If you're looking for great wine to taste in Livermore, you came to the right place! On a sunny Saturday in July, four of us set out to visit Livermore for their abundance of winning wines. The drive into Bent Creek Winery leads to a quaint lot. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed with wine! Specifically the 2022 Chardonnay, which we ended up having a bottle of at our umbrella table outside by the vines, enjoying live music by a talented singer. The patio offers ample covered outdoor seating. We loved the Chardonnay so much we ended up with a bottle of 2022 Sauvignon Blanc. Both were delicious and refreshing on a summer's day with the table snacks we brought with us. The staff at Bent Creek were all very friendly, and very helpful with answering questions about the winery. While I didn't stray far off to explore the property, I'm looking forward to visiting again to taste more of Bent Creek.
Such a quaint and beautiful family-owned winery! The service was phenomenal, the wines were delicious, and the ambiance was just stunning! Snacks are offered during the tasting and they even brought out some chocolates and a glass of port at the end of our experience. Such a nice touch! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I can't wait to come back during my next visit!
The wine, service, ambiance was all exceptionally amazing! From the moment we arrived wine tasting and pleasant greeting was offered before seated. The host was busy seating another so another associate came to attend to up. Not just offer wine but a pleasant conversation and a warm welcome. 2022 Chardonnay was wonderful 2016 Cabernet Sav was amazing 2017 Zin also delightful The service was impeccable I enjoyed the experience so much I sign up as a member. A hidden gem! Family friendly.
We usually go to Napa wineries and are members there. We never have heard of Livermore wineries. A friend who is a member to this winery brought us here. We were enjoying the ambience and service from Rex, Rex was great. The wine was just ok IMO. Rex brought a port we enjoyed. There was a band we were enjoying and it was a pretty day and a nice setting to be outside by the vineyard. Rex told us to take our time and enjoy our last tasting. About 20 minutes later an older man approached us looking upset. We think he may have been an owner of the winery. He said "we close at 4:30, we would like to leave." His demeanor and tone of voice made us very uncomfortable. He said, "the chair you are sitting on is private property, it does not belong here and needs to be returned." I said "I'm sorry, we did not realize the time, Rex told us to take our time and the chair was already here when we sat down, we did not put it there." He said, "it is 5pm, it's been a long day, we would like to leave." We all looked at each other in disbelief. What terrible customer service. Our friend is a member and that is how a member gets treated? I'm a direct person, I don't have a problem with being direct. But be direct with giving a person dignity and respect. Rudeness says a lot about one's character. Have you ever heard of this quote? ... "Rudeness is a weak man's imitation of strength. " The photo we took was before the older man asked us to leave. There was three groups still sitting and enjoying there wine, they were still there when we left. We've never had this terrible treatment/ service in Napa. Maybe that's why we've never heard of Livermore wineries.
You can't beat the price of $15 wine tasting. We were greeted with a welcome wine (1st one from the tasting). We made a reservation online. I apologized for being 10 minutes late but they said "it doesn't matter" (that we were late). The grounds are beautiful and we could sit where we wanted and chose next to the vineyard. We were given a basket to choose a snack and a water bottle. Service got better towards the end as the beginning felt a bit robotic. The flight included 1 white + 4 reds. She brought them out 1 at a time and then the 2 cabs together (different years). At this point, the lady asked us our favorite so far and I said I enjoyed the first one as I prefer white wines. She kindly offered to let me have more chardonnay for my last 2 tastings. I appreciated that. She offered a 6th pouring and said they were doing a Port that day. She brought us both a chocolate but I didn't have the Port. Hubby enjoyed the combination though You can bring your outside food. We did! Just make sure to bring napkins and stuff. I do wish they'd offer a white flight for those who aren't fond of reds.
Can't say enough good things about the staff and the winery. We were greeted in the reception area by staff who made us feel welcome. I was pleasantly surprised to see the place packed on a Friday around noon, do recommend making reservations. The tasting was casual, unassuming and the pours were generous. I liked the Cab and the Syrah. The staff is very friendly and offered complimentary snacks and also a dessert wine with some dark chocolate at the end of the tasting which was such a nice touch. Location is cozy and had such a nice view of the vineyard. Can't wait to go back!
We made reservations for Saturday at 3pm. It was somewhat busy but we were seated right away. There's only outdoor wine tasting. $15 for 5 wines. We chose to be under the ceiling tent area. Only the top part has a covering. As soon as we check in, the staff poured us a glass of white wine. We weren't impressed by the wines here...but you get to choose a snack like chips/gardettos/candy. You can bring a picnic here. There's a couple of plum trees here so we picked some fruits. They were still a bit sour though. Warning- only 1 restroom available. There's almost always a wait...no good
Super friendly and welcoming service! My boyfriend and I came for wine tasting on our way home from visiting sequoia and kings canyon national park last weekend and this was a really nice way to wrap up the trip. We were greeted by a staff person right at the front and he instantly made us feel welcomed. The place provides complimentary snacks such as chips and cookies, and the tasting comes with a bonus dessert wine and chocolate at the end. Very laidback and casual atmosphere and the staff was so lovely. Would def recommend a visit.
We became wine club members while I was pregnant with our first (ok hubs did since I wasn't drinking). We've stayed members since because we enjoy coming for the quarterly wine pick up parties and of course their wines are good (especially if you like zins)! It's a smaller winery so it's fun to support local too Now it's a fun outing with the family and my kids get to pick some snacks! This time they even let us taste some of the Syrah grapes from the vine!

