    Burrata

We spent a lovely time here for an unhurried Friday lunch. This place has a wonderful vibe! Luckily, the weather was good, so we sat on the outdoor patio. The service is friendly, and the staff were very kind with their recommendations. I had the Argentinian Soda, and my husband had an Aperol Spritz... as good as it gets! For starters, we ordered the Burrata, which was delicious. For our mains, we had the Chicken Milanesa a Caballo and the Lemon Ricotta Ravioli. The portions were generous and the taste was great; I especially loved the freshness of the ravioli. We also loved the ambiance and their choice of music. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely come again!

Came here for date night and we were seated in the back patio area that was covered. It has a darker ambiance throughout the restaurant. They were not super packed that night but was still lively inside. Service was lame. Didn't get greeted by anyone when we arrived at the front. Our server was cold and honestly, was a big damper to the experience. The food though???? AMAZING. Empanada Trio (dreamy/5) Did not expect to like the cheese one, well... bc I don't care for cheese, so you can understand how good it was then. They all came out crispy, seasoned well, and filling amount was good. Favorite was still the beef, but no complaints honestly about the other two. The sauces that accompanied it were also so delicious. Lomo Saltado (5/5) It was very reminescent of Viet bo luc lac, probably on account of the huge shallots pieces (still crunchy) and the oyster sauce they used. Huge chunks, cooked mostly med rare. Seasoned well. Fries were skinny and crispy kind. Spaghetti Carbonara (4/5) honestly don't remember too much about it, but remembered liking it. It was probably just overshadowed by how good the other items were. We also ordered two cocktails. The penicillin was refreshing.

We went to Brava for dinner and got seated pretty quickly. We walked through the kitchen to their seating area in the back. We ordered quite a few things for a party of 7. We got the lemon & ricotta ravioli (it was good had a nice citrus flavor, spaghetti carbonara alla Argentina, the pork chop, risotto de mar, and the parrillada Argentina bbq. The food was fantastic. My favorites were the risotto de mar and parrillada Argentina bbq. The carbonara was creamy but maybe needed alil but if salt.. Overall really good food!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The entrance walks you through the warm kitchen. Good location, a challenge to park, loud inner patio seating area with those awful metal chairs that hurt the hips. Patio area looks like it would be lovely in the evening when all the lights are on. There is an inner seating area with comfy padded chairs and booths, I suggest requesting that section. Three different employees checked on us which was awesome. The food came out so quickly and all at the same time. We wish it would have been spread out. Crispy cauliflower was cooked well. Perfectly crispy and aldente. Chicken milanesa was delicious with the three sauces, arugula salad, best fries, and for dessert, the flan. All was absolutely delicious.

Cauliflower starter - could be more seasoned, 3/5 Burrata - 5/5, very creamy and comes with a small salad Short rib ragu - delicious. 5/5 Hibiscus van damme - 5/5 cocktail, DELICIOUS and tastes so good Service - 3.5/5 today, was a bit slow and kind of hard to flag someone down for the check. Also felt really hot inside the inside area. Parking can be hit or miss, since it's downtown Pleasanton

I've had Brava on my bookmarked list for a while and made a reservation through Resy to dine in. Food Trio Empanadas - $21.95 The chicken, beef, and cheese empanadas were served with a chimichurri tomato basil sauce. The crust was crunchy and flaky. The cheese empanada filling was made with gorgonzola, mozzarella, and ricotta - the cheese mixture wasn't the best of the trio. Habanero Homemade Fries - $13.95 The fries are vegan and gluten-free and come with feta, parsley, and a creamy habanero dipping sauce. The fries lacked the crispiness I was hoping for. Campanelli Mushroom - $26.95 The dish came with homemade campanelle, a creamy wild mushroom sauce, and parmesan. The sauce was rich and smooth, and the campanelle was al dente with a delicious filling. Spaghetti Carbonara - $36.95 The dish was made with homemade spaghetti, California bacon, crema, and parmesan. The creamy white sauce was rich and the bacon added a nice hint of saltiness that brought the flavor profiles together. The portions are shareable, but a bit on the smaller side. It's a cute place to visit and enjoy the experience. Customer Service Victor was our server who provided great service. He was attentive throughout the dining experience and ensured my party had everything we needed. Ambiance The space has a unique hybrid of rustic, desert, and vintage decor. It's a very casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The other patrons there ranged from families grabbing lunch to group celebrations for Christmas white elephant exchanges. The seating options available are tables, booths, and a cute outdoor patio. Unfortunately, due to the rain, I dined indoors, but other reviewers raved about the patio's cute aesthetics especially in the evening. Parking / Location There's complimentary 3-hours parking on Main St. and I was lucky to find a spot right in front of Brava. It's located along the main road and if street parking is full or limited, there are nearby lots to choose from.

Beets and Goat Cheese organic salad

I made reservations through Resy. We ordered Parrillada Argentina BBQ from Mains and beets and Goat Cheese from Organic Salads. The BBQ meat was delicious and so was the salad. Service was very timely. We were seated in the open air part of the garden and it was nice and quaint. Given that was almost a month ago and I still remember the positive experience well, it is a place to return to.

Very cute spot to haves girls dinner. Staff were super friendly. The menu was very delectable and had a variety that met our group's needs, such as the eggplant lasagna or mushroom pasta for our vegetarian friends. The prices are not bad for the amount you get as well. We loved the watermelon and pear salads. Super refreshing. We would recommend this to anyone who in the area looking for a cozy meal spot!

