stuffing was very flavorful. (7) Veal Lasagna - this was OK, the veal was tasty although not as tender, while the sauce was just a tad bit too tart/sour

Happy hours calamari with zucchini and artichokes, yummy

Happy hour is great and any other time there. The food is delicious. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, great customer service. It's a good vibe all around.

Ahhhmazing outdoor seating makes you relax even more. I love that they offer pitcher size on their cocktails which is good for groups. Staff is very friendly and attentive and food we got were delectable.

Literally what great service everytime! I love the slushy drink as well as the fettuccine special! We also had the calamari and that orange dipping sause was soo yummy! My husband had the meat lovers pizza and it was such fresh ingredients! We will be back!

The interior was a nice set up. Not too loud but a little low on the lighting. We kicked things off with the hush puppies. They were crispy, hot, and really good... then the cinnamon butter entered the chat. I appreciate the creativity, but my brain couldn't decide if I was eating an appetizer or breakfast toast. Good hush puppies though. The crispy Brussels sprouts were fantastic. I've had a similar version with lemon at Station 16, so I found myself wanting to grab a lemon wedge out of habit. That said, they were still delicious and disappeared quickly. My cousin ordered the Salisbury steak and absolutely loved it. It was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. My other cousin had the New York steak and said they nailed the temperature and seasoning. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken, and the flavors were outstanding. My only tiny complaint is the sauce. It was so generous that my mashed potatoes eventually surrendered and became mashed potato soup. I'd still order it again because the flavor was worth it but maybe ask for the sauce on the side. My son had the Southwest Salad and cleaned the bowl, which is about as close to a Michelin star as a parent can give. The service was friendly, the food came out looking as good as it tasted, and everyone at the table genuinely enjoyed their meal. Finding a restaurant where nobody is eyeing someone else's plate with regret is harder than it should be, but The Bourbon Pear pulled it off. We'll definitely be making the drive back to Livermore.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

Unfortunately, the food experience didn't live up to the service. Charging extra for chips and salsa at what is essentially a Mexican restaurant (even if it's branded as "Southwestern") was disappointing, especially when the salsa portion was so small. Chips and salsa are such a staple that it felt out of place to pay extra for them. The biggest issue, though, was the tortillas. They weren't heated, which made them feel dry and mealy and they fell apart while eating the tacos. The steak itself was flavorful, but the tortillas made it difficult to enjoy what could have been a really good dish. I genuinely hope they make a few adjustments because the people there were fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and this place has a lot of potential.

Looks like it took over the old Harry's Hofbrau space except they turned that massive space into 2 units now, as the days of massive dining halls are starting to become a rarity. Order at a counter and food gets brought to your table. There's a full bar (which I thought was strange for this type of food) but this is also Livermore where it still tends to have a stronger drinking culture than most other suburban towns. Most of the seating is in their 'outdoor' patio which is pretty well enclosed with one of those catering tents. Babaghanoush ($8/2.5*) Looked great with warm pita and an olive oil drizzle on top. Texture was spot on creamy and soft but they overloaded this usually delicate dip/mezze with enough raw garlic to kill a horse. Now I usually love garlic but this was to the point where you couldn't taste anything else so main ingredient which is roasted eggplant, you couldn't even tell what it was. And your mouth was tingling with that harsh garlic taste for minutes after chewing it down. Instead of wasting it, I packed it home and used it like Toum to spread onto other things. I've actually had Toums less potent than this. Adana Kabob ($19/4.5*) This a ground lamb kabob Turkish style. Similar to a Lule, Koobideh, Shami kabobs from other cultures. Turkish has pretty bold spicing but not as strong as Afghan or Pakistani. And definitely more assertive than Persian or Armenian. So kind of in the middle of the spectrum. I loved the texture and the flavor, just maybe a tad ambitious on the charring. Now that char did add an awesome grill flavor but a couple degrees more than burnt qualities may then be perceived. Combo Beef/Lamb Kabob $20/4*) For combos you can actually pick from several kabobs. They use smaller chunks like half inch cubes small. It is very natural tasting, no heavy marinades or spicing. Tasted like just salt to me so you can really taste the protein. But very well done but not really dry. I just prefer larger chunks like at least 1 inch cubes, so the meat stays juicy and succulent. Afghan and Persian kabobs usually have bigger pieces on those skewers. And these plates have a side of salted plain rice (not basmati) a green salad, some pita and a nice dollop of hummus which was top notch. Decent food, efficient service is going to make them a solid option for me in this town. Iskender, lamb shanks still in the zone for me to try.

It was very busy, and we had to wait approximately 20 minutes to get a table. Once seated, it took our server another 10 minutes just to come over and take our order. They were clearly low on staff, but to their credit, the staff members were definitely friendly despite the rush. The food quality varied quite a bit across our table: The highlight of the meal was the Blackened Atlantic Wild Salmon, which my wife ordered. It was served over Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and roasted seasonal organic vegetables, all topped with a lemon, butter, caper, and white wine sauce. This dish was an absolute 5/5--perfectly executed. I ordered the 14 oz New York Steak with scalloped potatoes and charred organic seasonal vegetables, topped with cowboy butter. I asked for it medium-well and really enjoyed the steak, giving it a solid 4/5. My friend ordered Mama's Crispy Tacos (two chicken and one potato), which came with cotija, lettuce, avocado, crema, and pico de gallo, served alongside a spicy green salsa and pinto bean smash. They rated this a good 4/5. On the flip side, my friend also tried the Grilled Baja Prawn Tacos. Served on flour tortillas over a bed of mixed greens with pineapple salsa and chipotle sauce, this dish really lacked flavor and was a disappointing 2/5. We also started with the Seasonal Mixed Greens salad, which came with green apple slices, candied pecans, seasonal berries, and a white balsamic vinaigrette on the side. This was just okay, landing at a 3/5. Overall, Maple Street Eatery is a decent place for brunch or lunch. If the service becomes more efficient and a few of the food items are improved to match the quality of the salmon and steak, we would definitely make this a regular spot to visit.
