Sparking wine
Amneet K.

I absolutely love coming to Rubino Estates Winery. It has such a chill, calm, and welcoming vibe that makes every visit enjoyable. The scenery is beautiful, and both the inside and outside of the winery are stunning, it's the kind of place you can truly relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Nancy is amazing and always so sweet, which makes the experience even better. This has definitely become my go-to spot, and I always look forward to coming back.

Cute winery with some shaded seating which is essential during the Tri valley summers! It was about a 3.5 star experience. The wine tasting here is a flight so all the drinks come out as once. As of summer 2025, the tastings range from $25-35. I wish they had a mixed tasting for whites and reds but unfortunately they didn't when we visited. Rubino comps tastings if you buy 2 bottles, which start at $22. Service was okay but interactions were concise and infrequent. Even though the experience and wines didn't stand out to me, I would be open to coming back in the future and giving it another try!

Rubino's a gem where the grapes--and the people--shine! Chill vibes, good pours, and scenery divine. So crisp, so smooth, my friend took the bait, Bought bottles on bottles--it really was great! Consider a membership if you are in the area often and bring guests to enjoy your discount!

Really wanted to love this winery but it was not a hit for us. Usually we find 1 or 2 wines that we really enjoy and bring home with us but during this visit we didn't like any of our pours. Actually we did enjoy the sparkling wine they gave us at the beginning so we did take a bottle of that home but the rest of the flight was just ok. Nothing stood out to us and sometimes they tasted a little too similar. My husband had the reds and he usually finds a red he loves but even he decided to pass. I will say that I gave them an extra star because everyone who worked here was amazing and really knowledgeable on the wines. The property is stunningly beautiful as well and I really did enjoy my time here. So I do think it's worth the visit as my palette may be different from others.

I came here with a group of my friends. We had a blast! Amazing service with Lisa. Loved that they have a lot of options at the deli. And the wine is was great. Such a beautiful winery. I can't wait to come again.

Came here for a birthday date on a misty and gloomy Saturday but still opted to have our wine tasting outdoors since the patio seating was spacious & the views were still nice. There's a fountain centerpiece right up front surrounded by flowers and some palm trees. Unfortunately, I think the staff forgot we were seated outside as we were the only party out there and there was no additional service/check-ins after they dropped off our flights. We didn't see anyone again until we went inside the main building to look at their wines. We ordered the white wine flight & landmark red wine flight and both were good. I may consider coming back when the weather is nicer since $25 for a wine flight is pretty affordable and the location is close by.

A friend and I were looking for a winery close to Dublin for wine tasting on a Saturday and this gem popped up! It's 15 mins from Dublin but ivery secluded and seems like it is far from the city. Very quiet and plenty of parking. There is no covered parking and Pleasanton generally has very hot days so some covered parking would be nice. We walked in to be seated and even before we paid, we got a glass of their bubbly to try! That's service! They have 1 white tastings and 3 red. Tastings are $25 and are comped if you buy 2 bottles. We decided to sit inside because it was hot and windy outside. We were walked to our table and when we were seated, the server explained the tastings, the membership etc. Nancy was very helpful, she even got me a box of corks when I asked if they had any to spare. Even though there were a lot of people inside, it was quiet. They bring out all the glasses in the tasting (4) at one time and explain the various wines. The rose was yummy but I didn't think any of them were as good as the glass of introductory bubbly. We each bought 2 bottles and with the tasting comped, each bottle turned out to be about $22 plus tax. They have a beautiful bar and plenty of seating. They also have a small deli with sandwiches and chips. On Wednesdays, they also have 2 for 1 tastings and something called a Duck Tour where they drive you around the estate and at each station, you get to do one tasting, for e.g.: when you stop at the chardonnay grapes, you taste the chardonnay etc. I highly recommend this place!