This restaurant was surprisingly spacious and colorful, even though it didn't appear that way from the outside. They also offer an outdoor dining patio and a back dining area. To try all three of their empanada options, we ordered the empanada trio with fries, and everything was delicious. Our favorite was the beef empanada, so we ended up ordering an additional order, which came with two more. We also really enjoyed our cocktails. I ordered the margarita, and my boyfriend ordered the Penicillin, which was especially delicious and perfect for the season. Though we were in the back dining area alone for a bit, it filled up quick and the service was quick!

    Steak!

We came here for our company holiday dinner, and it was a nice, cozy spot that I would recommend (at least for weekdays). When I got seated, the interior reminded me of a kitchen (I wasn't the only one thought this... I heard another party say it too!): the dining table and chairs looked like it belong in a home kitchen, and they had decorations and shelves on the walls that really resembled that of a home more than a restaurant. On the dining table itself, they placed a cute little lamp. Honestly, such a warm and welcoming space to be in. Since we were with a semi large group of 7, we had the opportunity to share many appetizers: bruschetta, Brussels sprouts, shrimp, barrata.... And possibly one more. Given that this is an Italian restaurant, it was a little on the heavy/creamy/cheesy/buttery side (can be a pro or a con, depending on your personal preference). I thought the bruschetta was the best because it's a very satisfying and thick bite. I ordered the steak for my entree: the steak itself was good, nothing too spectacular or crazy. Medium rare indeed was medium rare... so kudos to that! It laid on top of a bed of spinach/onion/mashed potato(?), which I thought was again, nothing spectacular. Not much flavor with the spinach, so I actually opted out of eating it. Everyone else in my party loved their entrees. I also wanted to give kudos to the waitstaff: all were extremely nice, especially our waitress. She was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. When we were leaving, every single worker said bye to us, which was a pleasant surprise. Pleasanton's downtown area is super cute in the evening, especially around the holiday season. Parking wasn't too bad since it was a Wednesday evening, and I have no idea how hard it would be to find parking on a weekend.

Covered patio and open patio on the back . One large enclosed room that was reserved for a party . Service was excellent. Ambience is so so and they have crowded tables with metal chairs and no privacy. Food was good and well made. The empanadas were good and I liked the crispy skin they used . When we left there was a line to get in so the place is popular.

    Argentina soda and peach drink
    Molly L.

We came here on a weekend evening and ordered an Argentinian soda, a peach old fashion, eggplant lasagna, garlic bread, and risotto and carne. The cherry soda was ok, but not sure I would get it again because it tasted a little like medicine. My partner enjoyed his peach old fashion. The eggplant lasagna was also pretty good, more like layers of thin eggplant with cheese. It was missing a carb so we ordered garlic bread and it was scrumptious (probably the best part of my meal). My partner really liked his risotto and carne. Overall, the food and service are both great. There's both indoor and outdoor covered seating and the ambiance is a nice one for families, which we saw a few of that night.

Came here for dinner with a group of friends and were immediately impressed by the outdoor dining area they had in the back. We were seated immediately without any kind of reservation. The drinks that we got here were super delicious and had their own twist which was nice. I would suggest trying them because they go great with your meal The sides we got were the Brussel sprouts and the truffle fries. These were cooked to perfection, no complaints there Everyone in our group really liked their pasta, I opted in for their seafood pasta which came with scallop, shrimp, and mussels. The serving sizes were just right as it not being too much nor little. Overall, a really great place to grab dinner with some friends and for those pasta lovers out there!

    Classic Margarita, it was perfect!

Because my friend's band (shoutout to Bored of Directors!) was performing and of course that means I'm there to support him. The scene was everything I would normally avoid like the plague (or the "razor throat" strain of Covid-19 as it may be). Nevertheless, this place is cool! Very chill, not pretentious at all. Glad I scoured previous reviews so I knew what to expect: go past the front door and tables, down the alley to enter at the backyard; order drinks at the left side of the bar, food on the right. Picnic type tables scattered about for shared seating. "Stage" area set up in the corner. The beer selection was great, servers were friendly and helpful (and patient with us newbies). We did not have food so I can't comment on that. The band was awesome and played a mix of songs from 1970s thru 2000s. People were dancing, singing along. It was a great night! Not something I would choose to do if Bored of Directors wasn't playing, but when they come back around, I wouldn't hesitate! So go, have fun! There was a birthday celebration happening at a few of the tables in the front yard. Guests looked to be in their 30s to early 40s so I'm guessing that's the regular clientele here. Oh, and we found parking across the street in a center where a lot of businesses are. Some of the spots are reserved for the businesses but there are plenty that aren't. Or you could just risk the wrath of the Pleasanton PD and hope you don't get ticketed or towed. And of course, designate a driver before imbibing!

I loved the jerk pork tacos! The pork was juicy, tender, and aromatic, and the mango-papaya salsa added a refreshing sweetness. I also tried the paella Oyo that my sister ordered which was sooo yummy and full of protein. The small size was more than enough! My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere had a fun lively energy. With indoor and outdoor seating options, anywhere you get seated is a nice spot. Can't wait to visit again to try their dinner menu items and drinks, and hopefully catch some live music!