With a tasting, you get 20% off a bottle purchase - I brought back home a bottle of Zinfandel. :) Would definitely come back again. What a gem. I think I prefer this place over a lot of the wineries in Napa!
A rustic set up, hidden (almost) and a quiet place for a great day to enjoy your wine and some great company! We didn't realize the charm or we could have spent some more time here and not arrive 30 mins before they were about to close.... but they still did finish our pouring although it was 5 pm by the time we left.. so THANK YOU guys!! Some great wines but my favorites were probably the Ports here! We tasted three and we loved all three, not too sweet like most Port wines so definitely a winner for those who don't like sweet wines. Goes really well with and without chocolate.. I got all the three bottles.. so ready to open them soon on a nice warm day in the coming winters! Parking is limited. The space is really cool so I would go back again and this time with plenty of time to sip and enjoy their views and the quiet time. Oh and they are open only on the weekends.

First time visiting Bent Creek, and what a beautiful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a beautiful pathway with pretty views. Upon entering, we checked in on the side and were greeted by such a lovely host. She was incredibly patient and helpful in helping us choose the wine we liked. She was so determined to make sure we found something we truly enjoyed before committing to a bottle. We were given the option to sit anywhere we wanted, and shortly after, another staff member brought our bottle along with complimentary snacks. We also learned that you're welcome to bring your own snacks , which is such a nice touch! The atmosphere here is so peaceful and lovely. We truly enjoyed the amazing customer service, the beautiful views, and the relaxing experience. And to top it all off, their bottle prices and wine tasting prices are unbeatable! read more
I've been to Bent Creek many times over the years, so this review is longoverdue. Bent Creek is one of the first places I think of when wine tasting in Livermore, due to their delicious wines. I always have wonderful service with such nice staff who love to share their love of wine with my friends and I. I feel like each visit, I learn something new! We typically sit outside and bring our own snacks. Bent Creek feels homey, with no fluff or frills and having to act like we know what we're doing. The highlight of each visit is probably introducing my friends to ports with chocolate and how it changes the flavor! It's a pleasure to visit, and I can't wait to come back. read more
I've been wine tasting at Bent Creek winery twice now. Last time I went, it was to sample the ports. Ports. Many wineries do not have a large selection of port wine, but Bent Creek does, and they are all excellent! Bent Creek winery is in an absolutely stunning location in Livermore valley. The tasting room staff are all experienced and are great at guiding you through the tastings. In addition, you are allowed to pick out a bagged snack that you can eat while you taste wine. It's a very cute touch! Last time we were there, we decided to join the wine club. We really like the port! read more