Rubino Estates Winery is a nice find in East Pleasanton. The winery sales area is amongst the vineyards. They have parking so you can come and relax. We purchased several bottles for tasting at home. Since we don't drink and drive,, the staff helped us navigate the selection down to three wines to try at home. We tried the Landmark Collection Proprietary Red tonight and now will try others later. Wow. They have several different collections to match your taste palette. See https://www.rubinoestateswinery.com/shop for current menu. Rubino Estates is a nice winery, with tasting , not a restaurant. See pictures below and from other yelpers. The inside area is nicely decorated and clean. Out front, there is a covered patio surrounded by rose bush plants. There were many people in the patio this afternoon. Apparently they get busy on Saturday and Sunday since the website says these two days require reservations that can be made online. The business is family owned. There is an events building which is used for weddings and other business gatherings. Check out their website for various tour and tasting pricing. Give them a visit to support local businesses.

It was my first visit to Rubino and I enjoyed my time! We came on a rainy Sunday afternoon and walked in for patio seating. Even with the rain, it was so lovely to be out and about. We both had different flights of red and shared a charcuterie board. Service was ok; not the best but in this situation I was more than happy with being left alone to enjoy my wine. I left with 2 bottles as well, as if you purchase 2 bottles, $25 is waived off of your tasting fee. I would love to come back again.

Wow,what a beautiful estate winery in Pleasanton that I never knew existed! I booked a flight tasting for me, and two of my friends in October and we sat outside in the patio area. It was a perfect Fall day with abundant sunshine! The wines were exceptional and we also shared some deli cheeses & meats and crackers. Our wine hostess was Lynette, she was awesome and answered all our questions with a smile. I am looking forward to my next visit in the near future. Patricia

We were first introduced to Rubino wines on our wedding day in 2016, and finally had the opportunity to go wine tasting since we were back at the Palm Event Center for family portraits. We stopped by without a reservation. My husband and I shared a landmark flight. The tasting begins with a glass of sparking wine, and loved the refreshing start to our tasting. There is a deli in the front, with mostly charcuterie and cheese that you can grab yourself to be rung up by the cashier. They waive the $25 tasting fee if you purchase 2 bottles. We ended up bringing back a bottle of the sparkling, Landmark Sangiovese, and Landmark Barbera. There's also a small area in the back, if you're interested in hosting a private event. Kudos for allowing kids, so this mama can finally enjoy her wine! We'll be back soon!

Such a nice place outside to enjoy wine with your friends. Great wine and snacks to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Ah, Rubino - the Cal-Ital winery. This winery really got me more interested in the wine scene in Livermore and Pleasanton area. Yet, none others in the vicinity are as good as Rubino Estates to me... It all started as my fiancee and I were going wedding venue "shopping." Located by Palm Event Center, we were impressed with the palm tree driveway as you turn in. Although we didn't end up selecting the location for our wedding, they did encourage us to try the wine next door (at Rubino Estates), as that was the one they partner with. Upon having our first flight there, we were hooked. The flights themselves are pretty neat, coming in a spiral holder with four glasses. The first time we were there, I remember the red wines all being super solid - there were none that my fiancee and I didn't like. In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we got our first (and still only) wine club membership here! We like that there is a variety of price ranges of wine (from $18-$50+) but generally affordable for what we like. The requirements of the membership are four bottles that they select every quarter for pick-up, but you have the ability to swap. The benefits are free tastings for up to four and discounts on bottles. Our favorite is getting the 12 bottle wine "case" (3 bottles of four different release wines) for $200 - it's a steal considering the quality of wine. In any case, lots of great things to say about the wine, staff, and proximity (i.e. not having to go all the way up to Napa or Sonoma...), and we enjoy taking our friends and family up to try it out!

Ask the Community - Rubino Estates Winery

Would love to do a wine tasting for mine & my husbands anniversary. Would we be able to bring our 8 month old?

It seems very family friendly but yo should call first.

I plan to bring 2 of my girlfriends to your winery on6/29... do I need to make reservations and is there live music on this day?

Hello Monette, thank you for asking! Reservations are recommended on weekends, but not needed during the week, so no reservations are required for your visit on Thursday the 29th. Additionally, we do not have live music experiences at this time.

Do you have reservations for a large group for a birthday celebration? Is there a restaurant on site?

We do request reservations for large groups; just contact us via email to info@rubinoestateswinery.com and we will be happy to coordinate. We do not have a restaurant but we do offer a selection of meats, crackers, cheeses, and other snacks to pair… Read more

Are kids allowed on the property?

Are the grounds open for picnics?

Yes the patio is covered and it's heated.

Do they allow pets on the picnic grounds?

They do. Just be aware you cannot bring outside food.

Can you take your tastings outside? Trying to figure out how kid friendly this spot is. Thanks!

Yes of course! We have a beautiful outdoor patio.

Do they allow outside food such as cheese and crackers?

No they do not allow outside food. They do sell cheese and crackers at the venue, however!

Is this winery kids friendly?

Depends on their age. My wife and I go often with our 10 and 12 year old kids. While we are tasting, the kids sit in the cafe area where we can see them. After we taste and buy a bottle, we head for the picnic area behind the winery or go play bocce… Read more

We have been able to try various tasting menus and as a group we really like their peacock zin, cuvee dray, and the sparkling. Recently we tried the wine train experience which worked out quite well since it was actually pretty sunny after a rainy November week. As we were celebrating some birthdays they decorated a chalkboard sign with our names and welcomed us with some sparkling. The guide warned us that there would be plenty of pours and some snacks at our final stop, so we grabbed a pack of crackers and some meat to tide us over. The train is really cute with barrel seats. However, be warned that it is quite a bumpy ride, so you may want to finish what's in your glass before it starts. It can also get pretty warm in the train, as we ended up not needing our jackets. We got to taste some of the grapes off the vines and many photo shoot opportunities as our guide told us some fun history tidbits. We ended at the water tower where there was more wine and a snack plate waiting for us. The decor in the water tower was really cute and festive for fall. The minimum for the train is 8 paid spots and the maximum is 14. The trolley could definitely comfortably fit that many. Their merch is really cute, and someone almost always find something to go home with. One last note, we love their French onion dip as well and look forward to having that each visit.

Another amazing experience. Very warm and friendly staff. Excellent service. Never disappointed…read morewhenever visited here.

Are you kidding me?! How is this the first time that I'm hearing about this event?! This event was…read morefabulous! It's basically an all you can sip wine buffet! An absolute dream for all of you winos out there. I came across this event on the Alameda County Fair website. I had planned to attend the fair, but couldn't figure out which date that I wanted to go. But once I saw this event, I knew that I just had to go and check it out because it just sounded too good to be true! I paid $45 for the event which included admission into the fair. Parking was not included, and I prepaid for parking online which costed $10. This event was actually held on the field right in the middle of the horse races! I was given a wrist band that included in and out privileges, but I ended up staying there the whole time since I got there about an hour and a half after it started. The event was held between 2 and 5 pm, but I rolled in "fashionably late" (ahem!) at 3:30pm. I actually feel like this was a great time to go because the lines weren't excessively long, and I might have passed out from all of the wine if I would have kept drinking. There were over 40 different wineries pouring their most popular and award winning wines! There were many local wineries as well as a few that I had recently visited while wine tasting in Mendocino county! Way too many to name, but there was so much variety! The pourers were mostly volunteers, so many of them didn't know too much about the wineries and the background of the wines. However, this event wasn't meant to be intimate as there were so many different wineries that were showcasing their wines. There were many shaded tables and chairs around where people could sit. They also had a big wager tent where people could sip while betting on the horse races! I did not participate in the betting this time around, but I would like to do it next year for sure. I must have tried over 50 different wines that day! A word of advice to anyone who is thinking about coming out: drink lots of water and pace yourself! I believe that they had a water stand available in the wagering tent, but I just brought my own. Unfortunately, I didn't follow my own advice and didn't pace myself. I'll let you figure out how the night ended... In any event, the Sip, Savor, & Wager was really fun! I met lots of people, mingled around, and tried many different wines that I had never tried before. There were also a few food trucks around for those who didn't get a chance to eat. This was the first time that this event was held in conjunction with the Alameda County Fair and I think it was an excellent turn out! Being able to get a closeup view of the horse races was icing on the cake. I definitely plan to attend the event next year if they decide to have it again!

So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.