Had a great time here! It felt extremely personable and nice. Our server was the sweetest woman in the world and we had many great conversations with her. Our entire group took home a bottle of the Port and we bought an extra bottle to share while we were there. The experience was great and truly unforgettable. read more
My first time going wine tasting and Bent Creek winery was a memorable experience. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. But what made this so great was the general ambiance and vibe. It was like a typical wine tasting but much more casual, a place where you can sit and bring your own food for hours with your friends. There were no obligations which I appreciated. A cute winery with spacious outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and they allow picnicking. They had a tasting of 5 wines, our favorite was the Zin. I would recommend wearing practical shoes as some tables are on dirt and a slight hill. Also, when parking their lot is pretty small so it's best to park along to road when you see a spot. I would recommend visiting, and making a reservation. read more
This place has a very nice view with plenty of outdoor seating. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. +1 to having treats for our dog!!! They also allow you to bring your own food, saw people bring a whole afternoon tea set!! The wine itself could be better but it's not bad. Definitively a good date spot or friendly relaxing spot. read more

There are so many great things I could say about Bent Creek Winery! my best friend and I hadn't seen one another in months due to the going's on of life and planned a girl's day! We knew we wanted to wine taste and did a little research and landed on Bent Creek, which my mom really enjoys and suggested as well! We could not have picked a better place! Bent Creek is gorgeous itself and the surrounding views are just as beautiful! Every employee we encountered was kind and welcoming, especially Lorna! She helped take care of us and we were so thankful for her hospitality and good spirits! The wine selection was delicious, we enjoyed all of them, and we even got to see and taste a Zin fresh press session, which neither of us had done and was SO cool! Everything from beginning to end was perfect in every way and we will definitely be back asap! read more
This was my very first visit to a winery and I'm so glad I chose this one. It's in a beautiful part of Livermore and there are a plethora of wineries to choose from in the immediate area. We came here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with absolutely gorgeous weather (mid 70s). We immediately went into the tasting room and were warmly greeted by a host (or wine connoisseur - I'm not really sure what their titles were). We told her that it was our first time here and she recommended the wine flight where we could try all of their wines including the white, several reds including ports. She also took the time to explain the history of this particular winery and how the owners decided to do this as a retirement hobby. Through trial and error and some schooling, fast forward to today and their award winning wines. The host even had us try some of the grapes that were just about ripe enough for picking. After the flight of wine, we opted to split a bottle of the Red on Red while sitting outdoors enjoying the spectacular weather. We even took a bottle of the white home since it can't be found outside of CA. An absolute great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. So glad we stopped in. read more

My two girlfriends And I spent the day in Livermore excited for a dah of wine tasting. The ladies greeted us excited and with smiles! That's always the first and most important impression! Thank you specifically to Julie B and Marie for making our first time so fun!! You both made us feel welcome, went out of your way to make it special-and just because made us feel like we knew you ladies forever! Had a wonderful afternoon tasting wine at Bent Creek. Our server, Sue, did a super job explaining the various wines. There are a nice variety of wines to sample. We purchased several bottles to enjoy at home. A snack and bottled water were offered as well. Thank you Bent Creek! read more

A super cute and quaint winery! For $10 per person, you will be able to taste 11 samplers (2 whites, 6 reds and 3 ports). Totally worth it. On top of that, during your visit this fee can be applied to the purchase of any bottle. Bent Creek is a small winery with a smaller tasting room, but the wine is fairly good. It's intense in flavor and definitely took me by surprise. I wasn't a big fan of their ports, but their whites and especially their reds were incredibly enjoyable. Of course it doesn't compare to Napa, but the wine itself being from Livermore is impressive. There is outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered, patio style. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, I felt like I was chilling in the backyard of someone's house (technically, I kind of was). Parking was a bit of a hassle as it was the weekend and it was crowded. Also, just a heads up that it's a gravel lot. One thing I absolutely did not like about Bent Creek was that there are no real restrooms (or at least when I was there). It was porta potties! So, make sure to bring some hand sanitizers! Bent Creek was my first stop in my wine tasting adventures in Livermore and they did not disappoint. Wine and atmosphere was good, and staff members were sweet! read more
